As Yang narrowly dodged a punch from Amond, the huntress let loose another punch at the warrior's face followed up with a barrage of kicks to his armored chest. Despite her assault, the man still seemed more agitated than actually injured. Moving backward to gain some distance from her foe, Yang reloaded her gauntlets as she took in a quick deep breath.

"Come on! Where's that spark I just saw! I actually felt that punch you pulled after I sent you flying. But now your power level's back to being puny again." Amond yelled out as he checked his scouter's readings.

"If you think you'll be able to beat me without going all out then you're dead wrong!" Amond continued as a bright orange light filled the landscape, blinding not only the two opponents, but everyone else in the process as the two groups stopped fighting for a brief moment to shield their eyes.

"What the hell is happening over there?!" Raisin exclaimed as the bright light started to fade out.

"She did it! Thank goodness." Yang thought to herself as she let out a sigh of relief.

To their shock and horror though, the tree remained standing, seemingly left untouched.

"What?!" Weiss said exasperatedly, her voice barely able to produce the words.

"T-That's impossible…How is the tree still standing?!" Blake yelled out.

"Did you really think you four had enough power to destroy the Tree of Might? Thousands of warriors from across the stars have tried to destroy it, and they all failed miserably!" Amond replied back as he wore a nasty smirk on his face.

"Damn you!" Yang muttered under her breath as she clenched her metallic fist.

However, before the fighting could resume, a deafening shriek could be heard as it rang out across the barren forest. Emerging from the tree in a blur of rose petals was a now fearful Ruby Rose as she stumbled into the clearing, constantly looking behind her. Blasting through the trees, even downright incinerating any that stood directly in his way, was a wounded Lakasei.

"Grrraahhh! Get back here! I'll tear you asunder for what you did to me!" Lakasei roared out at the top of his lungs.

Creating a summon glyph on the ground behind Ruby, Weiss created a 15 foot tall armored knight. As Lakasei descended on Ruby with murderous intent clear on his face, the blue and white knight quickly emerged from the glyph as it swung its massive sword against Lakasei's body.

More surprised than injured from the impact, Lakasei flipped through the air before stopping himself as he looked down at Team RWBY.

"You want to die too? That's fine with me!" Lakasei exclaimed with a crazed smile on his face as he rushed through the air, pulling his left arm back to strike.

Realizing Lakasei was moving too quick to counterattack, the knight got into a defensive stance. Sending the punch forward, Team RWBY watched in shock as Lakasei obliterated the knight with a single attack. As the giant knight faded into white and blue dust, Lakasei turned toward Team RWBY. Sprinting forward, Blake and Yang rushed to confront the purple alien.

Throwing a punch out, Yang watched her fist go straight through Lakasei's torso, only for his whole body to seemingly vanish into thin air. Looking around in confusion, the two huntresses attempted to locate their opponent.

"Behind you!" Blake shouted out as she fired her pistol off at Lakasei, who was now floating behind Yang.

Like with Yang's attack, the bullets went clean through his body as Lakasei disappeared once more.

Appearing in between the two teens, Lakasei grabbed both of their heads, slamming them together. While Blake fell to the ground, Yang, now very disoriented, barely was able to regain her footing as she threw another punch at her opponent with her mechanical limb.

Catching the punch with minimal effort, Lakasei tightened his grip around the iron hand, causing the metal to squeal as small sparks scattered out from the point of contact. Just as Blake was shaking off the last attack she received, Lakasei whipped Yang through the air before hurtling her straight at her friend.

As the two huntresses tumbled across the ground, Ruby and Weiss looked up as Lakasei rose high into the air as his left hand shined with white energy.

"I'm through with all of you! You may have caught me off guard once, but I won't give you another chance!" Lakasei exclaimed as a white orb in his left palm began to expand in size.

Standing close together, Team RWBY watched on in fear.

"Die!" Lakasei screamed out.

Launching the projectile, the ball of Ki shot through the air, getting closer and closer to the four huntresses. Just as it was about to reach them however, a yellow ball of Ki was sent flying as it clashed with the white ball. Getting sent high into the air, Lakasei's attack quickly plummeted into the far distance, obliterating a large patch of the forest as the ground briefly shook from the impact.

"Alright, who the hell-" Lakasei managed to blurt out before getting blasted back by an even larger yellow Ki orb.

Immediately, behind the huntresses, a massive sonic boom rang out across the forest, the very trees themselves threatening to snap in two as they bent forward from the immense force before slowly returning to their upright positions.

Turning around and staring up into the sky, Ruby and her team looked up to see Evan floating midair.

"Evan?" Ruby said softly.

Looking down toward them, the Saiyan looked at Ruby with a clear look of relief on his face before it then rapidly shifted to a more stern look as he turned toward the Crusher Corps.

"That was your first and only warning shot! Leave this planet, now!" Evan shouted out.

"Oh yeah? And what if we say no?" Amond bragged as Evan focused his Ki, his black hair turning a brilliant gold.

Covering the distance almost instantly, Evan sent a punch flying straight toward Amond's chest, breaking the alien armor with ease as the fist broke through his skin.

As the alien spat out blood, Amond tried to send a fist of his own at Evan, only for the Saiyan to push the attack aside using his other arm. As he did so, Evan pulled his left arm out Amond's chest as the teen raised his elbow up before bringing it down on his foe's right arm, breaking it in the process. As the alien yelled out in pain, Evan looked him dead in the eyes.

"Because now I'm not asking." Evan stated coldly.

Standing in the bridge of the spaceship, Turles watched the circular monitor with pure shock as it showed Evan floating in the air, his hair getting blown about by the wind.

"That hair…that tail…Could he actually be a Saiyan?!" Turles said aloud in disbelief, as if he needed to confirm exactly what he was seeing.

"I can't believe it! Another Saiyan survived Frieza's wrath!" Turles thought to himself excitedly.

Just as the Saiyan started to take in everything, he watched as Evan's black hair changed to a bright yellow as it stood up on all ends.

"What is that?! I've never seen a Saiyan do that before! Could it be…No…that's nothing but a legend. Regardless, his power level has risen exponentially! It's even higher than mine! How is that possible?!" Turles contemplated as the monitor displayed Evan's rising power level.

"Are there any other Saiyans on this planet? If there are, I must know!" Turles decided as he turned away from the monitor and rushed for the door, his footsteps reverberating off the metal interior of the ship with every move he made.

As Amond floated back clutching his injured arm, Cacao, Lakasei, and Daiz flew in from all sides as they covered their teammate. Getting in close, Cacao tried to grab him from behind, forcing Evan to elbow him in the head and rotating his body around and delivering a kick to the chest with his right leg.

Taking advantage, Lakasei delivered a punch to the side. Flinching from the strike, Evan watched from his peripheral vision as Daiz clasped his hands together and prepared to deliver a hard double axe handle to the back of Evan's head.

Turning back around, Evan charged up a Ki blast in his left head and turned back towards the other two. Aiming the Ki blast at Lakasei's injured arm, Evan blasted Lakasei away momentarily as the Saiyan brought both arms up by his head to stop Daiz's strike.

Flying in close, Evan readied a punch of his own as Daiz returned in kind. Both fighters aimed for the face, punching each other in their opposing cheek. Flying back, Evan watched as Cacao flew in at high speeds, aiming to grab his legs from behind. Flipping midair, Evan dodged the attack as the evil alien rushed forward, only to grab at nothing. And with the Saiyan's body flipped 180 degrees and Cacao directly below him, Evan opened up both of his palms as he unleashed another Ki attack, almost blasting Cacao all the way to the ground in the process.

Before he could reorient himself, in the distance, he saw Raisin charge up a large Ki attack. Letting loose a narrow beam of white Ki, Evan raised his hand and watched as his Ki went from yellow to red.

"Crimson Cannon!" Evan yelled out as the two beams momentarily clashed before Evan's beam won out, blazing through Raisin's and getting closer and closer to the purple alien.

As the sky shined red for a moment, Evan flipped backed around to his initial position and looked toward the smoking black cloud where Raisin once stood.

"Raisin!" Lakasei yelled out as he looked at the few remnants of his brother.

"How dare you! I'll kill…" Lakasei began to say as he prepared to charge in once more.

"Enough." Turles called out, stopping the Crusher Corps in their tracks.

"L-Lord Turles…" Lakasei mumbled out.

Standing behind the rest of the Crusher Corps was Turles. Like Evan, his hair was black but spiked in a much different way. Most of his attire was obscured by the massive white cape that was wrapped around his body with the only other thing of note being the red scouter attached to the left side of his face. Quietly, Turles pointed toward Evan.

"You there, what's your name?" Turles questioned.

"I'm the Saiyan known as Mato, but you will refer to me as Evan." Evan stated, which caused Turles to start laughing

"Evan?" Turles questions with a smile on his face.

"You even gave yourself an alien name. A ridiculous name to match even more ridiculous clothes." Turles continues as Evan floats in the air, unamused.

"This is priceless. Though I must admit, when we came to this rock, I was not expecting to find another survivor of Frieza's massacre. But I certainly won't turn down an opportunity like this." Turles explained.

"Alright Evan." Turles said almost jokingly right before the smile on his face changed to a more serious one.

"Are there any other members of our race that came with you to this planet?" Turles questioned with glimpses of hope appearing as he spoke, waiting on Evan to answer.

"No. I'm the only one." Evan replied with a dejected and forlorn look

"*Sigh* Damn it. I had hoped that wasn't the case…" Turles responded with a look of frustration clear on his face.

"But this is still good! If you join my crew, we'll…" Turles continued with a welcoming smile.

"Not happening." Evan quickly replied back.

"Look, this planet will wither and die. The only way you'll be able to survive this calamity is if you join me. Together, we'll reach levels of power that will put Frieza to shame!" Turles exclaimed.

"Forget it. I told your bootlickers this already. Get off this planet, and I'll let the rest of you live." Evan warned as sweat slid down the side of his face.

"It seems you need more time to fully consider my offer…but I can wait. Time is on my side after all." Turles stated as he removed and tossed the white cape aside revealing a set of blue Frieza Force armor and his brown Saiyan tail.

"It's been some time since I've had to assist my men in battle. I hope I haven't gotten too rusty." Turles announced as he stretched his arms out before getting into a battle ready stance.

Launching himself forward, Turles pulled his right arm as Evan readied himself. Bringing his arm forward, Evan tilted his head to the right and dodged the attack. Swinging with his left arm now, Evan stopped and redirected the strike with his right arm as Daiz and Cacao came from both sides with Ki charged up in their hands.

Creating an energy barrier around him, Evan let the oncoming Ki attacks bounce off it. Dispelling the barrier, Evan rocket forward toward Cacao as he delivered a right hook to the alien's head

With Daiz and Turles approaching from behind, Evan grabbed Cacao by the arm and flung him around his body and toward the two fighters. Flying to side and out of the way of Cacao, Turles dashed forward and tackled Evan with his right shoulder.

Taking the attack, Evan headbutted Turles and went for a series of blows to the chest. After punching him three times in quick succession, Evan saw Daiz flying toward the two of them. Flying away, Evan looked back to see Turles hold out his hand and launch numerous purple lasers at him. Weaving in and out of the first few, Evan saw Amond coming toward him with his left arm pulled back to strike.

Charging up Ki in both hands, Evan spun around and let loose a barrage of Ki blasts all around him. As the Ki orbs clashed with Turles's lasers, numerous explosions happened all around Evan. As dozens of smoke clouds expanded outward, the teen concentrated and sensed for Amond's Ki. Locating it, Evan charged forward and launched his fist straight into Amond's chest again.

As the two emerged from the smoke cloud, Evan channeled his energy and let loose a barrage of Ki into Amond's torso, blasting a hole through his body in the process.

Grasping at his torso, the light in Amond's eyes faded as he fell out of the sky and collapsed to the ground. His expression full of fear, Lakasei stopped himself midair as he backed away from the ongoing fight.

"Forget this!" Lakasei thought to himself as he then looked toward Team RWBY.

As a grimace grew quickly on his face, Lakasei clenched his uninjured hand.

Watching from below, Team RWBY witnessed Evan along with the rest of the Crusher Corps vanish as the air high above furiously shook from the force of dozens upon dozens of shockwaves.

"Where are they? I can't even see them! How about you Blake?" Weiss questioned as she turned toward her friend.

"Nothing. Not even airships move as quickly as they're going. How fast are these guys?" Blake replied back as she attempted to spot Evan and the Crusher Corps.

"They're not just fast." Ruby muttered under her breath.

"What?" Blake questioned as she turned toward Ruby.

"When I used the magic in Ozpin's cane on the tree, one of those purple aliens got in the way…" Ruby explained as the rest of the group looked to face her.

"And he stopped the attack." Ruby concluded.

"He stopped-what do you mean he stopped the attack?!" Weiss inquired with a baffled look on her face.

"You saw that injury on his arm while he was fighting us? He blocked the majority of the blast with it. He got burned by it, but it clearly wasn't even enough to knock him out." Ruby elaborated as Yang stepped forward.

"Didn't Ozpin say that there was enough magic to blow up the moon, and then some?" Yang asked as Ruby gave her a small nod.

Without warning the sky briefly flashed with a white light before red light quickly enveloped it leaving a smoking cloud from where the white light had originated.

"Unbelievable…" Yang said, her voice trailing off as she looked up at the unfolding chaos above them all.

"I never thought there were actual people out there that were this strong. Hell, compared to us, they might as well be gods." Yang continued in utter bewilderment.

In the distance, a figure fell from the sky before crashing to the ground with little fanfare.

Before the group could react to it, Lakasei suddenly appeared out of nowhere, now only a few feet in front of them, with a fist aiming straight for Ruby's head. However, Evan immediately appeared in between the attack and Ruby, blocking the punch with his left hand.

Closing his fist around Lakasei's hand, Evan yanked him close before kneeing him in the gut, launching him into the air.

"You ok?" Evan questioned.

As the group gave a quick nod, most of them looking either overwhelmed or in shock, Evan readied himself.

"Good. Just…Just stay close together! I can't protect you guys if you're all attacked in different spots!" Evan quickly ordered the group before disappearing once more.

/-/

As Lakasei reoriented himself midair, Evan teleported in front of him with a look of pure rage on his face.

"How dare you?!" Evan muttered as his yellow aura doubled in size.

"Keep my friends out of this! You're fighting me, and only me!" Evan yelled out as he rushed forward and punched Lakasei in the head again and again as small bits of blood splattered against his clothes.

Using the momentum from one of his last punches, Evan spun around before kicking Lakasei in the arm, not only breaking the limb and some of his ribs but also launching him straight into the dirt far below them with a loud CRASH as a sizable dust cloud slowly rose up and into the surrounding sky.

/-/

"His what?" Turles thought to himself as he watched Evan kill Lakasei.

Turles watched from afar, perplexed as Evan began to fight Daiz and Cacao.

"That can't be right. Why would a proud Saiyan warrior stoop so low to save those worthless worms?" Turles contemplated.

"When I saw that the population was still left intact on this planet, I figured he simply conquered it and decided to rule over it while staying off of Frieza's radar. That would certainly explain the outfit and how he goes by a non Saiyan name." Turles thought to himself as Cacao attempted to fight back against Evan.

"But he must know this planet is doomed, so why does he still fight so fiercely to protect it? Especially when I've given him an easy way off this rock. It just doesn't add up." Turles continued as Daiz flew over to Turles's position.

"We're getting pummeled out there sir! I don't think we can win this! I'd say we should cut our losses and get out-" Daiz began to say before Turles cut him off by grabbing him by the arm and pulling him close.

"You listen carefully. We are not leaving this planet until the Tree of Might has wringed every last drop of energy that this puny speck has stored up." Turles coldly explained out as he squeezed down on Daiz's arm, the man's bones on the edge of breaking.

"Do you understand?" Turles questioned the warrior furiously as he looked into his eyes.

And in those few seconds, Turles saw something shocking. Instead of the immediate signs of loyalty that he had seen time after time again, he saw fear. And not in the traditional sense either. It was as if Daiz feared what Evan could do to him more than what he feared Turles would do to his arm at that moment. Never once in his time on Turles's crew had Daiz acted the way he was now acting.

"Do you?!" Turles yelled out, the Saiyan now about ready to rip his arm off depending on what Daiz said next.

"Y-Yes, sir." Daiz stammered out as the look in his eyes changed back to normal.

"Then get out there and fight!" Turles exclaimed as he pushed Daiz back toward Evan.

"Whether I want to admit it or not, his power level is superior. I need something to turn the tables, but the tree still needs a little more time before any of its fruit is ripe enough to eat." Turles thought to himself as Daiz rejoined Cacao in the fight against Evan.

"That leaves only one option, but Mato's not going to let me do it with how he's fighting. I need a distraction, an opening..." Turles contemplated as he saw Evan take out Cacao with a series of blows before finishing it off with a barrage of Ki blasts, leaving Daiz as the last remaining member under Turles's command.

Looking down toward Team RWBY on the ground and back up toward Daiz, who was now fighting against Evan, Turles came to a decision.

"I can't afford to have a crew with an ounce of weakness or disloyalty within its ranks. Men are replaceable, obedience isn't." Turles decided as he brought both of his palms together down by his chest.

"And such blatant disobedience must be made an example of." Turles thought to himself as he concentrated as much Ki as he could down into his hands.

Watching Evan focus all of his efforts on fighting Daiz, Turles quickly moved his palms away from each other. In that moment, he manifested a large ring made of pure Ki in between them. Letting it increase in size, Turles held the attack in between his hands before swinging the attack up above his head. In a singular motion, Turles swung his arms forward and released the attack. Flying away from it, he watched as the ring blasted closer and closer toward Daiz, who was currently grappling with Evan.

/-/

"Aaagghhh!" Daiz screamed out as the Ki attack almost instantly eviscerated the alien warrior.

Continuing forward, the attack slammed into Evan, and forced him back hundreds of feet through the air. Readjusting himself, Evan looked ahead trying to see where Turles had launched the attack from, but he was nowhere in sight.

"Where did he-" Evan thought before a familiar voice rang out

"Weiss!" Blake yelled out worriedly.

Acting on instinct, Evan rocketed down toward the source of the noise.

Stepping back down to ground level, Evan saw Turles with his right hand wrapped tightly around Weiss's neck as he had suspended a few inches off the ground. Regardless of the incredible odds stacked against them, the trio of teens were ready to help save their friend, as Yang and Blake already had their weapons out and ready to use, with Ruby steadying her scythe's sniper rifle mode in her arms. Despite that, Turles kept his gaze solely on Evan.

"One more move and I'll stain the soil with her blood!" Turles threatened as Weiss looked at Evan with a look of terror clear on her face.
