A/N: This is based on the song Fallen by Lola Amour.

OoOoOo

What if I told you that I've fallen?

And I like the way you say my name?

My heart skips a beat when I hear you calling

And I like that you won't go away.

Mamori had been haunted by that simple question for 3 years. She didn't know how or why but it was already late when she had to acknowledge that she was having these unconventional strong feelings towards an unfathomable demonic person.

She couldn't pinpoint the exact time when, but she knew when it had become apparent. It was after THAT game against the dinosaurs. Initially, Mamori thought her motherly instinct was all to blame when she had become hyper aware of Hiruma's being. He was still recovering, she reckoned. It wasn't like she was paying extra attention towards him.

But when she blushed nearing the shade of an overripe tomato upon hearing her unique curse endearment after their Christmas bowl championship, she had to ponder upon these unwanted reactions. The more time she allotted in thinking about this development, the more her thoughts got lost into the strangeness of it all. She was not new to the whole crushing thing; she had plenty of crushes back in her middle school. Although she never really acted upon it, she knew she had a type. And Hiruma was NOT and emphasis in NOT her type. In fact, he was the complete opposite of her type.

"Fucking Mamori, go to Saikyoudai." If she thought her endearment as a manager brought her into a blushing mad idiot, her actual name escaping his lips brought even more havoc inside her. It hadn't even been a day since she was stripped of her managerial roles for Deimon when Hiruma had started calling her thru her real name. The simple act itself jolt her heart into lapses of beats that was going tachycardic.

"I'll think about it." Luckily enough, she was able to stop herself from jumping at him.

But never mind, don't wanna give you any trouble

Never mind, never mind

I'm OK with being by your side for as long as I can hide

What if I told you that I've fallen?

It was supposed to be easy to confess, Mamori had seen it being done first hand but seeing versus doing wasn't the same thing. And when you factor in the person or demon that Mamori had been wanting to confess to? Her courage would tend to plummet.

Ever since she had known Hiruma, she knew that his world revolved around few things. In fact, if she took an educated guess she could say with pure confidence that there were only two things that made Hiruma's world go round. One was Amefuto, and secondly that was blackmail material. She knew that way before even uttering anything, she might as well wave a flag of defeat. Her feelings would only cause them trouble especially now that Sena and the others had entered college.

"What the fuck are you staring at fucking manager?" She was brought back to reality.

"Nevermind Hiruma-kun. It was nothing."

But sometimes she had to wonder.

What if I told you that I've fallen?

The heart-shaped arrow through my chest

I'll make you breakfast every morning

And pick you up when you're a mess

There were days when her will power would almost succumb to her emotional needs. Those days would heightened whenever he would spend the night at her apartment. They would be deep into analyzing and planning that they wouldn't be able to tell an early morning from the night. And Mamori's instinct would then go hyperdrive and make him stay the night. He would begrudgingly agree. As those days had transpired numerous times, he would change into his clothes that were placed neatly at a small drawer of her cabinet. She would take the bed of course, and he would sleep at the futon that she had bought right after the first time that he had sleep over.

As morning rays wake her from her short lived slumber, she would come face to face with a peaceful demeanor of her reason of affection. Mamori's smile spread throughout her being like some infectious disease. She stared at the sleeping figure for a couple more minutes before getting up and making breakfast.

Mamori waited patiently for him to wake up. The breakfast she made was already done and she was just finishing her tea. Not long after, there were small rustles that could be heard from her bedroom. It indicated her that he was folding the futon he had used.

There were no good mornings. He had gone to the bathroom and came in the kitchen in record time. She had placed his black coffee directly across her, to which he had found easily. Hiruma grabbed his laptop from the side and started typing away.

"You've got some bed head." Before she could really think about it, her hands had found itself in Hiruma's hair. They were both taken aback by her sudden gesture. The horror of realization hit her like a cold water splashing her awake. Her hands automatically retreated. She was done for.

"Tche."

But I know that it won't ever stop

You know I'll be there when you call me, whether you like it or not

Without a warning, now I'm falling for this picture in my phone

But don't mind me, I'm just falling, I'll be back up on my own

No matter how much she tried to denied the fact that she was having strong romantic feelings towards the infamous Hiruma Yoichi, it was just futile. There were days when she even wondered if she was still sane because no matter how much she wanted to wish the man into oblivion, a greater part of her still wanted him to be by her side. She wanted him to call her, need her and most definitely want her.

"You're annoying Yoichi" she told the picture in her phone. Hiruma's face smirked back at her, that same annoying smirk that she wanted to wipe with her lips with. What else could she really do aside from admire the devil from afar? Ok so maybe not so far, but still it was so hard. She knew she was falling beyond physics could allow.

"I love you Yoichi" she whispered before turning her phone off and forcing herself into some sleep

Please don't say my name

Help me put out this flame

I'd rather hold onto this feeling that you don't even believe in

What if I told you that I've fallen?

"Fucking Manager"

"Creampuff monster"

"Mother hen"

Every little 'endearment' Hiruma had given her had resonated thru the campus and into her being. It was like he was everywhere these days. And no matter how much she wanted to avert her attention to the growing feelings she has for the man, it was always ignited by his mere presence.

"Why don't you f*cking date already f*cking manager and f*cking trash" Agon stated to spite the other man. But before Hiruma could actually respond in any kind of retort or gun. Mamori beat him into it.

"Someone hasn't asked yet." She intended it to be joke just to spite Agon back but instead of spiting, what she got was a pin drop. Everyone within hearing vicinity glitched. And when she looked at Hiruma, shocked was an understatement.

"What the f*ck manajerk?" She wanted the earth to swallow her whole.

"I was just kidding." And everyone laughs full of tense.

What if I told you that I've fallen

Never mind, never mind, never mind (repeat 8x)

(Oh never mind, I said never mind)

I shouldn't tell you that I've fallen

Pitiful looks were thrown towards Mamori ever since she had that off comment. First of all, she really didn't need all that fake sympathy and secondly, she already know how pitiful she may seem. She really wanted to squash the rumors that were going around but it was partly true so she also didn't want to correct it. She reckoned it will die soon since Hiruma's name was also thrown around along with her rumor.

She stared at the horizon besides Hiruma. The rest of the team was practicing in the field.

"Hold into it f*cking Anezaki."

"What?" she turned her attention to him abruptly.

"I'll f*cking come." he paused, contemplating if he should say whatever it was that got stuck in his throat but instead pop a gum.

"Is that so?" she replied in understanding.

"Hmmmph"
