Chapter 9: Rowena's Nest, Helga's Sett, and Salazar's Burrow.

Archie smiled as he walked up to Ravenclaw Tower. He stepped in front of Rowena's portrait. "Before I show you Rowena's Nest, I should let you know that each founder's portrait also acts as your advisor. Not only does each founder have a portrait that guards the entrance to each of the founders' chambers, but they also have one in your offices." He said. "Hello Rowena, we'd like to see your nest." Archie said.

Rowena smiled. "Of course, Archie." She said before her portrait opened. Archie gestured for Fillius to enter first with the other three following behind him. Rowena's Nest was like Godric's Den in its opulence, but the only difference was that instead of Gryffindor red and gold, the chambers were decked in Ravenclaw blue and bronze.

The diminutive Charms professor looked around and smiled. "It looks amazing. And these chambers have been here since the time of the founders?" Fillius asked. Archie nodded. "Yes and believe it or not when Hogwarts was being built Rowena's Nest and the Room of Requirement were two of the first things that Rowena had built." He said. "Would you like to move into the chambers Fillius?" Archie asked.

When Archie got a nod of assent from Fillius, he smiled. "Mitsey!" Archie called to the Ravenclaw head house elf. Mitsey popped into the room. "Yes Master Ravenclaw?" Mitsey asked, bowing deeply to Archie. "This is Professor Filius Flitwick he's the Ravenclaw Head of House. Please move his things to Rowena's Nest. You will also serve as Professor Flitwick's house elf for as long as he is Head of House for Ravenclaw, please take any orders Professor Flitwick gives you as if they come from me." Archie said. Mitsey nodded. "Yes Master Ravenclaw." She said before she popped away.

"Welcome to Rowena's Nest Filius." Archie said. "So, Pomona would you like to see Helga's Sett?" Archie asked as they walked to the Hufflepuff Common Room entrance. He walked up to Helga's portrait and smiled. "Hello Helga, we'd like to see your Sett." Archie said. Helga nodded. "Of course, Archie." She said before her portrait opened. Pomona walked into Helga's Sett and smiled. The opulent office was decked in Hufflepuff yellow and black as was the office. Archie didn't even open his mouth to ask when Pomona said she wanted to move into the chambers.

"Very well." Archie said before he turned to an empty area. "Draconius!" He called out to the head Hufflepuff house elf. Draconius popped into the room and bowed. "Yes Master Hufflepuff?" The little house elf asked. "This is Professor Pomona Sprout the Hufflepuff Head of House, please move her stuff into the chambers. You'll also be acting as Professor Sprout's house elf please take any orders Professor Sprout gives you as if they come from me." Archie said with a small smile.

"Yes Master Hufflepuff." Draconius said before popping away. Archie smiled at Pomona. "Welcome to Helga's Sett." He said to Pomona before parting ways with Filius, Minerva, and Pomona before walking towards the Slytherin Common Room to look at Salazar's Burrow. "Hello Salazar, would you mind?" Archie asked. Salazar's portrait moved out of the way and Archie walked into Salazar's Burrow. Like the other three chambers, Salazar's Burrow was decked out in green and silver.

A pop broke Archie out of his thoughts. It was Moopy, the head Slytherin house elf. "Hello Master Slytherin." She greeted the Slytherin Head of House. "Hello Moopy, could you bring my things up from the Chamber of Secrets?" Archie asked. "Of course, Master Slytherin!" Moopy said before popping away.

Archie smiled and walked into his office and looked around. "This is going to be better than staying in the Chamber of Secrets. That way if any of my students need to see me after my office hours, they don't have to go down to the Chamber of Secrets to see me." He said.

"Well said Archie, well said." Salazar said from his portrait. Archie watched as Moopy unpacked everything and put them in their place. "When your done unpacking Moopy could you get me a cup of tea?" He asked. Moopy nodded. "Certainly, Master Slytherin." She said as she placed a small stack of parchment and a quill and inkwell on his desk.

"Thank you, Moopy." Archie said to the little elf as he started reading the small stack of parchments. The parchments were various Wizengamot Committee on Education proposals that Griselda needed him to sign.

Archie then turned to his mail. He saw a letter from Amelia Bones and after checking it for potions and charms, he opened it and read its contents.

Re: Investigation into the burglary of the Great Mansion

Your Grace,

I have an update for you about the investigation into the burglary of the Great Mansion. We have arrested Peter Anderson and have charged him with theft of family magic protected items, necromancy, and alleged Death Eater ties. We have retrieved the original grimoire pages and have put them in protective custody until after we have completed our investigation.

We are holding him until we finish our investigation. Once we finish, we plan to try him with a six-person panel to prevent you from needing to be away from Hogwarts for longer than necessary due to the threats of attempts on your life.

I hope that these threats aren't true, but I'd rather be safe than sorry, so the trial will only be tried with a six-person panel to keep you safe. On a related note, Saul Croaker, the Director of the Department of Mysteries wants to re-ward the place where you keep the grimoire to prevent someone like Anderson from stealing pages from the grimoire again. I want to ask you something, is Peter Anderson related to you through the Slytherin line? That's the only reason I can think of that he was able to get into the grimoire. If so, we can drop the charge of theft of family magic protected items.

Let me know and please send Saul an owl with your response to his request to let him re-ward the grimoire.

Hoping you are well,

Amelia Susan Bones

Head of the Most Noble and Ancient House of Bones

Countess of Brockmore

Director of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement

Archie grabbed two pieces of parchment and started to write his response to Amelia.

Re: Investigation into the burglary of the Great Mansion

Director Bones,

I'm not sure if Anderson is related to me via the Slytherin line I'd have to check the family tree. As for re-warding the grimoire, I'll send an owl to Saul when I get a chance. As for the trial only being done with six people instead of the full Wizengamot, I think it's a clever idea for all minor criminal trials. We should save trials in front of the full Wizengamot for more serious crimes like death eaters, murderers etc.

Hoping you are well,

Archie sent the letter with Xerxes and then took out another piece of parchment to write a letter to Saul Croaker to give him permission to re-ward the grimoire case.

Re: Re-warding the grimoire case at the Great Mansion to prevent further attempts of burglary.

Director Croaker,

I got a letter from Director Bones, and she mentioned that you wished to come to the Great Mansion to re-ward the grimoire case to prevent anyone else from attempting to steal pages from the grimoire or steal the grimoire itself. I have no problem with you doing that in fact, I think that's a great idea I'm currently looking through several family magic books to see if I can put some blood wards on the grimoire in addition to whatever wards you put on the case.

Please pick a date over the Yule holidays or over the summer and I'll key you into the Great Mansion wards so that you won't get bounced out of the vicinity of the wards. The wards of the Great Mansion are some of the oldest and most powerful wards in Avalon and I would hate to see the Ministry of Magic's foremost ward expert and expert in all things secret to get hurt by my wards. If you wouldn't mind, I'd also like you to check my wards to make sure everything is up to date and recommend any changes if needed.

Hoping you are well,

Archie sent the letter with his phoenix Archimedes and went back to the Chamber of Secrets to do some training.

A/N: My longest chapter yet! I hope you all enjoyed it. Not sure when chapter 10 will be posted or when the story will end. I might make this story and subsequent stories in the Duke of Gryffinsmore series longer.
