~Here's your Wednesday Weekly Chapter Enjoy~

~1 week later~

"Got everything you need Sakura-chan" Kizashi asked on the morning of Sakura's first day in the academy, they'd gone out and bought anything that would help her during her time in class and outside it, which included weapons that both he and Mebuki were apprehensive about.

Sakura looked up at him with a wide smile "Yes, Dad and I promise I'll be good for my sensei and if we're taught how to handle weapons, I'll use extreme care" the little pinkette promised with expressive green eyes, having seen the worried looks apparently when she'd been given the weapons.

Despite their worry Kizashi and Mebuki shared amused smiles "And try to make a friend sweetie, it's all well and fine if you like to read, we'll spoil you with as many books as you want, but a friend will broaden your horizons" Mebuki informed gently.

Not making fun of the rosette for her obsession with reading "I'll try Mom" Sakura assured, hoping that at least one of the kids that were to be her classmates would be her friend and then she was being led to the academy, where a sensei showed her to her classroom.

Upon entering the room as if now realizing that she'd be separated from her adoptive parents during the days and that she was pretty much alone Sakura panicked and made a dash to the back of the classroom, setting up in the farthest row of seats that she could.

And from there she was able to watch as her classmates entered one by one, it looked like she had about 26 classmates, totaling 27 in all "Hi" a soft voice drew Sakura's gaze onto a blue eyed blonde and she wondered how she'd missed the girl coming up to her in the first place.

"Hello..." the blonde tried again when all the pinkette did was stare at her "Okay guess I'll introduce myself first, I am Ino Yamanaka, and you are" Ino as she'd just declared pointed at herself before gesturing to the rosette in hopes the other girl would remember herself.

For a minute Ino was certain that the girl in front of her was going to remain silent until "Sakura Haruno...sorry, you startled me is all" Sakura admitted quietly, clearly having no idea what to do in the face of another child her age, but at least she knew what the girl's name was now.

"Great, now that we're friends, I'm sitting with you is that okay" Ino announced, just bulldozing her way forward as Sakura blinked at her before nodding silently again "So how is it that I startled you" Ino asked when it was clear it would be a while before their sensei showed up to start class.

Just a little surprised when the pinkette yelped in surprise, having opened a book during the time Ino had taken to settle herself in her chosen seat "Cause I didn't see you coming up here" Sakura answered, cheeks bright red as all the other kids stared at her from their seats.

Ino could believe it however "Well that just means you need to learn how to sense things better, it's standard you know especially for kids from clans, say what clan are you from anyway" Ino questioned, apparently a never-ending chatterbox to the taciturn and introverted pinkette.

"My parents are civilians, I got special permission from Hokage-sama to attend two years earlier than normal civilian children, because I'm from some clan called the Uzumaki clan" Sakura explained, not bragging or anything just simply stating the truth and it made Ino even more curious about her classmate.

"Really like for real, you're an Uzumaki, maybe you should befriend Naruto, he's an Uzumaki to, his mom as well" Ino exclaimed, pointing to a blonde boy in their class with baby blue eyes, who noticed the gesturing and stood to hurry over at Ino's beckoning.

Once near enough Sakura stared in horror when the boy opened his mouth and started talking "Hi I'm Naruto Uzumaki, your Sakura Uzumaki aren't you, my mom said that I should be friends with you and bring you over you know" came rushing out like a torrent.

Clearly nervous "Um uh...I guess we can be friends, but my last name is Haruno" Sakura blinked slowly, figuring it would be okay if they were friends, but she really hoped he wasn't chatty like that all the time, she liked her peace and quiet after all.

"Hold on how is your last name Haruno if you're from the Uzumaki clan...oh wait you said that your parents were civilians, that means your adopted and that's what their last name is" Ino snapped her fingers as she realized why her new friend had a different last name than Naruto.

It was because Sakura was adopted by civilians with the last name Haruno "Adopted Sakura-chan, but what about your real mom and dad" Naruto asked in a horrified tone as he joined the girls in the row they were seated in and pulled out his books.

"Dunno, I can't remember anything beyond a few months ago, everything else is gone, like the rest of my memories simply don't exist" Sakura shrugged lightly, not that she was to upset about not remembering anything, Mebuki and Kizashi were the best adoptive parents she could ever ask for.

Just then their sensei entered the room "Good morning my name is Iruka Umino and from now until you graduate, I'll be your homeroom sensei, I'll also be teaching you history and all the necessary bits about taijutsu, shurikenjutsu and the like, for now introduce yourselves and tell your classmates a little bit about yourselves" Iruka suggests.

Seemingly calm but on the inside, he was a nervous wreck that he wasn't cut out to be an academy sensei and there were so many children even as one by one they introduced themselves until he got to the last student "Sakura Haruno and I love to read" Sakura announced.

It wasn't much to be honest but there was little she knew about herself as well "Oh come on, everyone said way more than that, you can't just say you like to read and nothing else" a boy from another row called, feeling it was unfair that the pinkette hadn't told them anything else.

And she remembered him as the boy who called her mean names in the orphanage "Ignore him Sakura-chan, I like to read to, mostly fuinjutsu books though" Naruto whispered, when Sakura huffed but as per his suggestion turns her head and ignores their classmate to Ino's amusement.

"Whoa you're going to be a real studious type aren't you Sakura" Ino remarked when Iruka began the first lesson of the day, and she caught the pinkette out of the corner of her eye writing down lots of notes in a notebook to refer back to later whenever they were given tests.

Jade orbs focused on her briefly and Ino realized after a moment that the girl was waiting to be made fun of "Not that it's a bad thing, being smart could save your life, just make sure you don't neglect training your physical energies as well" Ino said.

Naruto on her other side nodding in agreement "Okay I promise not to Ino-chan, Naruto-kun" Sakura promised, already feeling incredibly close to the two blondes despite it being only an hour that she'd known them, and she wanted to do everything she could to avoid disappointing her first friends.

As the three six-year-olds focused their attention on class which soon came to an end, and they were dismissed to their next lesson before it was finally lunch time, where Ino was approached by a group of other girls "Come on Ino, we're going up to the roof" the purple haired six-year-old informed.

Reaching out and grabbing Ino's arm while Sakura had her back turned, rifling around in her pack for her bento "Hold it Ami, geez there's no rush" Ino said not moving an inch despite how hard Ami had tried to drag her forward "Your welcome to join us Sakura, Naruto" the blonde offered.

Figuring that if she was going to be friends with Sakura that it meant she was probably stuck with Naruto for the rest of their lives as well so invited him up to the roof for lunch with them "You're seriously inviting that forehead freak and idiot" Ami sneered, clearly jealous over Sakura's instant closeness with her friend as she'd watched all morning how the two had clicked with one another.

Sakura visibly recoiled at the insult and sat back down while Naruto tried to cheer her up because he'd also gotten called an awful name "Then I won't be joining you Ami, if you can't accept me making new friends, then I don't see how we can be friends anymore" Ino declared, sitting back down in her seat.

Not tolerating her oldest friend insulting her newest friends "Really you're choosing that freak over your best friend, fine be that way but when she proves to be annoying don't think you can come crawling back to me" Ami stamped her foot when Ino didn't relent before storming off, Fuki and Kasumi on her heels.

"Come on Sakura-chan, don't listen to that bully, even though your forehead is kind of big, it's not that big" Naruto consoled, just knowing that the pinkette was crying, despite not seeing any actual tears, she was being too quiet on them until Ino got an idea.

"He's right you know Sakura, Ami is just a bully, and while it is big, you're still pretty and tomorrow I'm going to bring you something that will help" Ino announced, successfully cheering the rosette up as she blushed softly at the compliment.

Before "You think I'm pretty...well your pretty to Ino-chan" Sakura said quietly, still hurt from being called names, but feeling slightly better as she realized Ino really was still there with her, even though it was clear Ino had other friends.

"Duh" Ino rolled her eyes as if that was obvious and flipped her hair, prompting laughter from Sakura and Naruto as they spent all their lunch talking to one another, making sure to eat their lunch and proving how studious she was, Sakura did all of the homework they'd been assigned so far.

Until it was the last lesson of the day taijutsu and shurikenjutsu "Not bad, but if you hold the shuriken like so, it'll be easier to throw" Ino explained when she noticed Sakura struggling and decided to help the rosette, right as their sensei appeared to do just that and the pinkette managed to hit the target.

"Good job Sakura-chan and thank you Ino-chan for helping your classmate" Iruka praised, giving the girls their due which earned him beaming smiles from the six-year-olds, before they moved on to practice spars where Naruto took over and helped Sakura when it was clear she had no idea what to do, earning some praise himself.

And then it was finally time to go home for the day "See you tomorrow, Sakura, Naruto" Ino waved, speeding off towards her parents when she saw them in the crowd of other adults there to pick up their children from the academy, while Naruto stuck like glue to Sakura.

Following her through the crowd before their parents spotted the unknowing cousins and approached "You must be Sakura-chan, I'm Kushina Uzumaki...and I heard you were capable of using the chakra chains" Kushina greeted, trailing off when familiar green eyes focused on her.

Before she shook her head and focused because that was a long time ago and not possible as she got into her reasoning for approaching the little six-year-old "Yes that's right, you must have heard from Hokage-sama, pardon I'm her mother Mebuki Haruno" Mebuki greeted.

Holding out her hand for the other woman who faltered for a second then took the hand offered to her "Exactly and since I can also use the chakra chains, I thought you know that I could teach Sakura how to use them efficiently and maybe teach her fuinjutsu along my own son Naruto-kun" Kushina confessed.

Picking up her child and settling him on her hip "Hmm it might be a great opportunity Mebuki for Sakura-chan to learn her heritage, those chakra chains pretty much confirmed what clan she was descendant from, so what's the harm" Kizashi mused aloud, thinking about the pro's.

"True, but fuinjutsu is also an extremely dangerous subject and I'm barely tolerating Sakura handling weapons at this age let alone having weapons that she can use at all times" Mebuki glared at her husband, only thinking about the con's unfortunately to Kizashi frustration.

Until a little hand reached up and tugged on her mother's qipao and she stared down into near matching green eyes "Please Mom, I promise to listen to Mrs. Uzumaki and will only use fuinjutsu or the chakra chains when she says I can, and I really want to stay friends with Naruto-kun" Sakura pleaded quietly.

And they caved just like that to Minato's amusement "Alright then, tomorrow Sakura will come over and have her first lesson and afterwards I'll walk her back home, we won't make her learn every day, because children need time to be children after all" Minato clapped.

Glad that things had gone his wife's way or hell would have probably been on their hands, Sakura was the first Uzumaki child they'd seen besides their own son in years and if Sakura weren't already adopted, he knew that Kushina would have adopted the girl immediately.

"Very well, tomorrow for now are you ready to go home Sakura-chan and tell us all about your first day" Kizashi asked, scooping his daughter up into his arms and the Namikaze/Uzumaki family watched them go before heading for home themselves.

When the Haruno family arrived home Mebuki moved to get started on dinner as Kizashi placed Sakura down in a chair at the table "So, tell us all about your first day Sakura-chan, while your mother gets dinner started" Kizashi requested, hoping his adopted daughter had, had a good day and that she'd made a friend, turns out they didn't have to worry.

Especially when Sakura began ranting about her friends Ino and Naruto, though partway through her explanation she did pause "Though Ino-chan's friend Ami called me a forehead freak even Naruto got called a mean name, but Ino-chan defended me, she and Naruto even helped me during class today" Sakura finished.

Deciding to be honest about how she was bullied on her first day Kizashi and Mebuki listening with rapt attention "Well I'm sorry you're getting bullied sweetie, just remember should anything happen tell your teacher, he sounds like a good fellow and of course you'll have to introduce us to Ino-chan sometime" Mebuki sighed.

Not wishing such hardship on her child but it looked like Sakura had made a pretty solid friends right off the bat so she knew everything would work out in the end "Okay Mom, I'll ask her tomorrow, she said she was going to bring me something to help, though I have no idea what she meant by that" Sakura frowned to their amusement.

"Who knows Sakura-chan, I'm sure whatever it is, it'll be a nice gesture on Ino-chan's part, now do you have homework that needs done and do you need help" Kizashi smiled, but when Sakura pulled out her homework, he found it all done.

She really was quite the six-year-old it seemed as he looked over her work and found it all correct, ten minutes later supper was ready and afterwards Sakura went to her room to read "Do you think we should contact the principle and make him aware of the potential bullying problem that might go on" Mebuki asked.

Just wanting to protect her daughter, it didn't matter that Sakura wasn't of her womb or that it had only been a few months, she loved that girl "Let's take a wait and see stance for now, it doesn't look like Ino-chan will let anyone bully Sakura-chan, not even her own friends" Kizashi said.

Later on, after a bath, they tucked Sakura in and bade her goodnight "Night Mom, night Dad" Sakura murmured sleepily, drifting off a minute later, her door was shut quietly to avoid disturbing her rest and soon the whole Haruno household was fast asleep.

The next morning Sakura could hardly contain her excitement because not only would she be seeing her friends again, she'd get to introduce Ino to her parents and then later on go over to Naruto's and learn fuinjutsu and how to control her chakra chains with Kushina.

Upon arriving at the academy Sakura immediately spotted her other blonde-haired friend "INO-CHAN" Sakura yelled running towards the girl but quickly slowed down when she saw that Ino was stood with Ami, who stormed off after Ino said something to her.

"Hey Sakura, Naruto's not here yet by the way...oh are these your parents, hi Mr. and Mrs. Haruno, I'm Ino Yamanaka, do you think that Sakura could come over to my house and play today" Ino bowed when she saw a couple appear behind her new friend.

A little upset that Ami wouldn't give the girl a chance "Yes, we are, I'm Mebuki, and it's very nice to meet you Ino-chan and while we'd like to say yes to Sakura-chan visiting your house, she has prior plans today with Naruto-kun, perhaps tomorrow she may go over if that's alright" Mebuki smiled.

Pleased that the girl was just like Sakura had said, "Oh...well nothing for it I suppose if you've already got plans, tomorrow it is then Sakura, now come on I'm sure that knucklehead is already waiting for us in the classroom" Ino shrugged, she wasn't Sakura's only friend after all.

"Right well nice meeting you Ino-chan, I'm Kizashi and you're more than welcome to come over any time as well" Kizashi waved as the two kunoichi-in-training sped off and got a wave back before they disappeared inside and all the way to their classroom.

Where Ino had guessed, Naruto was already seated in their row "Morning Ino-chan, Sakura-chan" Naruto grinned, feeling excited for what that day would bring, finally he wouldn't be alone during the boring calligraphy lessons his mum liked to give him.

"Oh, nearly forgot, turn around Sakura and morning to you Naruto" Ino jolted just as they reached their seats and remembered the gift, she'd brought for the pinkette, confused the girl did as requested and after a moment felt Ino fiddling with her hair.

Before pulling out a compact mirror "Wow it's so pretty Ino-chan and yes good morning Naruto-kun" Sakura gushed over the red ribbon that tied back her bangs adoringly, even if her forehead was now on display, it was the least of her worries as she sat in the nick of time as Iruka arrived to start class.

Sakura did her best throughout the day, taking notes and enjoying the time spent with Naruto and Ino until they were dismissed after their final class of the day "Come on Sakura-chan" Naruto held out his hand for the pinkette who was attempting to get her last bit of homework done before she left apparently.

He was just about to get impatient when she finally put her books away a few minutes after they'd been let go "Sorry, I just really want to focus on the lesson Mrs. Uzumaki gives us" Sakura apologized, seeing that Ino had already left as Naruto grabbed her hand and towed her along behind him to escape the academy building.

Where his mom and dad were waiting patiently outside the academy gates "Goodness what took so long, you didn't cause trouble did you Naruto-kun" Kushina put her hands on her hips and took on a slightly scolding tone, ready to unleash her fiery temper upon her child if he had caused trouble.

Thankfully that wasn't it as Sakura explained that she'd taken a few extra minutes to finish the rest of her homework before they'd left "Going to be quite the smart one aren't you Sakura-chan" Minato chuckled as the four of them walked in the direction of home.

"I love reading so the homework isn't too difficult" Sakura nodded, taking his remark as a compliment thankfully, he wasn't sure what he'd do if he made the little girl cry, Kushina would probably neuter him as they reached the house and filed in.

Unfortunately to Naruto's frustration since he still had homework to do, he was sent to the living room to finish up while Sakura was taken outside "Now Sakura-chan, think about what you normally do when you use the chakra chains" Kushina instructed.

About to be surprised when four pale yellow chains sprouted from Sakura's back a second later "It's easy, I think about how much I love my mom and dad and how I want to help them more for adopting me" Sakura confessed when all the woman did was stare at her.

Kushina bit back the urge to cry at that heartbreaking statement, "Right, how lovely and sweet of you Sakura-chan, next concentrate on using the chains as an extension of yourself and attack that dummy over there okay" Kushina requested, managing if only just to reign in her emotions.

But got shocked again when even that task proved easy for Sakura to accomplish, what was really happening though was that while Sakura didn't remember, her body did from her two years of training back in Suna, making it seem like everything was coming naturally to the pinkette, even if that wasn't the case.

Not that Kushina realized what was going on as she clapped and praised the rosette for being a natural "I'm done with my homework" Naruto called from the kitchen half an hour later, when Kushina had Sakura keep practicing with the chakra chains despite how proficient she seemed to be with them.

Extra practice never hurt anyone after all "Okay, okay, guess it's time for fuinjutsu lessons, however before that, we need to work on your calligraphy, doesn't that sound fun Sakura-chan" Kushina grinned leading the girl back inside where her son was already seated at the table.

Papers and ink separated evenly for both children courtesy of Minato who began making dinner for his family "Hey no fair, how are you already so good Sakura-chan" Naruto exclaimed ten minutes later when he looked over at Sakura and saw that she was doing better than him who'd been practicing for a year.

"Dunno, it's like my hand is moving on it's own, like I've done this before, but I can't remember" Sakura shrugged, beginning to shrink in on herself when the adults stared at her, before they quickly assured her that there was nothing wrong and to just practice.

Until they moved on to actually drawing seals "This is the enclosing seal, replicate it until you can write it in your sleep only then will we switch to a different seal" Kushina informed, planning to keep the children away from the more dangerous seals until they were older.

Eventually though with supper done and waiting to be eaten Kushina figured it was time to return Sakura to her parents "Let's go Sakura-chan, just tell me where you live and I'll take you there" Minato requested, carefully lifting the tiny child.

Who was smaller than his own son and settling her on his hip, Sakura quickly told him her address and in a poof of smoke they were across the village and stood in front of her house "Whoa...um Mr. Namikaze I don't feel so good" Sakura exclaimed.

Before turning pale and he hurriedly set her down and rubbed her back "That happens sorry I forgot to warn you Sakura-chan, are you okay now" Minato apologized, realizing he hadn't even given her warning, just body flickered, he was lucky she hadn't puked on him.

As she nodded after a minute, then with a wave Sakura headed inside leaving him to return home as the pinkette ranted about her time over at Naruto to her parents "Minato, we need to have a talk" Kushina said later on that night when they were laid in bed, their son fast asleep in his room.

"Yes, I noticed, Sakura is doing things far too quickly and while some would say she's a natural, it's less that and more like she's already gone through that particular training" Minato thankfully was on the same wavelength as his wife after he'd observed the three lessons.

Kushina nodded "But it doesn't look like poor Sakura-chan even knows why or remembers, perhaps someone should take a look in her head and see if her memories can't be recovered" Kushina hummed, feeling somewhat better that her husband had noticed what she had as they finally drifted off for the night.

The next morning Sakura was eager to attend the academy and then go over to Ino's "Just have fun Sakura-chan" Mebuki smiled, glad that she wouldn't have to worry too much about her daughter if she already had such wonderful friends like Naruto and Ino.

"I will mom" Sakura promised with a smile as she took the bento and then grabbed Kizashi's hand as he walked her across the village to school "Good morning Ino, Naruto" the pinkette greeted upon arrival, missing the glare Ami shot at her as Ino stood and allowed her to sit in the middle of them like usual.

Despite only be the third day it was just natural to have Sakura sit between the two of them for some reason "Are you coming over for fuinjutsu lessons again today Sakura-chan and also morning Ino" Naruto asked, hoping she said yes because he'd had a lot of fun yesterday.

Somehow having another person participate didn't make it near as boring anymore "Ino-chan's today, sorry Naruto-kun but permission was already given yesterday for it" Sakura informed, bursting with excitement while Naruto kind of sulked at the news.

"Cheer up knucklehead, besides you don't want Sakura to burn herself out on that and not want to come over to learn anymore do you" Ino quirked a brow at the slightly younger blonde, though all of them were six, Sakura was the oldest between the three of them.

Naruto shook his head and that was that as the three shinobi in training turned their gazes forward as Iruka arrived to start class "Today we'll be learning about the shinobi principles, so open your textbooks to pages 89-90" Iruka announced, beginning the lesson.

Glad that some of his students were eager to learn i.e. Sakura Haruno as like usual he caught her scribbling down notes throughout the lesson before they moved on to the other sensei and finally back to him for taijutsu and shurikenjutsu at the end of the day.

"Ugh, well see you tomorrow Ino, Sakura" Naruto trudged off looking exhausted, they watched him go for a few minutes with amused smiles before Ino grabbed Sakura's hand and began leading the way to her family's shop/house where she lived.

Jade eyes went wide "You live in a flower shop Ino-chan, that's so cool" Sakura gushed, not trying to suck up to her friend or anything, she genuinely thought it was cool because she really liked flowers to, she loved to read books about all the different types of flowers whenever she could.

"I'm glad you think so Sakura, now come on my mom and dad want to meet you" Ino smiled, pulling open the door so that they could go in, imagine her surprise when she found out that Sakura already knew her dad and after introducing herself to Aiko, her mother.

Both girls disappeared upstairs to Ino's room "Can't believe you didn't tell me you already met my dad" Ino sulked, and Sakura apologized sheepishly before explaining that she'd never made the connection until now, so she hadn't known the man that had visited her house over a week ago had been her dad.

"Say Ino-chan, isn't this a bush clover, it's not doing so good" Sakura asked after they'd gotten through the awkward moment, and she'd set her eyes on the flowerpot in her friend's room, only to notice that something was wrong with the flower.

Confused Ino walked over and checked it over herself "Hmm your right, there's something off" Ino frowned, realizing that Sakura was right, maybe it was a lost cause, and she should just get a new one, there was just one thing however "How did you know it was a bush clover though" she had to ask.

"Oh...I like to read books on flowers and saw that in one of the books I read recently, bush clovers symbolize an optimistic love that treasures bonds" Sakura answered without even thinking about it, impressing Ino somewhat as she walked over and carefully touched her hand to the flowering bush.

What happened next neither of them counted on, when in a flash of light, the bush began to perk up and look healthier, just as the door to Ino's bedroom flew open "Fu how many times have I told you to stop barging into my room like that" Ino screeched, having the wits scared out of her.

Poor Sakura however had bolted to hide underneath her bed "Did you forget you were meant to be helping with the shop today Ino...oh I didn't realize that you had a friend over" Fu as Ino had called him reminded, wondering what his cousin was doing.

Until she'd coaxed a pink haired child out from underneath her bed, who looked positively terrified "No I didn't forget Fu, my time was changed to later because I asked permission and yes, this is Sakura Haruno" Ino rolled her eyes, forcing herself to forget about what just happened and focus on calming her friend down.

Guess Sakura didn't really do well with being startled, something she already knew from their first day as academy students "I'm sorry" Sakura apologized, feeling stupid, but Ino shook her head and told her she had nothing to apologize for because she hadn't done anything wrong.

Thankfully that did the trick "Anyway since your here Fu, you might as well stay until it's time for Sakura to go home" Ino declared, planning to tell her parents about the incident later, Fu rolled his eyes lightly but figured it was the least he could do for scaring the wits out of his cousin and her friend.

Later when they were playing dress up with Ino's clothes, his cousin decided to pull a fast one on him "Tell me Fu, this looks really cute on Sakura doesn't it" Ino asked innocently, coming up with a brilliant plan to eventually have Sakura become part of her family by marrying Fu.

First, she had to make them fall in love, so it was better to get a foundation started at a young age, Fu inwardly sighed wondering what game Ino thought she was playing before focusing his aurulent gaze on Sakura who fidgeted beneath his stare for several seconds.

"Yes, you look very cute Sakura-san" the nine-year-old relented to his cousin's stare and poor Sakura turned beet red in response and Ino gave herself an inward pat on the back as her friend thanked Fu for the compliment then proceeded to remain quiet the rest of the time, she was over.

Before she had her dad walk Sakura home when it was time for her to go, later after helping out in the shop Ino finally figured out a way to bring up the subject of what had happened in her room "Dad there's something I have to tell you" Ino said.

Inoichi quirked an eyebrow on his daughter in response "Okay, did you not like having Sakura-chan over" he asked, thinking that was the problem but Ino shook her head, then vanished upstairs for a minute only to come back down with the bush clover he'd gifted her.

"Do you see how perky it is...Sakura did that, before Fu tried to scare us half to death, she'd noticed that there was something wrong with it and while I was contemplating about whether or not I should just get a new one, Sakura touched it, there was a flash of light and wham, it was healthy again" Ino explained.

Probably sounding crazy but it was the truth "Are you sure Ino-chan" Aiko frowned, finding that hard to believe, but Ino nodded seriously, clearly certain of what she'd seen and sticking to it, unfortunately there was nothing they could do for now since Sakura wasn't there.

Later, back with Sakura, after telling her mom and dad all about her day and time spent over at Ino's, Kizashi and Mebuki tucked their daughter in underneath her blankets and told her goodnight as she yawned and finally drifted off to sleep for the night.
