The dogs are chasing them. The things that killed a lot of her friends. Jill tried to get a weapon to fight them off, but the dogs found her first. She watched as Jill tried to plan something. The woman turns on all the kitchen ovens for some reason and then lights a match, but nothing happens. She hears Jill swear under her breath and tries to push her through the doors to get further away from the dogs that are quickly gaining on them.
Slamming through the doors Angie expected to see the rows of dead bodies lining the ground. The aftermath of the killer dogs rampage through the school. Not even that Umbrella soldier man could stop the dogs and he had a machine gun. So how could they now.
Only it's not a line of corpses that greet her when the doors open. But another woman with a darker shade of blonde hair then herself. "Alice." She hears Jill call out in both relief and panic.
Alice's eyes locked on to them for less then a second before latching onto something behind them. The dogs probably. Then faster then she thought was possible Alice was moving forward ripping something off the wall before grabbing her and Jill and covering them in that something pulling them close to her. A second later a loud explosion happens behind her. The force of it makes her stumble slightly as Alice and Jill trip forward a little.
She sees a blaze brush past them but avoids them. Angela hears the way Alice chuckles as she steps away from her but keeps a steady hand on Jill's waist keeping her upright. "Miss me, Valentine." Alice jokes leaning closer to Jill who lets a relieved laugh falling slightly back into Alice's body nudging their heads together.
It's cute. She's seen couples do that on TV
"Like you wouldn't believe Abernathy." Jill lightly jokes back closing her eyes and letting Alice wrap an arm around her stomach giving her a sideways hug. "I thought you were dead," Jill admits quietly.
"And let you live in an Alice free world. Not a chance." Jill snorts at Alice's response as the two women pull away from each other but remain in touching distance. Wait... Are they flirting... that's what adults in relationships do. Are Alice and Jill together. That would be cute.
Alice's eyes turn to her the smile on her face dropping slightly as she takes Angela in.
Something in her tingles under Alice's gaze. A calling in her own head and body at the woman's presence. Their established eye contact seems unbreakable until Jill interrupts. "Do you two know each other of something." She asks with narrowed eyes towards them.
"She's infected," Alice says breaking their locked stare to focus back on Jill. "She's infected on a massive scale."
Jill's head jumps from her to Alice. There's an edge to her voice. The same uneasy tone she used when talking to the Umbrella man. "How do you know that."
"Because she's infected too," Angie admits as Alice moves closer to her crouching down, so they are at eye level.
Behind her, Jill takes a step back confusion and hurt on her face. "Your infected. When were you going to tell me that."
Alice shrugs. "Got a little distracted drawing Nemesis away from you." Alice resorts without any malice or annoyance in her voice at Jill's accusation. Her tone turns softer when talking to her. "Let me see." For a moment Angie wants to say no. To hide the evidence of what her father has accidentally done. He never meant for this. "You know I'm not going to hurt you," Alice adds on to reassure her. "And Jill is the best person I know. No one is going to hurt you."
Debating with herself Angie agrees that neither Jill nor Alice will harm her. Her father sent them to get her, and he wouldn't do that if he didn't trust them. So shouldn't she trust them too. Besides they protected her from the dogs and Alice is infected as well.
Offering her arm Alice carefully rolls back her sleeve to uncover the marks on her arm left from the injections. "It doesn't hurt." Angie tries to tell them not wanting them to think her daddy is hurting her or anything like that. He's helping her. Saving her.
Alice and Jill exchange a look that says a thousand words. Only Angie doesn't understand what they are saying to each other. Alice turns back to her and offers her own arm for Angie to look at. She gasps seeing the same indication on the older blonde's skin.
She was injected too. Was her daddy helping Alice. Or was it the people who took the Injections away from them. "How did you get these," Jill asks kneeling down next to Alice. The question was directed at her, but Jill gently stroked the marks on Alice's arms. The simple touch made Alice inhale sharply.
"My Daddy." Angie starts revealing her Spiderman lunch box. "Daddy was sick and when I was born, I was sick too. I couldn't walk without crutches, and I was only going to get worse." The hidden compartment opens revealing the green and blue vials. Jill doesn't react much, but Alice's eyes widen at the vials. "But Daddy made this for me. It helped me. But then the bad men came and took the invention from him." She pleads with the two women to understand. "He didn't mean for any of this to happen. He's not a bad man. Honest."
"We know," Alice assures her. "This isn't his fault."
Jill examines the box cocking her head towards Alice. "Is that the T-Virus." She asks.
Alice points to the blue vials. "The T-Virus." The thing that is killing everyone. Then she points to the green ones. "And the anti-virus."
"There's a cure." Jill gasps out.
Alice's smile is muted. "Only if it's used within the first few hours." There is a sadness in her voice. Angie watches as Jill and Alice stare at each other again. Having a private conversation with their eyes.
Only for Alice to suddenly snap up and whip out her gun pointing it at the door and stepping in front of Jill to protect her from any incoming danger and pulling her to stand with Jill behind her. A second later the door slams open and another man in Umbrella gear appears gun raised and pointed at Alice who is shielding them with her body.
Jill rises to her feet her pistol pointed at the man as well. But he doesn't look towards her. Alice and the man are having a Mexican standoff with each other. Neither backing down to the other. Jill tucks her body into her own body protecting her from any harm just like she and Alice promised to do.
A red light hovers over Alice's chest where she learned the heart was in biology recently. "I wouldn't point that at me unless you plan on using it." The man says dangerously towards Alice making Angie back further into Jill who in return glares at the man with such ferocity she wonders how the man isn't burning under the heat.
It's sweet seeing how protective Alice and Jill are towards each other.
Another man burst through the door forcing Jill to look away from the black uniformed soldier. However, neither the first man nor Alice turns away. They stay hooked on each other. "Don't shoot." The second man in the brown jacket shouts. "He's cool. He made a deal with Doctor Doom same as you." He explains.
Jill lowers her gun. "Jesus LJ. Give us a warning next time."
The man in question shrugs apologetically. Jill then places a comforting hand on Alice's shoulder. "It's ok he's with us." In unison, both Alice and the man drop their guns. "How many of you guys are there," Jill asks as her hand slides down Alice's arm soothing her a little more.
The man looks confused until Jill points out the man who saved them from the first dog before getting ripped apart himself. She's getting tired of looking at dead bodies. She wants to see her Daddy.
The man called Carlos begins to cough. It's only then she realises how pale he looks. Alice seems to pick up on why that is as well. "When you were bitten."
"Two hours ago," Hh replies after spitting out some blood... Gross.
Alice smirks and looks towards her silently asking permission. Angie smiles towards her lifting up her secured lunch box. Alice lifts her shotgun almost throwing it up before instantly catching it and leaning it against her opposite shoulder. She takes a few steps towards Carlos. "Well then, I guess it's your lucky day."
Alice then moves past him and out the door leaving behind a very confused looking Carlos and an annoyed looking other man. Jill chuckles to herself taking her hand and following after Alice. The second man is complaining to Carlos only making the situation more amusing for Jill.
Catching up to Alice she looks between Alice and Jill and asks. "So are you two like girlfriends."
Jill stutters taking off guard almost tripping while Alice's head snaps towards with speed. Jill raises her spare hand waving it back and forth. "No."
Really. Angie squints between them. They act like a couple. Tilting her head she looks at Alice. "Do you want her to be."
"I... uh." Alice sends Jill a panicked look.
"Because you're cute together. You know." She quickly adds on thinking it would help them if they knew that fact.
Alice and Jill look at each other. "No, we're just uhhh." Jill trails off not sure what to say.
"We uhh only just met tonight." Alice supplies surprising Angie. They've only just met and move and looked at each other like that. Wow. This is like one of her films. The star couple meet in horrible circumstances and join together to save the day. They always get together at the end. And she gets to see it happen. In real life. Awesome. She always wanted to be a part of one of those films.
Jill smirks towards Alice. "Would have been one hell of a first date though."
Alice snickers. "Yeah, you have no idea." The conversation ends as they head outside, and the phone starts ringing. Alice moves to answer it while she stays with Jill.
She knows Jill and Alice will be perfect together. They already are. She is going to make it her own mission to help them get together and get their happy ever after. Because that always happens in the films. The heroes prevail and get to be happy together.
Alice and Jill are the heroes here. And she will make sure they get together and be happy together.
