On a hot summer day on Ember Island, just six days before Sozin's Comet could arrive... Avatar Aang and Prince Zuko had practiced Firebending drills in the courtyard of Ozai's abandoned home. As this was happening...

Katara, Toph and Ty Lee had sat in the shade and watched both Zuko and Aang had performed Firebending techniques for a total of thirty minutes in the courtyard in front of a fountain that stopped producing water years ago. Katara and Toph dressed in their original Fire Nation disguises. And as for Ty Lee... well, she had worn a dress similar to the dress she had worn at Chit Sang's party. But, she had also added a few accessories. She had worn two small ribbons on each of her upper arms. Her hair was braided, once more to look like a scorpion.

Toph couldn't see anything with her pair of camouflage eyes.

Katara couldn't help but wonder if anyone was going to locate the Ozai's abandoned house on Ember Island, while Aang and Zuko had performed Fire Nation drills.

Ty Lee sat on her butt and rested her hands on her cheeks as her brownish-gray eyes were glued onto Zuko. She seemed infatuated with Zuko's physique as he trained.

Aang and Zuko had saluted to each other. And when they did...

Ty Lee had ran toward Zuko. "That was a great training performance, Zuzu." She smiled as she approached him and handled hims a yellow towel.

Zuko had received a yellow towel from Ty Lee and took it. "Thanks. I'm just doing everything I can to get Aang ready for when he faces my father." Zuko had told Ty Lee.

"And speaking of the Fire Lord... isn't it weird how we're hiding from him inside of his own house?" Katara asked, feeling concerned.

"I told you. My father hasn't come here in years-since our family were "actually" happy." Zuko said, while wiping his sweaty black hair with the yellow towel that Ty Lee had given him. "And that was a long time ago." He said as he sat down by a fountain.

"Well, I'm happy that we came here in the first place. Right, Zuzu?" Ty Lee smiled to Zuko as she sat down next to him.

Zuko smiled at her back.

"Wow. Zuko and Ty Lee have gotten real close with one another, since hooking up the other night." Katara said as she watched Zuko and Ty Lee chat and smile at one another from the shade that she was sitting under.

"Yep. Now, we got three couples here in the group." Toph said, while lying on her back with her arms behind her head.

"Yeah, we definite-" Katara had stopped for a second and thought of something. "Wait, THREE?" She looked at Toph. "What are you talking about? Who's the third couple?"

"Oh, nothing." Toph said and shrugged it off. "You'll learn. Eventually."

"Hey, guys! You're not going to believe this. There's a play about us!" Sokka yelled, catching everyone's attention.

"We were just in town, and we found this poster!" Suki explained as Sokka showed their team a poster with himself, Katara and Aang on it.

"What? How is that possible?" Katara had taken a closer look at the poster and saw her design.

"Listen to this..." Sokka then read the entire poster to his friends. "The boy in the iceberg is a new production from acclaimed playwright, Puan Tin. Who scoured the globe, gathering information on the Avatar. From the icy south pole to the heart of Ba Sing Se. His sources include singing nomads, pirates, prisoners of war, and a surprisingly knowledgeable merchant of cabbage."

"Cabbage?" Katara had asked.

"Brought to you by, the critically acclaimed Ember Island Players." Suki had read.

After listening to Sokka read the entire poster, Zuko groaned in irritation. "Uungh..."

"What's wrong, Zuko?" Ty Lee asked.

"My mother used to take me and Azula to see them. They butchered "Love Amongst the Dragons" every year." Zuko pouted as he sat by an old fountain.

"Ooh, I actually like that play." Ty Lee smiled.

Katara had looked at Sokka. "Sokka. Do you think that it's a good idea that we see a play about ourselves? I mean, what if we get caught?" Katara asked in concern.

"Come on! A day at the theater? This is the kind of wacky performance stuff I need to get my mind off the Comet!" Sokka grinned.

Later That Night...

The group of teens had agreed to see the play-just hours before going to the theaters under disguises. Aang had worn a white pointy hat on his head. Zuko had worn a blackish-red hoodie over his head. Ty Lee had worn her dress and had braided her dark brown hair to make it look more like a scorpion stinger. Tying red ribbons on it.

The group had sat in the nosebleed section of the theater. Sokka, Suki, Zuko and Ty Lee had sat in the front row, while Toph, Katara and Aang had sat in the back row. Aang was happy to sit next to Katara-his crush, since being broken out of that iceberg in the South Pole.

"Why are we sitting in the nosebleed section of the theater? My feet can't see a thing from up here." Toph pouted.

"Don't worry. I'll tell your feet what's happening." Katara told Toph.

Suddenly, the play had begun and the show had started with actors of Katara and Sokka rowing a boat within the South Pole. Katara and Sokka didn't like their actors that portrayed the Southern Water Tribe siblings and the lines they were given.

After watching an actress who played Aang emerge from a fake iceberg on stage...

They had showed the scene when the actors who played Prince Zuko and General Iroh sailing the cold seas of the South Pole.

"Prince Zuko. You must try this cake." Iroh's actor said as he held a plate of cake. There was a single slice missing, though.

Zuko's actor looked through a telescope. "I don't have time to stuff my face! I must capture the Avatar to regain my honor!" He yelled.

"Well, while you do that, maybe I'll catch another slice." Iroh's actor said, the begun eating the cake with his mouth.

"You sicken me." Zuko's actor said.

The real Zuko that stood in the nosebleed section was disappointed. "They make me look totally stiff and humorless." He crossed his arms.

"Actually, I think that actor's pretty spot on." Katara joked.

"How could you say that?" Zuko asked Katara.

"Well, I think it looks cute." Ty Lee giggled.

On the stage. Iroh's actor had approached Zuko's actor. "Let's forget the Avatar and have relaxing massages." Iroh's actor told Zuko's actor.

"How could you say that?" Zuko's actor yelled to Iroh's actor.

Zuko frowned in defeat as he realized what Katara said was true. He suddenly felt a hand placed on his left shoulder. He looked to see Ty Lee there, smiling at him.

During the Halftime Break...

After the audience was given a total of fifteen minutes... Team Avatar had met at the outside balcony of the theater.

"So far, this intermission is the best part of the play." Zuko said.

Sokka, who seemed irritated had came to the group with a bag of jerky in his hands. "Apparently, the playwright thinks I'm an idiot who tells bad jokes about meat all the time." He sat down next to Suki and begun tearing the meat with his teeth by biting.

"Yeah. You tell bad jokes about other topics." Suki said.

"I know!" Sokka yelled.

"At least the Sokka actor kind of looks like you. That woman playing me-I mean, the Avatar doesn't resemble me at all." Aang had groaned and sounded frustrated. "She has more in common with Ty Lee." Aang had looked to Ty Lee who stood by a rail. "No offense."

"None taken." Ty Lee said.

"I don't know. Both you and Ty Lee are much more in touch with your feminine sides than most guys." Toph joked.

Ty Lee giggled.

Aang annoyingly groaned.

"Relax, Aang." Katara said, calming Aang down. "They're not accurate portrayals. It's not like I'm a preachy crybaby who can't resist giving overemotional speeches about hope all the time."

Everyone stared at Katara, momentarily.

"What?" Katara asked as she the stairs.

Aang had sat down and rubbed his head. "Yeah. That's not you at all."

"Look, friends. I know it kind of hurts, but what you are seeing on that stage is the truth." Toph said.

"Yeah." Ty Lee said, catching the attention of her friends. "Toph is right. It's not the end of the world. And besides, I can't wait to see what my actor would look like." Ty Lee smiled.

A Few Minutes Later...

Team Avatar had returned to the nosebleed section where they had sat in the same seats when the play had started. At some point, the play had gotten to the scene where Azula had met Ty Lee in the circus.

"Well, hello Ty Lee." Azula's actress had said as she had approached Ty Lee's actress.

Ty Lee's actress had cartwheeled toward Azula's actress and stretched her arms out. "Hello, Princess Azula!" She said in joy.

Ty Lee, who sat within the nosebleed section had saw what her actress who portrayed her look like. Ty Lee had a look of shock on her face as her eyes widened and her jaw dropped.

"It is so good to see you." Ty Lee's actress said as she hugged Azula's actress.

"Say, Ty Lee. How would you like to go on an adventure with me and hunt down my brother?" Azula's actress asked.

Ty Lee's actress said as she shook her head no. "No thank you. I am happy performing with the circus. It is my calling." She had then walked away from Azula's actress on stage.

Ty Lee, whom was sitting in the nosebleed section had gained a sad look on her face as she had thought of when Azula had recruited her. Her head lowered a bit.

"Fine. If I cannot convince you to join, then I will burn this circus down to the ground-and make you join!" Azula's actress yelled and had pulled some orange streamers from her pockets and had thrown it into the direction where Ty Lee's actress had exited the stage.

Suddenly, their were sound effects of fire playing within the background and black and gray streamers were thrown onto the stage. Symbolizing black smoke.

Ty Lee sat there and did not say a word as she had sadly watched. She sniffled as she had remembered when she performed in front of Azula. The safety net was caught on fire and all the dangerous animals were released during her circus performance.

Suddenly, Ty Lee's actress had ran back onto the stage, seemingly scared and approached Azula's actress. "I have decided to change my and come with you, Princess Azula."

"Haha!" Azula had confidently laughed. "I knew that you would come to your senses. Now, let us find my older brother!" Azula's actress said as she pointed to the opposite direction of the stage.

Team Avatar-excluding Toph had worried and surprised reactions in seeing the scene of when Azula had recruited Ty Lee. Especially, Zuko's. His eyes widened in shock as he saw the performance. He put the pieces together and realized Azula had burned down the circus that Ty Lee had performed in. He then looked to his left to see that Ty Lee was not sitting next to him. He was surprised that she had disappeared without making a sound.

"Hey, where is she?" Sokka asked as Team Avatar had looked and saw that Ty Lee was missing.

"I hope she's okay..." Katara said in concern.

Zuko sighed. "I'll go look for her." Zuko exited his seat and the theaters in order to go check for her.

Five Minutes Later...

Zuko had spent a total of five minutes looking for her throughout the theater. He could not find her, until he had found Ty Lee standing by the rail on the outside balcony. The same place where the group was, earlier. He had walked to her with concern in his voice. Leaving a yard and a half gap.

"Ty Lee, are you alright?" Zuko asked as he stared at Ty Lee's backside.

"I'm fine." Ty Lee said without looking back at Zuko.

Zuko had lowered his head a bit as he tried thinking of what to say. "That scene... was really intense."

"Yeah." Ty Lee said without back at Zuko. She continued to face the water.

Zuko silently sighed. He noticed that Ty Lee won't look at him. He could either guess that she's either hiding her tears or if she just doesn't want to look at him. "Ty Lee, I'm so sorry. I had no idea Azula put you through all that." He said, walking toward her. He had attempted to lay a hand on her shoulder.

"Don't be." Ty Lee said, which stopped Zuko from touching her shoulder.

"You had nothing to do with Azula being... Azula." Ty Lee hesitated for two seconds.

Zuko had continued to stare at Ty Lee's backside. 'Ty Lee.'

"And besides, it's just as Katara said. They're not accurate por-accur... at..." Ty Lee had sniffled, once more and her body had begun to tremble. Her head begun to lower over the rail. Orbs of tears had leaked from her eyes as they fell into the water below.

Zuko saw Ty Lee's body language and realized that she was having a nervous breakdown. He could hear her voice crack and sound upset. He quickly moved his body to Ty Lee's. And when he did, he slowly moved her away from the rail and embraced her in his arms. He placed Ty Lee's right face on his chest.

Ty Lee had let out soft cries, while embraced by Zuko. Tears of grief streamed down her face.

"It's okay. You're safe, now." Zuko had muttered as he embraced Ty Lee.

"It was really scary. I thought..." Ty Lee had sniffled. "I thought that I was going to die." Ty Lee had continued to give out soft cries.

"But, you didn't. You know why?" Zuko asked.

Ty Lee had slowly shook her head no.

"Because, you're a strong individual." Zuko said.

Ty Lee silently gasped after hearing that last compliment. The two had broke the hig, momentarily. She had slowly looked up at Zuko's face. "You... really mean that?"

"I do. And I'm not just talking about your acrobatic skills and Chi Blocking techniques. I'm talking about in there." Zuko had pointed at Ty Lee's heart.

Ty Lee had pointed watched Zuko's finger and saw it pointing at her own chest. "My heart?"

"Mm-hmm." Zuko had nodded.

Ty Lee had sniffled, again. But this time, it was a sniffle out of joy. "Thank you, Zuko. I needed that." She smiled with last tears streaming.

Zuko smiled back.

"Zuko?" Ty Lee had called after the tears on her face stopped running.

"What's wrong, Ty Lee?" Zuko had responded.

"Nothing. I just..." She had begun to look down and twiddle her index fingers. "Not to be rude, but can we stay out here for a while?" Ty Lee asked.

Zuko had gave Ty Lee a warm nod.

Later That Night...

Zuko and Ty Lee had stood by the rail outside on the balcony and stared at the water below. Ty Lee had clutched Zuko's right arm happily rested her head on Zuko's right lower shoulder. They had watched some koi fish dance in the water, before the koi fish swim some place else.

"I'm happy that we get to spend this time, together, Zuko." Ty Lee smiled.

"I'm happy that you're happy." Zuko smiled.

"So, this is where you two love birds were hiding..."

Both Zuko and Ty Lee heard a familiar voice coming from behind. They quickly turned around to see their friends.

"Oh, the play's over?" Zuko asked.

"Yeah. It just wrapped up." Katara said.

"So, um... what did we miss?" Ty Lee asked.

Team Avatar had looked at each other, before glancing at both Zuko and Ty Lee.

"Nothing. Nothing, really. But, the effects were decent, though." Sokka shrugged.

"The play was that bad, huh?" Zuko had assumed.

"Yeah." Aang said.

"No kidding." Katara said.

"Horrible." Suki said.

"You said it." Toph said.
