A/N Wolfblood is a television show that follows the lives of 'wolfbloods', humans who can turn into wolves at will, even during the day. They possess greater strength, speed and endurance, but not at Slayer or vampire level, as well as constantly heightened senses, especially the sense of smell. They're very adamant that they're wolfbloods, not werewolves. Werewolves can only change during the full moon (on the Buffy show that includes the day before and the day after the full moon) or under extreme emotional stress. Wolfbloods can change anytime they want to, except on the night of a full moon, when they have no control or under extreme emotional stress, then they have limited control. And unlike werewolves, they maintain their human intelligence in wolf form. And they actually look like wolves. Individuals have other abilities which will turn up in this story as well.
BMS suggested I make this a Buffy/Willow pairing, which I admit I'd never considered, but Buffy is obviously open to the idea in the comics as she does get involved with another woman named Satsu, from what I've heard and she and Faith had chemistry. Eliza Dushku is on record as stating she deliberately played Faith as bisexual.

Buffy Summers was not a happy camper. In fact, it would not be wrong to describe her current mood as disgruntled, maybe even bordering on moody. For her whole academic life, up until she'd turned fifteen a year ago, she'd been at the pinnacle of the social ladder, Head Cheerleader, dated the Quarterback, the girl everyone wanted to be around because she had the power to decide their social status. And she'd fallen to the bottom of the social ladder at Hemery High School and now here she was starting at a new High School and she knew damn well she'd never be able to climb the ladder again. Much as she really, really wanted to. So yeah, disgruntled, possibly moody was probably the best way to describe her current mood, which wasn't improved by the fact that she didn't have a book for her very first class at Sunnydale High School.
"I'll share mine with you." The girl sitting beside her offered. "Since you're new and obviously don't have a book yet."
"Thanks, I thought I had all the required books already, but the History book I was given isn't the same one the rest of you have and I was very definitely told this was the class I'm supposed to be in. I'm Buffy, Buffy Summers."
"Cordelia Chase. The library has copies, I'm sure you'll find what you need there and if you need help catching up, there's tutors available. I can point some of them out to you, helps to know who the losers are right off the bat anyway."
"Right, the losers." Buffy nodded, thinking, 'I use to be the one who decided that, now I'm one of them and it won't be long before she knows that.'
It didn't surprise Buffy when Cordelia also conducted a coolness quiz as they walked down the hall after class, it's what she would have done with a new girl back at Hemery, after all. Passing it was easy, any other circumstances and Buffy was sure she'd have been a contender for popularity. But these weren't other circumstances.
"There's one of the nerds, Willow Rosenberg, she can tutor you." Cordelia pointed to a girl wearing a very unfortunate dress getting a drink at the water fountain. After introducing them, Cordelia said, "Well, my good deed for the day is done. I'm meeting my boyfriend, see you later, Buffy."
"You too and thank you."
"No problem, stay cool." Buffy knew it was a social warning, she was on probation. She sighed, all too soon, even that nebulous bit of popularity would be gone. She'd long since accepted the horrible truth. She was a freak.
"So what can I help you with?" Willow asked, calling Buffy's attention hack to her.
"I'm brand new and already I've run into a problem, I was given the wrong History book and I don't know if I'm behind in any of the classes I'm in."
"No problem, do you have sixth period free? We could meet in the library and you can get the book you need there, it would give you time to know if you have the right books for your other classes and then we can go over everything and see where you're at. My friend Johnathan will be there too, we both tutor people and he might be able to help if I can't."
"I do and that works for me. Where is the library anyway?"
"At the end of this hall." Willow pointed. "You'll know it when you see it."
"Thanks, I'll see you then." Willow nodded and headed off to her own class. Buffy headed off for her own and when sixth period came around, headed for the library, where she found Willow and her friend hadn't arrived yet. She leaned against the checkout counter to wait for them.
"I know what you're looking for." The middle age man standing behind the counter said.
"This being the library, I bet you're going to say a book." Buffy answered.
"A special book." He replied and reached under the checkout desk and laid an old, thick book on the counter. It had Vampyr written on it. Buffy stated at it and then said.
"I hate you." Just as Willow walked in, followed by Johnathan. With a confused look the librarian put the book away and Buffy went to join Willow and her friend at the table, purposely ignoring the guy who just had to be a Watcher, because who else would offer a book titled Vampyr to a Vampire Slayer?
