Chuck vs. The Courtyard Bench

Well, in the previous chapter: The Walker women discuss the topic of Chuck. Molly has her misgivings when it comes to the type of guy she's into. Chuck in her mind isn't one of the women. This leads to a stare down between sisters so much so that momma Emma has to intervene. After a heart to heart with Molly who was very concerned about her big sister, she gives a heartfelt stamp of approval of the nerdy individual whose hair seems to form weird animal shapes. It wouldn't be long before Sarah does a deep dive into the realm of YouTube in order to find out more on the man that has grabbed her attention like no other. She would find herself riding a deeply emotional rollercoaster filled with highs and lows. So what's in store for this chapter. Words of wisdom are being shared and taken. So, what infamous movie dance from Spider-Man 3 is Morgan urging to do in order to impress Sarah? Who is mentioned during a heart to heart talk between Chuck and Ellie? Why does Morgan consider himself priceless to his nerdy best friend? Read and find out! Anyways, hope you enjoy the read and leave a comment to share your own thoughts on this particular chapters. As always, reviews are awesome.

Again, if you enjoyed reading my stories and left a comment I truly appreciate it. Please continue to do so as it gives me the incentive to write more chapters.

A Word of Advice

XXX

It's a bright and sunny Saturday mid-morning in Santa Monica, California. It's around 10:45 and the temperature is a brisk 78 degrees and a bit windy. In a house located up a street from the Santa Monica beach that's nearby sits Casa Bartowski, where he's been living a couple years after his aforementioned business Kessel Run Technologies gradually became successful. So successful that he was able to move out own his own after living with Ellie and Devon for most of his life. One of the reasons he chose a place right near the beach is because it gives him a place to go to in order to be alone and calmly decompress from any or all insanity that may occur.

Of course, he wouldn't be living alone as he would have a roommate to share responsibilities in paying the bills and chores, which would be his best friend/business partner Morgan Grimes. Speaking of Morgan, he's in the middle of a conversation with his roomie concerning the events of what happened yesterday in the courtyard of Westside Medical Center.

"Listen Morgan..." Chuck said stepping into the kitchen of bachelor pad Casa Bartowski. His bearded best friend following suit behind him. "...I still have no idea what just happened yesterday." he said stopping at the fridge. He places his hand on the door handle then turns his head to momentarily shake his head. "It's so blowing my mind that it's hard to believe." he said pulling it open. Him staring inside.

"Believe it dude. You're a hero to all nerds out there." he proudly proclaimed reaching out with left hand. He then waves out indiscriminately nearly hitting the man standing in front of him. Luckily, he leans back a bit to avoid the hit. "A regular Peter Parker who gets the girl namely Mary Jane Watson."

"Ah..." Chuck instantly chimed in. He closes the door after briefly looking inside again and finding nothing really appealing to take out to eat or drink. "...technically though he got with Gwen Stacy before Mary Jane."

Morgan waves it off in response. "Semantics."

"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means" Chuck sarcastically retorted in a very iconic movie character accent.

In that moment, eyebrows furrow mulling over those two words. After about a second or two, he shakes off his whole thought process. "Whatever Ingio Montoya. All I can say, it's awesome. You know what you have to do now don't you?" he said pointing at him.

"Pray tell Morg..." he chuckled closing the fridge door after not getting anything out. "...what do I have to do?" Chuck added crossing his arms.

"You got to go full on Peter Parker from Spider-Man 3. You know..." he said starting to do the dance. "...in the sidewalk scene. When he gets influenced by the evil symbiote known as Venom." At this point Morgan closes his eyes as he continues speaking. "Awesome character. Topher Grace as Eddie Brock. Not who I would have picked to play him." he shared shaking his head.

Chuck stands there with both eyebrows slowly rising up at what is going down before him. At this point, he makes the decision to quickly make his exit before it gets completely out of hand. Chuck steps forward and past Morgan in mid dance heading through the open doorway and makes his way into his room. Morgan eyes pops open and spins around just in time to see his best friend heading into his room. He shuffles quickly and not to mention excitedly after him.

"Hey, what do you have lose, dude? It's just us." he urged entering his best friend's room. Both eyebrows raised up at him. "Nobody else around." Morgan briefly looking around the room briefly holding out both his hands.

He stands there watching Chuck go through a myriad of facial expressions as he's clearly lost in thought mulling over his request. A hint of smile appears when he notices the oh so familiar look of acceptance causing him to do a mini celebration. "All right. Let's first off get in the mood." he said quickly digging into pocket to get his phone.

It wouldn't be long before he scans for a particular folder with all his music downloaded on it. Once he finds it, he clicks and scours a specific file. A file he finally locates it evident by the same Cheshire cat like smile he witnessed yesterday before the Live YouTube show. After clicking said file, both men wait until they hear the instrumental to the scene where the Evil Peter Parker has fully embraced the symbiote unleashing a completely different side of him. In any case, Morgan then places his phone down the corner of Chuck's bed and holds up his right finger.

"Do what I do." he instructed, starting to snap his fingers.

Afterwards, he begins walking back and forth starting from his left. For Chuck, it all seems so ridiculous but begrudgingly goes with it by following suit. At first Chuck is hesitant but then starts to gradually enjoy, especially listening to the song. Both men start getting in to the groove to the point they suddenly dance somewhat in sync two the street scene from the movie. "Feel it Chuck." he urged exuding a smooth tone to his voice.

Surprisingly, Chuck is in fact feeling it to the point where he suddenly shoots finger guns at imaginary ladies walking by him leading to the arms wide out slide. It's not until he catches himself doing said move on the full length mirror that he's suddenly brought back to reality by the sheer horror of it all. The horror of doing the same dance moves that Tobey/Peter does when he emerges out of clothing store. Hip thrusts and all. He stops immediately reaching over to pick up Morgan's phone to stop the music.

"This isn't working Morgan. I feel so stupid. It's not me."

The attempt by Morgan to provide a way to get his bosom buddy in the right mind set and groove for that matters for his non-date with Sarah fails. This leads to a familiar voice to intercede. "Sorry to interrupt boys…" Both men turn immediately stop quickly turning around to see Devon standing there.

"Awesome to see you..." Chuck briefly glances at his partner in crime a bit embarrassed at what his unfortunate display of "dancing". "...awesome. How long have you...uh...been standing there."

"Long enough."

"What are you doing here?"

"Ellie, Clara and I decided to come up for a visit. It's been a skosh since our last one." grinned the head surgeon of Westside Medical Center. "They are at the park right now but they'll be here when Clara decides she wants to see her awesome nerdy uncle." He pauses for a brief second taking a moment to eye both men from side to side." May I ask what's going on here?"

"I'm teaching him to channel his inner Peter Parker." he answer back starting the dance again. He is quickly stopped by Chuck who waves him off in a frantic manner for his own good. In that instance, Devon steps forward from the open doorway and makes his way around Chuck's bed inevitably standing next to his brother-in-law. His best standing on the other side. He then turns Chuck around leading Morgan to the same.

"Morgan, let me handle this. No offense, I've had my fair share of ladies in the past just being my awesome self." he said flashing a smile at his own reflection in the mirror. He then averts his smiling gaze to Chuck and Morgan reflection as well.

Morgan quickly responds. "It's because you live in a bubble."

"What?" responded Devon cocking his head slight to the forward. His attention focused on his brother-in-law's bearded little friend.

It's at that point, Morgan cranes his neck a bit forward looking past Chuck and over at Devon standing on the other side. "You heard me." He turns and pushes his tall, lanky best friend back causing Chuck to be absolutely baffled at what's going on right now. "Pardon me buddy." he said in a polite apologetic manner. He then continues to rotate with his hetero life partner in a clockwise manner to where he's now standing next to Devon in front of the full length mirror. It's now Chuck standing where Morgan stood just a moment ago. This all happens in one fell sweep leaving the nerdy business owner somewhat baffled at what just happened. "I need to show Awesome something."

"What might that be?" Devon wondered. his right brow arching slightly upward.

"Take a look at yourself again." he said pointing at Devon's reflection. "Go ahead." The two sitting on the couch watch as Devon does indeed look at himself leading Morgan to continue on. "It's a freakish bubble of handsomeness. Now look at me..." he stated pointing to himself. "…and Chuck." The self-professed nerd snaps his neck turning to look at Morgan after hearing that. "The both of us..." he stated blindly patting his best friend's right arm without looking. "...bubbles. We have to be completely verbal."

It's at that point, Clara comes barreling into the room and zeros in on her favorite uncle suddenly freezing a few feet from his bedroom door. Chuck locks eyes with his 6 year old niece and a happy dance ensues between the two of them. Clara runs inevitably launching herself into the arms of her nerdy uncle fully wrapping his arms around the tiny tike. However, before doing so he hands off Morgan's phone without even looking at him. As the uncle is swinging his niece around in a big nerdy bear hug with her little legs swinging side to side, the sound of a familiar female voice fills the room.

"That's what I like to see."

Chuck momentarily stops to see Ellie standing at the doorway with a smile on her face. Speaking of Ellie, she would be called out by her husband. "Hey babe."

"Hi Ellie."

"Morgan. As a reminder, the no touch policy still applies."

Morgan simply nods leading a soft chuckle is expressed by Devon as he continues on. "Did Clara have fun at the park?"

"She did. She's a little ball of energy that one." she happily said. While standing there she watches the mini version of herself and her husband goofing around together. In that instance, she gets her brother's attention. "Hey, little brother."

"What's up sis?"

"Take a walk with me? Let's talk."

"Usual spot?"

Ellie gives a silent nod leading her attention to fall on her 6 year old daughter. "Can I come mommy!?" giggled Clara now on climbing on her uncle's back. A happy, care free smile expressed on her adorable face.

"Yeah sis. Can she come with?" inquired the youngest Bartowski sibling.

Ellie tilts her head slightly to the read as Clara and Chuck shoot puppy dog faces towards her. In her mind, its not fair and truth be told she would never stood a chance to say no. "Ok."

Chuck and Clara both celebrate as he piggy backs her out his bedroom door with Ellie following. However, before she leaves, she talks to her husband. "You coming honey?"

"Nah. You guys go ahead. Morgan and I..." he stated reaching up placing his right hand on Morgan's left shoulder. "...are gonna have a chat." he added causing Morgan to expressing wonder and bewilderment on his face.

"Have fun." waved Ellie disappearing out of sight.

Once she leaves, Morgan turns his head towards Devon. "So, what are we gonna talk about." he asked somewhat concerned.

"A question my man. A question that you need to ask yourself." he answered back turning Morgan around. The both of them looking into full length mirror. "Am I a tucker?" he shared taking a brief glance down at his untucked shirt. An even more perplexed expression gracing his face.

"How are you feeling little brother? Where's your head at?"

While Clara is playing and running up the shore, Ellie along with younger brother is following right behind within the protective radius of their sightline. The eldest and youngest Bartowski sibling are multitasking as they are both closely monitoring her whereabouts, as well having a conversation like they've always done in the past when given the opportunity to. It's their one on one heart to heart talks that have been a staple between the two of them ever since their parents left them. First it was their mom and then their dad to where she had to grow up fast in order raise Chuck up to be the type of guy he is now.

"Still attached to my body El." joked Chuck expressing a faint chuckle.

"You know what I mean. Do you think you're ready for this?"

Chuck stops leading Ellie to stop as well. Luckily, Clara is sitting down a few feet away from them digging up what appears to be seashells giving Chuck time to answer her question. He turns his attention from Ellie to the seemingly calm Santa Monica surf then to the seemingly endless waters of the Pacific Ocean that stretch for miles. While momentarily standing there, he can feel the wind hitting not only his face, but somewhat tossing his already messy dark brown curls around in a myriad of directions. The proud nerd takes a deep breath through his nose then slowly exhales. "Am I ever going to be ready? Me hanging out with Sarah. I was completely blindsided. All happened in a blur." he shared shaking his head in total disbelief.

Ellie instantly chimes in. "But that's a good thing. Right?" She too turns her attention out in the calm surf of the California water briefly closing her eyes. The wind hitting her face and after a few seconds opens them again. After checking on her daughter who is still focused on digging out sea shells, she returns her attention to Chuck still gazing out into the waters. The possibly of him being lost in thought is something she doesn't rule out. Yet, she continues on hoping he hears her. "Being blindsided by love. Starting out as friendship. The way it should be."

The elder Bartowski sibling's hope of her brother actually listening to her instead of being lost in thought would be answered. "I just don't wanna create a false sense of excitement for a "relationship"..." he stated in "air quotes". "... that may end up being doomed!" Chuck said.

"Why doomed?" inquired the eldest Bartowski shaking her head in disbelief. "So, you've already thrown in the towel, you tomato."

"Referencing a Mickey quote from Rocky isn't helping you win any brownie points."

Ellie immediately shoots a glaring stare towards her brother. A look she's done plenty of times growing up, which Chuck has endured many times as well. "Then why are you giving up? You're basically quitting on yourself. Quitting on Sarah. I taught you better than this." she angrily stated. "What I have you told you numerous times about quitting."

"If you love someone then you don't stop. You don't quit. You never go too far. A Bartowski never quits." He shakes his head. "That's the thing though. I'm not in love with her. I barely even know her."

"Which is why you're doing this. To get to know her."

"I know. I get it." he stammered out with frustration in his voice.

"Do you? Then why set yourself up for disappointment? It doesn't make any sense."

"Because she's not into me. Plus the fact, she's only hanging out with me because she wanted to apologize for how she reacted yesterday. I would have reacted the exact same away if I were in her shoes, especially with the kids involved. She doesn't know how protective of a big brother I am to them."

"She doesn't..." she proudly replied. "...but I do. We all do at the hospital."

For Ellie, she has personally witnessed the strong bond over the years that Chuck has established with the kids at the hospital. All rightfully deserved to be called rockstars what they've personally endured during their treatments. In her mind, it's those kids that most definitely saved him from completely losing himself after suffering a tremendous heartbreak that shattered his entire world. Unbeknownst to him, it would a blessing in disguise as it would give Chuck a a found sense of purpose after being lost in every sense of the word within himself, she thinks to herself. A purpose in which he slowly regained the man before the break up, but even more awesome than she truly knows him to be from a big sister standpoint.

Granted, his life would gradually rebuild brick by brick from the ground up, so to speak. After years of rebuilding, he would emerge from the rubble a new man but missing an all important brick. A brick that represents something that ultimately brings everything together making his proverbial house of a heart into a home filled with love from a truly incredible woman. Is it Sarah? It's certainly a possibility in whatever serendipitous situation that has him unknowingly moving or for that matter being in the right place at the right time scenario. A scenario with so many what ifs and quintessential sliding doors scenarios that it makes any person question what would have happened if Bash at the Bench didn't actually happen that day.

Him being sick or whatever the case maybe would have not have him being with a girl who she can't help but have a great feeling about. Hell, practically the whole hospital is rooting for him to be happy and hope he gets what he unknowingly has been striving to work hard for. Her thoughts of the matter at hand are set aside as Chuck speaks up.

"Thanks for the vote of confidence El."

"Always." she nodded. After some brief silence she pipes up once again. "Trust me…" stated Ellie. "…I have seen the way that that girl looks at you and she is into you."

It's at that point, Chuck finally turns his head to face her with an intrigued expression after hearing that. "Really? In just one day? You can tell?"

"Sometimes, all it takes is one day. One moment." she replied back. "Call it big sister's intuition."

In that instance, Chuck expresses a bit of soft laughter in response. "It's been wrong before."

"When?"

"The times you set me up with Wendy, Ashley, Crossfit Carla, Yoga Amber." he quickly listed off. "Vegan Andrea. She was a real treat." Chuck sarcastically retorted. "I can go on." he dryly stated.

"Ok...ok. I get your point." grinned Ellie with a hint of concern on her face. "I just want you to be happy. Your better half is out there. It may even be Sarah. Just don't completely rule her out as a possibility."

Silence is once again is Chuck's response but it would soon be broken. He shakes his head and speaks up. "Do you know what I've come to learn sis?"

"What?"

After checking on Clara again she then gives her full and undivided attention back to her younger sibling. A younger sibling who takes another deep breath and then shares with his sister what he's potentially learned pertaining matters of the heart. "Not every love story ends with a happy ending. Some don't even happen at all. It just a person like me jumping from one moment to the next. Meet new friends along the way. Have memorable images to look back on that aren't necessarily my own. Those kids in the hospital. One of the main driving forces that helps keep me going day in and day out. Being glad to play some part in it. Lives changed mainly theirs for the better. They find happiness or some type of resolution while I move on staying on my own unforeseen path. No real happy ending in sight. My best friend who I can always count on by my side every step of the way."

In response, Ellie quirk her right brow. "Isn't that sort of the premise to Quantum Leap?"

Chuck gives a half-hearted shrug. "I do kind of relate and think of myself as Scott Bakula's character Dr. Sam Beckett. Always thought he bared a striking resemblance to dad." After taking a brief moment to think about comparing himself to one the greatest and considerably iconic tv characters of all time; and the man who caused him to seek some much needed therapy, he clears his throat. "Truth be told, it's not falling in love with the person of your dreams. It's not even finding your perfect half. If that person actually exits."

"What is it then?"

"It's the trying and the reaching..." he said with such emotion behind those words being conveyed. "...but most of all the failing. The failing is what scares the hell out of me."

A look of understanding is exuded on Ellie's face to where a soft smile is shown. She reaches over in order to rub the back of brother's left arm. This causes Chuck to turn his head to face her. After some momentary silence, she gives her response to what he just said. "What you said. That's just half of it. Your heart hit rock bottom but were able to bounce back. I'm damn proud of you for that little brother." She pauses then continues on. "A word of advice. You've already failed if you haven't at least try and reach for what could be with Sarah. That's what going to end up scaring you the most. Just be open to it at least." Chuck takes that moment to ponders what she shared with him. It's at the point, a tight-lipped smile of appreciation is directed towards her leading him to lean over and bump her right shower with his left. The two siblings share another Bartowski moment of many countless moment together as Clara happily giggling away digging for more seashells.

"So Chuckles, anywhere awesome you're taking Sarah on your non date?" inquiring Devon utilizing air quotes. "What's your plan?" he added briefly glancing at his daughter Clara sitting on his lap. The 6 year old blissfully unaware as she is coloring/drawing away with crayons and several pieces of paper strewn about the dining room table.

"Please. Don't say Pacific Park and your plan is to end the night on top of the Ferris Wheel. The both of you looking out towards a beautifully lit scenic view." Ellie said shaking her head. She's sitting across the table from her husband with Chuck to her left and Morgan on her right.

"What do you take me for sis? I have more sense than that? he stated leaning comfortably back in his chair. "I learned my lesson with..."

Chuck stops himself from even mentioning that who shall never be named much to delight of the 3 other adults sitting at the table. Ellie mainly. Speaking of Ellie, the attention on her younger sibling is broken by the sound of Morgan's voice. "What's wrong with Pacific Park?" wondered Morgan holding a red crayon in his right hand just a piece of white paper. Her attention along with Chuck and Devon's are directed over to him. "I go there plenty of times. Their food cart churros are awesome."

"With a date?" questioned Ellie quirking her right brow towards her brother's bearded best friend. Morgan's response is complete silence leading the eldest Bartowski sibling. "Uh hmm. " Her attention is then directed back over to her left. "Remind me how did you become best friends with him again?"

"Him?" he replied pointing to his partner in crime. "He was the mystery prize in my cracker jacks box I opened 25 years ago. Seemed cool so I kept him." Chuck sarcastically added with amusement.

"Fortunately for me..." Morgan chimed in. "...my boy Chuck knows the value of a prized friendship. It's priceless. Not easily tossed away."

In response Ellie just stares at Morgan then physically turn herself in order to face Chuck. She leans forwards pointing at him. "Hey. You and Sarah? Sunday? Where?"

"What is Chuck getting lucky with Sarah for 1000 Alex."

Chuck, Ellie and Devon with both hands covering his daughter's ears just stare blankly across the dining room table over at Morgan. This leads to Devon to put his 2 cents into the mix again. "Dude. Not awesome. Keep it G rated. Young lady sitting right here at the table." he intently whispered peering down at her daughter. Clara still coloring/drawing away completely unaware of what is happening right now.

In that instance, Chuck too leans forwards locking eyes with his older sister. "She and I. Non Date. Not telling."

"What? Why?"

"Spoils the mystery of it all?" he retorted back reaching up waving both hands like a magician.

"Ok David Copperfield. Speaking of..." she stated pointing at him. "...no attempts at magic. That and no corny jokes or impressions." Ellie added with a firm nod.

"Got it. Do all that is what you're saying." mischievously grinned the youngest Bartowski sibling.

The urge to reach over and slap the back of her brother's head is quelled. She would instead glance down at her watch and immediately stands up from the dinner table. "As much as I want to continue this..." she said briefly glancing back at Morgan over her right shoulder. She makes her way around Chuck and towards her husband, as well as their daughter. She leans down kissing Devon on the lips then kisses the top of Clara's head. "Have fun spending time with your daddy and uncles baby. Taking the car."

"We'll get a ride home with Chuck. Plus, it gives us the opportunity for some quality bro time." flashing his charming smile up towards her.

"Define bro time." questioned Chuck. He knows there are vast differences of what his version and what the handsome heart surgeon's version of "quality bro time" is defined as. His attention would then be directed to her older sister who is heading towards the front door. "Where are you off to?"

"Mom's night out for me. So, letting my hair down with some friends." she said standing at the front door.

"Drive responsibly Ellie." Morgan waved.

"Indeed babe. Has a designated driver been chosen?"

"We'll figure it out honey. Have fun boys."

"Later sis!"

"Bye mommy!" Clara adorably waving to her mother from across the room. The toddler bouncing up and down with exuberance as her mother gives one more wave before disappearing out the front door. Chuck, Morgan, and Devon with Clara still sitting in his lap turn their attention from the front door to each other. After a brief moment of awkward silence except for the sounds of crayons scrawling on paper, it's Morgan who pipes up. "Seriously..." Brother and brother-in-law turn their heads to the man sitting at the end of the table. "...the churros at Pacific Park are the best. We should all go. I have coupons." he suggested returning to what he's coloring/drawing taking a brief moment to playfully write on Clara's paper. A soft giggle is expressed by the 6 year old. Afterwards, it leads to Chuck and Devon to slowly turn to each other not knowing whether he's serious or not.

It's 7:05 p.m. when Sarah arrives at Ellie's apartment complex located in Echo Park. After exiting her vehicle, she enters the covered archway that would eventually lead her to an open and not to mention spacious courtyard. She's wearing a brown leather coat over a red sleeveless v neck top that doesn't expose too much, jeans, and black high heels. Handbag matching her heels clutched in her right hand while her eyeshadow and lipstick matches her red sleeveless v neck top. Not overly provocative to where she's flaunting and not too dressed down as if you're going to the movies. In other words, a stylish happy medium. Her blonde shoulder length locks just below the shoulder now freely flowing instead of tightly pulled back into some contorted variation by scrunchies, chop sticks, hair clips bobby pins or a combination of any of the 4 mentioned.

In any case, as for the courtyard itself, she would most definitely be in awe of the architectural design, as well as layout of the complex itself. While doing a slowly 360 degree turn thoroughly impressed at what she sees all around her, what she feels brings it all together is the fountain that is placed directly in the middle, which in her mind balances it all out. After taking a moment to check her phone for the apartment number that Ellie texted her along with the address to the place, she finally spots it located on the other side of the fountain. She makes her way around it being careful not to trip and fall in, which absolutely ruin her night. A night she's been absolutely looking forward to for a number of reasons. On the way to the front door, so many thoughts are running through her mind one of them being that she is dig considerably deeper into what makes Chuck tick. For her, there's no better way to find out than the one person other than Devon and probably Morgan who has more knowledge, as well as keen insight on than a sister who practically raised him.

Upon reaching the front door, she stands there for brief second and takes a deep breath. Granted, her non date is with Chuck tomorrow but when it comes to her night out with Ellie its equally as nerve racking. Why? The research she's done beforehand in order to get ready for her meet up with the man who she came on a bit strong in the courtyard of Westside Medical Center. Hey, it's what any woman does in regards to getting the scoop on a guy if she were actually dating him, which she isn't. Truth be told, it was the Wildcard Enforcer in her that took over being that it was 2 suspicious looking individuals that shouldn't on Hospital grounds, especially within close proximity to the children's medical wing of the facility. Her intentions were warranted but her instincts were unfortunately wrong on that that particular Friday.

Speaking of her Wildcard Enforcer persona, it was something her mom said during the intense conversation she had with Molly that stuck with her. She said to it was time to leave that look and her behind. As she stands there reaching up to knock on the door, one thing is made perfectly clear to her. If she wants to truly happy, she'll have to do
just that and starting a friendship with Chuck is quite possibly a step in that direction by letting go of that person who wasn't happy at all. Essentially, its a new chapter and fresh start for herself knowing its one piece of motherly advice that's she's actually listening to she thinks to herself. She just has to make it through one person first then proceed with her mission objective. Her thoughts abruptly end when the person in question opens the door.

"Hey! Good to see you." happily greeted Ellie with a warm, welcoming smile. "Hard to find the place?" she asked stepping outside. The door being pulled shut behind her then locked.

The scrubs, sneaker, white doctors coat, and stethoscope hanging around neck that she would normally wear during the work week now replaced with an ensemble befitting a night on a town. A lightweight 3/4 sleeve dark blazer over a dark green short sleeve decorative spaghetti strap top, black pants, and matching green heels. Her dark brown hair pulled back into a ponytail in order to accentuate the slenderness of her neck. Her somewhat protruding bangs curled down towards her smoky, darkish green eye shadow. Medium length hoop earrings dangling from both ears. A matching clutch handbag to match her shoes and top. The only thing that doesn't match overall is her lipstick, which is a light velvet color. Like Sarah, not overly provocative to where she's flaunting and not too dressed down as if you're going to the movies. In other words, a stylish happy medium as well.

"A little. A bit late though."

"Nah. You're right on time. You ready?" she said momentarily standing in front her.

"Yeah. Who else is coming?"

"Just us. The ones who said they were coming flaked on me. Hey, we'll have fun without them."

Sarah responds with a faint laughter, with a mixture of nervousness and excitement. She along with Ellie head out together as the two women go out to paint the town of Los Angeles red. That and have discussions of the past, the present, and potential future. Most of all, discussions about the following mutual topic in mind: Chuck Bartowski.
