Chuck vs. The Courtyard Bench

Well, in the previous chapter: Casey had a heart-to-heart talk with his mentor and sensei, Ty Bennett. During their talk, Bennett shared with Casey he didn't want to be seen as weak knowing how his life has turned out and what he used to be. He also shared with Casey that it came to a point where thoughts of not wanting to live crept into his mind. When Casey heard that, he revealed to Bennett that he suffered from depression after coming back from his 2nd tour, which he hid from Kathleen. Ultimately, by sharing his lady feelings with Bennett, his mentor relented and let him help. That was when Casey got in contact with Brother Bodhin. However, before he contacted Brother Bodhin, Casey dealt with Keller who was considered a bad influence on his mentor. Sarah witnessed the confrontation but wasn't able to listen in because it was just the two of them alone in the waiting room. So, what 's going on in this chapter? Here are the who, what, where, when, why, how's? Who gave a gift that would help Chuck plan a special surprise for Sarah. What movie character does Chuck compare he and Sarah two, but switched? Where was the image of Casey dancing to a certain movie after learning of his surprising profession permanently brain stamped? When does the nerdy couple listen to country music? Why does Sarah suddenly google and research P Diddy? How do Chuck and Sarah end their special night together? I hope you enjoy the read and leave a comment to share your own thoughts on this particular chapters. As always, reviews are awesome.

Again, if you enjoyed reading my stories and left a comment, I truly appreciate it. Please continue to do so as it gives me the incentive to write more chapters.

I don't own Chuck.

Our Song

XXX

It was a beautiful Tuesday starry filled night in Santa Monica. Chuck and Sarah sat together on top of a large blanket and several large pillows around them formed in a U-shape. The opening faced towards the water. That wasn't all as 4 lit tiki torches were planted in the sand at all four corners of the blanket itself. The setting was made even more awe inspiring with not only candles placed within red candle holders that not only encircled and illuminated their special spot, but had gardenias strewn around for a more romantic ambience. In any case, the nerdy couple were not only sitting closely together, but they were sharing one earphone between one another listening to music on a Zune. A Zune that Chuck recently received as a thank you gift from one of his clients, which he tried to decline but to avail.

Since Chuck had the day off he contacted Sarah to meet after work at their beach because he planned something special for her. As much as the beautiful blonde tried to coax what that plan was out of her nerd in her own way, he stood strong and prevailed in being tight lipped when it came to his fiancé's feminine persuasiveness. Speaking of Sarah, she knew quality time spent between just the two of them were few and far between since they got engaged. As individuals, the both of them have been incredibly busy with work and made awesome strides in not only setting but achieving their professional goals.

Of course, they supported and rooted for each other when the other succeeded. The same goes for when they both failed as well. However, Chuck didn't want it to get to a point where they ended up neglecting each other because of their professional lives. So, he did something about it and planned a night of quality time together that was considered fun and romantic. A time where just two of them where they just be with each other. The reaction on Sarah's face when she finally saw their special spot on their beach after Chuck escorted her there from the parking lot made all the time, as well as effort truly worth it. He achieved his objective and that was leaving her absolutely speechless.

"I know you hate surprises," Chuck expressed his trademark toothy smiles as he turned to face her. Both of them stood 10 feet away as Sarah marveled at what she saw. "But I just wanted to do this for you. It's been crazy busy and stressful for the both of us and…"

"Chuck." she breathed out. Tears formed in her eyes.

"Work, our wedding…"

"Baby."

"Heather and Stephen shadowing us has put some added pressure on the both of us…"

Sarah didn't waste any time knowing he was going to ramble on. She launched forward, wrapped her arms around Chuck's neck, and pressed her lips against his to make him stop talking. It certainly worked as the youngest Bartowski sibling melted into then firmly returned the kiss back to his soon-to-be wife. After what seemed like forever being locked in each other's kiss, their lips eventually separated giving the couple a moment to breathe.

"I love it." Sarah softly smiled.

"Awesome." he softly breathed out. "I was going for the whole backyard scene vibe from the movie She's All That."

Sarah grinned as she instantly made the connection to one of the late 90's movies that defined a generation. "It was after the whole prom fiasco Laney went through. Lost being prom queen to Taylor and Dean tried to seduce her when she left the prom with him. Zach regretted making that bet and was completely heartbroken."

"Laney's dad was the MVP for her and Zach." Chuck recalled.

Sarah nodded in agreement. "Thankfully, Laney was smart and didn't trust Dean."

"Smart like you, Sarah Walker," Chuck pulled Sarah in and hugged her tighter. "However, there is a difference though," he added.

"And what's that?" wondered Sarah.

"You're Zach," Chuck retorted. "And I'm Laney." he added, lightly tapping Sarah on her nose with his right index finger.

"You know," Sarah stood there with her arms wrapped around Chuck and thought about it for a moment. "You're right."

That was when she first arrived. For the better part of an hour and a half they were shuffling through the playlist of their favorite songs that Morgan downloaded into it so the both of them could choose their song. A song that perfectly described and encapsulated their relationship from how they met back then, to where they are now, and where they'll be in the future together. Each time they came across a song that they stopped to listen to, they put it on the following two lists: Yes and Maybe.

As they continued listening to the playlist of songs on Chuck's new Zune, they dined on Subway sandwiches that he bought for the two of them. It was washed down with their drinks of choice. After a while of listening to those selected songs, they soon realized a pattern emerged. They had an 80's theme to it. One after another. Essentially, Morgan's selections consisted of movie soundtracks like Berlin's 'Take My Breath Away' from the movie Top Gun to Karate Kid's 'Glory of Love' by Peter Cetera, which was ending. When it did, Chuck and Sarah removed the earphones they shared. The bride-to-be faced her soon-to-be husband.

"Let's take a break."

"Sure."

Chuck took that moment to stuff his face with the remaining half of his Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki sandwich. As his mouth was full, Sarah brought something up concerning music for the wedding.

"We really haven't discussed DJ's and how much it's going to cost us," After she said that Chuck responded but his mouth was full of food. "What did you say?" questioned Sarah.

After Chuck swallowed the remnants of the sandwich in his mouth, he took a quick moment to wash it down with his drink. "I said," The nerd briefly paused and took one more sip of his drink before he continued on. "No worries, there's a backup plan in place."

"What back up plan?"

"Casey."

"What about Casey?" Afterwards, Sarah stared at Chuck who raised both of his eyebrows. "Nooooo. How come I don't know about this?"

Chuck smiled and nodded. "Casey is considered a jack of all trades."

"I'm sure he is," Sarah responded, sounding shocked and surprised. "How long has he been a DJ?"

"I don't know," answered Chuck. "None of us know. One day, Ellie was angry and frustrated that the DJ that she booked for Clara's 5th birthday canceled on her 3 days prior to the party. She didn't know what to do. We all banded together to call other DJ's who could possibly be available at the asking price the DJ that canceled on them agreed to. Unfortunately, they all declined, and their asking price was just too expensive."

"That's when Casey stepped in?"

Once again, Chuck nodded. "Casey said he'd do it for free. Wait…" He suddenly stopped and corrected himself. "What he actually said was he'll DJ Clara's birthday for 2 packages of double stuffed Oreo cookies. Let's just say we were all awesomely surprised."

"What else did he say?" After she asked that question, she took a bite of her Turkey and Black Forest Ham Subway sandwich.

"He used to do some DJing as a side gig and all of his equipment was in storage. That's all he shared." Afterwards, he shrugged his shoulders then took another bite of his Sweet Onion Teriyaki subway sandwich.

"Did you at least take a video of him DJing Clara's birthday party?"

"Morgan and I tried to," responded Chuck. "But Casey threatened us with bodily harm if we did." he added, breathing out a soft chuckle of amusement.

"What was DJ Casey like?"

"You just had to be there to experience it for yourself," Chuck searched for the right words to describe what he saw at that particular moment in time. He shook his head and raised both eyebrows in disbelief. "The image of Casey dancing to the Shrek 2 version of Livin' La Vida Loca,'' he softly breathed out. "Permanently brain stamped."

After she heard that, she truly wanted to see the video of Casey dancing to the song. In her mind, she'll have to get in contact with Ellie because if there's one person who could have shot a video of it all, it's her, she thought to herself. Sarah set that particular thought aside and then another thought popped in her head, which she uttered out loud. "I wonder what else he can do?"

"Who knows," mumbled Chuck, with his mouth full of Subway. After he swallowed it and took another sip of his drink, he continued on. "Hey, maybe if we have an open bar at our wedding, he can be the bartender?"

"It wouldn't surprise me one bit if he does know how." Sarah retorted, shaking her head with amusement. "Have you asked him yet?"

"I have not." At that point, Chuck gave a wide Cheshire cat-like smile towards Sarah, which caused her to quirk her right brow.

"You want me to do it." Chuck did say anything and just continued to smile widely like a Cheshire cat. "Mhmmm." she softly breathed out. After a few seconds of silence and making him wait she finally responded. "You're lucky that I love you, Chuck Bartowski."

Afterwards, Sarah playfully threw her used napkin towards Chuck and hit him as he was taking a bit of his Subway sandwich. Speaking of Chuck, he just rolled with it and continued to express a goofy, closed mouth smile because it was filled with Sweet Onion Teriyaki Chicken. Sarah couldn't help but laugh looking at her fiancé as she took a bite of her own Black Forest Ham Subway sandwich. That and the knowledge that her hulking partner was also DJ, which was something she would eventually bring up and talk to her hulking partner about.

The nerdy couple finished off their Subway sandwiches and resumed listening to the seemingly endless playlist of songs on Chuck's newly gifted Zune. When it came to the quality of songs that were being chosen, it started Unfortunately, a number of songs they came across that Morgan downloaded for them to listen to weren't exactly music to their ears, so to speak. One of those songs was Prodigy's 'Smack My Bitch Up', which led to a short conversation between the two of them.

"What was Morgan thinking?" wondered Sarah, shaking her head.

"It could've been a mistake," responded Chuck. "It happens." he added, shrugging his shoulders.

In their minds, they gave the man who announced to everyone that he called dibs on being best man back in middle school the benefit of the doubt and simply chalked it up to a mistaken download on his part. In any case, the songs that came after were much better for them. It was movie songs of the 80's and they were most definitely considered soundtracks that had them momentarily returning to their childhood. One of those songs was Peter Gabriel's 'In your Eyes'. When the song ended, the soon-to-be groom turned his head and faced his bride-to-be.

"Listen…"

"The answer is no," Sarah instantly answered.

Chuck briefly paused and stared at Sarah for a moment. "You didn't know what I was going to say or ask for that matter."

"I know what you were going to ask." she retorted, turning to face Chuck.

"Know you weren't."

Sarah squinted her eyes at Chuck and just stared at him. "Ellie told me."

At that point, Chuck squinted his eyes back at Sarah leading to a squint off between the two of them. "What did she tell you," He kept his focus on Sarah while he continued squinting back at her. "Exactly?"

"When you were 13 years old, you told Ellie you wanted to hold a boombox above your head." Chuck's eyes widened as Sarah continued on. "It was for the woman you were either going to pop the question to or see walk down the aisle waiting to get married." Sarah shared.

A stunned expression was expressed by Chuck. So stunned in fact he stammered out one word. "Wh…When?"

"Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey."

Chuck was momentarily confused, but then a sudden realization hit him. "The dinner date you had with Ellie before our non-date." Sarah responded with a smile then reached up and tapped her nose with her left index finger. As for Chuck, he expressed a soft Chuckle before he continued on. "Hey, that boombox scene in the movie Say Anything was and still is iconic in any movie, especially without any dialogue whatsoever. John Cusack's character Lloyd Dobber just standing under the window of Ione Skye's character Diane Court. The camera slowly zoomed in on Cusack's face," Chuck gestured a chef's kiss. "Awesome. A masterpiece in movie making. Anything else doesn't hold up." he added, with a smile.

"I know," Sarah smiled back. "And it's never going to happen."

Chuck instantly slouched after he heard that. "Come ooooonnnn." he softly groaned, in a playfully, childish way. Unfortunately, his attempt at swaying the tide in his favor didn't work when he saw on Sarah's face a bit of her other persona showing. At that moment, he decided to quit before the Wildcard Enforcer fully emerged. Afterwards, he shrugged his shoulders and resumed speaking. "At least that was better than how I originally imagined to pop the question or get married for that matter."

When Sarah heard that, her ears and interest instantly perked up with curiosity. "You have my attention."

"Well," Chuck shrugged with a bit of embarrassment knowing he may regret it later concerning what he was about to share with his soon-to-be wife. "First off, I was a kid when I created my proposal/wedding plan. Since puberty, it was redone so many times with Morgan over the years. It ended up being completely scrapped after you know who."

Sarah rolled her eyes with disdain. "I know."

"Anyways," Chuck quickly continued on to avoid lingering on the infamous ex. "It got to a ridiculous point where I planned on driving up in a DeLoren. What was even more ridiculous was how you would make your entrance."

"How ridiculous?" wondered Sarah, arching her right brow.

"Don't laugh," He briefly paused knowing it did sound absolutely ridiculous saying it out loud. "You'd be riding in on a wild stallion dressed in your Harry Potter Gryffindor robe."

As much as Sarah tried to stifle a laugh, she failed to do so. She ended up covering her mouth and then lowered her head. When she was able to compose herself, she lifted her head and saw the look of embarrassment on Chuck's face. She felt sorry for laughing and quickly apologized. "I'm sorry, babe."

"I knew I should have kept my mouth shut."

Sarah instantly reached over grabbed Chuck's hands with hers and comforted her nerd. "No," She shook her head and squeezed his hands. "You just have a very nerdy and imaginative heart, Chuck Bartowski," The oldest Walker daughter leaned in and was an inch away from her fiancé's, "And that's why I love you."

As Chuck looked deeply into Sarah's sapphire-colored eyes, he expressed his trademark toothy smile. He was about to lean forward and kiss her when Sarah suddenly pulled back. "Seriously? I'm riding a wild stallion wearing a Gryffindor robe?"

"Oh yeah," Chuck sheepishly shrugged his shoulders. "I actually revised it after I found out you're such a huge Harry Potter nerd." Afterwards, he shook his head. "There was also something about after getting married we'd drive down the coast in a Lamborghini for our honeymoon."

Sarah instantly pointed to Chuck. "That I could see actually happening."

"You can afford a Lamborghini?" Chuck stopped and realized what he asked. "Of course, you can afford one. You're Sarah Freakin' Walker." he added, shaking his head.

"Soon to be Sarah Freakin' Bartowski." she declared, with a soft smile.

Chuck expressed his trademark toothy smile once again, then lifted up the earphones they shared for her to see. As for Sarah, she didn't say a word. She simply took one of them and stuck it in right left ear as Chuck stuck the right one in his right. Afterwards, they picked up right where they left off and listened to the next song that was after 'In Your Eyes' by Peter Gabriel.

After the couple finished their musical jaunt of the 80's movie soundtrack, they ended up in expected territory. That unexpected territory was the two of them listening to songs that were considered a bit of surprise to hear. Apparently, there were a number of songs added by Morgan that Chuck wasn't aware of, which was country music. Unfortunately, the nerdy couple weren't very much into that genre of music, but on occasion a country song would become so popular it was played on other radio stations. Songs like 'Amazed', by Lonestar, 'Bless The Broken Road' by Rascal Flatts, and How Do I Live. Chuck actually liked the Trish Yearwood version instead the one sung by LeAnn Rimes even though it was the same song associated with the action-packed Nick Cage movie, Con Air.

Essentially, it was another piece of movie soundtrack nostalgia, but in the 90's this time. They took a moment to listen a bit and scrolled through a bit more before they stopped on a song by Clint Black that featured his wife, Lisa Hartman Black, which was called 'When I said I Do'. The couple listened to the first 2 sets of lyrics until Chuck suddenly paused it, He then unplugged the earphones from the Zune, which caused a look of confusion on Sarah's face. It wasn't until she saw Chuck stick an attachment that connected a speaker to the Zune, she realized what was happening. She found out later he bought the speaker in case he needed it. He did for this particularly special occasion.

A few moments later Chuck stood up, restarted the song, and paused it. He then placed the Zune and speaker down on one of the larger pillows. Beforehand, he made sure the Zune and speaker weren't going to fall down to. Sarah actually witnessed Chuck pointing and then telling the Zune with the speaker attached to it to stay, which was a humorous sight to see and hear for the beautiful blonde. Afterwards, Chuck un-paused the song and then reached over to Sarah offering his right hand to Sarah. Speaking of Sarah, she saw her nerd flashing his trademark toothy smile as she placed her right hand in his hand. Afterwards, he smoothly lifted her up into his embrace, led her off of the blanket, then started slowly swaying together on the sand. As they did, that's when words to the first set of lyrics to the country song were sung.

These times are trouble
And these times are good
There always gonna be
They rise and they fall
We take them all the way that we should
Together you and me
Forsaking them all
Deep in the night
And by the light of day
It always looks the same
True love always does
Here by your side or a million miles away
Nothin' is ever gonna change the way I feel
The way it is, is the way that it was

When I said I do, I meant that I will
Til' the end of all time
Be faithful and true, devoted to you
That's what I had in mind, when I said I do

For Chuck and Sarah, their journey together initially didn't start off on the right foot. Thankfully, after having a conversation with Devon she got a basic understanding of who her future husband was. However, she received a far better understanding of her nerd when she had dinner with a woman who would be her soon to be sister-in-law, Ellie. The oldest Bartowski sibling knew before Chuck did that Sarah was the one for her little brother. In any case, as individuals the engaged couple experienced the rise and fall of being in a negatively dark relationship that caused a tremendous amount of damage mentally, as well as emotionally. Unbeknownst to the two of them, they would end up mentally helping each other find their way to an area of their heart that they thought, as well as felt had long been closed off emotionally.

True, the journey they faced to get where they are now was arduous and was considered a mental, as well as emotional minefield. A dark minefield full of deep-rooted pain and heartbreak that ended up gradually healing thanks to the two of them working together to light the way for each other. They supported each other through the darkness that, in a sense, swallowed the two of them whole. For Chuck. it was Bryce and Jill whereas for Sarah it was her father, Jack, and the man she nearly married, Cole. Those aforementioned minefields were tricky, but they navigated them together despite Chuck suffering a severe panic attack because of Jill's arrival. Of course, there were moments where issues of the past nearly caused a massive mental and emotional explosion but were ultimately avoided thanks to having one another's back.

Well this whole world keeps changin'
And the world stays the same
For all who came before
And it goes hand in hand
Only you and I can undo
All that we became
That makes us so much more (so much more)
Than a woman and a man

As the nerdy couple continued to sway back and forth to the music in each other's loving embrace, they most definitely knew their world was changing, especially after they got engaged. Yet, at the same time, the world they lived involving their work life still stayed the same with a few exceptions. One of those exceptions was the couple agreeing to have an actress and actor shadow them for an upcoming series or movie project inspired by them. Once again they faced that challenge together knowing the actress, Heather Chandler, was shadowing Sarah. What made it even more awkwardly complicated was the fact she was a former classmate that Sarah bullied in high school. It was considered a painful moment for both women and Sarah fully accepted what she did was wrong.

The years of hidden pain and regret Sarah carried around with her was all undone with a genuine, heartfelt apology to Heather. For Sarah, she was absolutely thankful the apology she gave truly unburdened her heart and soul knowing she should have made the right decision by making amends with someone who ultimately became a forever friend. Meanwhile, Chuck was dealing with an actor by the name of Stephen Pollak who took his method acting a bit too seriously. So serious in fact that he nearly cost Chuck a potential client because Pollak asked a totally inappropriate question. Needless to say, a heated discussion happened between both men to the point Chuck needed to walk off or things would have escalated further.

It wasn't until a conversation that Chuck had with the latest Rockstar Rebel, Jagger Renner, that the nerdy YouTube host found out some interesting information about Pollak. Information that shed light that the method actor not only does actually care about someone other than satisfying his own twisted narcissism but was overwhelmingly generous when it came to his donation that was anonymously sent. Chuck knew it was him after he channeled his hacker persona, The Piranha. When he did, the youngest Bartowski sibling basically did a digital backtrack to an organization that was totally legit. What was even more shocking was Pollak's real name, which was Orville Hickenbottom.

Of course, the two situations they've been dealing with now were considered a relatively easy situation to handle when compared to dealing with their exes months ago. Thankfully, all the years of lingering mental and emotional pain caused by Cole and Jill were instantly undone thus creating a sense of absolute relief. However, the deep scars that were left will gradually heal in every sense of the word with each other's help. The nerdy couple were very thankful as they were able to put the painful past of heartbreak, anger, frustration, etc. in their rear-view mirror and move forward with a fresh new start together.

After everything
That comes and goes around
Has only passed us by
Here alone in our dreams
I know there's a lonely heart
In every lost and found
But forever you and I will be the ones
Who found out what forever means

When I said I do, I meant that I will
Til' the end of all time
Be faithful and true, devoted to you
That's what I had in mind, when I said I do

Truer than true
You know that I'll always be there for you

That's what I had in mind
That's what I had in mind

When I said I do

The countdown to stand face to face together among friends and family exchanging their vows will be at hand. Months will seemingly go by weeks then become turns into mere days. Within a blink of an eye they're just hours/minutes/seconds ticking away from becoming husband and wife. As much as Sarah and Chuck have experienced loss, as well as found themselves lost wandering within their own heart. Two lonely hearts who could have passed one another if life worked out very differently, but fate intervened and had a different idea in mind. Two hearts no longer lonely and connected to become forever one. Granted, it took a while to get there knowing that family and practically everybody at the hospital knew that they were meant to be. Ultimately, they just needed some sound advice and that extra added push by the people who care, as well as love them unconditionally to get there.

For Charah, the lyrics to the chorus of the song ring so true, but mostly for Sarah concerning Chuck. She knows he would never betray her. At least not intentionally and unless he had a very good reason to. It's a type of love that's unwaveringly faithful, true, and totally devoted to keeping the woman he loves blissfully happy until her last breath. The same goes for Chuck as well. The lives of two people who literally and figuratively breathed new life into each other will be taking a big step into a future filled with endless possibilities when the words "I do" are happily said to each other. As for the song itself, it ended. When it did, Chuck took a step back and decided to twirl the woman he loved. Unfortunately, the couple forgot they were on sand and the next thing they knew they fell down in each other's arms. Thankfully, they avoided getting burned or caught on fire because of the candles that were placed around the area. After they checked on each other, the love birds looked at each other and couldn't help but laugh knowing it could have been much worse.

What started out as a way to help someone you love to relax through music gradually turned into reliving their childhood nostalgia of the 80's and 90's movie theme soundtrack. They even shared a laugh after the failed attempt of Chuck twirling Sarah on the sand, which caused both of them to fall down. The laughter and fun continued on for the nerdy couple as they eventually ended the nostalgia kick with the song Neverending Story. The thoughts of riding Falcor was every kid's imagination back in the day including Chuck and Sarah's. Sadly, it conjured up traumatic memories of Artax's death and Atreyu trying his best to save the faithful steed. Chuck and Sarah didn't dwell on it too long and moved on to try to search for their song. As Chuck kept scrolling through the playlist from his Zune that was gifted to him, Sarah spoke up.

"I didn't know it would be this hard to find a song that describes and defines our whole relationship." she stated, shaking her head.

"I know," nodded Chuck. "I wish we could just be like Dr. Frankenstein. Create and put together lyrics from other songs to make our song. Unfortunately," As he focused on the Zune screen, he shook his head. "That's considered either plagiarism, copyright infringement, both or…" Afterwards, he shrugged his shoulders.

"Doesn't P Diddy…Diddy…do that or whatever he's calling himself now?" questioned Sarah.

Chuck stopped staring at the Zune screen, lifted his head and briefly stared straight ahead. Afterwards, he turned his head and faced Sarah. "I honestly don't know. I do know he's well known for doing samples, covers, and mixes to other songs.

At that point, Sarah picked up her phone and started doing her own research. "I'll find out."

"Awesome," responded Chuck. "I'll be on the hunt for our song." he added, pointing to his Zune with his right index finger.

Sarah smiled after she heard that. For a brief moment while she sat there next to Chuck, she saw the determined focus on his face as he scrolled up and down his Zune's seemingly endless playlists of songs. It was adorably cute as he sat there next to her with his face illuminated from the light shining from the Zune screen. In her mind, her nerd is somewhat similar to a Harry Potter character who was not only considered focused, but a very feisty, as well as determined young woman. She had the penchant for being strong willed and took the initiative to face head on, as well as prove herself worthy that a mere muggle born wizard can get to or even surpass the next level of any challenge that stood before her.

The proud Potterhead recalled the moment of the 3rd Harry Potter film, The Prisoner of Azkaban, Hermoine seemingly appearing out of nowhere in Divination class taught by Professor Sybill Trelawney. Hermione's sudden presence startled Ron and Harry who questioned how she got there only for her to respond that she had been there the whole time. Of course, near the end of the movie it was revealed that Professor McGonagall provided Hermoine with a time turner in her 1st term at Hogwarts so that she would be able to attend all her classes for the year What was crazy was Dumbledore knew about it and it led to an unbelievable crazy situation that unfolded for Harry and Hermoine.

She shook that memory of the Harry Potter movie scene from her mind and refocused her attention back on what she was about to do. She focused on her phone this time, tapped Google, and researched the legalities of Diddy sampling songs from other recording artists. After 5 minutes of digging around in the interwebs Sarah reached over with her left hand without looking and repeatedly pushed her nerd's right shoulder.

"Babe…babe," The sound of Sarah's voice was a mixture of giddy excitement for what she found out and wanted to share with Chuck. "You're not going to believe this!"

Chuck couldn't help but break eye contact from his seemingly focused search after his left shoulder/arm was repeatedly pushed and slapped by his fiance. "What did you uncover, Lois Lane?" he humorously asked, in a sarcastic tone of voice.

"Do you remember doing the tribute song for Camden Willard?"

"Yeah," nodded Chuck. "I'll Be Missing You. It's something I've never forgotten." he added, with a somber tone in his voice.

"Neither have I." she softly retorted back. Afterwards, she reached over with her left hand and instead of repeatedly pushing and slapping his left arm, she gently rubbed in a comforting way. She knew how he and the Rockstar Rebel had a special bond between the two of them until his unfortunate passing that hit everyone hard, including Chuck. So, she gave him a bit of time before she slowly transitioned the situation back to the information she researched. "There was a $4 million lawsuit in 2002 by three songwriters because they never received royalties for the 1997 hit song that was based off of the Police's "Every Breath You Take". she shared. "The album "Now Way Out" sold over 5 million copies."

"Wow." he breathed out.

"Unfortunately," Sarah paused for a moment before she continued on. "According to Universal-MCA Publishing those 3 writers never saw or signed any documents that explained the label's royalty rules. They were completely unaware they would receive any royalties for their work."

"Is the lawsuit still going on?" wondered Chuck. "And what about Sting?" wondered Chuck.

Sarah continued her research but after a few moments, she shook her head. "Nothing about the lawsuit, BUT…" Sarah lifted her left index finger in the air a few inches away from Chuck. "Diddy had to pay $2K in royalties because he never asked permission from Sting to sample it."

"Not awesome," Chuck responded, shaking head. "And that song has been played a lot. It must feel good for Sting while doing a happy dance knowing he's being paid royalties from what Diddy did."

After he said that, Chuck suddenly stopped and furrowed his eyebrows. A seemingly serious look was expressed on his face, which Sarah noticed.

"Chuck," Sarah uttered, with concern in her voice. "What's wrong? What is it?"

At that point, Chuck was softly mumbling to himself. As for Sarah, she was able to make out a few words that he softly mumbled out like 'dancing', 'feel good', and quite surprisingly Morgan's name. In an adorably funny, and cute way, he sounded like a minion from Despicable Me. In any case, she was about to open her mouth to say something to him when he turned and faced her flashing his trademark toothy smile.

"I got our song."

When Sarah heard that, a soft smile was expressed. "What is it?"

"It's the song we danced to at the Hospital Gala." he softly replied, sticking the earphones they've shared back into the Zune. Sarah's smile grew even wider knowing that the song they danced was the beginning of something truly magical between the two of them at that particular moment in time. The setting, mood, and Michael Bublé on stage singing the song was absolutely perfect. "I made sure to download it when I got home that night. Plus, I reminded myself that if I forgot to add the song to the Zune playlist then I had Morgan do it."

Sarah grinned. "Thank you, Morgan," she softly breathed out.

A nod was given acknowledging what Sarah softly responded with. Afterwards, he placed the one of the earphones Chuck with Sarah into his left ear while she placed the other one in her right ear. They then laid comfortably back instead of sitting down on the blanket. The couple's heads rested comfortably back on two of the larger pillows as they listened to the beautiful rendition of "I'm Feeling Good" by Nina Simone.

While they continued to listen to the song, they gazed up into the starry filled night sky. As they laid there side by side, Chuck crossed his arms placing both his hands securely within his armpit area. Sarah was right there next to him looking absolutely content at where she was right now. After a few moments, the two of them closed their eyes and soaked in the seemingly perfect moment by taking a deep, satisfying breath together.

It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life for me, yeah
It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life for me, ooh

And I'm feeling good

It wasn't long before they opened their eyes and turned their heads to look at each other. When they did, Chuck uncrossed his arms and as he did Sarah lifted her head so that way she was able to curl up into him. Her head now rested on the area located within the crook of Chuck's neck while her left arm was draped over his upper torso. While she rested her head there, she felt a kiss on her forehead and it caused her to smile. That wasn't all. She slid her left leg in and comfortably nestled it between her nerd's legs. In that moment, the both of them were experiencing being in tune with each other and in an absolutely euphoric state mentally, emotionally, as well as physically.

Fish in the sea, you know how I feel
River running free, you know how I feel
Blossom on the tree, you know how I feel

It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life for me

I'm feeling good!

It didn't take long for Sarah to peer up at her fiancé and when she did there were a few strands of blonde hair partly covering the left side of her face. The soon to be husband of Sarah Walker took the opportunity and brushed those strands of blonde hair behind her left ear of what was partially covering up her beautiful face. Afterwards, they looked deeply into each other's eyes and the moment they did the world around simply stood still. The only sound that could be heard and what could be felt were the beating of their hearts for one another. A few seconds later, they pressed their lips together and as they kissed the song reached the final 3 words that put a stamp on how both of them were feeling at that very moment.

NOTE: I thoroughly enjoyed writing this chapter since there were requests for more Charah. So, there ya go. LOL. There were a few callbacks in this chapter with Casey as a former DJ from his time as a DJ in Vs. The Courgars. Plus, Chuck and Sarah listening to their song "Feeling Good" by Nina Simone at the end of Vs. The Honeymooners. However, I changed the location from their bedroom to laying on their beach. Anyways, leave a review and share your thoughts as they're considered the incentive for fanfic writers like myself to keep on writing. I tip my hat to you all!
