Unlike that insufferable brat, Niecalli loves Toci Lalpan. She is gentle and caring, spending her time patiently teaching Niecalli their ways. How to grow plants, how to play the ball game – Ulama, and the art of making jewelry.

"Just give it to him Nayeli." Toci Lalpan encourages. "He will love it."

Niecalli has spent the last week weaving Namor a necklace. And the week before that, searching for pearls to put in it.

"But he has lots of jewelry. Made of vibranium." She emphasizes. "How can my jewelry made of pearls compete with vibranium?!"

"Don't worry. He will love everything you give him."

"Here"

Namor sits in his cave when Niecalli throws something to his face. He raises his hand to catch it.

"What is it?"

"It's a pearl necklace."

"Yes I can see that. What is it for?"

"It's for you." Niecalli explains with a nonchalant shrug. She hasn't looked at Namor once since this whole interaction started. Her embarrassment is getting way too much to handle.

Namor stares at Niecalli and stands up, walking over to her. "I love it sister. Thank you." He says with a smile, as he crouches down.

Niecalli lets out an embarrassed 'hn', still not looking at Namor. His heart melts at the sight. "I love you atzintli." He says as he pulls her into a tight hug.

"Shut up." And hugs him back.

"Speaking of which…" Namor starts. "I forgot to mention since you weren't listening. But when we were fixing your arm we found something embedded in the muscle tissues of your wrist."

Niecalli stares at him in curiosity, waiting for him to continue.

"The doctors tried to remove it but every time they cut a muscle connecting to it, a new one reconnects. Like it's a part of your body."

"What is it?" She asks.

"A pearl."

Notes:

Atzintli = beloved water

Also, I don't think I will ever write about what Niecalli actually is, I feel like it will take away from it being a drabble fic. But I will put hints throughout the story and let you guys figure it out.
