Niecalli sits in Namor's cave minding her own business when Namor's voice takes her out of her thoughts.
"Sister. I have to show you something. Follow me."
"Where are we going?" Niecalli asks as she trails behind Namor. "What is it? Is it something I like? Can I eat it? Did you get m-"
"Calm down and just follow me." Namor shushes her.
Namor's cave is only a part of an entire cave system used by the Talokanils. The caves houses workshops and laboratories for experimenting with vibranium, welding and forging new weapons, and innovating new technology. They keep all things dry in here unless proven safe to have them wet. Plenty of vigilance is needed when introducing new technologies to an underwater civilization because bringing in one wrong thing might affect the entirety of the city with how extreme the environment is.
The pair walks deeper in the chamber and meanders into several passages before reaching their destination.
Niecalli looked around the cavern in awe. Tables and equipment are placed neatly, letting movement around the place flow naturally. Well,initially, but that flow is prevented by the heaps of scraps on the floor. Plenty of Talokanils are moving expertly to avoid the tools and gadgets. Clearly, used to all the junk littering the place, making the lab look like one big organized mess.
She has never been inside most of the cave system before mainly because it is prohibited by Namor and the cave is highly guarded by warriors.
"K'uk'ulkan. We finished it." The technologist walks up to Namor and hands him a small object.
"This was what I wanted to show you." Namor says as he lowers his hand to show Niecalli hexagon balls with the edges and vertices wrapped in green seaweed-looking vibranium and the middles of the balls glowing cyan. Looks like something is inside.
"What is it?"
"Come." Namor walks to a wide, empty, fabricated room inside a cavern. "Ready the simulation."
The door to the room locks as Niecalli watches her environment change into the surface. They are standing on a beach, a cliff in front of them with a body of water beside it.
"Watch."
Namor throws the hexagon balls towards the cliff and she watches it explode, letting out thousands of gallons of water. They take the cliff with them and demolish it into pieces, falling into the water beside it.
"WHAT WAS THAT?!"
"It's a new weapon we created. It's an explosive that releases high water at high pressures. I got this idea last time we trained together."
Namor slings his arm around Niecalli's shoulder. "So technically, your mistake helped make this weapon.
"We call it a water bomb."
