"T-that would be m-my teammates" Ash studders. Honey looks over at the Gang confused "That… is your gang? She asks "No offense, but they don't look like much" "Hey, I'll have you know we're a lot more capable than anyone we'll see in that tournament!" Feels says "Yeah, like green bean over there" Psycho says while pointing at Ash "he's got a Chaos Emerald that doesn't seem to want to get away from him" Honey looks over at Ash with a mix of confusion and interest "a Chaos Emerald, like the crazy powerful gems with the ability to turn you into a god once you collect all seven of them?" She said, Ash looked over at her puzzled "What?" He asks "The Chaos Emeralds, it's said that if you collect all seven of them, you will gain the ability to fly, gain supersonic speeds, and become nearly indestructible" Honey explains "Sorry to break it to you lady," Max says to Honey "But that's practically common knowledge since the blue hedgehog dude used them twice" Ash looks at Max "blue hedgehog?" Ash says, remembering when he met Sonic two days ago "yeah, what was his name again?" Feels says "Bionic? Felix? Chronic?" "Mr. Needlemouse?" Mach says" "Vincent" Psycho says "What? No," Feels says "His name ends with a C… oh forget it, lets get moving"
Meanwhile, Sharps complains to Psycho "If you had just put your damn seatbelt on, my windshield wouldn't be broken!" Sharps yells "Ay, don't worry about it," Psycho says while shrugging, he then holds his hand out to the car and closes his eyes. Just then, the windshield seemingly fixes itself "Right, I forgot you could do that" Sharps says "My power is limitless Sharps" Psycho says while chuckling "I can-" He is then cut off by Mach "Yeah yeah, we should get going" She says. Meanwhile, Honey is telling Ash more things about the Chaos Emeralds "It said that hidden on Angel Island, there exists a giant rainbow ring that can power up the Chaos emeralds" she says "Granting the user more power than seven super beings" Feels walks up to Ash, who is immersed in Honey's explanations about the Chaos Emeralds "Alright Ash, let's get going" he says. Ash waves goodbye to Honey before entering the building "You know I'm going in the building with you" Honey says to Ash "I'm part of the tournament" Ash nods. Ash, The Gang, and Honey give the robot at the entrance their invites "Welcome to the tournament of chaos," the robot said in a monotone voice. "Please proceed to the registration area to complete your entry." They enter the arena and see Sonic, Tails, Amy, Fang, Bean, Bark, Vector, Espio, Charmy, Mighty, and Ray there. Max and Sharps look at Sonic "Hey, ain't that the dude we were talking about outside?" Sharps asks Feels. "Sir or ma'am," the robot says "If you are not one of the participants, you can not enter through here" "Right, this is where we part ways for now Feels," Sharps says "Yeah, and I still don't remember the blue hedgehogs name," Feels says "Wait, I remember, his name was-" Suddenly, Knuckles barges in "SONIC THE HEDGEHOG!" Knuckles shouts as he barges in "Sir or ma'am" The robot says "If you are not one of the participants, you can not enter through here" Knuckles slams his invite into the robot's hand, causing the robot's wrist to break. Despite that, the robot still holds the invite, to which he scans "Welcome to the tournament of chaos," the robot said in the same monotone voice. "Please proceed to the registration area to complete your entry." Sharps slips by the robot as Knuckles approaches Sonic "After all this time," Knuckles says "It's been a month," Tails says quietly before letting Knuckle continue "I'll take my revenge for you beating me back on Angel Island!" "Well if I didn't beat you, the master emerald would have been stolen," Sonic says while crossing his arms "Please, I could have beaten Robotnik on my own," Knuckles says snarkily "Knux, after you got zapped by him, you were barely able to stand," Sonic says. Just then, a TV lowered down from the ceiling, and a somewhat distorted voice rings out from the TV "I'm sure all of you were having some pleasant conversations," Says the voice "But now that every one of the participants has entered the building, it's time I introduce myself to you all" A figure wearing a robotic mask and a black cloak "I am the host of the tournament, but you can call me The Glitch" The figure now known as The Glitch says "you all know why you are here, so instead of repeating the invites a gave all of you, I shall explain the rules;"
The Glitch goes down the list.
"Rule number one: No lethal weapons, we don't want a blood bath here. However, we will accept giant hammers." Rule number two: No holding back. Unless your opponent explicitly surrenders, you can engage in combat without restraint. However, be warned that intentionally breaking bones will result in disqualification. Rule number three: Do not engage in any unauthorized exploration within this building. There is no cause for suspicion, and we ask that you respect the boundaries set within the tournament grounds. These are the rules that must be adhered to throughout the tournament. Failure to comply may result in penalties or disqualification. Let the competition commence, and may the best contender emerge victorious!" The TV goes back into the ceiling, leaving everyone in silence until Sonic breaks it "Well then Knuckles, are you ready to get your butt kicked once more?" Sonic says snarkily. Knuckles chuckles "well see" Sonic and Knuckles shake hands before walking deeper into the arena along with everyone else. They walk through the hallway until they reach a lobby, everyone looks around the rather spacious lobby, a few vending machines line the walls, two of which stand near a snack bar, of which robots serve nachos, pretzels, and other things that would be found in a baseball stadium. The group sees another TV, which flickers on and shows The Glitch with his arms behind his back "Hello once again" says The Glitch "Down the left hallway are your rooms, they have fitted accordingly for your fur or quill color. It is also where the bathrooms are. To the right is the way to the arena and, by extension, the tournament. It is also where the janitor's closet and locker rooms are." The TV then flickers to a board with everyone's names on it "If you see your name on this board, you are going to fight the person whose name is next to yours" The Glitch says "For now, the names at the top of the list will be the person competing tomorrow" the names are as follows; Fang vs. Max, Mach vs. Amy, Honey vs. Sharps, Sonic vs Tails, Psycho vs. Bean, Mighty vs. Bark, Ray vs. Knuckles, Feels vs. Espio, and Vector vs. Charmy "With that out of the way, sleep well. You're gonna need the rest" The TV turns off. The combatants now talk amongst themselves "So, guess it's you and me buddy" Sonic says to Tails "Yeah, I'll finally show you just how strong I am" Tails says, energetically "But of course, may the best win" they shake hands, Sonic goes down the corridor and goes into the dark blue door with his name on it while Tails goes through the orange door with his name on it
"so, what makes you so special?" Fang asks Max "I can tolerate my gang," Max says "Well that ain't gonna help ya in the tourney mate," Fang says "I'm not your mate, buddy" Max says, bending down to Fang's height "and I'm not your buddy, mate" Fang says while standing on his toes to make himself taller. Max and Fang go down the corridor, Max goes through the brown door with his name on it while Fang goes through the purple door with his name on it.
"Do you think drums count as weapons?" Mach asks Amy "Huh, what do you mean?" Amy asks. Just then, Mach touches her necklace, causing a drum set to appear in front of her. Amy steps back in surprise "What the- how did you do that?" Amy asks "Where did you even get a necklace like that?" "To answer your first question, I touch my necklace and think about these drums and they just appear," Mach says "As for the second one, Psycho, the jester guy, gave me this necklace" "Uh-huh," Amy says, somewhat confused "can it do anything?" "you'll have to wait and find out," Mach says before unsummoning the drum set "Catch ya later" Mach and Amy walk down the corridor. Mach went through the taffy-colored door with her name on it. Amy goes through the pink door covered in hearts with her name on it.
"So, since the bird guy is gone, I'm gonna assume you're taking his place?" Honey asks Ash, Ash shrugs "What was the bird guy's name again?" "Sharps" says Psycho, who seemingly just appeared beside her. Honey jumps back in surprise "Do you do this to everyone you meet?!" Honey asks, loudly "Yep," Psycho says "Goodbye" Psycho then bends his body to where he can put his feet to his face, then he starts to eat himself, causing him to slowly appear next to Bean. Psycho eats himself completely, leaving him next to Bean, who claps in amazement while Honey is left in stunned silence "I-I'm just gonna go to my room now" Honey says awkwardly before walking down the corridor. Ash looks down at the Chaos Emerald he has had ever since he met Sonic "Maybe if I get the other six Chaos Emeralds, I'll be able to figure out what I am and what you are" Ash thinks before joining Honey walking down the corridor. Honey goes through the amber-colored door with her name on it. Ash goes through the sky-blue door with Sharp's name on it.
"This loony bin ain't big enough for the two of us" Bean says with a serious look on his face and a cowboy hat on his head "I couldn't agree with you more" Psycho says, now wearing a black and brown jester costume with a cowboy hat and old western boots. Wild West music plays in the background. "It's somewhere in between the morning and afternoon" says Psycho in a cowboy-like tone. The moment is then cut short when Knuckles takes the hat off of Bean's head "keeps your hands off of my hat" Knuckles says as he puts on his hat and walks over to Ray "Well that was short-lived" Psycho says before snapping his fingers, turning his costume back to normal and turning the cowboy hat on his head back into a jester hat "but I know I'm gonna be able to beat you in this tourney" "nah, ill win" Bean says as they walk down the corridor. Bean goes through the green door with his name on it. Psycho goes through the Blue and Yellow-striped door with his name on it.
"So, you're the tough guy of Team Hooligan, huh?" Mighty says. Bark looks down at Mighty but doesn't say anything "Strong but silent type huh?" Mighty says while crossing his arms "Well, I hope you hit hard enough to make up for the silence" Mighty walks down the corridor and goes through the dark red door with his name on it. Bark looks at Ray and gives him a death glare before walking down the corridor and through the sand-colored door.
Knuckles says, looking down at Ray "Uh… h-heya" Ray says, still shaken up by Bark's death glare "Listen here Squirrel" Knuckles says, threateningly "I'm only here to beat Sonic, so don't get in my way" Knuckles turns away from Ray "and by that, I mean forfeit once the round starts" Knuckles walks down the corridor and through the dark red door with Mighty's name on it, after looking around and seeing Mighty laying on the bed, Knuckles walks out of the room and goes through the bright red door with his name on it. Ray is left standing there in the lobby, thinking about what has gone down "I've only just gotten here" Ray thinks "I mean I can understand Bark since I did attack Bean, but the red dude? I don't even know his name" Ray shakily walks down the corridor and goes through the yellow door with his name on it.
"Well, after all this time," Charmy says, flying up so his eyes would meet Vector's "im finally gonna show you how strong i am!" Vector crosses his arms "Considering you were able to carry me, Espio, Mighty, and Knuckles pretty easily on our last adventure" Vector says "i feel like i already know how strong you are" Charmy scratches the back of his head "Hehe, I guess I am somewhat strong. but still, I dont want you going easy on me just because im 7 years old" he said before flying away, Vector chuckles to himself for a bit while shaking his head "I sense a lot of potential in him" Espio says, Vector rolls his eyes "whatever you say man" he says before walking away and to his room, Charmy when through the Yellow and Black striped door with his name on it while Vector when through the green door with his name on it.
Feels looks Espio in his eyes "A chameleon huh? That doesn't sound very threatening" Feels said with his arms crossed "I can assure you, kid, I am capable of a lot more than what you believe" Espio said "Yeah whatever, but just so you know, im not a kid, im 14 and I know how to use a knife" Feels says before patting his bowtie "that I just had to leave at home!" Feels angrily walks away as Espio simply just walks to his room. Feels goes through the lavender-colored door with his name on it while Espio goes through the purple door with his name on it.
With that, the lights turned off throughout the Baseball stadium.
