The fight is on, Fang rushes at Max and tries to right-hook him in the chest, but Max effortlessly dodges while keeping his hands in his pocket. Fang tries to swing at him again, but he dodges once more. No matter how hard Fang tries, he can't seem to land a hit on Max "Quit dodging ya bogan" Fang says while trying to roundhouse kick Max in the head "Oh? Where is all of the back talk now?" Max asks, antagonizing him. Fang swings right, Max tries to dodge, but Fang fakes the punch and swings with his left hand. Max takes one of his hands out of his pocket and catches his hand "Huh, that was pretty close" Max said before kicking Fang onto the ground. Fang uses his tail to bounce off of the ground and dropkicks Max, finally landing a hit on him "Take that ya bloody-" Fang says but is then cut off when Max takes his other hand out of his pocket to catch himself and flings himself at Fang, punching Fang in the stomach and knocking the wind out of him. Fang gets sent flying back 6 feet "So, you got the same kind of condition Feels has, eh?" Max says, taking a fighting stance. Fang wonders what he is talking about while trying to get his air back "What… the bloody hell… are you talking about?" Fang asks "I'll explain once this fight is over" Max says as he runs toward Fang. Fang falls back onto his tail and uses it to repel himself away from Max. Fang finally catches his breath "Come on" Fang said, antagonizing him. Max charges at Fang, who stands his ground. Max attempts to knock the air out of Fang again, but he dodges out of the way and elbows Max on the back. Fang waits for Max to get back up "Is that all you got?" Fang says, egging him on. Max gets back up and throws a punch at Fang, but Fang falls back onto his tail and kicks Max three times before kicking him a fourth time, sending him flying 3 feet away. Max lies face down on the ground, struggling to get back up. Just then, a little drone comes hovering down to them and hovers over Max "1… 2… 3…" the drone says, Fang turns away from Max "And that mate" Fang says, turning his head to look at Max "is how you fight" Fang turns his head away from him and bows to the audience "6… 7… 8" the drone continues. Suddenly, the drone stops counting. Fang turns around to look at the drone but is then punched in the face by Max "W-what the-" Fang says, weakly, but then is cut off when Max, at insanely fast speeds, elbows him in the forehead and, almost at the blink of an eye, Max kicks Fang in the back of his leg, making Fang fall over "you may be a great fighter but you forgot the number one rule of fighting" Max says, standing over the nearly unconscious Fang " 'never turn your back on your opponent' " the drone hovers over Fang "1… 2… 3… 4…" the drone said, "5… 6… 7… 8… 9… 10!" the crowd roars with cheers and claps. Fang looks up at Max, Max is holding his hand out towards Fang "You fought well" Max says, Fang slaps his hand away "I don't need your pity" Fang says while dusting his cowboy hat off. Fang walks away and towards the door and Max follows him, after a few minutes minute, he hasn't gotten any closer to the doors "Geez this is a long walk" Max said. Fang uses his tail to bounce himself towards the door. After a while, Fang returns to the lobby, where Bean and Bark meet him. "Dang Fang, that was awesome," Bean said "and even if you did lose, you still tried and you failed, moral of the story, never try" "Wow, real inspiring," Fang said "I'm only messing around Nack" Bean says, nudging Fang with his shoulder "don't call me that," Fang said "not a fan of that name" "yeah, me neither" Bean says, shrugging. Bark pats Fang on the back "Don't get all sappy with me" Fang said, trying to push Bark away, but due to Bark's size, Fang instead pushed himself away. Bark didn't care, the trio walked back over to their table. After a while, Max arrives in the lobby and sees Mach, Feels, Ash, and Psycho waiting for him "Dude, I haven't seen anyone dodge like that in my entire life" Mach says "How did you do that?" "I feel it would be easier to show people how to do it than tell them," Max says "You call that fast?" Psycho says "Check this out!" Psycho waves his hands around, causing the room to spin like a carousel "Psycho!" Mach yells, holding on to a perfectly still table "Stop this right now!"
Meanwhile, Vector looks around at the chaos "What's going on!?" Vector yells "The room is spinning!" Charmy said while floating in the air "But why aren't we moving?" Espio says, noticing how, despite the room spinning, they aren't being held affected by the G-force. Back to Psycho, who is still waving his hands. A familiar voice calmly calls out "Psycho," the voice said "I just snuck in here, I don't want to be dealing with your chaos right now" Psycho turns and looks at where the voice is coming from then stops spinning the room "Alright" Psycho says before walking to their table. Everyone turns to see who it is "Wait, Sharps?!" Mach shouted, Sharps covered her mouth "I'm trying not to get caught, now keep quiet" he said before uncovering her mouth "How did you get in here?" Max asks "Psycho's little trick he pulled made the robot outside freak out for a short while," Sharp says "So I took my chance and walked in" "That easily?" Mach says "They must not have had good security" "well here's a better question," Feels asks, confused and disoriented "why does he only listen to you?!" "Because I'm the boss" Sharps said before joining Psycho at the table. Feels gets up and dusts off his bowtie "Hey Ash, you alright?" Feels asks "Ash?" Feels look around. Meanwhile, Ash is inside the janitor's closet, he sped out of the room when it started spinning and hid there. Ash shivered in fear until the Chaos Emerald started softly glowing. This calms Ash down "I don't know where I am, I don't know what I am, and ive been thrown into this strange mess all because I don't know why I'm here" Ash thinks "I just want to be left alone" Ash curls up into a ball. Meanwhile, Feels is still looking for Ash "Ash?!" Feels says "Where did you go?" Feels looks over to the janitor's closet, he opens the door and sees Ash "Yo dude, you alright?" Feels asked "Psycho is a strange guy, but you get used to his tricks after a while" Ash looked up at Feels "No no, it's not th-that" Ash studders "I-I'm scared of… me, I feel like - d-don't belong, like I'm different" "dude, you're probably the most normal guy in our gang," Feels said "Mach can summon a drum set, Sharps is the only one Psycho listens too, Max has different colored eyes, Psycho is… well psycho, but you? All you have is a Chaos Emerald. You're just as weird as the rest of us, no one is perfect and we have to live with that" Ash understands what Feels is saying, but he knows that's not really what he meant. Ash gets up "Come on dude," Feels says "Let's go hang out with the rest of the guys" Feels and Ash leave the janitor's closet and go over to their table "Hey, where have you two been?" Mach asks "Ash was inside of the janitor closet, and he got scared by Psycho" "If he gets scared by me spinning a room," Psycho says "then I don't think we're gonna hang out much" Feels and Ash sits down at their table. Just then, Mighty, Ray, and Honey walk up to them "is it alright if we sit here?" Ray asks "our table kinda got flung into the wall when the room started spinning" they look over at the table they are talking about, the table is violently shaking inside of the wall while a group of robots are panicking while looking at it "oops," Psycho says while shrugging "must have forgotten to freeze that table" Mighty, Ray, and Honey "hold on, you guys are a gang, right?" Mighty asks "what's your gang name?" Sharps looks over at Mighty "we're the Geno Gang, the only reason why we're called that is because we're the only gang in Geno City" Sharps says "oh, so do you guys just do gang thing like robbing and theft for fun or because you're broke?" Ray says "well that's just rude" Sharps says, a bit annoyed "but yes, it's because we're broke" "well, why" Ray asks. Sharps slams his fist on the table "maybe you should stop asking dumb questions" Sharps said, threateningly "Sharps calm down" Feels said "he's just a kid, he doesn't know any better" "well he doesn't have to know a damn thing about me!" Sharps yells, leaving the table and going into his room. Everyone is left silent, Ray turns to Feels "Sorry for making your friend upset" "Nah, it's alright" Max said "It's a pretty sensitive topic for him, best not to talk about it" The group eats in silence for a while until the TV turns on "attention fighters," The Glitch says "it is time for the second fight, would Amy Rose and Mach T. Rabbit please make your way to the entrance of the arena" Mach stands up "well, see ya around Max" Mach says "you aint gonna be gone for long," Feels says "so you don't need to say goodbye" "well who knows, maybe I won't come back alive" Mach says, jokingly "heh, at least then something interesting will happen" Max said while shrugging "well something interesting will happen," Mach said, "that, of course, being me winning!"
Meanwhile, Amy picks up her hammer and gets up "Cya later Sonic, wish me luck!" she said, running off "How is she able to run like that so easily while carrying that thing?" Tails says to Sonic "Beats me" Sonic says while shrugging. Everyone but Sharps goes to the VIP area to watch the fight, Sharps goes to his nearly untouched room and the only thing to be touched is his bed. Sharps sees in the corner of his eye a slot machine. He stares at it briefly before banging on it "You took away our future!" Sharps yells "If not for you, me, Mach, and Max would have been a band by now!" Sharps stopped hitting it before sitting down on a nearby chair "Who the hell am I kidding?" Sharps said "It's my fault and my fault alone" Meanwhile, everyone was sitting in the VIP area, ready to watch the fight "Hey Vector?" Charmy asks "What were you doing looking over everyone?" "ive got a strange feeling about this tournament," Vector says "Come look at this" Charmy flies next to Vector and looks over everyone "What are we looking at?" Charmy asks "Look at all of the people below us," Vector says, pointing at everyone in the bleachers "Notice how they move, it's stiff" Charmy looks down at them "You're probably just seeing things," he says "they look fine to me" "yeah, you're probably right" near them, Mighty and Honey are talking to each other "don't you ever feel scared on living in a place called Geno City?" Mighty asks "It's two-letter switches away from sounding like genocide" "Well other than that birds little gang, not much happens in Geno City," Honey says "Even then, I can probably beat everyone here" "Doubt it," Mighty said. Honey chuckles "I was in The Fighting Vipers Tournament and I beat every last competitor" she says "One time I punched through a mountain to meet up with the Chaotix" Mighty says, kicking his feet up. Honey studders for a bit before going silent "If I win my fight, I'm gonna make sure I can fight you just so I can show how strong I am" Honey says "We'll see" Mighty says. Just then, the JumboTron turns on "Welcome to the second round of the tournament!" The Glitch announces "For this fight, we have Amy Rose the Hedgehog Vs Mach the Rabbit!" Amy slams her hammer into the ground and bounces into the middle of the arena, Mach simply runs into the arena. The drones then fly down next to them "Ready?!" The glitch shouts "FIGHT!"
