Authors Note: kept you waiting huh? Sorry for the wait, like I said in the last chapter I've been going through some things. But with that out of the way, here's the long-awaited chapter 7, this one is a lot shorter mainly because it focuses more on the fight.
Mach summons her drums set while Amy charges at her. Mach hits the medium tom on her drum set, causing a stone pillar to emerge. Amy gets flung into the air and lands on the ground "What in the- where did that come from?!" Amy shouts. Mach hits the medium tom, causing the stone pillar to crumble. Amy dodges the falling rocks and gets close enough to Mach to be able to hit her, Mach quickly hits the ride cymbal, causing a shockwave around her and knocking Amy away from her "If you think you're struggling now, just wait 'til the solo!" Mach shouts "Solo?" Amy asks "But there isn't anyone else playing, what are you talking abo-" Amy is cut off when Mach hits the crash cymbal, causing a bolt of lightning to shoot out in front of her, Amy dodges it and runs at Mach. Mach hits the high-hats cymbal, causing a stone pillar to lift her into the air "Oh come on!" Amy yells. Mach starts making a rhythm with the drums, causing more stone pillars to appear around Amy while rocks and lighting shoot at her.
Meanwhile, the rest of the competitors are looking down at the fight from the VIP area "I gotta admit, this Mach friend of yours is pretty strong" Sonic said to Feels "but Amy has been through a lot of her adventures, so it's only a matter of time until she can keep up with your friend" Feels then turns to Sonic "well, ill tell you this right now, Mach is a pretty tough lady, she might even be able to beat Amy without her drum set" Sonic chuckles "heh, we'll see about that" he said
Meanwhile, Amy was dodging bolts of lightning and rocks before hiding behind a pillar "This lady is nuts, I can't even get near her without risking getting hit" she said before peaking around the pillar, another pillar came up under Mach, raising her into the air. Thinking quickly, she jumped onto one of the much shorter pillars. She jumps off of the pillars and starts closing in on Mach. Mach hits her drums faster, making more pillars, rocks, and lighting come out faster. Amy dodges and weaves through the rock and lighting while smashing any pillars that get in her way with her hammer. Amy looks up at Mach "Sorry lady, but it's time to cancel your show!" Amy hits her hammer off of the ground, causing her to get shot into the air at Mach. Unfortunately, she doesn't reach the pillar Mach is on and starts falling, Amy looks around and sees the drone that has been following her, Amy lands on the drone and jumps off it, giving her a boost up, making her land on the pillar Mach is on. Mach goes to hit the crash cymbal, but Amy slams her hammer down, causing the pillar to come crumbling down. Once the pillar fully crumbled down, the rest of the pillars went back into the ground.
Feels and Sonic look down from the VIP area, looking for their friends. The drones fly around, searching for Amy and Mach, after a minute, Amy uses her hammer to bash her way through the rubble while helping a semi-unconscious Mach "We're ok!" Amy shouts. Sonic and Feels breathe a sigh of relief "I told ya she was strong" Sonic says to Feels "Yeah, but I'm just glad Mach made it out alive" Feels says. The drone near Mach and Amy starts counting down "1… 2… 3… 4…" the drone says. Mach flips onto her back "Well, I may not have won" Mach says, too tired to get up "but at least I put on one hell of a show" Amy looks down at Mach "You alright?" Amy asks, concerned "If there were anything broken on me, I'd probably be feeling it by now," Mach said, jokingly "Hey, sorry about doing that," Amy said, apologetically "I didn't want to be struck by lightning" "Nah, it's alright," Mach said "if I were you, I would have just hit me with the hammer, so I guess this is better" "8… 9… 10!" the drone says. The crowd starts cheering, Amy helps Mach up and they walk to the arena exit.
At the exit, Sonic, Tails, Feels, Psycho, and Max are waiting for them "Amy, that way great!" Sonic says, loudly "You must have been practicing, huh?" "ever since I met you," Amy said. Feels ran up to Mach and hugged her "Mach I am so so so so glad you're ok" Feels said, somewhat tearing up "Don't worry about it" Mach said "I've only got some bruises, if not for Amy catching me and using her hammer to hold everything up, I would be a pancake" Feels stops hugging her "I'm just gonna go to my room and rest" Mach says, stumbling away from the group "here, let me help" Amy said, putting Mach's arm around her shoulder "thanks" Mach said. Meanwhile, Sharps overheard the conversation and was able to piece together what happened, he sighed "Well, at least I know she's alright" he said. meanwhile, Ash was sitting at the Geno Gang's table and saw what was going on between the Geno Gang, he got up and walked over to Feels, who was wiping tears away from his eyes.
Ash waves at Feels "Oh, hey Ash," Feels says "A-are you alright?" Ash says "No, I'm fine" Feels says "Just a bit shaken up" Feels turns away from Ash "Mach is like an older sister to me," he says "If something were to happen to her and the rest of the Geno Gang, id be alone… again" Ash looks a bit confused "you said you never had friend, right?" Feels asks "So you probably don't get it" Ash looks down at his Chaos Emerald, and the Emerald glows. Just then, Ash starts to feel tired "I-I've gotta go" Ash says before running off, Feels watches Ash run off "What a strange guy," he says before walking over to the Geno Gang's table. Ash reaches Sharp's room and walks in, he sees Sharps in his room, looking upset "Hey Sh-Sharps, you alright?" Ash asks, Sharps turns to Ash "Please leave" he said "I-I want to help" Ash said "I like seeing people upset" Sharp sighed "Sorry kid" Sharps said "Unless you're able to win this tournament, there's nothing you can do to help us" Ash walks in and lays down on the bed "hey, can you get out of here?" Sharps asked, annoyed "S-sorry" Ash said before turning around and leaving his room. Ash goes to the janitor's closet and closes the door before falling asleep.
