King stared at the sun shining through his bedroom window, glaring at it.

"Curse you for waking me up." He muttered playfully.

He'd gotten used to this for keeping his curtains partially open most of the time. He'd really have to invest in some blackout curtains pretty soon.

As he headed outside his room, he noticed Purple's door already open.

Awake already? That's weird for him.

King stepped into the kitchen, noticing Purple sitting at the table, head in his arms.

"Your up early." He commented.

"Couldn't sleep." Purple grumbled tiredly.

Well, as uncommon as they were recently, it wasn't common for Purple to be awake because of a nightmare or something.

"Nightmare?"

"One of the reasons. Had another one of those stupid visions."

"Are you sure your okay?"

Purple finally looked up at him. "I don't even know anymore. I just keep getting plagued with the same vision over and over with me being under their stupid brainwashing or controlling spell or whatever they wanna do to me!"

"They're not gonna hurt you, I promise."

"I'm aware. Since according to Second, I kicked her ass."

"You probably did."

"Did not. I just disintegrated her with a laser."

That brought up all-too familiar memories. "Don't we all know that feeling."

Purple let his head fall back into his arms.

"Purple..."

"I'm fine."

"You sure?" King hated how much worry was coating his voice.

Then again, he was used to it.

"I'm fine." Purple shot him a reassuring smile.

Despite his doubts, King returned it.

"Someone finally got some sleep." Red noted as Second walked into the kitchen.

"Shut it. Your the one who won't let me put noise blocking foam pads in Green's room." Second grumbled.

"I had a really good song last night and needed to test the notes!" Green snapped from the table.

"Yeah, and I'm sure it wad loud enough where King and Purple heard it from Stick City!"

"I doubt it."

"Shut up, you green grape."

"So it's only fair we call Purple a red grape!" Green joked.

"If Purple heard that, I swear he'd be held back by King threatening to set you on fire."

"Damn it. Forgot he could do that."

"Of course you did."

Despite King's reassurances, Purple was still deathly quiet for most of the day.

He knew how badly the visions bother the child, especially once he figured out that he was basically up for murder and possibly becoming a puppet for some stupid plan.

Purple sat on the couch, stared intently at a wall for a while before King snapped him out of it.

"Hey, kid, you alright?"

"Huh-oh, yeah! Yeah, I'm fine."

"Your sure."

"Yes, King. I'm sure." Purple said it with such reassurance that it almost reminded him of Navy's casual tone in such dire situations.

That was how King knew they were related.

"Any visions creeping up?"

"No, why?"

"Well, you were staring at the wall, so I thought you were having one."

"I can't stare at a wall?"

"It was just a little bit concerning."

"A little bit? King, knowing your default emotions, it's more than just a little bit concerning."

"Well, okay, maybe it is more concerning than I think it should be, but you've just been acting off since you guys came back, so I'm just looking out for you."

"I know, it's just...something tells me Orchid didn't die in that battle, and that she's still out there, maybe in some submersion tank somewhere."

"Didn't you disintegrate her?" King asked.

"I hope we did," Purple's tone is softer, quieter. A clear sign Purple was upset about what could potentially happen in the future. "But...Night Shade would've probably wanted revenge, and there wasn't any way to prove that Orchid died, and...and I'm scared she's gonna come for me."

"Not while I'm around!" King snapped. "If she even tries putting a hand on my kid, rest assured I will find that second Minecraft block and destroy her!"

Purple shot him a glance that confirmed it wasn't helping.

"Purple, baby, your gonna be fine. Even if she is still alive, we have an entire city ready to beat her ass, you got your powers, we have The Chosen One and The Dark Lord on our side, and appearantly Second has powers, so we could probably take her out."

"That and you've got your stupid silly confidence in causing another massive, universe destroying laser that could've killed me."

"It was for a good reason, kid."

"Whatever." Purple lightly punched him. It made King happy to see Purple smile again.

A genuine smile, at least.

Something in Purple's head clicked, hearing a voice.

"Well, have fun figuring this out."

"Purple! Hey!"

Purple snapped his head back to King.

"You okay? You zoned out again."

"Yeah, I just...thought I heard something. It's nothing, really."

"Maybe that gut feeling you had earlier is right. We should get Chosen to help."

As much as Purple hated that idea, something told him it was a smart idea.

Standing up to follow King outside, Purple ignores the all-too familiar ear ringing and splitting headache and follows.

Chosen and Dark stepped downstairs after the color gang finished their bickering.

"Sounds like the five of you are already getting at each others throats." Dark quipped.

"Fuck off." Second grumbled, still tired.

"You sure you guys slept last night." Chosen asked.

"Stop being the older brother. You act like King."

"Kings a father to a child with a magnet inside of him that latches him to any and every sense of villainous trouble. "

"Hey, Cho?" Speak of the devil.

"King and Purple?" Yellow asked, puzzled.

"What are they doing here?" Green added.

The group stepped outside to meet King, holding the arms of a shaking Purple.

"Jesus, kid, you good?" Dark asked.

"He was just fine when we left, and we got closer to here and he started freaking out!"

"Is there anything in the area that could've upset him?!"

"Unless something's fucking with his head."

The group quickly started talking over each other over whatever the hell was wrong, barely noticing the voice filling the area's tense atmosphere until it overpowered their voices.

"What the hell-who is screaming?!" Second snapped.

The voice struck chords of familiarity in many of them mere seconds later.

"Your fight is only just beginning."

A blinding light filled the area.

"Everyone get down!" King screamed, pulling Purple to the ground as the others followed.

Once the brightness of the room died down, Second began asking questions. "Okay, what in Alan's name was that?!"

"Better question," Chosen said, helping Dark get back up. "Is everyone alright?"

"For the most part." Second answered, giving everyone a brief glance.

"King, Purple, you two alright?" Green asked.

"I'll go call Gold and the others. They might have an idea on what's going on." Blue said, running up inside.

"I...think we're okay." King answered.

"Purple? You alright?" Green asked in concern.

Purple looked a lot paler than before.

"Shit. Blue! Get some Regen and strength potions while your in there!" Yellow shouted.

"Purple? Purple, say something!" Red said, waving his hand in front of Purple's face.

It wasn't doing anything. Purple stared at where the blinding light once was, as silent as the dead, and paler than a sheet.

"Hey, hey! Purple!"

"Maybe that gut feeling was right after all..." King said to himself.

"What gut feeling?!" Red asked.

"Purple had a really bad feeling that Orchid survived that fight and might still be alive, and she and Night Shade are planning something." King explained.

"Well, he was probably right!" Dark exclaimed.

King, still holding Purple up by his arms, felt the child's body suddenly go limp.

"Purple?!"

King briefly let go for a second, and Purple fell to the ground.

"Shit!" Red backed up. "Blue! Healing potions!"

"I got them!" Yellow ran inside to grab the potions while everyone looked at each other with worry and one thought shared between them.

"I think Purple's gut feeling was right, King." Red said.
