The room falls into such a tense silence that Red's animals can be heard from three floors down.
All taking in Purple's quiet, but ground-breaking statement.
"...Your serious, right? Is he just...out of it entirely, or is he actually serious?" Green asked, looking at Fern in complete denial.
"I ran test after test on him, and they all came up with the same result. He has amnesia." Fern said sadly.
"No. You've got to be lying! Purple can't have amnesia!" King had just as much denial running through his blood as Green did, and nobody could believe something so blatant, but so out of reach.
Purple. Sweet, innocent, Purple, who had done nothing wrong in his entire life yet blamed himself for so many things.
This just couldn't be true.
"Fern. You can't be serious. We've been best friends since high school. You can't just put this on me."
"Well, I didn't expect you to have such a strong attachment to a child with such complicated family problems! Or have a kid in general, for that matter, after what happened to Gold."
"Fern."
"What, child?!"
"Do you understand how much this "child with such complicated family problems" MEANS to him?!" Green snapped. "How much hell King has put himself through so that Purple both stays safe, and has people that care about him!"
"So?!"
"Do you realize what his parents can do?! They could kill him! Use him as a puppet toy! And as if this isn't already world-shattering enough for him! Purple is going to die if we don't stop this, and that's going to be even worse for a guy who already had to watch Gold die in front of him, was almost completely engulfed in rage at himself if Purple had died back in the Nether, and if Navy hadn't let him go free...Purple would have died."
Fern stepped out of the room, leaving Green and King alone with the confused Purple.
"Oh, God...what are we going to do..?"
"Green, chill," Second reassured. "We'll figure something out. I promise."
"Hey, guys! There's a weird ass note out here!"
King and the others bolted out of the room, Second helping Purple follow them, and they all dashed outside.
Being met with a tab with a sinister note.
Your beloved child will soon join us in The Great Above, King.
"I'm sorry, the what?!" Second snapped.
"The hell is the great above?!" Blue added in just as much confusion.
"Guys, shut up so I can read it!" Sapphire screamed.
Once the amnesia spell has been complete, we will send for guards to retrieve the child and bring him to our base. Nobody and nothing will stop them or get in their way.
From there, the brainwashing spell will be placed into action, and the ascent to The Great Above will begin.
Though there was no signature at the bottom, they all knew exactly who it was from and what was about to happen.
Just as Sapphire finished reading the note, the widget opened, revealing four guards, decked out with weapons and capture tactics.
The others backed up.
"Shit."
Even with Purple having amnesia, King did everything in his power to protect him.
And despite Purple having no idea who he was right then and there, he went along with it, assuming the intruders were bad people who would hurt him.
Purple clung to King's arm, and he pushed down the feeling of happiness that Purple still trusted him. "What the hell do you want?!" He snapped at the guards.
"We're here for the child." A guard said, gesturing to the small kid clinging to King for dear life.
"No chance. Take him by force, or try, I don't care what you do. Your not getting my kid."
"Very well." The guards drew their weapons.
Yellow gestured for the sticks with powers to get ready for an attack, and grabbed the Command Block Staff.
Okay, did they have a plan or expect to be fighting off Navy's guards? No.
But, did they have the experience and the ability to hold them off? Most of them did.
But without Purple, the battle was going to be much harder to win without his powers.
And Chosen didn't have time to help him regain control of the power that was already hard enough to work with.
"King. Get Purple into the storage folder and away from the guards."
"Got it."
"Everyone else, hold them off so we can get Purple to safety."
"Right!"
Yellow swung first, launching a choke-hold command at the lead guards to hold him off. The guards, having obviously been trained beforehand, swiftly dodged each command Yellow shot at them.
"Jesus! These guys are strong!" He exclaimed.
"Navy must've equipped and trained them before sending them here," Fern said. "No wonder they're this strong!"
"They were never this experienced when we fought them off!" Blue snapped, kicking another guard away from him.
"Navy's thinking is smarter with his tactics. With how he's gotten his guards taken care of, keeping Purple from getting captured is gonna be so much harder!"
Green tackled another guard that had gotten past them to get to the folder. "Yellow! Can you equip the folder in a protection seal or something!"
Green's mind flashed back to when King had captured him after the scuffle with Purple before the battle. He had put a command on his cell before leaving, and he saw the tag, but he just had to remember what it was.
"Come on, Green. Think! Your best friend is on the line here!"
He suddenly remembered what had happened.
"Hey! Let me go! I know your just using Purple to take over Minecraft!" Green shouted as the taller figure tossed him into a cell.
King placed iron bars where Green had been thrown in and amplified them with an electrification command. "Let's see you stop me and Purple from destroying Minecraft."
Green snarled at him as he left.
"Yellow! Can you cover the storage folder in an electrification command!?" Green shouted, trying to hold the guard in place as he scrambled to tie him up with his fishing rod.
Yellow spared a glace at him as he tossed another guard aside. "I can try!"
With Blue and Second jumping in front to hold them off, Yellow aimed the command block for the storage folder.
"Please work." He pleaded to himself before shooting the command at the folder.
It zapped itself around the folder, and Yellow sighed, praying silently the guards didn't break it down.
"How did you even get past the barrier?" Red asked Green as he helped tie up a few of the guards they had taken out.
"Ender pearl and a piston." Green said bluntly. He glanced up at King and Purple, who were hiding in the folder, slightly relaxed knowing Yellow had a strong command around them.
King had shot them a glance, slightly admired that Yellow both knew stronger commands and was quite experienced with the staff, and that Green had remembered the command King had used originally.
Green silently cheered for their growth since this entire thing had begun.
Unfortunately, they had all drastically underestimated the strength and intelligence of Navy's new-and-improved guards, since they quickly took advantage of the two kids being distracted and cut through the thin material, tossed Red and Green aside, and began climbing up the folder like mindless zombies.
Green panicked for a moment before Yellow reassured him. "It's okay! We've got a barrier around them! It's gonna be fine!"
Yellow's optimism quickly fizzled when the guards began slamming their fists against the bars King had put so the command would actually work. Purple flinched every time.
"Someone do something!" Chosen shouted.
Dark flew up and snagged the ViraBand sitting on Second's windowsill and tried attacking the guards, but they just pushed him down.
"We're not gonna get there in time!" Green exclaimed.
"That's what they think!" Yellow shot a block of TNT at them.
"Yellow, wait!" Blue tried stopping him, but it was too late.
The TNT had broken straight through the bars, leaving the two open to an attack.
"Shit."
King didn't realize why the group was yelling until a flashing block joined the guards on the other side, and everything went to shit.
The guards were disorientated from the explosion, giving King a chance to grab Purple and escape.
That chance was cut short when one of the guards reached out through the smoke and snagged Purple.
"Shit!" King pulled against the guards grip, refusing to let go of the kid.
Don't let go don't let go don't let go-
The guard pulled hard enough to where King lost his balance, but didn't get to fall before Yellow caught him.
"Sir, we have secured the child!" One guard shouted.
"Excellent. Now, let's get out of here." Another added.
"Oh no you don't!" Red jumped up to the platform just as the guards filled the dissipating smoke from the TNT with more smoke from a smoke-bomb.
"Red, wait!" Green shouted.
Red didn't hear them before the smoke cleared.
And the entire group had vanished.
