"It's gonna be a fight to find Sunny. Knowing these guards, we cod be fighting Sunny at any point, so try to dodge the attacks and not hit any of them. If you think one of them is Sunny, attack them and rip their hood off. While me and Red fight them off, Willow is going to sneak into the lab next to this cell block and grab anything of use."
Purple may not have had his memories, but he seemed to know the layout of the base by heart.
Red silently theorized that Navy had changed the potions formula to make it so he could easily brainwash Purple if he needed to.
Perhaps Navy was making this easier on himself.
"How'd you think of something so fast?" Willow asked, clearly surprised by Purple's fast-gained knowledge.
"Not sure. Just seemed to know where everything is."
Red smirked. They had this in the bag.
Guards were vacant of the entire area, giving them all a chance to sneak onto the lab to find anything useful.
Willow had a vague idea of the kinds of potions Navy used to give him an advantage in almost anything. As if he was planning something much bigger.
"I think I found something." Willow held up a splash potion bottle with some weird color thay looked odd with the darkness.
"The fuck is that?" Red asked.
"It's some type of memory potion, I think." Willow said.
Red jumped up. "Give it!" He snatched the potion, and upon closer look, noticed it was a dark lavender color.
"Please work. Purple, brace yourself."
Purple blinked at him. "For what-"
"Willow, get down!" Red backed up a few feet before tossing the bottle.
Purple clouds filled the air, and Redsilently prayed for this to work and not attract any guards.
Explaining Willow was going to be the easiest part of the essay he could fill with a recap.
Once the smoke clouds cleared, Purple blinked. "The hell did I miss?"
"Purple?"
"Where are King and the others, and who is she?" Purple pointed at Willow.
"Purple! You got your memories back!" Red exclaimed.
"The fuck happened?"
"Navy happened." Willow grumbled from behind them."
"Figured."
"He erased your memories, sent guards after you, and here we are. This is Willow. She's an undercover spy for us." Red explained.
"Wow. I miss a lot."
"Not a lot, but quite a bit," Willow said. "But now that his memories are back, let's get out of here."
"We're going to what now?"
Dark had been very confused about the entire thing, knowing the consequences about going into people's memories. Breaking one thing could set off a chain reaction that could permanently change that person forever.
And seeing as they dodged a bullet the last time they went into Purple's memories, they couldn't take any chances.
"We're not going to mess anything up this time, Dark. It's not the end of the world." Second reassured.
"We barely dodged a bullet last time!" Dark snapped back. "Had King done one thing wrong, Purple would've been completely different! We can't risk changing anything!"
"And knowing Willow, Purple's probably got his memories back by now," Fern added. "So there really won't be a need to go into his memories."
"Except, there is," Chosen said. Everyone glanced at him.
"How?"
"Simple. Navy could find a way in there to cause some type of irreversible damage to Purple's mind and memories, so even if we did rescue him, he'd never be the same if Navy succeeded. So it would be a good idea to go into Purple's mind."
"That could be suicide, Chosen!"
"Would you rather keep Purple the way he is, or have Navy cause catastrophic damage that can never be reversed and have a completely different Purple?"
Dark contemplated his next move. "Fine. But what if Purple dies during this entire thing?"
"Won't be the first time, and knowing Navy's original plan, it won't be a permanent death," Yellow theorized. "He could use that to his advantage and just bring Purple back and use him as a puppet like he was going to before Purple murdered him and obliterated his wife right afterwards."
"Yellow does make a point. Purple's found numerous ways to dodge death quite a few times throughout this entire ordeal. If anything, Navy will just bring him back or he'll find a way to dodge death all over again." Blue added.
"They're right. Purple could get out of this alive. As long as Navy doesn't fuck anything up." Dark said.
"If Navy gets in there at all." Second said to himself.
He had a silent feeling in his gut that said Navy might already be causing damage right then and there, and they didn't realize it just yet.
The longer they went without contact with Red, the more worry about the group's well-being that filled the air.
Red sighed as they cleared another corridor. Purple was leading the way towards where the first confrontation between him and Orchid was, once again knowing the layout by heart.
Then again, only God knew how long Navy and the others had been working on this. And Purple had been in their clutches for over a month...
Purple probably had some vague ideas on what this base had in store.
"How many more corridors are we going through?!" Red groaned as Willow cleared another hallway.
"Depends. We've got about two more stories to clear before we get to the roof, so you do the math."
Red groaned again. There were dozens of these dumb corridors on each story.
God, this place was huge.
"Purple, is this place supposed to be built like a FUCKING CASTLE?!" Red shouted.
Purple stared at him, deadpan. "Yes."
Red, slightly surprised by Purple's blunt response, continued on. "O..kay.."
"I've seen the layout. I know how this place is supposed to be built."
Red silenced his next sentence, knowing it wouldn't do any good to fight with him. "Sure."
"Can you two please not argue?" Willow asked.
"And not draw guards attention? They're already probably wondering where we went, knowing I "still have amnesia" and they probably think Red's an idiot."
"That's sad." Red deadpanned.
"But mostly true. You've never set foot in this place in your life."
"Fair point."
"Shut up!" Purple whispered. "Your gonna get us caught!"
The trio fell eerily silent, listening to the approaching footsteps.
"Shit." Willow grabbed the two teenagers and threw them into a storage closet.
Donning her disguise, she glanced at the two. "Don't make a sound. I got this."
Red and Purple glanced at her, then each other. "Be careful."
They realized too late that they weren't in a storage closet.
"Well, isn't this a nice surprise!"
The lights turned on, startling Red and Purple for a moment.
"What the hell?"
"What's a nice surprise? Who said that?!"
"I did, of course!"
Purple recognized the voice instantly.
"Oh no, not him!"
"Night Shade, in the flesh!"
Red and Purple stared at each other, the same thought racing between their minds.
"Oh, shit."
