Nicole was an instant hit with the customers. Everyone thought she was beautiful, which she was. She had forgotten how beautiful she really was, due to how distracted she was with everything else, but today she was finally reminded, and she loved the feeling of it. Today was such a different day than the last few months have been. The dark and gloomy life she was living had been replaced by a fun and colorful cafe with beautiful women and delicious food, and customers delighted to see her. She could enjoy herself for the first time in forever, and have everybody at the restaurant give her tips whenever she served them. All of the other maids were friendly with her too, even if they were totally jealous. They all looked good in their outfits too, even though Nicole knew she was obviously the best looking one. She wished she had spent all her life in here instead of that stupid rainbow factory that took her time away from her kids. This job even had a better schedule, and Yuki would let her leave to pick up her kids from school whenever it was time. For now, she still had an hour left, and decided to continue enjoying it!
Around half an hour later, one of the maids told Nicole that Yuki wanted to speak with her. "Why doesn't she just come talk to me then?" Nicole asked. "She doesn't want to be seen, it makes the customers think she's prettier than she really is" the maid said. "She said that?" Nicole asked. "Of course not, but all of us maids know that's the reason" the maid told her. Nicole was upset to hear these things about her friend, but she knew Yuki would never look anywhere near as good as she did. Nicole pridefully started walking towards Yuki's office, and she heard the customers disappointment as she started leaving. Taking a moment to look back at them, she thought they deserved at least something more and gave them a sexy walk as she walked away. The applause brought the biggest smile her face had in over a year.
"Yuki, you wanted to see me?" Nicole said. "It's Mrs Yoshida" Yuki told her. "Oh, right!" Nicole said. Before she could do anything else, Yuki suddenly hugged her. "Nicole! You're gorgeous! Today was our most successful day of all time! I'll brag about this to my husband later tonight, I finally had a more successful work day than him!" Yuki said. Nicole was surprised, having no idea what to do. Yuki kept hugging her, even tighter. "Usually I pay my maids at the end of the week, but you've earned this!" Yuki said, and handed her a check of over 2,000. Nicole was stunned. This was more money in a single day than she usually earned at the rainbow factory in a week, and she even had the tips from her customers to make it better. "Mrs Yoshida, this- Thank you!" Nicole said. "Thank you Nicole! You better keep this up, you'll get promoted in no time!" Yuki told her. Nicole didn't even know there were promotions here, Yuki was the only person who wasn't just a standard maid. "I'll try my best!" Nicole said. "Now go pick up your kids from school, you've earned it!" Yuki told her.
Nicole got back into the changing booth and somberly started taking the maid outfit off. She had grown so attached to it in the past few hours, she didn't want to go back to her regular boring outfit, despite knowing she had to. The worst part was that she'd have to keep this a secret. She can't let her kids know her as a maid that makes money from being attractive in a fancy dress. She put on her regular boring clothes, and exited from the back door, not wanting to let her customers see her like this. She got in her car, and drove to school.
As Nicole waited inside her car, she heard the school bell ring and all the students start exiting. Anais was the first one of her children to leave, and she assumed Gumball and Darwin weren't far behind. "So how was school today?" Nicole said, way more cheerful than usual, which Anais picked up on. "Mom, did something happen? I've never seen you this happy before" Anais asked, and Nicole nodded smiling in response. "You got a job, right?" Anais said happily. "Yes!" Nicole excitedly told her. "Awesome! What is it?" Anais said, and suddenly Nicole started looking nervous. "It's... um... I can't tell you!" Nicole told her daughter. "What? Why not?" Anais asked. "It's embarrassing..." Nicole muttered. "Oh no, don't tell me you became one of those strippers!" Anais said. "What? Where did you learn that word?" Nicole asked. "Gumball taught me, only he had no idea what it meant and I looked up the meaning of it" Anais said. Nicole sighed. "No, it's not that. I'll tell you some other time" She said. Nicole saw Gumball and Darwin excitedly run towards the car. She hadn't seen them excited like this in forever. "Boys? What's gotten into you?" Nicole asked. "Mom, Masami invited us over to her house for tonight! Can we go, please?" Gumball said. She knew by the look on their faces she couldn't say no, despite the fact that Masami was the daughter of her previous boss and her new boss, and she didn't want to risk them finding out about her new job. "Sure, but take your sister with you" Nicole told them. "What?" All the children said at the same time. Nicole whispered something to Anais. "Don't let them hear anything about me getting fired, or about my new job, please!". "Why would Masami's parents say anything about your new job?" Anais whispered back, but Nicole didn't respond. "I've got some more work to do at the rainbow factory and can't leave Anais alone at home, could you please take her with you at Masami's house?" Nicole told her boys. "Alright mom, we'll take her along" Gumball said, looking a little disappointed, but still excited to go to his friends house. "Alright, have fun you guys!" Nicole said as her children walked off with Masami. Nicole drove off alone and got back home.
As soon as she got home, she felt empty again. Even more than usual. She neither had the exciting life she had in the maid cafe, nor her children to keep her company. She was just alone and couldn't find anything to distract herself. She went to the bathroom to take a shower, and started stripping her clothes off. She might not have her beautiful maid dress, but she could see in the mirror that she still looked gorgeous in her natural form. With a boost of confidence, she got in the shower and enjoyed washing herself, making her body as clean as possible to get herself ready for her next day of work. She was looking forward to her promotion, and to what she would spend the money on along with her kids. She finally had the solution to give them the life they deserved. She got out of the shower and dried herself with a towel, then got ready to put her clothes back on, before she stopped herself. She looked so beautiful naked, and she enjoyed it, why rid herself of that? She left the bathroom fully naked, and went to bed wearing nothing at all, and had the best sleep of her life.
Gumball and Darwin were at Masami's house, along with their sister Anais, who they didn't want to invite but had to anyways. They didn't dislike their sister of course, but just didn't want her around their friends. Anais didn't like being here either, as she wanted to get back to studying, but was doing what her mom asked her to do by not letting her siblings hear about any conversation Masami's parents might have about their mom. "Hey Anais, can you get me a glass of water?" Masami said. "It's your house!" Anais responded annoyed. "The glasses are in the cabinet on top of the oven!" Masami said. "Get one for me too Anais!" Darwin said, and so did Gumball. Anais sighed and went to the kitchen to start filling up their drinks, grabbing one for herself too. She could however hear some kind of conversation coming from another room in the house, and curiosity got the better of her. She followed the sound and started eavesdropping on a conversation between Masami's parents. "You made the right choice firing her!" Mrs Yoshida said. "But she was completely useless at my factory, how can she be such a good worker for you?" Ms Yoshida said. "Nicole is a maid! Not a worker! And she's a beautiful maid, a gorgeous one!" Mrs Yoshida defended her. Anais was shocked. So that's why Nicole didn't want her finding out. Anais had trouble picturing her mother as a maid, and tried her best not to. "She earned me the most customers I've ever gotten in a single day, and I'll reward her for it better than you ever did!" Mrs Yoshida told her husband. Anais decided to stop eavesdropping in case she got caught, and got back to getting water for everyone. "Hey, what took you so long?" Gumball said, focusing on the game he was playing instead of looking at her. In response, Anais poured his entire water cup on him. "Hey!" Gumball said angry, as everyone started laughing at him. Gumball got back to his game annoyed, as Anais gave everyone their water, and then drank her own as she sat down and continued watching her brothers play whatever game they were playing. She was at least happy that her mom was finally able to make some money for them, and was hopeful for the future.
