"Aw, are the weak little powerless sticks gonna try and stop me?" Night Shade teased.

"Fuck off. You're the reason we're all in this mess!" Red snapped.

"Oh, am I?"

"If you hadn't attacked us, Purple and the others would be perfectly fine!" Yellow added. "Hell, you're probably the reason the entire world's gone to shit!"

"Oh, am I now? Well then, I guess it won't be very hard to extract Purple's powers? Will that send the world into a panic spiral?"

"It will when I get my hands on you," King snarled. "Leave my son alone."

"Now why would I?"

"Because he had nothing to do with this until you morons brought him into it!"

"Oh, but he set the entire plan into motion, did he not?"

Green stepped forward. "You people know damn well this is not Purple's fault. Navy abandoned him and by sheer desperation, wanted his family back. And that got us here, so don't go blaming Purple for your guy's mistakes!"

"Well, if that kid had just been str-"

"Finish that sentence and I will not hesitate to drown you," King growled. "This is not on Purple, and it never was, and if you try to say otherwise, I swear to Alan, I will rip you to shreds, limb from limb."

Night Shade still wasn't fazed. "You really wanna try me?"

"Say one more bad thing about my kid, and I will beat you to death so fast you won't even see it."

The first encounter with Navy sent shivers across Red's body as he remembered it. This is eerily similar to that day.

Red finally let go of Purple's hand but maintained the strength to pull him away from Navy. The duo cowered in fear as Navy patched up the portal with cobblestone. Navy turned to face them.

"Oh, how I've waited for you, my son." Navy said. Purple maintained a strong look, knowing his father hadn't changed a bit.

"Then why'd you leave me and mom?" Purple spat, venom and hatred clear in his voice. Navy only chuckled.

"I left, because of you," Navy said. "You were too babyish to fight and ran crying to your mommy every time I punched you!" He laughed, his voice becoming intimidating.

Red stepped forward, his body shaking with rage at the dark blue figure. "YOU were too harsh on him. His mom was not! You can't treat your own son like this!" He snapped.

"Or, we could just settle this the easy way," Night Shade said. "I was originally supposed to be Purple's caretaker and guardian following Orchid's death, but I wasn't. Why was that, King Orange?"

Gold's death.

King's rise to power.

The Ender Dragon incident on the Mac.

Purple's desperation to be good enough.

Working for King.

The parkour incident.

The first Nether battle.

Note Block Universe.

The final Nether battle.

King's desperate attempt to make things right.

"You took the child away from us!" They snapped.

"Bullshit I did!" King snapped back. "Purple was long gone when you learned that you were supposed to care for him, and you didn't go searching for him or anything! Months pass, and suddenly the kid's alive and in my care! Hell, I doubt anyone who actually knew Navy would trust him with someone like you because maybe they'll think you're just as bad as that piece of shit that nobody here can actually call Purple's father!"

"You don't know how hard I tried to find that kid." Night Shade said darkly.

"And you don't know how hard I worked to give that kid an actual life that your dumb friends stole from him. I've tried really damn hard to make things right between me and him, and all you people want to do is ruin that and turn him into your dumb little puppet because Navy thought he wasn't good enough."

Night Shade was about to say something before King cut him off.

"Well guess what! He is good enough! And if you moronic assholes could open your damn eyes and actually see that, he wouldn't be out in the middle of the ocean, probably dead! I worked so fucking hard to make him believe he actually had people who cared about him, and now I'm about to lose him and that progress to some douchebags like you!"

"We only wanted what was best for him! And then you went and screwed that up with your dumb revenge plot!"

"Which was for a good reason!" Green intervened.

"I doubt that! For all I know, you caused your kid to die, and then went and did the same to Purple!"

King grabbed him by the neck with a look so dark Green and the others backed up another few feet. "It may have been me to blame for Purple's death, but there are four teenagers over there who can tell you I had no blame in Gold's death."

"See?! You blame yourself for Purple's death!"

"And I'll blame you for his death now if you don't stop this gray death shit. I love that kid too damn much and I'm going to lose him to some stone cold death plot that'll lead straight into a world domination plot that will catch up sooner or later."

"How would you know?" They spat.

"Because I fell into the same spiral. If not for Purple, and his gamble of friends he scraped up along the way, I would've destroyed Minecraft a long time ago."

"Bullshit."

"He's not wrong." Green piped up.

"Who asked you!?" Night Shade snapped.

"I did," King snapped back. "Now your going to stop this gray death shit and if it kills Purple, I promise you, I will burn your base to the fucking ground for laying a hand on my child. If you morons even try and harm my son in any way, and that means erasing his memories and brainwashing him into being your little puppet toy, I will hunt all three of you, take him back, and break every bone in your body and throw you off the base like a bunch of ragdolls." He growled.

Green and the others backed up another couple feet. Sure, they'd seen King mad, and crazy overprotective of Purple, but never this mad.

Holy shit, it scared them.

"What are you gonna do if we don't stop this? Fight me?"

"Trust me, I've got a gamble of teenagers and an entire city on my side. We can and will beat you to death." King said with a smirk.

"Well then," Night Shade said, breaking from King's death grip and flying into the air. "Bring it on."

Chosen flew up to match his level and started bombarding them with fireballs.

"Yellow! Command block staff!" King ordered. Yellow tossed the staff to him before donning a diamond sword.

"Alright, buddy, time for you to pay for hurting my kid." King growled.

"Night Shade! Orchid requests your immediate return to the base for Purple and The Dark Lord's power extraction ceremony!"

Everyone's movement paused hearing the request come through.

"I'll be there shortly." Was all that was said before Chosen attacked again, tackling him to the ground.

"You keep your hands away from my best friend."

Night Shade smirked. "Well, let's see how well that actually goes, now shall we?"

He launched everyone into a cliffside, trapping them in another forcefield.

"Let's see how long you guys last without learning about your friend's state?"

"You lay a hand on any of those three and I will rip you apart." King growled.

"Oh, will you?"

"Hell yeah I will."

"Well, let's put that to the test!"

"Night Shade! We've been informed of the trio's escape. We request your immediate return to assist Orchid in the search!"

"I'm currently keeping prisoners hostage. They could mean trouble in our plan."

"We're sending guards to your location to watch them. You assist Orchid."

"On it."

King and the others shared a horrified look.

"Well, let's see how long your friends can stay on the run, now shall we?"
