In a pristine technologically advanced city, people were going about their normal days as it became noon on this beautiful day. It remained serene until two young men came running down the street both laughing like mad men. One of the men was a young African American man with black hair that was in the style of dreadlocks with an undercut and the dreadlocks were partly tied back into a ponytail while two were on either side of his forehead. This young man was of a muscular build, 6ft 2in in height, and he wore a plain black t-shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes.
The other man was a young Caucasian man with light brown hair that was short with a fringe and two streaks of gray hair on his bangs. This young man was of a skinny build, 5ft 10in in height, and he wore an oversized orange pullover, black shorts and black running shoes. He also had four rings on the helix of his ear.
The two young men continued running with the African American man looking back and saying,"Can't believe you did that dude."
"I told you that I knew how to make a firework.",The Caucasian man said with a smile.
"I didn't think you'd make one that'd go off like that!"
"Okay, I may have added too much gun powder but it was awesome!"
The two continued running even as they heard sirens coming after them. They ran for as long as they could only stopping when a flying car, that had a royal blue and black coloring along with a siren on top, drove up in front of and landed in front of them. The two young men turned to run the opposite direction but were stopped by several more flying cars landing around them. The two let out defeated huffs and put their hands up as several officers (who wore royal blue knight like armor over a black undersuit with swords on their backs and futuristic pistols on their sides) approached them.
At a police station, the two young men sat in a holding cell together. The two sighed then the Caucasian man said,"Well this sucks."
"Yep, it really does.",The African American man replied while letting his hair down.
It was then that a Caucasian woman with half neck length hair which had bright red roots and a portion of her bangs were also bright red while the rest was black. This woman had no makeup on, a septum ring, two tattoos on her left arm and one on her right forearm, was of an average build but was rather busty, 5ft 3in in height, and she wore a black tank top that had a silver and red heart and skull design on the front, black skinny jeans and black converse. This woman also had four piercings in each ear, a nose piercing besides her septum ring, a silver chain necklace and a silver ring which had the design of an ouroboros.
"Uh oh.",The African American man said while his eyes widened.
A police officer came up to the young woman,"Ma'am, are you here for them?"
"Yeah, I own these two idiots.",The young woman said, having a New Jersey sounding accent.
"Hey Jordin.",The two young men said while nervously waving. Jordin glared at the two, her face being one of judgment, disappointment, and unamusement. The two young men nodded, then the Caucasian man said,"And my sister's not happy with us."
"Not happy at all.",Jordin said, her eyes never going away from the two young men.
Out elsewhere in the city in a busy shopping district, a man was walking through the district using a cane. This man was Caucasian with short black hair and wavy. This man was of a toned athletic build, was 6ft 2in in height, and wore a red dress shirt with his sleeves rolled up to his elbows under a black vest, black slacks and black dress shoes as well as a black fedora that had a single red stripe around it. This man's cane was primarily black with a silver grip in the shape of a crow's head having red jewels as eyes.
The man looked, having a friendly yet unnerving smirk on his face. The man then stopped once he had come across what appeared to be a security camera, looked at it, and had his eyes change so that now the whites were pitch black and his iris' were a fierce crimson. The man tipped his hat before continuing to walk.
On the other side of these cameras in an all white room sat an old man at a console, looking at a monitor that had the man in the fedora on it. This old man had short silver hair and a silver beard, was rather short in height, and he wore a white robe that had yellow accents on it over all white clothing. This old man glared at the monitor then he looked at a different monitor which was on a live feed of Jordin and the two young men walking out of a police station. The old man grunted, then he stood up, getting a pearl white walking stick to help him, and walked over to a small circular table that was in the center of a group of chairs.
The old man tapped his walking stick on the ground causing a metal container to appear on the table. He leaned down and pressed a button, causing the container to open up on top. Inside the container were three rather large rocks which were almost crystalline and were colored (from left to right: Pink, Red, Blue.)
Along with these rocks were three pistols that had animal head designs on both sides that extended to where the hammer would be. (From left to right: A pink shark with golden yellow eyes, a red hawk with a golden yellow beak and green eyes, and a blue wolf with red eyes.)
The old man nodded, then said in a gruff voice,"I had hoped that you all would never need to be used, but sadly it must happen."
The three rocks disappeared suddenly and the old man nodded before looking at the monitor with the trio and saying,"You three are the only hope we have against this threat."
Back with the trio, Jordin was now standing in front of the two young men with her arms crossed while they were rubbing their ears. She looked at the young black man,"Deino, explain what happened."
"Essentially, we were hanging out, Ethan made a firework that went off in the middle of the room.",Deino explained while putting his hands into his pockets.
Jordin looked at Ethan with a raised eyebrow that showed frustration.
"I was making it because I won the schematics and thought I could follow them perfectly.",Ethan said, trying to sound innocent.
Jordin hit Ethan on his head,"Last time ya did that, you ended up with a broken arm and a broken bike."
"That was when we were kids though."
"News Flash brother, you're still a kid.",Jordin chastised.
"No I'm not.",Ethan argued.
"Yes you are."
"No I'm not."
Ethan and Jordin continue to go back and forth, with it devolving into childish actions such as sticking their tongues out. Deino looked at the two then he saw something out of the corner of his eye and went over to a nearby bush and saw the three colored rocks on the ground near it. He raised an eyebrow and reached for the red one, picking it up.
"Hello, Deino, what are you doing over here?",Jordin asked as she and Ethan walked up to stand on either side of Deino. The siblings saw the rocks and picked them up (Ethan picked up the pink one while Jordin picked up the blue one.)
"Why are these colorful rocks here?",Jordin asked while moving the blue rock around in her hands.
"Maybe they're for some kids project? School did just start right?",Ethan said while shrugging.
"What kinda school project would need colored rocks?",Jordin questioned, turning her head to her brother.
"I don't know, but I don't hear you two making any guesses."
Deino rolled his eyes but then he gained a confused look as the rock in his hands began to radiate red aura before it disappeared. Jordin and Ethan's rocks did the same shortly after. The trio let out shocked yelps then Ethan looked around in a panic while Deino patted himself down.
"Where'd it go, where'd it go, WHERE DID THE ROCK GO?!",Ethan panicked.
"How am I supposed to know dude?!",Deino asked.
"Well you were the one to find them.",Jordin chimed while having a surprised expression on her face. She then glanced behind herself and saw the well dressed man walking by, but paid him little attention. The well dressed man stopped walking and he turned his head to Jordin, Deino, and Ethan, gaining an intrigued look.
"Excuse me,"the well dressed man said while stepping closer to the trio. "Might I ask what you three are doing?"
"What's it to ya?",Jordin said in a confrontational way.
"Jordin, don't be rude.",Ethan said, to which Jordin shrugged.
"No no, she is right to be suspicious. I am just a random man who has strolled up and asked a question.",The well dressed man said while putting a hand up. "My name is Corvus and I can see that you three have great potential in you. A potential which I can't have ruining my plans."
Deino's body language became that of being protective and prepared to fight as he said,"I get the feeling you're not offering a job."
"Heh heh, I'm afraid not.",Corvus responded while gaining an evil smirk. He then had red outlined black energy build up in his left hand while resting on his cane. Deino, Jordin, and Ethan gained astonished and scared looks as Corvus aimed his left hand at them.
Suddenly, a bright light enveloped the trio of youths before teleporting them away. Corvus had the energy on his left hand disappear while saying,"Of course he'd save them. My old enemy, Zenith."
Corvus then pulled out a deck of cards and selected one, which had a malformed humanoid monster on, before tossing it to the ground. The card became the malformed monster and roared before turning to Corvus. Corvus smirked, then said,"Wreak havoc on the Kingdom of Light."
The monster nodded, then charged towards some civilians.
Deino, Jordin and Ethan opened their eyes and were surprised to see that they were now in an all white room which had several bits of furniture, communications technology, and monitors scattered around it. Ethan spun in a circle before asking,"Where are we?"
"You are in my laboratory, which doubles as your base of operations.",The old man said, startling the three youths and making them turn to him, walking into the room. The old man made his way over to the trio and gave a friendly smile to them,"I am glad to see that the glares resonated with you all."
"Glares? What's a glare?",Ethan questioned.
"More importantly, who the heck are you and how did we end up here?",Jordin said while crossing her arms in a confrontational manner.
"I am Zenith and as for how you got here, that was my doing. Had to act fast or Corvus would have succeeded in ending you.",The old man, now known as Zenith, turned around and began walking towards the center of the room. Deino, Ethan and Jordin followed Zenith as Deino said,"Zenith? You mean the Zenith?!"
"Yes 'the Zenith'; I always hated how that became such a grand title for me.",Zenith replied.
"Someone mind explaining to me who this guy is?",Jordin asked.
"This guy is Zenith, the legendary hero of the Kingdom of Light. He's the one that saved us all from those monsters decades ago.",Deino explained with reverence and joy.
"Actually it was just one powerful monster, but the media wanted to spice it up and make it out to be more than necessary.",Zenith commented while stopping in front of the small table that was in the room's center. He knelt down and picked up the container from earlier and placed it on the table before pressing the button to open it.
Deino, Jordin and Ethan looked into the container and saw the guns then Ethan said,"Whoa, cool looking guns."
"I'm glad you like them, because they are now yours.",Zenith said with a wise grin.
All three youths looked at Zenith with shock then,"Ours?"
"Yes, yours. See the glares chose you three for a reason, that reason being that you all are destined to be protectors of the innocent and to stop Corvus' devious plans.",Zenith explained.
He pointed his walking stick at Jordin,"You, Jordin Amaranth, shall be Okamiraiden. Your strength and cunning shall help you greatly in the coming fight and you shall be the backbone of the team."
Zenith pointed his walking stick at Ethan,"You, Ethan Amaranth, shall be Samēraiden. Your speed and agility will be great assets and you will be the soul of the team."
Zenith pointed his walking stick at Deino,"And last but not least; you, Deino Oliva, shall be Takaraiden. Your courage and indomitable will shall guide you and the others. You shall be the team's leader and heart."
Deino gained a thoughtful expression while Zenith continued to speak,"I know that I have brought this to you rather suddenly, but you must understand that trying times are upon us and without you our home, the Kingdom of Light, shall be destroyed."
Ethan and Jordin looked at one another apprehensively. Deino, however, gained a determined look and he picked up the gun which had the hawk design on it. Ethan followed suit, picking up the gun with the shark design. Jordin hesitates but picked up the gun with the wolf design on it.
Zenith grinned proudly then he began explaining,"These guns are what you use to transform as well as fight. Don't worry about learning the ropes of them, the information should go to your head once you've first transformed. Which all you have to do is say Raiden Change and pull the trigger, would recommend doing this towards the sky."
"Raiden change then pull the trigger? Sounds easy enough.",Jordin said, giving her gun once over.
An alarm began blaring and a screen hovered in front of the group, showing video footage of the monster destroying a city block and killing many people and police officers. The three youths gasped while Zenith said,"He's begun his attack already."
"Go now, I will explain more once this monster is dealt with.",Zenith said before tapping his walking stick on the ground, making Deino, Jordin and Ethan disappear from where they stood.
At the destroyed city block, Deino, Jordin, and Ethan appeared behind a police barricade while the police were attempting to fight the monster. Jordin gasped, then said,"Oh god."
"They're getting slaughtered by that thing.",Ethan said with a somewhat fearful expression.
Deino stayed silent, his eyes only being on the few dead bodies he could see as well as some injured people. He gained a determined glare then he stepped up and said,"Raiden Change." while putting his gun into the air and pulling the trigger. This caused a bolt of red lightning to come out of the pistol, transform into a hawk, then fly down and collide with Deino's body.
Deino now stood in a red suit which was somewhat glossy in appearance. On his chest was red chest armor that was a slightly more saturated red than the undersuit, had a black lightning bolt badge/emblem on the right pectoral and was connected to two rounded shoulder pads that had black rims with the collar of the chest armor having a popped black collar as well. Deino's arm guards were red and had black hems at both the end of the forearm and the wrists. There was a piece of red armor on the top of the gloves, which were the same shade of red as the undersuit. Deino's boots were red and appeared somewhat armored while having black hems and black soles. On his waist was a belt that had a silver strap, a red lightning bolt shaped buckle and a silver rectangular card deck holder on the left side and a silver holster on the right side. Deino had a helmet on his head which was based around a hawk's head having some winged portions on the sides, a black visor that was in the shape of a stylized upside down triangle or v which was above a silver mouthplate, and a pair of scowling green eyes that were above the visor.
"TAKARAIDEN SANJOU!",Deino's pistol announced as his transformation ended.
Takaraiden looked at his new suit then he turned to Ethan and Jordin,"What are you guys waiting for? We gotta help these people."
Jordin hesitated but then shrugged and said,"Raiden Change."
Ethan gained an excited smile then he said,"Raiden Change."
Both siblings held their pistols into the air then pulled the triggers. Jordin's pistol shot out a blue lightning bolt that then changed into a wolf before running down to collide with her body. Ethan's pistol shot out a hot pink lightning bolt that then changed into a shark before darting down and colliding with Ethan's body.
Jordin's suit was like Deino's except it was blue in color while her armor was a glossy blue. Jordin's helmet was blue with two wolf ears at the top, a pair of glaring red eyes above a visor which gave off the appearance of a wolf's mouth and was above a silver mouthplate. Jordin's belt was like Deino's but had a blue bolt of lightning for the buckle instead of red. Jordin's suit and armor was also more feminine in nature.
"OKAMIRAIDEN SANJOU!",Jordin's pistol announced as her transformation finished.
Ethan's suit was like Deino's except it was pink including the gloves while the armor and boots were a glossy hot pink. Ethan's helmet was hot pink with a shark dorsal fin on the top, a pair of golden yellow eyes that were above a visor that was in the shape of an upside down triangle to give off a shark's mouth look. This visor was above a silver mouthplate. Ethan's belt was like Deino's except the buckle was hot pink instead of red.
"SAMĒRAIDEN SANJOU!",Ethan's pistol announced as his transformation finished.
The monster roared and moved towards the remaining police officers, who shot at it to no avail. It then stumbled back as it was shot several times. The officers gained confused expressions, even as Takaraiden, Okamiraiden and Samēraiden ran past them and towards the monster. Samēraiden stopped in his tracks though and turned to police officers to say,"You guys should get going, it's for the best."
Takaraiden ducked under a swipe of the monster's arm, then he shot it in the back three times. He then blocked a few attacks before kicking the monster in the chest. Takaraiden chuckled, then said,"Whoa, this feels great."
Takaraiden then narrowly dodged two punches before he jumped backwards, landing on the roof of a car.
Okamiraiden punched the monster twice then she jumped onto its back and punched its head several times. The monster roared in annoyance as it grabbed Okamiraiden by the leg and tossed her away from it. Okamiraiden managed to grab a piece of rebar and use it to stop herself while also spinning around to land on her feet. She chuckled in amusement,"This feels more than great, D. I've never been able to jump around like this."
Samēraiden kicked the monster several times in rapid succession then he shot the monster four times in the gut. He then yelped as he narrowly dodged two punches. Samēraiden roundhouse kicked the monster then he backed away while excitedly saying,"This is awesome!"
The monster growled then it was about to charge but suddenly, it was changed into a card and flew away. Takaraiden, Okamiraiden and Samēraiden let out surprised yells while saying,"Where'd it go?!"
Unbeknownst to the trio, Corvus sat on a roof that was two blocks away sipping some tea. He caught the card that the monster turned into, gaining a smirk as he caught it. Corvus then looked at the cards face while saying,"I won't hand them a win that easy."
Corvus' eyes changed briefly then he said,"Turns out I will need to use the information Xykor gave me."
Corvus stood up and began walking into a portal that he summoned.
