Persona 5 Royal Fanmake Gaston Arc Chapter 5
Escaping the Castle
Aqua and the drone girl known only by her last name Doorman begin to make a run for it, leaving Gaston…? locked in their form cell.
"Come on, we gotta look for a way out of here!" Doorman said. Aqua nods and comes to a gate and she hit it but it was locked. "It ain't opening?! Darn it! Let's try and find another way through!"
"Right, looks like we can jump the gap" Aqua said and the two jump over and keep going and find a broken bridge. "Time your jumps and we should make it across."
"Right." Doorman said nodding and the made it across "All that execution nosence…dammit! Was he being serious?" They come to another iron door that was locked "This won't open?! We really need an exit here! Is there another path we can take?"
Aqua looks and sees an open cell. "In here." They go in and see a hole in the wall of the cell "This way!" They move in
"Ah! My bag got stuck." Doorman said as she follows but managed to get it unstuck and the two keep going.
They emerge on the other side of the gate and run out the cell and down the path past a bridge to a hallway that goes right.
"Hey, hold up!" Doorman said and the hide by the wall and see two Hengemen guarding the way "Look! There's some guys in that chess themed armour over there. They'll probably call for backup if we try and take them on. We should go another way…"
"Good call." Aqua said nodding.
They head back and cross the bridge. "Is this a drawbridge?" Doorman asked.
"Looks like it" Aqua said looking at it
"The heck is all this?" Doorman asked. They move down to the way that goes left and she sees something "Hey, we have to hide!"
The two hide behind some crates and see two Hengemen running from the guarded way and goes to the direction of their former cells.
"Over there…They're looking for us, right?" Doorman asked
"No doubt there or will be once they let Gaston out" Aqua said.
"Bite me, I ain't playing along with this anymore!" Doorman said annoyed. "We gotta find a way out of this stupid place!" Aqua nods and the go through the left entry way and up a spiral stairway. "If this goes up, you think it leads to the exit."
"One way to find out" Aqua said running up.
They soon reach the top to some doors. Doorman pants and asked "I-Is this…the exit?! Hey, let's get the heck out of this place!" They open the doors and run in to find…another section of the dungeon. "Seriously…You've got to be joking…This ain't the exit?! What the heck is this place?!"
"Let's keep moving" Aqua said and the drone girl nods
The two move, but shortly stop and Doorman said "H-Hey…Look…" There in a cage hanging over the river was a figure that looked to be an armored people locked in them. "We really did hear people screaming…So we ain't the only ones who got captured! Is, uh…he okay?"
"I don't know, it's hard to tell from this distance" Aqua said concerned.
The two keep mong and see a drawbridge that was up making it uncrossable and a statue of Gaston. There seems to be no way to lower the bridge. They run past the drawbridge only to come to a dead end
"Another dead end…?" Doorman said shocked "Dammit! How are we supposed to get out of here?!"
"…Hey you there. Drone girl! Blue Hair! Look over here!" A boyish voice from the cell next to them said. They look and they see a bipedal white cat with a tail ring, yellow orange striped gloves also wearing a blue neckerchief and facemask.
"What is that thing?!" Doorman said jumping seeing the strange cat.
"You're not Hengemen soldiers of this castle, right?!" The Strange cat like creature asked worried "Get me out of here!" He points to the wall where a key hung from it "Look, the key's right there!"
"We're trying to get the heck out of here!" Doorman said to it suspicious. "I mean, you obviously look like an enemy too!"
"I'm locked up here, so how can I be your enemy?! Help me out!" The cat said to them both.
"Keep it down." Aqua said to both of them.
"I'm begging you; you have to help me!" The cat said to the two girls.
The two hear the sound of armour moving through the halls. Doorman said "They're catching up already!" She checks her phone "Dammit! There's still no service. Ain't there any way to connect someone outside?! How the robot hell do we get out?!"
"Hey you two!" The cat said smiling "You want to know where the exiti is? Let me out and I'll take you there. You don't want to get caught and executed, right?"
"Can you really help us get out of here?" Aqua asked him
"I never go back on my word!" The cat said to them.
Doorman was still suspicious and said to Aqua "This thing sounds like it's all talk…"
"If you two girls think you can get out on your own, then be my guest!" The cat said to them.
"What do we do?" Doorman asked Aqua in whisper. They then hear the armour movements getting closer. The drone girl looks at the cat and asked "Are you seriously not messing with us?!"
"If you don't hurry, they'll catch you." The cat just said simply.
"I don't think we have much of a choice, this is the best chance we got in getting out of here." Aqua said to the drone girl.
"F-Fine…" Doorman said sighing. She gets the keys and unlocks and open the cell.
"Ahhhh…Freedom tastes so good…" The cat said walking out and stretching.
"Now, where's the exit you monster cat?!" Doorman said to him.
"Don't call me a cat! I am Gatomon!" The cat said to her introducing himself.
"Shut up and hurry it up!" Doorman said to him "You wanna be locked up again?!"
"A-All right, sheesh!" Gatomon said wincing "Follow me and stay quiet!" He leads the way, and the two girls follow him.
We then come to Yor in the faculty office at Citadel Academy as she looks at the time, concerned about her new student's failure to show up currently.
"…It's fourth period already." Yor said looking at the time. "Vito said that Aqua left the house this morning. Should I contact the police troopers?" She sighs "No, that'll just be more of a hassle…" She sighs again. "What did I do to deserve all this?"
We come back to the weird castle where Aqua and Doorman follow the not a cat, cat creature Gatomon back to the raised drawbridge and Gaston statue and the cat examines the statue.
"What're you doing?" Doorman asked
"What does it look like I'm doing. I'm lowering this bridge." Gatomon told her. He looks at Aqua and said "You, Blue Hair. It seems like you pick up on things faster that Drone girl over here. Try checking around the mouth of this statue, alright?" He steps aside
"Okay." Aqua said and looks and sees that the mouth can be pulled open and she does so.
Soon as she does, the eyes glow and the drawbridge lowers allowing access to the otheside of the river.
Doorman looked shocked and said "How were we supposed to know to do that?!"
"Hmph, amateur." Gatomon said and adds "Come on, let's keep going!"
The three begin running down the halls to escape only to come face to face with a Hengemen who came out of a door.
"Ah! Dammit…it's them!" Doorman said panicking as she fell onto the floor at the sight. Aqua as if reacting by instincts gets into fight mode and her armour flashes onto her.
"Tch…You amateur!" Gatomon said as he bounces off of Doorman so he can join the fight. He said to the drone girl "Stay still!" He looks to Aqua "Hey you! You could fight, right?"
"I did it once so yeah" Aqua said nodding
"Then let's go!" Gatomon said he then looks up "Come…Zorro!"
Blue, white light bursts out from behind him and emerges was another figure, different from Arsene, this one looks more muscular, with the exception of its thighs and feet which look very similar to a human. He was in allalso has a large belt with a huge belt buckle shaped like a "Z." His yellow eyes come from his hat, and he has a long black mustatche. He wields a rapier. This was no doubt Zorro who Gatomon summoned. Zorro this the slash in the shape of a Z with his rapier to prove that.
"Y-You got one of those things, too?!" Doorman said surprised and a bit jealous not to have one herself. She then gasps as the Hengemen begins to transform.
"Hmph, we will promptly shut them up!" Gatomon said with a smirk.
The Hengemen turned into two beings a Crypt-dwelling Pyromaniac and a new one that looked to be a little imp flying demon wilding a curved sword known as Bedside Brute.
"Damn Shadows….they've taken up intercept positions!" Gatomon said looking at the enemy as he draws a Falchin like sword "Looks like it's not about capturing us anymore…There're out for blood! I'll back you up, so fight like your life depends on it! Let's go!"
"Right." Aqua said and attacks the imp with her Keyblade and did some damage to it.
"Hmph, I knew you were an amateur" Gatomon said with a smirk. "This is how you fight!" He then has Zorro go a Garu wind attack with badly hurts the Pyromaniac but knocks it off balance as well. He explained "Strike at an enemy's weakness to knock them down! Then use that opening to strike again!"
"I see." Aqua said nodding
"That is the most basic of basic's so remember it well!" Gatomon said "Now let's hurry and get through this!" He uses another Garu to finish the Pyromaniac.
"I will not let you leave!" The Bedside Brute said and strikes at Aqua injuring her.
"Ah! That hurt but I'm not out yet!" Aqua said and has Arsene use Eiha on it which finishes the fight.
With the fight over Gatomon smiles at Aqua and said "Not bad. Your Persona's pretty powerful."
"Persona?" Doorman asked confused "Are you talking about that came out of you guys like all demon or anime like?"
"Yeah." Gatomon said nodding "You saw how Blue Hair here ripped her armor face mask off when she summoned it, right? Well, everybody wears a mask deep with their heart. By removing that…"
Just then he was cut off as Aqua flashes in flames and was again in her regular school clothes.
"Huh? She turned back to normal…" Doorman said surprised.
"Hm, my guess is you don't have full control over your power yet." Gatomon said thinking "The transformation shouldn't normally dissolve like that. After all…"
"Ahhh! That's enough! This stuff makes absolutely no sense!" Doorman said annoyed.
"Can you not sit still and listen for once, Drone girl?!" Gatomon said annoyed.
"Don't call me Drone girl! My name is Uzi…" Doorman said revealing at last what her first name is.
"You know what, there's no time for me to lecture you!" Gatomon said "You wanna escape this place in one piece, right? Let's go! Oh but before that, here take some of these. Use them carefully, alright?" She gives Aqua some Medicine.
"Right got it." Aqua said putting them in her bag.
"Come on, we should hurry. It's not much further to the exit." Gatomon said and leads the way down the hall and up the stairs where they approach another raised drawbridge.
"Hold on a sec!" Uzi said stopping by a nearby cell and approaches it, in the cell was someone male, same age as them wearing a blue and white school sport uniform. "I feel like, I've seen what this guy's wearing before…Dammit! I'm too flustered! I am struggling to remember anything right now!"
"Come on, let's go!" Gatomon said.
"Hold on dammit!" Uzi said to him
"What is it? We need to go fast!" Gatomon told her.
"But…who are these guys?" Uzi asked concerned
"Do you really think you have time to worry about other people right now?!" Gatomon asked her serious. "Besides they're…"
"There!" A voice said and the group look to see the draw bridge lower and another Hengemen run across it to them.
"You should've have listened to me…!" Gatomon said annoyed.
"No choice now, we have to fight." Aqua said as her armour comes back on
"I'm glad you stick to your guns." Gatomon said smiling. The Hengemen transforms into two blue dressed fairies like creatures known as Beguiling Girl. "Looks like it's raring to go too!"
"Let's not disappoint." Aqua said and uses Arsene's new move Cleave on one of the fairies defeating it.
Gatomon uses Garu on the last one nearly defeating it. The Beguiling Girl tried to attack Aqua but she dodges the attack and tries to finish it with her keyblade but it dodges, Gatomon then comes in and defeats it ending the fight.
"All right! Let's get away before more show up!" Gatomon said as Aqua's clothes return to normal.
"Hold on, we can't just leave these guys here!" Uzi said to them both.
"You really don't get it do you? Ugh! There's no time to explain." Gatomon told her annoyed. "Listen I'm going, if you don't want to follow, be my guest!" With that he runs on ahead.
"Dammit…Fine let's go!" Uzi said annoyed at having to leave another prisoner behind.
"Let's hurry." Aqua said and they hurry after Gatomon.
They soon exit a door to some stairs. Gatomon explained "The entrance hall is right above here! The exit's close…Keep it up!"
They run up the stairs and arrive at the hall Aqua and Uzi first entered and go to the opposite of the room into a small hallway with two doors.
"We're here!" Gatomon said smiling.
"Finally! We're saved!" Uzi said smiling and goes to the door on the right and tries to open it, but it wouldn't budge "…It's not opening!" She then glares at Gatomon "Did you trick us, you jerk?!"
"Don't jump to conclusions! Over here!" Gatomon said and pushes open the door on the left and runs in.
"H-Hey, wait up!" Uzi said as she and Aqua follow into a small library but no where else to go it seemed. "Where are we supposed to get out from here?! There aren't even any windows!"
"Ugh, amateur…" Gatomon said shaking his head. "This is the most basic of basics."
Aqua looks around and sees something above the bookshelves a grated shaft. "You mean a ventilation shaft right?"
"That's right! As I thought, you're a natural at this." Gatomon said smiling "It leads all the way outside."
"I see…" Uzi said getting it. "They we just go to get that metallic mesh off!" She rushes and climbs the shelves and grabs the mesh "And a one, and a…" She pulls and the mesh is pulled off easily "Woah!" However she falls off the shelves with it and crashes onto the floor.
"Are you okay?!" Aqua asked
"Oww…Yeah." Uzi said getting up "Oh bite me! The enemy didn't hear us, did they?" She looks at the door "Seriously, we're finally getting out of here!"
"I suggest waiting on celebrating until you really do get out of here." Gatomon suggested to them. "Now get going."
"But…what about you?" Uzi asked concerned.
"I still have something I need to do here." Gatomon explained. "We're going our separate ways from here."
"Well then, thank you for your help." Aqua said bowing her head.
"Heh. You've got manners." Gatomon said smiling. "Be careful on your way." Aqua and Uzi nod and climb up the shelves and go through the ventilation shaft. The cat watches them and said to himself "Those two seem useful…Especially, the blue haired girl, if my judgement's right…"
We then come to Uzi and Aqua as they managed to return to the streets and they were normal with people passing by. Both ran so much to get away from the castle they were panting.
"Did we make it?" Uzi asked.
Aqua feels her phone buzz and pulls it out and the weird app spoke saying "You have returned to the real world. Welcome back."
"Huh? Returned?" Uzi said surprised and confused. "Does that mean we got away?"
"Probably I think." Aqua said thinking.
"Heh, I don't know what to think anymore…" Uzi said rubbing her head. "What was all that anyway? The castle, and Gaston, and that weird cat! The hell is going on?!"
"What's with the yelling?" A helmeted aggressive voice said and the two see two Scout troopers approach, one with a speeder bike, the one without the speeder was the one who spoke as he asked seeing them in black uniform with blue skirts "Are you both students of Citadel? So, you're cutting classes, huh?"
"Huh? No!" Uzi said shocked. "We were trying to get to school and we ended up at this weird castle!"
"…What?!" The aggressive Scout trooper said as he sighs annoyed "Hand over your bag. You better not be doing any robotic based drugs."
"Bite me! Why would you think that?!" Uzi said angered at the insulation.
"Hey, are you her friend?" The other Scout trooper asked Aqua, his voice being more timid then his partner.
"It's something like that." Aqua said in response.
"Then you should go to school" The timid Scout trooper said and points to Uzi "Take her with you."
"Like I'm trying to say…I don't know what's gong on either!" Uzi shouts out.
"We passed by Citadel on our way here." The aggressive Scout Trooper told them "There was nothing out of the ordinary with it. If you spout any more nonsense, I'll contact your school. Is that what you want?"
"Come on, say something!" Uzi said to Aqua.
"Let's just get going." Aqua said, she felt it was pointless to argue with the troopers, heck she lived it and even she finds it hard to believe.
"Uh, that's not what I meant…" Uzi said to her. She then sees Aqua heading in the direction of the school "W-wait a sce! Is that girl for real?!...Fine I'm going." She then follows Aqua.
Meanwhile we come to the SIU Director office where Tarkin sits at his desk, his two Law Trooper bodyguards presenting the latest reports.
"A Minster of Transport announcing his resignation…" Tarkin said and smirks chuckling looking to his bodyguards. "Seems things are going just as planned…"
"Yes sir, but there is still sort of…one thing or rather three things in our division that could undo what we're planning." One of the Law Troopers said.
"You're referring to Windblade and her two Law Troopers right...that does remind me." Tarkin said looking serious. He sighs "For now, it best to leave it be.
"Understood sir." The Law Troopers said nodding.
We come back to Aqua and Uzi who made it to school, but oddly enough instead of a castle, it was indeed the school this time.
"Is this for real…?" Uzi asked on shocked. "I'm positive we came the same way…What's going on here…?"
"That's exactly what I wanted to ask you." The school counsellor said walking up his arms crossed glaring. "We received an unfortunate call from the police troopers."
"That damn Scout trooper snitched on us after all!" Uzi said annoyed.
"Hmmm…It's rare not to see you alone." The Counsellor said looking at Aqua "Where were you both roaming around until this time?"
"Uh…. a ca-a castle?" Uzi said nervous.
"So, you have no intention of giving an honest answer?" The Counsellor asked.
"What's this about a 'castle'?" A familiar voice asked and walking up out the building was Gaston.
"Gaston?!" Uzi said shocked and surprised.
"You seem so carefree, Doorman." Gaston said to her. "Kind of a big difference from when you did morning practice for the Drone track team."
"Bite me! It's your fault that…" Uzi said angry.
"How dare you speak that way to Mr. LeGume!" The Counsellor yelled at Uzi. He said sighing "…There's sadly not much leeway left for you, you know Uzi?"
"But he was the one to provoke me!" Uzi told him.
"Do you really want to be expelled?!" The Counsellor asked her. "In any case, you'll have to explain yourself! Follow me!"
"What?! This is insane!" Uzi said in anger.
"Come on. I should have been more considerate, too." Gaston said to the counsellor smiling "Let's just say that we were both to blame."
"Well, if you say so…" The Counsellor said thinking. But he glares at Uzi and said "Still, you're coming with me. It's undeniable that you're extremely late."
"Fine…" Uzi said sighing.
Gaston looks at Aqua "By the way…you're that new transfer student, right? Aqua Strife?"
"Yes, that is right." Aqua said nodding and watches as Uzi leaves with the councillor, but the drone stops to glare at Gaston before continuing.
Gaston watches them leave looks at Aqua puzzled and asked "…Have we met somewhere?"
"I saw you give a girl a ride in your car, you offered me a lift too, but I refused." Aqua said to him.
"That's right…now I remember." Gaston said recalling it now. He then smiles and said "Well, since it's your first day I'll overlook this just for today, I can understand it probably was difficult moving to a new school under such circumstances."
His smile then turns to a glare as he said "I'm sure you've heard from principal Lionheart but cause any trouble and you'll be expelled. Understand?"
"I understand, I will try not to cause trouble." Aqua said to him.
"At any rate, hurry up and to the faculty office on the second floor. I'm sure Mrs. Forger's tired of waiting." Gaston said to her. He then smiles and added "Good luck trying to enjoy your new school life." He goes inside.
Aqua looks at him concerned, what did he mean by that?
We then flash forward back to present day as Aqua holds her head dealing with this truth serum messing with her head whether the beating she took played into it she doesn't know.
"The school turned into an old castle?" Windblade asked confused.
"A talking cat?" Jess also asked.
"Are you hallucinating from an overdose?" Jacob asked her annoyed "We won't put up with what you're saying if you're pulling our leg kid."
"I am telling you three all that happened honestly." Aqua said to him.
"What do you say Windblade?" Jacob asked.
Windblade checks the time. "I'm going to have you continue the story. Jess present the first file."
"Right." Jess said and works her holo pad "The one who received a 'calling card' from the Phantom Thieves was an Olympic medallist…" She brings up a picture of Gaston. "He was an alumnus from Citadel Academy, the PE teacher Gaston LeGume."
Windblade nods and said "It all came out in his confession. He was guilty of everything the abuse, the…violations…" She shudders recounting the confession interrogation
"What makes this odd was there should've been no connection between the two of you since you had just transferred." Jess explained.
"So, what we really want to know on top on how you did it, is why did you target him?" Windblade asked.
"It's a long explanation, so I will tell you later." Aqua said.
"That's unacceptable!" Jacob said slamming his fist on the table. "Do your best and recall it all!"
"Jacob calm down" Jess said. "She probably needs time."
"Yes…I promise as I continue my story, you'll learn why Gaston became our target." Aqua said.
"Alright…sorry this is all stressful." Jacob said "Continue the story, I'll get us some coffee."
"Make it quick" Windblade said and Jacob leaves. She looks to Aqua "Continue please."
Aqua nods and does her best to remember.
Well this is mostly where the Prologue ends actually and the real start to the Kamoshida arc begins but her we go ^^
