We come to the next part where Aqua tries to make it through the rest of the day without incident.

A Strange First Day
As Aqua walks into the school she sees a teacher in front of her who glares at her, this teacher was an older woman who was obese and had gray hair, squinty black eyes, red lips, pale skin. She wore yellow short-sleeved dress with white collar and waistband and pink diamonds all over it, both white petticoat and pearl earrings, pale black stockings, black heeled shoes, black pointed spectacles, whistle around her neck, pink bracelet on her right wrist, silver watch on her left wrist. She was Murial Finster.
"So, you're the hooligan transfer student." Miss Finster said to Aqua "Late on the first day, too. You like causing trouble for the school?"
"This is all a misunderstanding, I didn't intend to be late." Aqua said to her
"Hmph, excuses are useless." Miss Finster said not buying it "Do you even want to be reformed? I bet this is a good sign of what you'll be like here."
"Well, I should go to the Faculty Office and see Mrs Forger" Aqua said nodding.
"You better, I also expect you to pay attention in my classes hooligan" Miss Finster said and lets her pass.
As she walks the halls, she could see many of the students her eyeing her weary and whispering, she assumed it was because of her being this late, but it might be aware of who she was.
However, she also heard them singing praises about Gaston, also appears he had a lot of influence as she hears a teacher tell a student they couldn't recommend a different on to a particular college as they needed to prioritize volleyball team.
Aqua sighs as she arrives at the door to the faculty office. "Well…here goes nothing." She walks in and approaches Yor at her desk in the office. "Um…Mrs Forger."
Yor looks and sees Aqua and sighs "Unbelivable…Being over half a day late on your first day? Can you explain yourself?"
Aqua knowing the actual truth will be unbelievable she then said "Sorry, it's just my train was running late."
"It's lunchtime you know?" Yor said annoyed "You would've gotten here sooner if you had walked from your place. However, it's true the train schedules have been a mess due to the accident, but you're still way too late."
"I am really sorry" Aqua said to her.
"Will you pull yourself together? You were given fair warning yesterday." Yor told her firmly but then added "More importantly…I heard that you were caught along with that Doorman girl.
"What do you mean by 'that' Doorman girl?" Aqua asked confused.
Yor sighs and shakes her head "Don't get involved with her, okay? She's nothing but trouble." Her face softens as she adds "She wasn't like that when she was devoting her time to track and field through…Anyway. Break's almost over. Classes will end after fifth period today because of the subway accident. I'll have you introduce yourself when class resumes."
"I understand" Aqua said with a nod.
"Good, then follow me." Yor said and stands up and begins leading Aqua to the classroom Class 2-D. However, she stopped and said to Aqua concerned "By the way, when you introduce yourself…Be serious about it even if you're lying to the class, okay? Do NOT say anything unnecessary."
"I will Mrs." Aqua said and the resume walking passing two other female students.
They stopped and one who was sharp eared asked her friend "…You think that's her?"
"Huh? The one in the rumors?" The short haired female asked.
We come to Class 2-D where all of the class had gathered, and they see Aqua and begin to chatter and Aqua could hear them a bit.
"Being super late on her first day? She really is insane…" A well-behaved student whispered.
"She looks normal through…" A Brown-Haired student said observing.
"But she might slug us if we look her in the eye…" A Gaudy Male student states.
"Settle down." Yor said with a sigh, and everyone quiets down. "…Well, I'd like to introduce a transfer student: Aqua Strife. Today, we…had her attend from the afternoon on since she wasn't feeling well." She then looks at Aqua "All right, please say something to the class."
"It is really nice to meet you all." Aqua said to the class and bows respectfully.
"She seems quiet…but I bet when she loses it…" A Prim Female Student said.
"I mean, she was arrested for assault, right?" A Brown-Haired female student said.
"…Uhh, so…Your seat will be…Hmm…" Yor said looking around the room. She then points to an open seat "Over there. The one that's open. Sorry, but can the people nearby please share your textbooks with her for today?"
"This sucks…" The Brown-Haired female student said as her desk was right next to Aqua's.
Near the front a red and blue haired girl with glasses wearing a black hoodie, shorts, grey leggings with red and blue X on them, dark grey boots and by her desk was an Eevee backpack. She was also covered in bruises and bandages. She sighs sadly.
Aqua heads for her desk which was close to the row of windows. She then hears a female voice whisper "…Lies." Aqua looks to see the one who spoke it was in the desk in front of the one she was assigned; it was the blonde haired girl from before
"Wait…you're that girl…" Aqua said in a low voice. The girl however sighs and looks away. She goes to sit at her desk.
The Brown-Haired female student turns round to the girl behind her which was the Prim female student and said "…Did you catch that? Do those two know each other? Eww…Does that mean she may be into girls and hit on her before transferring here?"
"That means she's cheating on her with Mr. LeGume." The Prim Female student said. "Then again this is Rhodes we're talking about…"
"For real." The Brown-Haired female student said nodding "That side of the room is totally awful."
"Oh right! The volleyball rally's in two days…" Yor said to the class. "Everyone's just changed classes, so make sure you use that time to get to know each other."
Aqua was sort of relieved that she was one a equal term of the class sort of, but she doesn't feel like she really was.
"Well then, let's get class started." Yor said nodding. "Who's on duty today?"
A while later class was ending and the brused red and blue haired girl said "Everyone, please rise…"
Aqua then leaves the classroom but stops as she see the hallway change to that of a castle hallway and change back. She holds her head, what was that?
Yor comes out and sees Aqua holding her head and asked concerned "Hm? What's wrong?"
"Is this…a school?" Aqua asked shaking her head and looks at Yor.
Yor sighs and asked "Are you sure you're, okay? Also…it seems like people are already talking about you, but I'm not the one who told them."
"I thought everyone was giving me the side eye." Aqua said having noticed, but how do the students know about her past?
"I can't even catch a break…Why do I have to deal with this?" Yor said to herself concerned. "You should head straight home, without stopping by anywhere. Vito sounded pretty angry."
Aqua winces at that, she felt that would be the case. She will have to get her story straight to avoid Vito's wrath.
"Oh, and about Uzi. Don't get involved…" Yor began but then sees Uzi walking up to them. "Speak of the robot devil…What do you want? I heard the police troopers caught you cutting classes today."
Uzi sigh and said, "It was nothing."
"And you still refuse to take off your beanie hat while indoors too…" Yor added shaking her head.
"I am sorry about that." Uzi said to her. She walks up to Aqua and said in a low voice. "…I'll be waiting on the rooftop." With that she leaves.
"See? That's why I don't want you getting involved. Understood?" Yor said to Aqua.
"I do." Aqua said nodding.
Yor leaves for the faculty office. Before Aqua walks to the roof she sees coming up the stairs was Gaston and Principal Lionheart and overhears there conversation.
"Why did you allow a student like her to transfer here, Leo?" Gaston asked "She's already started associating with that Doorman girl. A student with a criminal record, and the culprit of an assault case." He shakes his head "At this rate, it'd be pointless how much I contribute to the school."
"Now don't be like that…" Leo said to him. "The school counts on you, Gaston. You are our star. Still, a steady build-up is necessary behind such brilliance as well."
Gaston shakes his head "…Your troubles never seem to end, do they, Principal Lionheart?" He then smiles "All right, I understand. I'll continue to do my best to answer your expectations of me."
The go their separate ways. Aqua sighs seems like she is walking on eggshells more so than she thought. Still she had to get to the roof as Uzi seemed eager to talk to her. She sees the bruised girl and approaches her.
"Huh?!" The bruised girl said surprised and was nervous "I-Is there something you want from me?"
"I was wondering where the rooftop is?" Aqua asked.
"But nobody's allowed up there…" The bruised girl said "I mean, uh…just go up those stairs and you'll get there."
"Thank you" Aqua said and decided to get a lay of the land first. She sees a girl with a swirly eye glasses and long black hair known as Carly
"Hmmm, what should I write about for the next paper?" Carly said to herself. "I wish there was a good topic out there…"
"Well, what about the transfer student?" Aqua suggests.
"Wah! What?!" Carly said shocked looking at Aqua "You're talking about the one at the center of all the rumors online? Alcohol, smoking, theft, violence…The teacher would never approve of such an article."
Aqua leaves puzzled, what the heck, who was spreading these false rumours about her and for what purpose other then to alienate her in this school.
As she walks she hears people talk about her, but some first years on the third floor talk about Uzi and about the track team that gone. No doubt she learned more about it.
As she approaches the stairs to the roof, she sees a male student with green eyes and blond short hair wearing the school uniform which had blue plants rather then a skirt. The boy was talking to a teacher. From the appearance he seemed to be a third year.
"By the way, thank you for volunteering to take care of the planters Adrien." The gentle teacher said.
"Oh, it's no trouble." The boy called Adrien said "I'm not sure I'm up to the task through…"
"Don't worry. You're being a huge help." The gentle teacher said. "Oh and I'll make sure the roof is unlocked for you…I imagine it's going to be a lot of work, but I'm sure you can handle it."
"Alright, I'll do my best! I'll go take a look at them later." Adrien said nodding and smiling and the two leave.
Aqua climbs up the stairs and approaches the door to the roof, there was an off-limits sign posted up but it was unlocked. She goes through and sees sitting on a chair was Uzi waiting.
Uzi looks up at her and said "…There you are." Aqua walks up to her and stops by some tables "Sorry for calling you up here like this. I bet Mrs Forger already told you stuff like 'don't get involved with her,' right?"
"Yeah, she told me you were trouble." Aqua said nodding.
"Heh, guess that means we're in the same boat" Uzi said with a nod "I heard you got a criminal record. Everyone is talking about it. I guess that explains why you were so gutsy."
"I was just doing what felt was right." Aqua said and sits on the table.
"…What was all that happened?" Uzi said thinking "You know, how we almost got killed at a castle…It wasn't a dream…right? You recall it all too as well, yeah?"
"Yeah, I remember it too" Aqua said nodding. "Clear as day."
"Well, just because both of us remember it, that doesn't mean much though…" Uzi said with a sigh. She then smiles leaning back in the chair. "I mean, even if it was a dream, you saved me from Gaston. So yeah…Thanks Aqua."
"You're welcome." Aqua said to her smiling.
"But man, that Gason we saw there…through that name you called him, Asmodeus is pretty fitting." Uzi said and explained "You probably don't know about it, but there are some rumours about him."
"You mean the guy we met earlier?" Aqua asked
"Yeah, the ripped human mophead." Uzi said nodding looking angry as they talk about him. "The jerk who was all full of himself at the castle. No one says anything against him because he's some medallist who took the volleyball team to nationals."
"The way Gaston was king of that castle felt crazy real cause of that…" Uzi added she then thinks "…I wonder if we can go back to that castle again…" She then stands up "Ugh, forget it. Must've all been a dream! I must be!"
Aqua thinks she wasn't sure it was a dream but it was unbelievable to say the least.
"Sorry to drag you out here like this. That's all I had to say." Uzi said to Aqua. She then smiles "You know, we migfht be pretty similar. I feel like we're going to get along just fine as 'freaks' and 'troublemakers'. You might already know but I'm Uzi Doorman." She offers her hand.
"I'm Aqua Strife." Aqua said and shakes Uzi's hand.
"I'll come talk if I see you around. Don't ignore me, all right?" Uzi said to her. "See you around." She then leaves for the exit.
Aqua sighs as she goes to the exit. She knew she was going to get a tongue lashing from Vito as she goes to head home.
Aqua luckily made it back without incident or delay but it was already night as she got back.
After she walks in, Vito glares at her from behind the counter and said "Hey, I got a call from the school. I heard you ditched half a day on your first day of school."
"I'm really sorry Vito, I didn't mean too." Aqua said looking down.
"Ugh, and here I was thinking you had it together this morning…" Vito said shaking his head arms crossed. He sighs and said "Look, I'll forgive you this one time but just behave yourself. One wrong step and your life is over. I can tell you what probation means from experience, but do you know what it means?"
"Yes, I do." Aqua said nodding.
"That's good." Vito said. Just then his phone rings and he answers "Hey, what's up?" He smiles as he said "…Yeah, I just closed up shop. I'll head over in half an hour, as promised."
Aqua wondered it was on the other end, a family member or some person he was dating. Seems he cared about the one on the other end with how he was smiling.
Vito looks at her and covers the mouth receiver and said "What're you standing around for? Get upstairs and go to bed already." He then gets back on the phone "…No, it's a guy. I just hired a part-timer."
Aqua shrugs and heads for the stairs, being called a part-timer was better then what most were calling her.
"Don't forget to lock the door and turn all the lights off, okay?" Vito said to Aqua. He then said on the phone "…Yeah, I'm leaving now. What? I just said she's just a part-timer…"
Aqua heads upstairs but was feeling drained. She changes into her Pyjamas and climbs into bed, she hoped the next day will go much smoother then today.
However, she felt like she was drifting through a void of chains and when she woke up, she was back in that cell in the Velvet Room.
"…About time you've come to." Galla said to Aqua as she sits up on the wooden bed. He then whacks the cell door with his pink blade "On your feet, inmate!"
"Okay, let me just get my bearings" Aqua groans as she stands up and goes to the cell door.
"Our master wishes to speak with you." Gardine told her calmly "It's for your own sake that you take his words to heart."
"First off, let's celebrate our reuninon." Yen Sid said with a smile. He then looks at Aqua and the girl felt his eyes were peering into her soul "Oh…? You've awakened to your powers and special ones at that."
"You referring to Arsene and what I got from him?" Aqua asked.
"Indeed I am." Yen Sid said nodding "Your rehabilitation can finally begin."
"Rehabilitation?" Aqua asked
"There is no need to understand it all for the time being." Yen Sid told her and said "You will be training the power of Persona, which you have awakened to. Personas are, in other words, a 'mask' an armour of the heart when confronting worldly matters. I have high expectations for you."
"Errr…what do you mean by that?" Aqua asked him concerned.
"There is no need to worry. You will learn when the time comes." Yen Sid said with a smile. "By the by…have you come to appreciate the Metaverse Navigator? Using it will allow you to come and go between reality and Palaces."
"Wait…Metaverse Navigator?" Aqua asked "Is that the weird app with the eye that keeps appearing on my phone?"
"Indeed." Yen Sid nodding "…I bestowed it to you as a means to train you as a thief."
"The Metaverse Navigator is a gift from our master!" Galla said to Aqua "You better take care in using it, Inmate!"
"Devote yourself to your training so that you may become a fine thief." Gardine added with a nod.
"Okay, I will do my best" Aqua said not sure fully how the thing works fully.
"It must be disheartening to make use of the Metaverse Navigator alone." Yen Sid told her. "Should there be others who would prove beneficial to you, I will grant it to them as well. This is all for you to grow as a most excellent thief…"
Aqua had a lot of questions but then the sound of a buzzing noise can be heard.
"Hmph, it's time" Galla said "Go back and enjoy whatever rest you might have…"
"Okay then, see you." Aqua said as she goes back to sleep.
This first day was the strangest and she feels her life is about to get more complicated and confusing.
What a first day, things are only going to get much strange from this point onward,
