Persona 5 Royal Fanmake Gaston Arc Chapter 13
The Incident
We come to Aqua returning home to LeBlanc and she walks in and sees Vito again on a stool doing the crossword.
Vito looks up and frowns saying "…You're late. Where have you been?"
"Yeah sorry…the trains were delayed." Aqua said rubbing her head.
"Don't give me any of those lies." Vito told her shaking his head "…By the way, you haven't begun to hang around any bad influences, have you?"
"Not at all, in fact I actually made a friend in fact." Aqua said smiling.
"I see, well they've got to be pretty strange to want to spend time with you." Vito said thinking. "Just make sure you're careful who your friends are. You don't want them ruining your life."
"I understand Vito" Aqua said with a nod
He yawns and checks his watch "Look at the time. Seriously, think about how I feel having to stay up here waiting for you."
"I understand, I'll try to get back on time" Aqua said and goes to her room.
"Hey, I'm leaving." Vito said to her getting up "In the future, like you said try not to come back so damn late, caphice?"
"I got it." Aqua said with a nod and heads upstairs.
Once in her room Aqua got dressed ready for bed and as she changed got a message from Uzi.
"So, what do you think about what Gatomon told us?" Uzi asked "I don't know if I get all that stuff about stealing desires…And Gaston's gonna turn like brain dead if we mess up, right?"
"I mean, sure I'm angry at him…But I don't know if I really want to kill the guy…" Uzi adds in.
"I agree, that is too far." Aqua messages.
"Agreed." Uzi messages "I mean maybe I'm just freaking out, but I don't want to end up a murderer cause of all this. Oh well…I'll try and see if I can come up with some other way tonight."
"Yeah, see you tomorrow." Aqua messages and goes to bed and thinks 'Stealing Gaston's distorted desires…Can we really do it?'
She decides to sleep on it and gets into bed and falls asleep.
The next day, Aqua was heading to school and again was behind two girls who began to talk, and she listens in.
"I can't believe Hina missed such an important meeting. I wonder what happened." An Anxious Volleyball Player said.
"Mr. LeGume asked to see her." A Worried Volleyball Player said "I've heard rumors about how the two of them stay late together…"
"I wonder what's going on…You don't think they're…?" The Anxious one said.
"Nah, it couldn't be…" The Worried one said. "Man, it's been nothing but bad news lately. I'm worried about the future…"
"Oh, that reminds me." The Anxious one said remembering "Apparently, a guest is coming to the school today. Some young guy I think…"
…Oh? Tell me more." The Worried one asked.
Aqua stopped listening as the conversation didn't interest her as she focuses on getting to school
We come to everyone in class, the current lesson was with Miss Finster who was in the middle of her lesson.
"So, I assume all of you little hooligans know about the separation of powers?" Miss Finster said "There are three branches in our government. The Galactic Senate is legislative, the Cabinet is executive, and the Supreme Court is judiciary."
"The division of power provides checks and balances, which ensures no one branch becomes unstoppable." Miss Finster continues.
Just then Aqua is surprised as Gatomon's head pokes out from the cubby in her desk and said to her "Have you made up you mind?"
"W-Wha…?" Aqua said in surprise and quietly.
"No matter how much thinking you do, there's only one option." Gatomon said to her "You'd be better off just listening to me."
"Why are you in there?" Aqua asked him.
Before Gatomon can answer Miss Finster looked around and said "Hm? Did I just hear a cat just now?"
The whole class looks around. Gatomon goes back into the desk and said "M-M-Meow!"
"Hm…I heard rumors a cat was on the grounds. Can it be somewhere nearby?" Miss Finster said curious but sees the students making a ruckus. "Settle down! We're in the middle of an important lesson!" She turns to the board.
Just then Aqua gets a message on her phone from Uzi saying "It's no use…I can't think of any other way…"
"Uzi, are you cutting class?" Aqua asked in a message back.
"I can't deal with all that right now." Uzi replied back "I mean, what're we gonna do about Gaston? Do we just got to go along with what that cat says? Ugh, that damn furball…"
Aqua puts her phone away while Gatomon sighs and said "If she only knew I'm reading this too…"
Suddenly a male student sitting at a desk by the door closest to the board looks out the window and stands up saying "Hey…What's that…?"
Miss Finster looks at him annoyed "Enough! This is a classroom!"
A gawking girl behind the previous student looks and gasped saying "Wait….She's going to jump!"
Everyone look and see from there classroom the roof of the PE Building and see standing on the edge a girl. One they knew and Penny confirms saying while standing up "Aoi…?"
"Hina…?" Alexis said standing up surprised.
Many of the students got out there seats and head out of the classroom to get a better look.
"Hey! Stay in your seats! Do not step foot outside of this room!" Miss Finster ordered on deaf ears, through she herself was concerned as well with what was happening.
Alexis runs out of the class room and Aqua follows. The blonde haired girl makes it to the window in time and sees Hina take that big move and steps off the building and falls to the ground below which was the Courtyard.
The students in the Classroom building on the second floor all gasp and scream. Alexis herself gasped and covered her mouth in shock at what happened, Hina fell from the building in order to take her own life. Miss Finster was just as shocked and disturbed but tried to maintain order and ordered the students back to their seats but to no gain, not that she blames them from seeing a shocking sight.
"No…why?" Alexis said in shocked "Hina…!" She then pushes past Aqua and hurries to the courtyard as fast as she can.
"This isn't good." Aqua said concerned.
Just then Uzi shows up and said "Hey! What's going on?!"
"Hina just jumped from the roof into the courtyard!" Aqua told her
"What?! We better head down to the courtyard ourselves!" Uzi said in shock.
Aqua nods and the two head down to the first floor and to the Courtyard door but it was completely blocked off.
"Th-The heck is this?!" Uzi said shocked "There's no way we're gonna get past all these goddamn people…Come on, let's try and go through the practise building!"
"Right" Aqua said nodding.
The two go and squeeze past people to the Practise Building and head down to its Courtyard entrance. Once their they see a teacher talking with another drone girl.
The Drone girl was taller then Uzi with yellow neon eyes and white silverish hair in twin-tails tied with black ribbons, has a black headband, with five sections of lights and a thin black tail ending in a large syringe, both containing a neon yellow liquid.
She appears to be wearing a short-sleeved dress with a belt sideways as well as strap buttons and pockets on the side with a bowie giving the appearance of a businesswoman and also a blue school skirt seems to be wearing knee high stockings giving off an anime schoolgirl approach and also wore an armband of the Student Council.
The Impatient teacher sighs and said "What a bother…You, J! Get the students back to their classroom! I'm going to the faculty office. I'd better warn everyone not to go online and talk about this, too…"
"What?!" The drone girl known simply as J said surprised "But who's going to explain the situation to the paramedics…? And what about tending to the victim?! There are more important matters it address!"
"I-It's going to be a huge problem for us if this turns into a scandal!" The Impatient teacher said, "And do keep in mind that class is currently in session…I'm certain you understand."
J looks down sighing and said "…Understood. I'll go notify the students outside…"
Aqua just hurries through the door with Uzi to the Courtyard. They managed to make it out and get through the sea of students with theire phones out recording to see Hina with the paramedics being put into a stretcher. Alexis was at the front watching.
"Class is still in session!" A panicking teacher said trying to maintain order.
"Hina!" Alexis said shocked and worried at Hina's state.
Uzi looks at all the other students with there phones and said in disgust "What the robot hell is wrong with these people?!"
A paramedic droid approaches the crowd and said, "We need someone to go with her…Are there any teachers around?"
"I-I'm not in charge of her class though…" The panicking teacher said.
"W-We should leave this to Principal Lionheart…" A Hesitant teacher said
"I'll go!" Alexis said stepping forward.
"Very well, please hurry!" The Paramedic droid said nodding.
Alexis goes and kneels down behind Hina who is still conscious and asked upset "Hina…Why?"
"Alexis…?" Hina said weakly and sad "I'm sorry. I…I can't take this…anymore…"
"Hina?" Alexis said looking down. The Hina whispered something to her that makes her look up surprised "…Huh? ...Gaston?!"
Hina grunts in pain as she begins to pass out from her injuries "Ngh…"
"No…Hina?!" Alexis said upset.
The Paramedic droids carefully load up Hina into the transport and Alexis gets in with them and they leave the school grounds.
Watching them Uzi looks serious and said "Vollyball team…"
"Return to your classrooms at once!" The Panicking teacher called out.
"Ah…Ah…" Penny said in shock and runs off but Aqua and Uzi noticed her quick exit.
"That girl…" Uzi said in a low voice. "Hey, wasn't Penny acting weird."
"Yeah, I'll bet she knows something." Aqua said nodding.
Uzi nods looking serious "…We're going to make her talk this time." With that she and Aqua go after Penny.
Just then Leo comes onto the scene worried and said "Teachers, return to your classroom for the time being! Please, do not let any students go home yet!"
We come to Uzi and Aqua who corner Penny in a conner by some lockers. Gatomon watches from above the lockers watching.
"That hurts!" Penny said to that.
"Why did you run off like that? Huh?!" Uzi demanded looking at her.
"I didn't run…" Penny said looking down.
Uzi slams her fist into the locker, making the red and blue haired girl jump as the drone says "She jumped and tried to kill herself!"
Penny scared said "…L-Leave me alone…"
"Penny tell us, do you know something?" Aqua asked softly.
"She's right!" Uzi said folding her arms. She then looks sympatheticly as she adds "We ain't trying to get you busted. We won't say you talked either!"
"Aoi…" Penny said looking down. She the clutches her head "She was called out by Mr. LeGume!"
"Wait what?!" Uzi said as she and Aqua were shocked.
"Gaston called her out?!" Aqua said in shock.
Penny nods and explaines "I was called by him a number of times too…to the teacher's room. It wasn't just me or Aoi either. He'd nominate someone when he was in a bad mood….and hit them."
"So, the physical punishment thing was for real…" Uzi said in anger.
"But yesterday, he called Aoi out of the blue." Penny explained further. "She didn't make any mistakes or anything…Mr LeGume seemed really irritated that day, so it must've been…worse than usual…"
"He didn't…!" Uzi said widen in shock.
Aqua's eyes widen at that and thought 'Could the reason for his anger be because of when Alexis refused to go to his place?'
Just then Uzi turns around and yelled in anger "That big jerkward!" With that she runs off
"Ah…" Penny said and she and Aqua give chase "I bet…Uzi's going to find Mr. LeGume…He is probably in the PE Faculty office on the second floor."
"Right let's go after her and stop her from making a mistake." Aqua said nodding.
The two go after Uzi to the second floor and see Uzi running into a room.
"She went into the PE Faculty office!" Penny points out "Let's hurry, we have to go after her."
"Yeah." Aqua said and the two run into the office where Gaston was indeed in there at his desk.
"…Huh?" Gaston said looking over his shoulder to see Uzi, Aqua and Penny. Gatomon has also snuck into the room and watches from a nearby table.
"You jerk! The robot hell did you do to that girl?!" Uzi yelled out at him in anger.
"What are you talking about?" Gaston said as he waves them off.
"Don't play dumb with me!" Uzi yells out and kicks a chair.
"That is enough!" Gaston said in anger turning to face them.
Penny looks down and said, "What you did…wasn't coaching…!"
Everyone looks at Penny and Gaston still annoyed asked "What did you say?"
"You…You ordered me to call Hina here…" Penny said clutching her head. "I can only imagine what you did to her…!"
Gaston still annoyed stands up from his chair and golds his arms saying "You're going on and on about things you have no proof of…Basically, you're simply making these claims because you can't be a regular on the team, right?"
"That's not what this is about…!" Penny said glaring at him.
"Even if it is exactly as you imagine if to be, hypothetically speaking…What can you do?" Gaston said to them. "We just received a call from a hospital. Hina's in a coma, and her chances of recovery are slim…How would someone like that make a statement?"
"No…" Aqua said as she, Uzi and Penny were shocked.
"There's no chance of her getting better, I hear…Ohhh, the poor girl." Gaston said as he feigned some hint of care.
"No…That can't be…" Penny said in shock.
"You goddamn…!" Uzi said in anger as she clenches her robotic fists.
"This again…?" Gaston said glaring at Uzi. He leans down to her face and said, "Does this mean we need to have yet another case of 'self-defence'?"
"Bite me and just shut your mouth!" Uzi said and goes to punch him but Aqua quickly reacts and grabs her arm. "Why're you stopping me…?!"
"Don't let him get you Uzi." Aqua told her.
"But still!" Uzi said as she yanks her arm back
Gaston stands up straight and looks at Aqua in surprise "Oh? You stopping her? What a surprise."
"I am nothing like those rumors claim me to be." Aqua said to him firmly.
Gaston smirks and said "There's no need to hold back. Why not attack me?..Ohhhh, you caaaaan't" He laughs a bit "But of course you can't"
The couch looks serious as he goes to sit at his desk and told them "Everyone present right now will be expelled. I'm reporting all of you at the next board meeting."
Everyone was shocked and Uzi said "Wha…"
"But why?!" Aqua said just as shocked.
"Plus, you can't make a decision like that…!" Penny told him.
Gaston turns to glare at them "Who would seriously consider what scum like you say? You threatened me too, Penny, so you're just as responsible."
"Huh…?" Penny said in confusion.
"To think you didn't know why I kept someone as talentless as you on the team." Gaston explained to her "You act like you're a victim, but you leaked her criminal reconds, didn't you?" He points to Aqua to indicate who he meant. "It's all over the internet, correct? How terrible.
"Penny…?" Uzi said in shock looking at her.
"You exposed my criminal record?" Aqua asked in shock.
"Indeed, she is useless in sports, but in terms of computer skills she is quite good." Gaston said with a sly smirk.
Penny falls to her knees and said sadly "He told me to do it. I had no choice…"
Gaston turns away to his work laughing evilly and then said serious "Now, are we finished here? You're all expelled! You're done for; your futures are mine to take. Now get out of my sight."
Uzi glares at Gaston working and clenches her fists in anger "I can't believe this jerk's getting away with this…!"
"Don't worry Uzi…he'll soon eat his words." Aqua said with a nod.
"Huh…?" Uzi said confused but then gets it "…Oh right. We have that!"
"Huh? Have you lost your minds?" Gaston said turning to them confused. He shakes his head and goes back to his work "You worthless kids aren't making any sense, but sure, go ahead and try. After all, you'll have plenty of time to kill until expulsion…"
Aqua and Uzi help Penny up and leave the room.
After separating from Penny, the two girls and Gatomon gather at the courtyard vending machines area to talk.
Uzi in anger slams her fist into the vending machine and said "We can't waste any time. We got to hurry up and go to that world and beat the stuffing out of that jerk!"
Gatomon then reminds her "…We're not beating him up. We're simply stealing his distorted desires. Can I assume that you've made up your minds about this about how he might suffer a mental shutdown?"
Uzi nods "…I have. Someone almost died because of him! I don't a damn what happened to him anymore!"
"And you?" Gatomon asked Aqua.
"There's no other way." Aqua said "If he expels me my will be over, so we have to do this regardless of the consequences."
"There you have it." Gatomon said nodding.
"By the way, is getting rid of a Palace hard?" Uzi asked Gatomon "You tried it before, right?"
Gatomon looks at her and asked "…When did I ever say that?"
"What…?" Uzi asked looking confused shocked "WHAT?! Were you just pretending to know?!"
"Is it true that you're getting expelled?" A voice said before Gatomon can answer, and they look to see Alexis there looking sad and concerned. "Everyone's talking about it…"
"That jerk is at it again!" Uzi said knowing that Gaston was spreading the word already on her, Aqua and Penny's fate. She looks at Alexis and asked "So you came all this way to tell us that?"
Alexis looks at them serious and determined and said "If you're going to deal with Gaston…let me in on it too."
"Wait what?!" Aqua said as she, Uzi and Gatomon were surprised.
"I can't just sit back and do nothing after what happened to Hina!" Alexis told them.
Uzi recovers from the shock and said "This has nothing to do with you…Don't butt your head into this…"
"But it does!" Alexis said "Hina's my…"
Uzi cuts her off and yelled "I said don't get in our way!"
Alexis taken aback by this but not looking happy runs off.
"I think that was a bit much" Aqua said.
"I agree, that was harsh" Gatomon said nodding.
"We can't take her somewhere like that…" Uzi said sighing, she only said it like that to keep Alexis safe.
"I hope she doesn't do anything too crazy." Gatomon said concerned. "As you two should know, women can be much bolder than men at times."
"We just got to hurry up and deal with Gaston." Uzi said firmly "Let's go already!"
"Right, let's go" Aqua said nodding.
The three made their way to the alleyway just outside the school ready to go.
"The moment we cross over, we'll treat each other like phantom thieves, so I hope you're ready." Gatomon said smiling.
"Huh? Phantom thieves?" Uzi asked confused.
"Those who covertly sneak in and stylishly steal Treasure that is what we become!" Gatomon explained smiling.
"Huh…not bad." Aqua said smiling.
"Yeah, that sounds kind of cool! Like being an Anime hero." Uzi said smiling "So we just got to say the school, Gaston's name, and…'castle'? Then we end up in wonderland." She gets her phone out and looks at the app "…How the heck does all this work? Someone make it?"
"Yeah, of course." Aqua said nodding thought not sure where to begin explaining about Yen Sid and the Velvet Room.
"Honestly, that's kind of creepy, but eh, seems useful enough." Uzi said shrugging. "We'll show that stupid Gaston!"
"Let's go!" Gatomon said as Aqua gets her phone out.
Unaware to the three watching them was Alexis who said in a low voice "They really are going to do something…They're doing something on their phone? A name…School?" Suddenly the world around her goes purple and darken "Huh…?!"
Soon the three were outside the Castle in their Phantom thief attires and Gatomon was his regular self.
"All right! Time to bust on through!" Uzi said spreading her wings
"What is this?!" A familiar voice yelled out in shock
The three surprised look and see Alexis running up to the castle looking at it in shock.
"A-Alexis?!" Uzi said in shock.
Alexis looks at them in shock and said "That voice….Uzi?! And…are you Aqua?!"
"Um…yeah…" Aqua said nodding.
"Wh-Wh-Why are you here?!" Uzi asked the blond-haired girl in shock.
"How should I know?!" Alexis said in confusion and looks around "What's going on? Where are we anyway?! Isn't this the school?!"
Gatomon looked infatuated with Alexis but shakes himself and said thinking "I see. Perhaps she was dragged in because of that app thing." He thinks "If multiple people can enter with the person who uses it, it stands to reason it'll pull anyone nearby."
"Wait, really?" Uzi said in shock.
Alexis, overhearing looks at them and asked, "Hang on, so THIS is related to Gaston?!"
"Doesn't matter, you have to leave!" Uzi told her.
"No!" Alexis said stubbornly.
"The Shadow Hengemen are going to find us if you make a scene." Gatomon told Alexis.
Alexis looked at Gatomon shocked and said "No way! It talked?! Oh my, is it some kind of Dual Monster cat?!"
"Monster…?" Gatomon said shocked.
Alexis looks serious and said "You better explain what's going on! I won't leave until you do!"
Uzi shakes her head and says to the group "Appears we have to force her. But…how've we supposed to do that?"
"Just take her back to where we came in." Gatomon suggested "That's how it worked last time, right?"
"O-Oh, yeah." Uzi said understanding and looks at Aqua "Can you leaned me a hand?"
"Um...okay, but I feel back…" Aqua said nodding
"We can't deal with Gaston if we don't!" Uzi said and Aqua nods and they look at Alexis
"What're you…" Alexis said concerned.
"We'll explain after everything's over!" Uzi said and approaches with Aqua and they grab Alexis to drag her out.
"H-Hey! A-And just where are you touch?!" Alexis said struggling.
"Whoops, sorry, I didn't mean…" Uzi said as she helped Aqua drag her out "That's not important!"
"Sorry about this Alexis" Aqua said to her
"You two seriously…" Alexis got out before she was pushed though the exit back to the real world. "Ah?!"
After that the three sigh in relief and Uzi said "We better be careful from no on when we use that app…"
"You should've checked the tools you used!" Gatomon told them "Why do I the one who was just watching know more about it than you two?!"
"We're still new to this" Aqua said.
"Also, sh-Shutup!" Uzi said to him. "But geez, Alexis found out right when we were starting off…We have to deal with this fast!"
"That girl's name is Alexis Rhodes, right?" Gatomon asked and Aqua nods. He thinks and said "Lady Alexis…" The group move and look at the entrance and Gatomon said "The Shadow Hengemen have noticed us. You better brace yourselves, got it?" He then looks to Aqua and said smiling "We're counting on you, Waterwave!"
"Waterwave? That a nickname?" Uzi asked confused.
"Don't refer to it in such a lame way. It's a code name." Gatomon said to her. "What kind of stupid phantom thief would use their real name?! I'm not down for that! And there's no telling what kind of effect yelling our real names will have on the Palace…It's only a precaution."
"So, uh, why's she Waterwave?" Uzi asked.
"Because she is our secret weapon coming out like a wave of water when it comes to fighting strength." Gatomon explained.
"Hmmmm…Not bad" Aqua said nodding.
"It's settled then!" Gatomon said smiling and looks at Uzi "Next up is you, Uzi. You'll be…Let's see…" He looks her up and down "Freak."
"Are you trying to pick a fight with me?!" Uzi said glaring not liking the name "I'll choose it myself!" She thinks "Hm…When it comes to me, it's gotta be this mask, but more how it's made rather then the skull look. I honestly kind of like the way it's designed. What if we named me after this?"
"Alright…Why not 'Circuit' then?" Gatomon asked.
"Ooh! That's amazing! I'm Circuit!" Uzi said smiling. Then she asked Aqua "That about this one's code name?"
"What do you think Uzi?" Aqua asked.
"How about Gaon?" Uzi suggested.
"Sounds good." Aqua said nodding.
"Well, if Aqua thinks it's easier to call me that, then I'll go with it." Gatomon said nodding. "All right. From here on out, we're Waterwave, Circuit and Gaon. We need to be absolutely thorough about using those code names from now on!"
"Alright! Time to go steal this Treasure thing!" Uzi said with a smile. "Let's make a dash for it!"
"Right!" Aqua said nodding as three go running for the air vent to sneak in.
Codenames set and now onto the infiltration, but what will happen when Alexis reveals she too can cross into this other world?
