Beautiful Star
Chapter 3
Third Person
Charlie sat in his car dreading the conversation he knew he was going to have to have with his daughter. After Renee called him, he rushed home knowing what awaited him. Knowing that they could no longer hide from the truth. As he sat there, Charlie thought back to the day he met Renee.
Flashback New Orleans 1980's
There was a bustle of energy in the French Quarter tonight. The witches were celebrating and the werewolves were also celebrating. It was the first time that the two factions were actually doing something together.
The two factions have always been at odds, but today they were celebrating the little things. They were celebrating the vampires allowing them into the French Quarter. The vampires have always had control of the quarter but today the witches and wolves took part of it back.
Charlie laughed as the witches danced in joy. His eyes caught the piercing blue eyes of one of the witches and his heart just melted. The way she smiled and laughed with her whole heart. Her captivating smile just pulled him in. He had to know who this young witch was.
Charlie could hear his friends calling for him, and let the guide him into the nearest bar so they could all get a drink. His thoughts continuing to drift back to the brown haired, blue eyed young witch.
It was later that night that Charlie saw the blue eyed witch that was captivating his thoughts. She was sitting at the bar by herself watching as the rest of her friends were dancing.
He decided that if he was going to talk to her now was the time. He got up from his seat and walked over to her. He quickly got the bartender's attention.
"Can I have a Miller Light?" He asked the bartender. He turned toward the young witch. "It's nice that the witches and wolves are finally getting along." He stated.
"Yeah it is," she agreed. "Maybe it means things are finally changing."
Charlie chuckled before saying "A change would definitely be good for the French Quarter. I'm Charlie by the way."
"I'm Renee," said smiling at him.
End Flashback
They had spent the rest of the night talking, neither of them caring about the other's supernatural faction. It was almost like something had pulled the two together. The two loved each other despite the fact that they came from different factions. He didn't care that she was a witch. He was enticed by her presence and her personality.
Charlie was brought back to reality with the slamming of a door. Bella was coming out of the house with a piece of paper in her hand. She must've seen his cruiser in the driveway.
He quickly got out of the car, prepared for the yelling that he was about to get.
"What is this!" Bella yelled, finally reaching him.
"Bella I can explain," Charlie stated.
"Explain what!?" She continued yelling. "Explain how you have been lying to me for my entire life!"
"Please just give your mother and I a chance to explain," Charlie begged his daughter. "Please just wait until your mother gets here and you will know everything."
"Okay," Bella stated with a huff. She didn't want to wait until Renee got there, but she also knew that if she didn't she would regret it. Something inside her told her she needed to wait until her mother got there.
Charlie watched as his daughter walked back inside the house. He pulled out his cell phone and called the one person who would be able to help him. "Billy, I need your help."
In Texas, the 150 year old cold one was with his mate looking for their next hunt when he suddenly got hit with a feeling. Peter came to a halt, startling his mate.
"What's wrong Pete," Charlotte asked her mate.
"Something is going to happen," Peter stated. He knew that whatever was going to happen would be big and it would happen soon. It would change the whole supernatural community.
Peter has been alive a long time, and he has met all types of supernatural creatures. The cold ones tend to forget that they are not the only vampires around. In fact they are not even true vampires. The real vampires stem from the original family. The very first vampires that were created a thousand years prior. The first vampires were created by a witch who was trying to protect her family from werewolves. It wasn't until later that someone had tried to recreate the spell in hopes of being more powerful than the original family. That was how the cold ones were created. Nature determined that there could not be two original families and cursed the witch and vampire creating the first ever cold ones. The cold ones were much weaker than original vampires and were controlled by their thirst.
He met the Original Family not long after being freed from Maria's control. Him, Charlotte, and Jasper were traveling through New Orleans when they came across the Original Family. You could tell by one look at them that they were powerful. Jasper, Klaus, and Peter had hit it off really well. Klaus, and Peter got along really well. They were one of the few people that he trusted outside of his family. Peter has warned Klaus about many problems that have come his way. Most of them including his father, Michael.
"What's going to happen?" Charlotte asked. Charlotte has seen Peter get his feelings before, but it has never scared her before. His reaction was similar to Alice when she had her visions.
"I don't know," Peter stated.
So here is the next chapter. I hope you like it. You saw your first introduction to Peter and Charlotte who will be seen throughout the story. The Cullens will be in the story, but not until later in the story. You also got a little backstory to the creation of the cold ones. Who do you think is the first ever Cold One? If you guys have any ideas or anything you would like to see let me know. I am always happy to get new ideas and if your idea ends up in the story I will give you credit for your amazing idea. Thank you for always being amazing and all the positive feedback.
