Weapons & Crafting
The next day Aqua was dressed in her normal clothes which as a reminder is a white shirt, blue jacket, black pants and some blue and black trainers and some black fingerless gloves as she with Gatomon in her back meet Uzi in Vale by the square where Aqua would cross for the Beacon Line.
"Looks like you made it." Uzi said smiling. She was in her canon look, black hood and skirt.
"Yeah, hope I didn't keep you wait to long" Aqua said
"Not at all" Uzi said shaking her head "The shop's on Central Street, so we gotta go through the Crossing to get there!"
"The Crossing?" Aqua asked.
"That's what we call the Vale Crossing." Uzi explained "It's this huge intersection with people crossing the street from every direction. Once we get past that, we'll pretty much be at Central Street."
"Okay got it." Aqua said nodding.
"Let's go then." Uzi said and leads the way.
The two head to the Crossing but stop seeing a street orator giving a speech. He was a robot that was red and blue and looked like he would transform into a truck. He also had a logo of a red robotic face. Aqua could tell he was Cybertronian in terms of race.
"Everyone, wake up! This country is twisted!" The Robot Street Orator states to the small crowd "While our Galactically joined Earth society may appear to be thriving, many young beings have not been blessed by their elders. They have no jobs, no savings, no financial security whatsoever…"
"These young ones should be tackling their futures head on, but instead, they're too busy merely trying to survive." He continues to make his speech.
"Eh, people give speeches all the time." Uzi said disinterested and shrugging "Plus, politics are pretty boring anyways."
Aqua however was interested in the speech, she was good at reading people, and she feels that this Cybertronian was being trueful with his concerns.
"If you're interested in politics, we should come back another time." Gatomon said to Aqua.
Aqua nods and continues to the Crossing and they cross to Vale Station Central Street.
"Follow me. The Shop can be pretty confusing to find sometimes." Uzi instructs.
"Alright lead the way." Aqua said as she takes in the sight.
Here on the street was a bookstore, a video rental store, the beef bowl restaurant Aqua and Uzi went to after the second time at the Palace, a diner that was under renovation next to a crepe shop, a gym, the Joyful Big Bang Burger restaurant Aqua went with Alexis, an arcade, a convience store called the Kwik-E-Mart, a drug store, a discount store and at the end of the stree a Movie Theater.
As they walked Aqua heres a sly voice said "Hey, you a student?" She looks to see a gangster looking man grinning at her "Looking for a part-time job? It's easy money! I can make a recommendation just for you."
"Hey, you'll lose track of Uzi if you waste time with this guy." Gatomon said concerned.
"Don't you want some pocket change?" The gangster asked "I can help you out."
"Sorry, I'm not interested" Aqua said getting a bed feeling from this.
"Huh, that's disappointing." The gangster said though looked a bit annoyed "Well, come back if you change your mind."
"Hey, we need to go after Uzi." Gatomon said.
They catch up to Uzi who said "Hey, this way!" She leads them dowen to an alleyway to show an airsoft store called Untoucable. "This is it. Pretty legit, right?"
"I'll admit I'm a bit excited." Aqua said smiling.
"Oh, are you into this sort of military stuff?" Uzi asked surprised.
"It's a long story." Aqua said shrugging.
"Okay, anyway let's check out what's inside." Uzi said smiling and they approach the entrance. She then said "Oh yeah, before we head in…you anything about guns and such? If not, we'll just ask the one behind the counter if we can't figure out what we want. Come on, let's do this."
They enter the Untouchable which was full of airsofe guns and military gear of all kinds. Behind the counter was another Cybertronaina, this one was blue and white with a single red visor optics he had a purple robotic logo on his chest and looked to turn into a tape deck radio. He also was the only one working so he was the Manager no doubt. He was currently looking through a magazine while sat on a chair. Perched on a shelf was a robotic red and black bird that looked like it would turn into a cassette.
Aqua and Uzi look around and not sure what to get approach the counter. The Cybertronian looks at them and said, "You know what you want?" His voice have an echo like it is slightly like syncretised. "Or are you looking for some recommendations?"
"Yeah, what do you suggest?" Aqua asked him.
"Hmmm…I am unsure, just buy whichever speaks to you more?" The Cybertronian said shrugging.
"Geez, some customer service…" Uzi said annoyed
The Cybertronina shakes his head and asked "Alright, what do you want? An automatic? A revolver?"
"Um, auromatic…?" Uzi said confused "Hey, why're you talking about carts now?! I know you Cybertronians turn into anything but no need to talk about vehicles!" The bird robot cries at her. "Bite me beak brain!"
"Listen little Earth drone, this is an enthusiast shop." The Cybertronian said to Uzi "My regular's will be upset if I let a casual like you hang around."
"I am no freaking casual!" Uzi said insulted "I bought stuff from here like, last week!"
"Hmmm, I think I would remember someone with purple hair and wearing Hot Topic here before." The Cybertronian said.
"Bite me!" Uzi told him.
The Cybertronian looks at Aqua and asked "And you? Looking for something?"
"I am actually looking for a fancy model gun." Aqua said to him bowing.
"…Oh?" The Cybertroinian said more interested then before "Are you a collector? I'll admit you Earthling are much more interesting than the drone over there."
"Oh, give it a rest!" Uzi told him. The Cybertronian plays clown music from his speakers and Uzi grumbles.
"Anyway…You should have said before you two are enthusiasts." The Cybertroinan explained "I'm always eager to help fresh faces." He puts the magazine down and sits up straight. "However, some precautions first. Don't go round pointing' them at people. Keep them in a bag or something if you're outside."
"Oh, and don't let that Earth base authorities catch wind of you having them. I don't need them coming round here." He continued.
"We'll be careful, promise." Aqua said promising.
"You damn well better be." The Cybertroinian said serious and the bird flies down onto the counter. "Now, if you look closely, you'll be able to tell these are models. Real guns feel…different. Maybe one day I'll show you the real good stuff though if you got the guts for it, of course."
"Oh, interesting" Aqua said.
The Cybertronian nods standing up and said "But for now, you get the beginner selection. Just sit tight, I'll bring them out. Lazerbeak keep an eye on them." The bird caws nodding and the manager bot leaves.
Uzi smiles and said to Aqua "…We did it! We totally got to for some of the fancy stuff, right? I want them to shine!"
"Yeah, same I am interested in the advanced stuff" Aqua said thinking
"Oh, and here's the credits for mine. Pick me out something good!" Uzi said and gave her 5,000 credits.
"Alright I have the stuff, take a look." The Cybertronian said "Also since we may be doing regular business you can call me Soundwave."
"Nice to meet you." Aqua said and looks through the stuff got herself and Gatomon better malee weapons, all of them better ranged weapons and armour and sold what they don't need.
Soundwave however stops them before they handed over the old model guns "One more thing you should know, I don't buy off any model guns from other people, so keep that in mind. Malee Weapons, armour, items even valuable stuff I will buy but not ranged weapons."
"How come?" Aqua asked
"I don't want to deal with any problems buying anything already modified." Soundwave explained. "And that's all I will say."
"Understood." Aqua said nodding and she and Uzi go to leave.
"Heading home already?" Uzi asked and Aqua nods "Well anyway, I'll have you doing the choosing from now on. Get me the strongest looking one."
"I will remember that Uzi." Aqua said smiling as they leave.
Aqua arrives back at Leblanc and sees that someone was sitting at the middle booth was a customer, he was an old man with white hair and in a suit. Aqua recalls seeing pictures of her parents with him back during their teen days.
"Hey Vito, did you hear?" The old man's said "Apparently that subway driver from the accident was acting really odd during his testimony hearing."
"Are you talking about that psychotic whatever thing peoples going on about Leo?" Vito asked.
"Indeed, I heard it completely alters your personality." Leo said nodding. "The news is saying the driver couldn't even speak when they tried asking him questions."
"Come on Leo, you're smarter than that." Vito said to him "Only an idiot would believe a kooky story like that. Oh and also sorry, we'll be closing soon."
"Hmmm, this is really why you don't many customers." Leo said shaking his head "The coffee you serve is not half bad. If the beans could talk they'll be lamenting the sorry state of the store…"
"Thanks for stopping by Leo, please come again." Vito said shaking his head.
"Only offering my advice to help your business, thanks for the coffee." Leo said and stood and looks at Aqua "Ah, you must be Aqua, haven't seen you since you were a baby. Your parents and I go way back."
"Nice to meet you sir" Aqua said smiling.
"Well, let your parents know I said hi, also I will be coming round her on a regular to make sure Vito is taking good care of you." Leo said smiling and leaves the café.
"Sheesh, what a pain…" Vito said sighing and looks at Aqua who was looking at him "Oh…What do you want? If you're bored go wash some dishes or something."
"So that is the mutual friend of my parents and you?" Aqua asked.
"Yeah, you could say back in my younger days he was kind of a mentor to me, our relationship is alright but a bit strained, but he is a good person at heart." Vito said nodding.
"I am concerned with what he said, how is business these days?" Aqua asked him.
"That doesn't concern you." Vito said firmly but sighs "Look it's all good as long as the shop doesn't fail. I'm not going to go wearing a fake smile."
"Huh…that some kind of personal motto of yours?" Aqua asked intrigued.
"No, it's not like that." Vito said shaking his head. "I didn't have the best life growing up, messed with the wrong kinds of business and understood the world can be cruel. As long as I'm here, the world leaves me be. No annoyances or troublesome people to deal with. It's like my own personal hidaway."
"I'd be sort of screwed if I lost it, but I guess you would be too." Vito said thinking "So, you better at least try and be useful around here."
"This place is my home for a while so I will help out when I can." Aqua said nodding.
Vito nods "Anywat, I'm leaving now. Don't cause any trouble."
"Understood Vito" Aqua said and heads upstairs.
Aqua was relaxing upstairs on her couch then got a message from Alexis.
"So, I went to see Hina in the hospital…" Alexis messaged.
"How was she?" Aqua asked.
"Her condition is stable." Alexis replied, Aqua sighs in relief on that "They don't know when she'll regain consciousness though."
"I am sure she'll be okay." Aqua sends.
"Yeah." Alexis messaged "She'll get better, I know it. I just need to believe in her. But…I'll never forgive Gaston. He's going to pay for what he did, no matter what."
Aqua nods and puts her phone away.
"We're just about ready to go to the Palace." Gatomon said to her. "We just need to assemble some infiltration tools." He looks over at the desk to the right of the couch. "Clean off that desk back there so we can use it."
"I think it is about time I clean up some more in this room" Aqua said nodding and cleans the Work desk making it be useable now.
"Great, now you can make things whenever you want!" Gatomon said smiling and Aqua sits on the stool. "I'll provide the materials this time. Try making a Lockpick. Don't think too hard about it. You'll get the hang of it."
"Right on it, let's see now..." Aqua said and works on the Lockpick and finishes it. "Nice"
"Great! We should be able to use this." Gatomon said smiling. Aqua smiles as she feels she is more proficient. "We should be ready now. We're heading into the Palace tomorrow. Let's get some sleep."
"Yeah, but I will think about when is a good time to head in" Aqua said wanting to spend a while making sure they were all prepared first.
Aqua gets ready for bed and to sleep, she feels she needs to do some more prep before beginning infiltration.
They got where to buy healing and equipment, but Aqua will be making final preperations before heading into the Palace
