Reed made a meeting time for Peter and his family for the weekend, and it worked out for them since they had to pack.

Moving from Metropolis to New York was an almost too easy transition for the family. Things were mostly the same between the cities, just one is grimmer and everyone is annoyed to meet you.

By the time they got everything moved over, the school year was about to start, and it was the perfect time to get the kids to the Baxter Building.

Susan Storm was currently working on some scans that were reading Mayday for any anomalies in her DNA.

"So... you guys did the same thing here to my dad?" Mayday tried to strike a conversation with the Invisible Woman.

"Yeah, when he was a member here, we did a few experiments on him," Susan confirmed as she was examining the results. "He even got close to my brother, Johnny."

"And...my dad dated you?" Mayday wonders.

"Oh, yeah. It was just a quick date. It was just to smite Reed. I mostly complained about him." Susan then remembered what happened at the end. "Then Namor came and attacked him."

"What?" Mayday asked in shock.

"It's... a long story." Susan shrugged and looked over the data. "That's...odd."

Reed was also doing the same for April, going over the same scans and DNA tests.

"So... you might be able to remove these powers if I have any?" April asks Reed.

"Well, not exactly." Reed was sorry to say as he scanned her for biological differences. "We're trying to pinpoint just what is different. When your father got bit, his body started to biological change."

"How?" April was starting to worry.

"His muscle mass was increased. Brain function was increased. His body started to take the characteristics of a spider. Even grew extra arms at one point."

"I'm sorry, he what?" April asked in complete shock.

"Yeah, it was something that happened long ago," Reed explains to her. "His spider DNA was slowly increasing and needed to be stopped. Be glad we were able to, or your dad would have six hands and four eyes."

"Are you telling them stories about my embarrassing times?" Peter asked as he strolled in and saw April. "Everything good?"

"I... feel fine." April shrugged, standing for the scanners to keep doing their thing. "So, about those extra limbs..."

"If you're worried about it happening to you, don't." Peter quickly assured her. "My DNA was corrected long before you were born. The only thing that's possible to be passed down is the powers."

"And... there is no cure?" April asks.

"With your dad, a cure was optional." Reed gestured to Peter. "His DNA was tampered with. It was easy to find the anomalies in his body." Then he turned to Peter with the results. "Which leads me to the bad news."

"What's that?" Peter wonders.

Susan then came in as well, Mayday close behind her as she showed the results. "Something tells me that we got the same results."

"What's that?" Peter was getting worried.

"There are no anomalies in their DNA," Reed said and showed Peter the results.

"What?" Peter asks as he took the tablets and was surprised. "That's not possible."

"Actually, it is." Reed was sorry to say. "It's as I was saying. Your body knows what was tampered with, so making a cure would be as simple as it is to reconstruct your DNA."

"That's simple?" Mayday clarified with them.

"But for them... it's a part of their DNA. Their powers, if they have any, are hidden deep within their biological structure. We can't even decipher which one, or if either of them, have any." Susan was sorry to tell him.

"So... we still don't know which of us is the one with powers?" April clarified as she was released from the scanner.

"Seems we just have to wait and see." Peter shrugged, seeing things are going to be more complicated than he hoped.

"We could possibly be able to find out if we replicate the incident." Reed offered a way to find out.

"We are not throwing them off another building." Peter quickly dismounted his argument. "Those are my kids."

"I didn't mean it literally..." Reed commented, quickly scratching something off his board. "Anymore."

Peter scoffs as Reed starts to walk away. "I can't believe that guy sometimes."

"Sorry," Susan said and patted him on the shoulder. "But the good news is your kids are alright to go to school tomorrow."

"Yay." April and Mayday sighed, seeing this as more bad news for them.

The girls made their way into Midtown High, the same high school that their father went to many years ago. Making their way to the lockers they were assigned; seems they were at least locker neighborhoods by some weird twist of fate.

"So, what exactly are we supposed to do?" April asked her sister. "Just wait around for another event to occur and see which of us have powers?"

"Well, doesn't seem that we have anything else to really do," Mayday tells her. "We just have to wait and see what happens."

Seems that none of them had spider senses as they managed to miss someone approaching and bumping into them.

"Oh, sorry!" She cried as she kneeled to pick up her book and phone. "Sorry, I was just watching something."

Mayday managed to get a look and saw it was a conspiracy theory video about Spider-Man. "A Spider-Man fan?"

Then the girl moved her book and showed she was wearing an Avengers shirt. "Well, more of a superhero fan."

"I can see that." April comments. "I'm April, this is my twin sister May."

"April and May?" She asked the two.

"I'm named after the woman that raised our father," Mayday explains. "Technically, I'm inspired by her. My full name is Mayday."

"That's a lot cooler." She admitted.

"And they just wanted us to match, so I was named April," April explains.

"Oh, that's cool." She said and straightened her backpack. "My name is Kamala."

"Nice to meet you, Kamala," Mayday said. "So, what's with the Spider-Man video?"

"Oh, since he made a reappearance yesterday, he's been the hot new topic," Kamala explains to them. "The theory is that he retired, but I have my own theory."

"And what's that?" April was curious to hear her theory.

"Well, he vanished at least fifteen years ago." Kamala started off her theory. "And even some people thought that he died in the fight against Green Goblin. But my thoughts are... he had children."

Mayday and April look to one another in fear of how close she was to the truth.

"That maybe he thought after he defeated the Green Goblin, he should be a father to them. Or maybe he was training them. To be like a second Spider-Man. Or even a Spider-Woman."

"That's...quite a theory," April said as she looked to Mayday. "Something to think about."

Mayday then realized that she and April needed to get going. "Well, we need to get to the front desk for our IDs."

"Catch you later," April said to Kamala as the two walked off to the desk.

"Yeah, see you," Kamala said and let them pass. "Nice meeting you!"

"Same here," Mayday called back as they kept going.

Peter was still with Susan and Reed, looking over the results that he got from his daughters. He was looking for what could be considered an anomaly. He knew that his daughters had powers but was still trying to figure out which.

"I don't see many biological anomalies to pinpoint which has powers," Reed says.

"You've studied this for the past several hours. We can run these with you going out." Susan told Peter, knowing he had bigger problems. "Go home. You still have a Goblin to look for."

"Fine. You're right." Peter sighed and knew that he needed to go. "See you guys later."

On his way out, he noticed Johnny. "Hey, Pete!"

"Johnny," Peter said in shock as he walked over and hugged his friend. "It's been so long. I've missed you so much!"

"Really?" Peter was surprised to hear how much his friend missed him.

"Well, more like noticed you were missing." Johnny shrugged, starting to go for his tough guy routine.

"Of course." Peter rolled his eyes.

"Sorry that I wasn't there for the funeral," Johnny said as he patted him on the shoulder. "I was out of the city."

"No problem," Peter said. "Give me a call, we should get together and hang out."

"Definitely," Johnny said as he patted his friend on the shoulder.

Back at school, Mayday and April made their way to the principal office. When they took a seat, they were met with their school principal.

"Welcome students, I am your new principal." He then spun his chair to look face to face with them. He is a Caucasian male with a muscular build and brown hair. He also wears a business suit, with a white shirt underneath and a black tie. "Names Phil Coulson."

Mayday and April looked at one another, realizing that they recognized that name.

"Phil Coulson?" April asks. "As in-"

"I am just your principal." Coulson quickly informed them. Seeming to confirm their suspicions. "Welcome to Midtown High. You'll take your photos for your IDs outside the office."

April and Mayday just decided to do as he said, and both stood up to leave his office. Walking out the door, April leaned close to her sister.

"This is weird, right?" April asks.

"Extremely." Mayday agreed as they closed the door.

Coulson smiled at the two sisters as they left, remembering when he had to go on a similar assignment for when their father was a teenager.

Peter made it down to the front desk of Reed's holographic assistant when he found a familiar face with his back turned to the windows. This guy just loves to be ominous and mysterious all the time.

"As if the Green Goblin return, missing threats, and terrorist attacks weren't bad enough..." Nick Fury sighed as he turned to face Peter. "I have to deal with an out-of-touch hero who thinks he can jump back in the swing of things."

"What do you want, Fury?" Peter asks.

"No, see, that's my question for you." Fury informed him. "What do you hope to gain moving back to New York?"

"This is my home, Nick," Peter stated, circling the Agent and noticing the annoyed look for calling him by his first name. "My family needs this. And I need to do this. This New Goblin came looking for me."

"Which is why I was trying to avoid giving him what he wanted," Nick explained why he didn't want him to get involved. "Now we don't know where he is or where he's going to be going next."

"He wants me," Peter informed Nick. "He knew me."

This piqued Fury's interest all of a sudden. "What did he say?"

"He said that we had a history," Peter recalled what he had said. "Said that I was the one who destroyed the world."

"You?" Fury questioned.

"I don't understand it either, but he destroyed his glider to have a shot at stopping me," Peter remembered. "He's gonna want to rebuild it."

"Unless he already has one." Fury was sorry to say.

"Yeah, I considered that," Peter muttered that last bit to himself.

"Be ready. I might stop by your place later." Fury commented, walking off to leave Peter alone. He walked down the halls and came across Reed Richards. "Anything on his kids?"

"We haven't found traces of powers. But they could be worth keeping an eye on them." Reed reported to him.

"Already on it." Fury said as he placed Coulson in their school to keep an eye on the girls.
