Back with a new chapter. To start, I'm glad you all are enjoying this. It was a little brain child where I am honestly winging it. I have an Alola Loud House where I am planning out in detail on how I would write it, but I may need some help with that. Here we get to see some of the shenanigans of a Donbrothers inspired trainer mixed with the planner Lincoln. Special thanks to megakdre100, Njistar, toonholt, zdforrest, and that one guest for telling me that you enjoyed it. It means a lot and helps keep me motivated to keep writing.
Before we begin, I guess I was a little unclear about my little challenge along with a revision. The Challenge is this: Guess 1 of the Pokemon that Lincoln will have along with the Donbrother Character that they are named after. If you do, you can pick a Pokemon from the Unova, Kitakami or Blueberry Academy. For example, because he is revealed in this chapter, Lincoln's starter was Litten who is now an Incineroar named Don Torabolt. Along with that, we have Ogerpon (Oni Sister), Monkidori (Saru Brother), Fezindipiti (Kiji Brother), Okidogi (Inu Brother), and one more that will be revealed in the next chapter. This leaves 8 more Pokemon to guess with the hint that they are named after either a Noto, Don Doragoku, or Don Murasume. I'll give you another hint, they are all either from the Kitakami or Blueberry Pokedex. Good luck.
I'm directly quoting Donbrothers in this chapter, so I do want to state that I do not own in any way the legal rights to Donbrothers, Loud House, or Pokemon. I'm just a guy who has too many ideas and is having some fun with them.
Enter Don Momotaro - Let's Begin
"Alright everyone! Right this way! Place your luggage into this bin, and we'll get started on our tour," Briar announced to the Loud Family. She stood at the front of the group as they all stretched their limbs. There was a single student standing by a cart for their luggage. He was really tall, with dark, shaggy hair and a cap that covered his eyes. He was wearing the standard Autumn uniform and a red jacket with blue sleeves over it. There was a white bear logo situated on the right breast of the jacket.
"Great. I need some exercise," Lynn Jr. complained. She was currently stretching her legs like she was preparing to run.
"I can't wait to see where Lincoln's been, Pixie. He's told me so many amazing stories about his friends and the Pokemon he met," Lily cheered. The two smallest members of the tourists were currently bouncing in place as they waited to get started.
"Make certain to stay close to us, Lily," Rita gently said. "We don't know many of the people." Lily nodded her head with Pixie in sync with her.
"OK, mommy."
"I have to admit, this place looks pretty sweet," Luna said, looking around. She noticed a few students running down the walkway.
"Eh, this place makes me feel a little blue," Luan commented, getting groans from her sisters. "You're right, that was too easy."
"Where's everyone going?" Lana asked when she saw that there was no one else. Even the student who was in charge of their luggage was nowhere to be seen.
"They are probably going to watch Don Momotaro's battle against Carmine," a soft female voice pointed out. She was a slender girl of about 5'4" with light pink hair with hair clips and yellow eyes. Her clothes consisted of a white shirt with a red neckerchief, blue pants with one blue stripe and one white. White shoes and a long lavender coat. Pinned to her neckerchief, was a black heart that seemed to be made from onyx or something similar. "Was your trip pleasant, Ms. Briar?"
"It was quite nice, Lacey. Royal Woods is a pleasant town, but while I would recommend the Flippees, I would caution against letting Amarys or Crispin in the store. The owner was quite the unpleasant person and did not seem to care when it came to hygiene around food," Briar explained with a grimace. Lacey and several members of the Loud family winced when they heard that. "Where is Crispin? He was supposed to help guide us." An amused smile graced Lacey's face.
"Where do you expect Crispin to be?" Lacey asked. Briar shook her head.
"That boy just cannot stay away from battles," Briar commented.
"And he never will," Lacey agreed. Her face suddenly turned cross. "But it doesn't excuse him from shirking from his duties. He's supposed to help show Lincoln's family around, but then he rushes over to the first battle he sees. It's just not right!" She made an x with her hands.
"Uh, what is this about?" Lori suddenly asked. "Who's Crispin?"
"Crispin, along with Lacey, are part of the League Club. In fact, they are part of the students who formed it and are some of the strongest trainers in it," Briar explained.
"What's the League Club?" Luan asked. Both Briar and Lacey went to answer this.
"I'll take this, Ms. Briar," Lacey stepped forward. "You probably have things you need to catch up on before Director Cyrano pushes some of his work on you." Briar looked thoughtful but nodded.
"Very well. Lacey, I leave the Loud Family in your capable hands," Briar said. She gave a small wave to the family. "I will be meeting you later in my classroom. Have a good day." Before she fully left, she paused as she walked past Lacey. She pulled out Pixie's Pokeball. "Please keep an eye on this. It is Chiko-sorry, Pixie's Pokeball."
"You can count on me, Ms. Briar," Lacey saluted, getting a giggle out of Lily.
Lacey motioned everyone to follow her, and the not so small group followed the girl at a leisurely pace. "The League Club was originally started by Crispin, myself, and several other students as a way to improve our battling skills. Eventually, we got more students joining, and it became a normalized part of the school. Over half the students are participating in what is called the BB League, a competition to see who is the strongest student at the academy. We're just starting the season, so everyone but the Elite Four and the Champion starts at the beginning and works their way to the top. Don Momotaro is actually the Champion of the League."
"That sounds like my kind of party. Sign me up!" Lynn Jr. shouted gleefully. Rita and Lynn Sr. shared worried glances at this proclamation.
"That's impossible," Lacey plainly stated. Lynn stumbled at the blunt comment.
"Why is that? I'm the best athlete in Royal Woods," Lynn bragged. Lacey turned to Lynn with an unimpressed stare.
"Congratulations," she sarcastically said. "However, you will find that personal athletics only matter if we are participating in gym class." Several of Lynn's sisters and Albert snickered at the deadpan delivery from Lacey.
"There are two big reasons that you would not be able to compete," Lacey paused in her walk to face the Loud Family. "One, you are not a student of BB Academy or a member of the League Club. Two, you are not a trainer. You need at least 6 Pokemon to be able to compete, and you aren't allowed to catch or train Pokemon. And before you ask, it is considered poor taste to borrow another Pokemon for a competition like this."
"Aw man," Lynn groaned. She then perked up as a thou-
"No, Lynn. We are not enrolling you into Blueberry Academy. You are not throwing away your scholarships for a tournament," Lynn Sr. put his foot down before Jr. could ask. Lynn Jr. turned to her mother only to get a negative shake. She slumped over at that.
"What's that?" Lucy asked, suddenly beside Lynn Jr. She had her umbrella open, but was gesturing to a floating figure over Lacey's shoulder.
"Gah!" All the members of the Loud Family, Albert, and Pixie exclaimed. Lacey was the only one who was not really affected. Instead, she just looked at the figure that rested on her shoulder with a smile. It was a small, humanoid Pokemon with green music-bar hair filled with quarter notes. Lily was the first to recover. She moved next to Lacey with Pixie and gently tugged at Lacey's coat.
"This is Meloetta. She is technically Lincoln's Pokemon, but really she just hangs around all of us. She is really good at singing and is quite cute isn't she," Lacey said, bending down. "Meloetta, this is Lily, Lincoln's youngest sister, and it looks like Chikorita has chosen Lily." Meloetta floated around Lily before she gave a wild smile.
"Meloetta!" The Melody Pokemon sang out. She held a hand out to Lily. "Mel, Melo."
"It's nice to meet you, Meloetta. This is Pixie," Lily said, shaking the Pokemon's hand. Meloetta released Lily's hand to pet Pixie's head, getting a happy cry from the plant dinosaur. Meanwhile, Albert and Lynn had to stop Lola and Luna from running towards Meloetta.
"That's a great name for Chikorita. What made you think of the name Pixie?" Lacey asked.
"I'm curious as well. How did you come up with Pixie? She's not exactly a fay," Lucy asked. She took a step next to Lily and held a hand out towards Meloetta. Meloetta once again shook her hand, but she quickly floated to the top of Lucy's umbrella. The Pokemon gently landed on the top of it and started to spin on it.
"Lily named her after the Pixie Lily," Lily explained simply. The eavesdropping sisters all raised an eyebrow at that.
"Let me guess, you got that from Lisa," Lucy said simply. Lily nodded. Lucy turned to Lacey. "It is good to finally meet you in person, Lacey. How are things with Lincoln?" While she asked the question in her normal monotone, the sly smirk spoke volumes. A small, unnoticeable blush appeared on Lacey's cheeks, but it vanished before anyone could notice besides Lucy.
"We're still doing good. The whole League Club have all been a little busy, but we've made certain to spend time together," Lacey said with a content smile. Loud cheering could be heard down the walkway.
"I won!" A boyish, cheerful voice announced at the top of their lungs, startling the group.
"Wow. Check out the lungs on that guy. Is that the Momotaro guy?" Luna asked. Lacey shook her head.
"That was Crispin, the other tour guide. Most likely, he roped someone into a battle so he could get his battle fever under control before the main event would start. Director Cyrano probably let it happen because it let him act as Master of Ceremonies," Lacey explained. She clapped her hand, and Meloetta floated back to her family. She guided the family to the battle field and pointed towards the stands. It was already crowded with students, but there were several spots that could fit the family. "Go ahead and find some seats. I need to make certain that Crispin does his job. Meloetta, can you keep an eye on them?"
"Melo," Meloetta confirmed and looked at the different members of the family. She finally settled on sitting on Albert's shoulder.
"Thank you, Meloetta," Lacey said with a gracious smile. It dropped as she walked towards the field. The family quickly found a nearby set of empty seats and got comfortable while they waited for the main event.
In the field, a red-haired boy in a chef's jacket carrying a frying pan could be seen talking to Director Cyrano excitedly. Beside him was a large, humanoid egg-shaped Pokemon. They seemed to be quite energetic, but the moment Lacey turned to him, Crispin held the pan up defensively. They couldn't make out what it meant, but it was obvious that it was pretty common based on the other students' reactions who were openly laughing at the scene.
"Hello, little lady," Pop-Pop gently greeted the Pokemon. "My name is Albert, but my grandkids call me Pop-Pop. It's nice to meet you."
"Meloetta," the pop-star Pokemon greeted back with a happy smile. It started humming a little tune as it relaxed on the man's broad shoulders.
"I can't believe that Lincoln has been around all these Pokemon for years, and he didn't tell us," Lynn Jr. complained with an interested look towards Crispin's Pokemon. She received several disappointed looks from about half of her family as well as Meloetta.
"What are you talking about? Lincoln has told me all about Pokemon," Albert questioned, scratching at his neck. "Did you not pay attention to Lincoln's calls?"
"I concur. Lincoln has been quite forthcoming with his experiences surrounding these mythical creatures and their elemental abilities," Lisa backed up her grandfather. Immediately, she revised what she said. "Lincoln has told me all about Pokemon and their abilities. However, we've already established that 46.15% of us have not fully listened to Lincoln when he was sharing his time at Blueberry Academy." The seven year-old sent a small glare at the offending members.
"Thank you for reminding me," Rita remarked. She had a stern glare. "When we finally find Lincoln, I don't want any of you to hold it against him. Lincoln also told me quite a bit of what he was learning, so you only have yourself to blame." There were some grumbles from half of the Loud Sisters, but nothing more as the reality of the situation sunk in. Rita turned her stare to Lynn. "That goes for you, too, Lynn. Lincoln shared plenty of his time here, and you didn't take the chance to listen to him."
"Ah-bu-I-," Lynn tried to defend himself. He hung his head. "Yes dear, you are correct." Rita had a triumphant look, though only for a moment.
"Look, I know that we all have struggled to connect with Lincoln while he has been here. It's been hard to keep in touch when we all have busy schedules and our own responsibilities, but I know we all tried to keep in touch. We just didn't communicate as much as we should have. Keep that in mind because this is a chance to reconnect with your brother and strengthen the bond that we have with him," Rita suggested. This seemed to be just what they needed as everyone looked on with happier faces.
"That was beautiful," Crispin's voice cut in. The young chef had a wide grin as he approached Lincoln's family with his Pokemon. Up close, they could see that he was about the same height as Lacey. "Lincoln will be glad to hear that you are super excited." Lacey nudged the boy.
"Manners, Crispin," Lacey grunted at him. Crispin quickly straightened up. He pulled his pan out and started to spin a Quick Ball on it, almost like he was sauteing it.
"I'm Crispin, a proud member of the League Club and one of Lincoln's best friends. This is one of my partners, Magmortar," Crispin introduced. Magmortar raised a hand in greeting. "I specialize in cooking and fire types. It is nice to meet you all."
"Hahaha, you have quite a bit of fire, don't ya!" Albert laughed. Crispin started scratching the back of his head.
"Thanks, Mr. Albert," Crispin beamed at the compliment.
"Oh, do you know who we all are? It's impressive since you haven't met any of us," Albert inquired with a grin.
"Kind of. I'm sorta bad with names, so I may get them wrong, but Lincoln has certainly bragged about all of you enough that I think I got it," Crispin said with a thoughtful look. "Give me a moment." He got into a thinking pose while continuing to move the Quick Ball.
"Linky brags about us?" Leni asked with a happy grin.
"Oh yeah. He is always talking about how great his sisters are while showing his stupid wallet filled with pictures of you all. It's cute, but annoying," Lacey grinned, leaning in like she was telling a secret. "We think its how he copes with being away from you all for so long."
"That's kind of lame," Lynn bluntly stated with a small grin. "Good to see that Lincoln is still a dork." Giggles were met with Lynn's observation.
"I think I got them," Crispin suddenly said. "Your Lori, Leni, Luan, Luna, Lynn, Lucy, Lola, Lana, Lisa,..." He listed them off and pointed to each sister, except he swapped Luan & Luna, and the twins. "I always get stumped with the last one." He subtly passes his pan to Magmortar as he creeped a little closer to Lily. Lily is unaware of this as she is pouting about him not knowing her name.
"I know that she starts with L, and its a flower. I remember, its Lily!" Crispin cried, snatching up the little girl and putting her on his shoulders.
"Crispin! This isn't funny!" Lily laughed. Despite her words, Lily was not really struggling against Crispin's actions. In fact, she hugged Crispin's head.
"But Lily, I haven't gotten to fulfill my promise to you. I'm not letting you go until I've fed you a meal," Crispin proclaimed. Pixie got a blank look as she heard the words "not letting you go" completely unaware of Lily's cheer.
"Chika!" Pixie cried as she jumped over the seats and started to head butt Crispin's legs.
"Easy, Chikorita! I'm just playing with Lily," Crispin cried, stumbling to keep his balance. Magmortar dropped the pan down to grab Lily right before Crispin fell over. "That was close. Thanks Magmortar."
"Magmortar," Magmortar said smugly as he cradled Lily who happily snuggled into the warm Pokemon. Rita got up and tried to get Lily from the Pokemon who seemed to refuse which turned Chikorita's attention to Magmortar.
"How does Crispin know Lily?" Lucy asked Lacey. Lacey took a thinking pose. Behind them, a triumphant Rita was standing by a defeated Magmortar with Lily in her arms. Magmortar had a comical white flag that he was waving. Next to him, Crispin mirrored his Pokemon with a triumphant Pixie standing on Crispin's head.
"I think it was a few months ago. Crispin came into the clubroom with a large book filled with baking recipes. He was talking with Lincoln about Lily's favorite foods and snacks. Apparently, while studying with Lincoln, Crispin met Lily, and well, Crispin basically adopted Lily," Lacey explained. She slumped over. "I'm so jealous. Why does stupid Crispin get to have such a bond with the cute Lily?" A dark cloud formed over Lacey's head.
"I'm glad to see that our friendship means nothing," Lucy droned out. The cloud dissipated from Lacey's head immediately, and the girl was right beside Lucy holding her hand in hers.
"Don't even think about it. You have been my only source of sanity outside of Amarys. Even Lincoln has his moments of craziness," Lacey exclaimed frantically. Lucy only smirked at Lacey's plight. "And you were messing with me. I take back what I said. You are just as bad as them. Amarys is my only friend." A dark chuckle escaped Lucy at that comment.
"And don't you forget it," Lucy finished.
"Well, that was fun," Crispin said, completely fine despite being beaten by a tiny plant. He took an empty seat next to Albert with a relaxed grin. "And we've wasted enough time. Momotaro should be finished with his delivery."
"Did he get caught up in another delivery? He has a responsibility to uphold. It's just not right," Lacey complained, once more crossing her arms in an x.
"Uh, what do you mean, a delivery?" Lynn Jr. asked impatiently. Crispin leaned backwards with his arms behind his head.
"The Don works for the school's delivery program. He's actually one of their best," Crispin explained. He straightened up with a mischievous grin. "Though you'll never know when he is the one delivering your things. He has a lot of disguises due to his popularity. If he didn't, he'd never get his deliveries done on time."
"Yeah right. I've had to deal with a few people who thought they could sneak through with disguises. My siblings have tried a few times," Lori proclaimed. A few of the sisters had guilty looks at this. Crispin and Lacey both had smirks at this.
"I don't know. He's snuck up on me a few times," Lacey commented. She opened her mouth to say more, but she was shushed by Crispin.
"Enough messing with them," Crispin said. "Director Cyrano is finally starting." The Loud Family and Lacey all turned their attention to the field where Cyrano was standing.
"Good afternoon, students, staff, and guests!" Cyrano announced in the middle of the field. It was a basic Pokemon battle field with two sides separated by blue paint. There were scratches, scuff marks, and burns revealing that there was dirt under the white covering of the field. "You've all made great strides in improving your skills these past years. I look forward to seeing how far you will go this year. After the last battle, I'm certain that we are all ready for the main event to begin!" Cyrano paused to let everyone cheer.
"Then who am I to stop this! Let's meet our lucky trainers!" Cyrano pointed towards the main entrance to the school. From it, a very tall girl of almost 6 feet exited. She had yellow eyes and black hair with red highlights kept in place with a yellow headband. She wore the Winter BB uniform, but had a yellow fanny pack to complete her ensemble. One of the Loud Sisters perked up as they look
"Challenging our champion is Carmine! Last season she finished in 6th place. Will this year be the year that she becomes an Elite or even the Champion?" Cyrano proclaimed. Carmine took her place on her side of the field.
"I can't believe that idiot put me up to this! When I get my hands on that Momotaro, I'm going to clobber him!" Carmine cried out angrily with her arms shaking in front of her. The crowd seemed to eat up her announcement with glee.
"Facing her is our academy's reigning champion. With his friends, he was one of the backbones towards the creation of this league. With his unshakable bonds, he's been at the top since its founding. Let's give a warm welcome to the man born from a peach, Don Momotaro!" Cyrano pointed towards the walkway, causing the students to part ways. Music started playing as confetti started to rain from the sky.
Riding a purple and gray, mechanical lizard, Don Momotaro drove towards the arena. He was dressed in a black tracksuit with red accents. Red flames decorated the pants and a dog proudly snarled on his shoulders. You could not make out his face because he was wearing a red mask that looked like a Super Sentai mask. It was a unique design with tinted lenses shaped like sunglasses protruding from the sides and a peach almost fused on the forehead. His brown hair was pulled back into a ponytail. He was making a rise moment with his hands.
"HAHAHAHA! Hey, hey, hey! It's a festival! It's a festival, everyone! Passing by each other can form a bond! The earth you step on becomes part of that bond! So dance and sing together to tighten those bonds! The world becomes a paradise! Just blow your troubles away and laugh! Laugh with me! HAHAHAHAHA!" Momotaro called out, easily understood despite the mask. The crowd laughed or cheered with a few students dancing along to the music. Back with the Louds, they were a little speechless.
Chapter End
Stopping this here because the battle is already nearly the length of this chapter as is, so little shorter than usual.
It is important to note that Lincoln has told all of his friends about his sisters. Some of them have even met his sisters through video chats which is how Lacey and Crispin are familiar with Lucy and Lily. I've got an idea on who to link the Loud Sisters who paid attention to Lincoln with his friends.
