Sakura was playing the recorder at school she had gotten a lot better since the day where she caught Time, but there was another assignment with recorders.
"Today we're going to learn to synch with others. You will have a partner to play recorders with." Mr. Terada said. "Sakura will be paired with Madison."
"Alright!" Sakura said.
"I look forward to it." Madison said.
"Syaoran will be paired with Meilin."
"Are you up for it, Meilin?" Asked Syaoran
"You know it!" Said Meilin"
Mr. Terada announced the rest of the class pairings. After that the class went to practice playing in synch.
Sakura tried to keep up with Madison, but they were off synch.
"I thought after getting really good with the recorder, I would've been good at this too." Said Sakura
"Being good with a recorder is not the same as being good with partners, Sakura. One might prefer to do it quickly while another might prefer to do it slowly." Said Madison
Sakura looked at Mikki and Rita who played their recorders at perfect synch.
"Now there's a pair of musicians who go together." Said Sakura
They then looked at Chelsea and Zackary who were also well at synch. They then looked at Meilin who was performing fast, too fast for Syaoran to keep up.
"It's not a race, Meilin. Stop acting like you're better than everyone." Said Syaoran
"I'm not playing too fast, you're playing too slow." Said Meilin.
"Look like those have a lot to work on." Said Madison.
Later at home Sakura was enjoying the food Tori made.
"So you and Madison are having a recorder test together?" Said Tori
"Yep, and We're not gonna fail this test." Said Sakura
"Well, the two of you are best friends, it should be that hard." Said Dad
"Well, we're both good at recorder now so it should be too hard."
Later in Sakura's Bedroom, Sakura told Kero about the test.
"Well, the two of you have been together for quite a while, this should be a piece of cake! Hmmm...cake..."
"Well, It's a good thing I haven't gotten rusty after the test from along ago." Said Sakura.
"And it a good thing you still sharp in your cardcaptor skills, you may never know when you might have to fuse with a card." Said Kero
"Syaoran and Meilin were off synch though, Meilin was trying to play super-fast and thought that Syaoran was playing to slow."
"Huh...I thought two brats would make a good pair."
"Well, I better go to bed, don't want to be groggy and be slow on Madison's playing."
The next day, Lindsay came into the music room and opened the box of recorders.
"I noticed you and Madison are off synch, i know how to improve that." She put a hand in front as a shadowy aura surrounded the recorders.
Sakura and Madison being playing and have gotten better than yesterday, but they were still off some notes.
"We have gotten better since yesterday, but we still need to improve for tomorrow." Said Sakura Then she got a feeling.
"Something wrong Sakura?" Asked Madison.
"I thought I sensed something. Probably from that Spellcaster." Said Sakura.
"And that concludes the day! Tomorrow is the test!" Said the Music teacher.
Sakura raised a hand "Can Madison and I practice late for the test?" Said Sakura.
"Of course."
Later at night the Sakura and Madison were practicing their synch but they were not quite ready yet.
"I wish we could stay here longer Sakura, but it's getting late." Madison Said
"You're right, better go home."
The girls put their recorders in the box. As they were walking down the hallway, Sakura noticed something.
"I sensed it again! It's coming from the music room!" Sakura Said.
They went back into the room and saw the recorders were floating in the air.
"Are those recorders floating?" Asked Madison.
"I knew I sensed something!"
Some of the recorders flew at Sakura she dodged them barley as they hit a wall while she made an awkward pose but then saw Madison being chased by them.
"Sakura Help!"
The recorders flew at Madison, but Sakura push her out of the way.
"Are you O.K.?"
"Yeah"
The recorders continued to chase after the girls as they ran out of the room.
"This is just like the Piano that chased after me!" Sad Madison
"Wait, Madison, you just gave me an idea!" Said Sakura. "Let's head for the roof."
So, they walked up the stairs to the roof.
"So what's the plan? Madison asked.
"We're gonna practice our synch!" Sakura pulled out her key.
"Key of the Star, With powers burning bright, Reveal the staff, and shine your light! Release!" The key turned into a staff which Sakura grabbed and twirled.
"Song!" The music spirit emerged into its trueform. and Sakura casted the spell.
"Under the power of the staff that I spun, I command you to fuse to become one! Song!"
Song turned into a pink ball of light and merged with Sakura. After the fusion, Sakura's hair was curly and pink and had a musical headband like the one Song wore.
The recorders bursted through the door but they stopped as if they noticed something about their targets.
"Ready Madison?"
"Ready Sakura!"
The girls cleared their throats and once again Madison sung the song on the roof, this time with Sakura.
"A twinkle in the night sky far far away.
A golden star I gaze upon in my dreams."
The recorders looked at each other wondering what was going on.
"On a sleepless evening I sing alone,
Tomorrow I'll sing with you on the wings of a dream."
The recorders were starting to enjoy the song Sakura and Madison were singing. "I knew they like it!" Sakura thought.
"On a sleepless evening I sing alone.
Tomorrow I'll sing with you on the wings of a dream."
Soon enough, the recorders started to join in the song.
"A twinkle in the night sky far far away.
A golden star I gaze upon in my dreams.
On a sleepless evening I sing alone,
Tomorrow I'll sing with you on the wings of a dream.
On a sleepless evening I sing alone.
Tomorrow I'll sing with you on the wings of a dream."
The recorders floated back downstairs, back into the music room, and back into the box.
"We did it!" The girls cheered.
"And we did it in perfect Sych!" Said Madison
"Well I did get a little help from the Song card." Said Sakura.
The next day Sakura and Madison played their recorders in perfect synch.
"Well done you two you both passed!" Said the music teacher
"It's all thanks to fusing with the Song card!" Said Sakura.
"What? A C-?" Meilin whined.
"I told you it wasn't a race," Said Syaoran
Meilin sighed "Well at least we didn't fail."
