Season One Episode Thirteen: The FSFTG Fall Ball

The Fart School for the Gifted Fall Ball was coming up, and Scamp was looking at a poster advertising the event in the hallway. He never attended any school dances before due to feeling like no one would want him there. But he knew this time would be different. Not only because he had several new friends by his side, but because one of them was a girl. He wasn't quite sure what romance felt like, but he didn't think that would hurt too much with his current intentions. It was then he heard Oliver's voice. "Hey, Scamp!"

Scamp looked to see Oliver and Angel walking over to him, and he instantly ran up and hugged both of them. They both laughed with Angel calling out the swiftness of the hug. "At ease, loser. We're not going anywhere."

Scamp let go as he started the conversation about the upcoming dance. "You guys excited for the dance coming up? It sounds like a lot of fun."

"Pretty much everything sounds like fun to you." Angel pointed out, and Scamp shrugged due to not having an argument. Not that he wanted to argue with that anyway.

Oliver was also excited for the dance, due to having never been to a school before. "It would be great to see how everyone at school handles a night of romance. I just hope it's not awkward for me to go without a date."

"Try viewing it as going with yourself. You're your own date." Scamp suggested, and Oliver started thinking about how that advice worked. Scamp then got to asking Angel, feeling the two of them would have fun together. "Speaking of dates, you wanna go to the dance with me, Angel?"

Angel was surprised by this offer, especially with how straightforward Scamp was about it. She loved the idea of going with him, but she wasn't sure she'd be able to handle a night about love. "You sure? I'm not good at all that sappy love crap."

Scamp laughed a bit before assuring Angel that's not what he meant. "Neither am I. I just felt I'd ask, since it's the first dance I'm going to."

Seeing how happy Scamp was about this, Angel decided to take up the offer. She and Scamp felt a little something else during this moment, but they couldn't quite pinpoint what it was. All they knew is that they wanted to go together. And asking each other just felt so easy. "I guess it could be fun. Just don't let them play 'Baby' by Justin Bieber for a song or I'll vomit."

"I don't think that'll be an issue. Lucky's writing a song for it, so they might be letting us play the music tonight." Oliver suggested, and Angel sighed of relief before Oliver joked about hers and Scamp's night at the dance. "Let me know if you guys need a third wheel to stop you from kissing." Scamp and Angel started laughing with Oliver, and it made them look even more forward to the dance. Having someone to laugh with really was a treat.

Meanwhile, Tod and Copper were in the auditorium for morning rehearsals, and Copper was watching Tod rehearse a scene of Jack saving Chisel from a rogue monster. After Jack slayed the monster with a diving stab, he went over to Chisel and helped her stand. "Are you okay?"

"Yes, I believe so. Thank you, Jack." Kevin said, and that was when a roar was heard from nearby.

Jack picked up Chisel and started running off with her for protection. "No time to waste! We gotta get you back to the carriage!"

After Tod and Chisel ran off stage, Dixie and the rest of the crowd cheered for the two as they came off stage. "Well done, you two! You're sure as hell gonna blow the crowd sky high at the play at the end of the month!"

"I should hope so." Tod said, taking his costume off as he said something that Copper noticed as a vague notion towards his own issues. In the usual Divo personality he got whenever he was in the auditorium. "When we reach the scene where Jack fails to save Nigel from the fire trap, the anguish I pour into Jack's voice will make my parents cry." To anyone else, that would be excitement for your parents to see you on stage. But to Copper, it was Tod vaguely showing his desire to prove he was worth something.

Copper started to feel bad for Tod, but was then confronted by Kevin, who started a conversation with him. "Hey Copper. You doing okay?"

Copper did have something else on his mind. Not wanting to go against Tod's wishes, he mentioned this to Kevin. "Yeah, I'm okay. Just feeling kind of awkward about... well, you know. That one scene."

Kevin grinned as they sat next to Copper while keeping the seat by the walkway next to him open for Tod. "You mean the one where Tod and I lock our succulent lips in front of the entire audience." Copper flinched and blushed bright red with Kevin snickering a bit, making sure Tod wasn't watching as they elaborated. "Relax, everyone here knows you're Gay. And that Tod somehow hasn't figured out you like him yet."

"Is it really that obvious?" Copper asked, and Kevin nodded their head yes before Copper sighed, admitting to his feelings for him. "Okay, fine. I like him. And I wanna ask him to the dance, but I don't know how I should do it."

Kevin wasn't sure what to say in that moment, since they've never had romantic feelings before. "I can't say I'd be much help there."

"Fair enough. I guess I should just ask him." Copper admitted, and that was when he and Kevin saw something else.

Tod was arguing with Zelda over getting his coffee order wrong again. "You somehow remember everything else, but you always forget what milk I want in my damn coffee! It's not rocket science, Zelda!"

"Look, it's a lot of orders to remember at once, okay!?" Zelda reminded Tod. "There's almost a dozen kids in this club. I can't be expected to get all their drinks perfectly."

"Then write it down, and you'll have no problem remembering when you head inside; problem solved!" Tod advised Zelda, being fed up with her somehow always messing up his order.

After Dixie stepped in to get Tod to calm down and defend Zelda, Copper realized there was something else he should address before then. "But first, I should probably talk to him about how he acts when we're in the Auditorium."

"Yeah." Kevin said in agreement, hoping that after he did, Tod would tone down his Divo attitude over time.

Tripod was finishing up a run on the track team, and after they got a good look at their times, a Border Collie spanked Tripod to congratulate him. "Nice work, Tripod! Ready for another round?"

Tripod smiled and blushed softly, getting a little nervous as he responded. "Thanks, River. But I'm kinda thirsty. I'll be back out in a bit."

"Sure. I just hope we can run away today." River responded kindly, and he headed out to continue his running as Tripod smiled upon hearing that finish.

Tripod went over to the bleachers for some water. After he did, Lucky popped up from behind the bleachers and startled him. "Break fart!"

Tripod laughed a bit after he heard Lucky's request, deciding to go ahead and endulge him before getting to his water. "Alright, sure. I've got time before my next run anyway." Lucky and Tripod gave each other competitive grins as they looked at each other. And when they did, their butts were shown as the two Dalmatians lifted them and grunted as they ripped...

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP
BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP

two loud and bassy twenty second farts, allowing their vibrating butts to unleash yellow clouds of rotten eggs, which they were quite proud of. The two then laughed it off while wafting the fart clouds away to keep them away from the track. Some of the other track members laughed at the incident as well, and when Lucky and Tripod heard them, Lucky happily boasted about his own fart. "I would've destroyed you if that were a contest."

"Tch. Please. The only thing you'd destroy is your guitar pitch." Tripod shot at Lucky, who had a special retort in mind for him as he drank his water.

"Oh yeah? Well at least I can play a guitar." Lucky's jab at Tripod made him shoot water out of his nose from laughing. Lucky smiled proudly as Tripod laughed, sipping some more of his water when he was done. After he swallowed his water, he started looking at the other track team members who were still running. Lucky noticed him getting dreamy eyed during this, seeing that he had a crush out on the field. He couldn't help himself when it came to asking. "Ooooooh, a date for the dance I see?"

Tripod flinched as Lucky asked him about this, and Lucky assured him he wouldn't judge him for it. "Come on, dude, I won't bite. Unless you want me to anyway."

"Not while you and Roxie are a thing." Tripod joked, and Lucky chuckled a bit before Tripod tried to think of how to name off who he was looking at. "It's kind of... complicated." Tripod looked out to the kids still running track again. In particular, his eye was set on River, who was doing quite well. "It's River."

Lucky was surprised by this, mainly because he knew Tripod for years without picking up on this. "But River's-"

"A dude. I know." Tripod interrupted, and then he sighed before coming out to Lucky. "Lucky. I'm... I'm Gay."

Lucky wasn't expecting a revelation like that to come today. Still, he wanted to show Tripod that he was there for him. With a supportive smile, he followed up on his feelings for River. "You want some tips on how to ask him out?"

Tripod was grateful for this offer, pulling on his sweatband and letting it smack on his head to get himself pumped up. After he did, he gave Lucky his response. "That'd be great! But before we do, how good are you at being romantic with Roxie?"

"I'm pretty good when we're on actual dates or alone together." Lucky answered, understanding why Tripod wanted to know that first.

After lunch, Scamp was picking a flower outside of the schoolyard for Angel. Since it was a red rose, he accidentally poked his finger because he forgot about the thorns. After sucking his finger a bit, he made his way to Oliver and Angel. They were over by their usual playground bench with Scamp happily calling to them. "Hey guys; I'm back!" Scamp ended up tripping on a big rock near one of the trees, causing him to crash and slide off of one of the benches. After rolling over to his friends, he sat up, pulled the rose off of him, and winced before smiling. "I'm good!"

Scamp handed the rose to Angel, which Copper noticed as he was sitting with Tod. Angel expressed gratitude while also being surprised by such a gesture. "Thanks, Scamp. What made you go out of your way to get this?"

"I just thought you'd like it." Scamp admitted, despite knowing Angel wasn't much of a flower girl. "And it felt like a good thing to do before tonight."

Copper smiled when he saw this, and Oliver spoke up about the scenario. "It is a night about romance for the school."

After that, the bell rang, and Copper started a conversation with Tod as they did. "Hey, Tod? Can we talk? It's about how you behave in the Auditorium."

Tod gave Copper his full attention, showing that he took his concerns seriously. "What about it?"

"Well... you get kind of, intense when we're in there." Copper admitted, leaving Tod to ponder how he starts feeling in there when Copper continued. "At least when it's for the Drama club. I guess the best place to start is how you treat Zelda." Copper then thought to himself about when to ask Tod to the dance before continuing. 'Just as planned, Copper. Ask him after you address this.'

Tod was opening his locker as Copper was revealed to be talking to him about how he was mistreating Zelda. "Just try to treat her with more respect, okay?" Tod started looking at himself in the mirror; and as always, he was fabulous. He was listening to Copper during this as well. "I'm sure she's trying her best. She probably just finds it hard to remember every order she gets exactly."

Tod gave Copper's words some thought after hearing them. Copper did have a point. And he didn't know anything about memorizing orders either. Besides his own and Copper's of course. "Yeah, I guess you're right." He then got his next assignment ready for his next class. "It's just that, when I'm in that theater... I feel like I have to let them know I mean business. That I won't take any shit lying down." Tod tried to contain himself as a flash of his mother putting him down came into his mind. Copper noticed his voice crack. "Not like I do at home."

Copper knew touching Tod would make him blush like mad, so he stayed where he was to continue helping him. "I know you have your hang ups about letting people know what you feel inside. Just do what you can to tone down your Divo traits." Tod composed himself as Copper continued with his advice. "You don't have to stop telling her if she got your order wrong. Just don't be a dick about it."

"I could try NOT throwing my coffee on the ground when she gets the wrong milk in it." Tod suggested, and Copper's smile showed that it was a good start. Tod doubted he would perfect it in due time, but he was glad he was getting somewhere. "Thanks, Copper. I can always count on you to help me." Copper was glad to hear that, even as Tod looked around and said another thing after he did. "Hey, um, I hope this doesn't sound selfish, but you know how I feel about others knowing about my home life. I'd prefer we didn't talk about this at school."

"Not selfish at all. I totally understand." Copper assured Tod, And then something else crossed his mind at that moment. 'I think it's safe to assume Tod understands. Now let's just hope I can say this next part just as easily.' Before Tod left for class, Copper got his attention for his next question. "Oh, Tod! Before we go to class."

Tod was more than happy to talk to Copper, even if it had to be quick. "Sure, but fair warning, I don't think Ms. Lee Ralph will let me get away with arriving fashionably late again."

Copper tried to find the right words to say, but he ended up starting a gay panic as he did. "Right. Well, um... you see, it's about, um..." Copper's gut rumbled a bit, showing just how nervous this was making him. 'Damn it, Copper. Now's not the time to fart.'

Tod put a paw on Copper's shoulder for comfort. However, this ended up making Copper more flustered. "Hey, it's okay, Copper. You can tell me anything."

"Right, I know. It's just that..." Copper still struggled to find the right words to say. And his butt started rumbling as he tried to get it out. "You know how...? I mean, I just..." Tod started to worry about Copper due to how much he was struggling to speak. And then... "I was wondering if-"

PHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHT

...a loud and bassy twenty second fart left Copper's vibrating butt and covered the hallway with a big yellow cloud of rotten eggs. Copper wafted the fart away desperately as he blushed bright red and looked at Tod, who took out some of his cologne to help him defuse the smell. It was so strong however, that everyone in the hallway either coughed, gagged, or passed out from the odor. Copper quickly came up with an excuse to get out of that humiliating situation. "I'M SO SORRY! I HAVE TO USE THE BATHROOM!"

Copper rushed off with Tod reaching out to him in an attempt to comfort him. This made Tod start to feel bad, worrying if what he did made Copper upset. Even though the boundary was understandable. He couldn't help questioning if he was too hard on him. The fact that they were talking about how he acted in the Drama club made him fear his tone was off too. Out of self loathing, he slammed his locker shut and went to class, ignoring the fart smell as he muttered to himself. "Stupid me, wanting boundaries to try and feel like I'm worth shit."

Lucky was talking to Tripod in the bathroom as he helped him get ready for asking River out. He used his talk with Copper from last month to help him structure this. "Let's get the most important part out of the way first. Do you and River hang out a lot?"

Tripod smiled as he thought about how much time he and River spent together. Especially during school hours. "We sure do. Outside of the track team, we eat lunch together with our friends, and since his house is on the way, I always walk home with him before getting picked up by mum and dad."

"That explains why we always stop by that random-ass house in Angel's neighborhood." Lucky said, having a good memory of what the house looked like. "So you know where he lives. Has he ever let you inside?"

"Sometimes, yeah. After we get permission from mum and dad." Tripod answered, and then he started thinking about what he and River did together. "Every time, we'd use his gym. And whenever I use the big weights, he'd always stand there for me in case my arm gave out during my hold."

Lucky started flashing back to when Tripod was breaking his record of hay bale lifting at the barn, and Lucky was his spotter. He took his job very seriously due to how hurt Tripod could've gotten. "Why does that sound so familiar?"

Tripod laughed a bit upon remembering that day too. He then gave some more context on what River was about. "He's always ready to watch a movie together if I have dinner at his place." Lucky started to wonder how he didn't know all this stuff about River. It feels like stuff he should've known by now. "Of course, me being me, I can't help farting while I'm over there, especially in my sleep. But he doesn't mind."

Lucky looked at Tripod to quickly address his concerns. "Should I have... asked, about River before today?"

"Nah, I get it if you're not interested." Tripod assured Lucky, even though that wasn't exactly the case. "I mean, I'd appreciate it sure, but you should only ask if you want to."

Lucky nodded to himself and decided to start asking more about River when he could. He wanted Tripod to know that, as one of his closest friends, he was interested in his life. "I'll keep that in mind." Lucky got back on track with the exact thing Copper did for him when they talked about Roxie. "Now for the big one. What does River love about you?"

Tripod thought good and hard about that, and managed to come up with quite a bit. "Well... he loves that I'm so outgoing, and that I don't let my stump hold me back. And as I mentioned, he's okay with me letting out my gross side around him." Lucky smiled when he saw how happy Tripod was when it came to River. "He also loves how even though I'm always competing with you, I'm really humble with the rest of my team."

"Wish I had that last one." Lucky admitted, and Tripod placed his paw on Lucky's shoulder as he spoke up about how to ask him out. "Do you know if he's into guys?" Tripod nodded his head no, giving Lucky another idea in mind. "That complicates things a bit. Maybe we should leave a note in his locker. That way, he can't say no until the dance!"

Tripod wasn't entirely sure about the idea, but since he didn't have any ideas, he went for it. "That doesn't make a lot of sense, but it'd better than the nothing I've got."

"Then let's get to writing!" Lucky suggested proudly, heading out of the bathroom with Tripod to get started on the letter. Lucky then looked back into the bathroom and saw a bunch of balloons filled with slime. He smirked as he thought of the outcome of this. "That girlfriend stealing bastard's gonna regret the time he turned me pink." He then rushed off to get to the letter for River.

Scamp was leaving fifth period with Copper, who started talking to him about asking Tod out. "Hey Scamp. You have a minute?"

"I sure do! And I'd rather spend it here than giving Coach Pug twenty two." Scamp responded while also jabbing at gym class.

Copper hoped this wouldn't be too sudden of a thing to ask Scamp, since he saw him give that rose to Angel. "Do you think you can help me ask Tod to the Fart School for the Gifted Fall Ball?" Scamp was intrigued by this, and Copper explained why he asked him. "I saw you give that rose to Angel. You clearly asked her. I wanna do the same with Tod, but I don't know how to do it without getting all nervous."

Scamp didn't have to think long to give Copper an answer. "You and Tod have known each other since you were young, right?"

"Yeah. Five years to be exact. The day after Chief adopted me." Copper answered, remembering that day fondly.

Scamp smiled as he put a paw on Copper's shoulder while giving his advice. "Then you shouldn't think too hard about what he'll say. You clearly mean a lot to each other. If you ask him, I'm sure he'll say yes." Copper wasn't sure about that, until Scamp gave his method of asking Angel. Thinking about going with Angel made Scamp smile even more. He just loved the idea of going with her so much. It made his next words to Copper feel all the more true. "After all, I asked Angel because the two of us are close. Why would it be any different with Tod?"

That got Copper thinking. He and Tod were very close. Maybe Scamp was right. Based on his logic, there's no reason Tod would say no. "I guess that makes sense. Thanks, Scamp." Scamp nodded his head yes and headed off, leaving Copper to think about what he said. Was their bond alone really enough to justify asking Tod to the dance?

After school, Copper was waiting by a bridge he walked home on, wanting to walk home with Tod. While waiting for him, Tod suddenly ran up to him and hugged him. "I'm so sorry!" Copper could barely focus on Tod's words due to becoming a blushing, flustered mess upon being hugged. "I should've known that was too much to ask of you! We can talk about the bad stuff wherever you want!"

Copper was stunned to hear that, and he pulled Tod away when asking about that. "Wait. You thought I was upset about that?"

"Why else would you have run off like that after becoming a nervous wreck?" Tod asked, showing that he wasn't good at reading people's actions when it came to love. "You were obviously suppressing your anger from me not wanting to talk about this stuff at school."

"No no no no; I understand why you didn't want to." Copper assured Tod, wanting him to know how he really felt about that. "And I didn't want to start a conversation about it. I just brought it up to show that I understand why you act out during Drama club."

Tod was beyond relieved to find that he didn't make Copper angry. If there was one thing he cared about more than the spotlight, it was him. He then started to wonder what Copper's sudden mood shift was all about. "Then, why did you start acting the way you did after I set that boundary?"

"Because I wasn't acting that way because of the boundary." Copper answered, explaining why he really acted out when he started rubbing his arm. "It's about... something else on my mind." Tod allowed Copper to explain, waiting patiently as he did. After breathing in through his nose and out from his mouth, Copper got to asking Tod to the dance. "You know how the Fart School for the Gifted Fall Ball is coming up?"

Tod started to understand what Copper was trying to say. He just hoped he was guessing it right. "Are you asking me to go with you?"

Copper hesitated, not because Tod was wrong, because he wasn't. His skittish nature just prevented him from answering immediately. "Um... y-yeah. I am." Copper started to Gay Panic when he thought about Tod not wanting to go. "If you want to of course. I understand if you don't, I just thought it'd be-"

"I'd love to!" Tod exclaimed with pure joy, making Copper ecstatic as Tod then composed himself. He then calmly, but happily, explained his willingness to go with Copper. "I think it'd be a great time. I was actually hoping to ask you, but I didn't know if you'd be into dances and balls."

Copper was satisfied with his answer, and he and Tod started blushing as Copper pointed down the road. "Do you... wanna walk home together?"

"Always." Tod answered, and he started walking home with Copper, both of whom were glad to be by each others' side. Copper almost reached to hold Tod's paw, but he backed out before grabbing it. He wasn't ready to confess his feelings yet. He hoped this dance would be a step towards the moment he managed to do so. For now, he was just happy to be in Tod's life.

Later that night, everyone was at the Fart School for the Gifted Fall Ball with Lucky preparing for his song as Patch wheeled over to him. "Have you taken into account what would happen if River happens to be Heterosexual?"

"He'll let Tripod off easy if he is." Lucky assured Patch, giving a thumbs up to Tripod, who did his best to look handsome as River walked over to him. The two of them talked as Lucky finished tuning his guitar. As he and Patch watched, Lucky expressed excitement for his solo. "My first school gig. This could be my big break!"

"A performance during a middle school dance doesn't strike me as the place 'big breaks' would happen." Patch admitted, having a distinct feeling this wouldn't be where Lucky's big break happened. "The most you'll get out of this is knowing that you've gone beyond performing in the park."

Lucky gave Patch a deadpan expression before picking up a cupcake and sticking it to his head. Roxie then walked over to Lucky, kissing his cheek to wish him good luck. "Good luck, sweetie."

Lucky looked to see that Tripod and River were starting to hit it off quite well. Tripod silently mouthed 'Thank you' to Lucky, and he told him 'You're welcome', in the same way before responding to Roxie. "Thanks, Rox. But I already have enough luck." Lucky gave a kiss to Roxie before heading off as Patch smiled supportively when watching him head over to the stage.

Scamp and Angel were talking as Lucky got ready to sing, and both of them couldn't be happier to be there together. Despite still not being quite sure what their current feelings meant, Scamp was still very open about how much he loved being there with her. The fact that he was rambling again made that clear. "And since it's your first time being at a school dance too, that means we're experiencing it for the first time together! First experiences are always fun when doing it with someone you care about."

Angel didn't mind that Scamp had a lot to say. In fact, she found the fact that he was giving her so much attention to be very validating. When Lucky stepped up to the mic and spoke up, she got an idea. "Hope you're all enjoying the night, everyone! I've got a song for you that's bound to amplify the love in the air! I'm playin' this bitch!"

Scamp and Angel laughed at Lucky's finisher as Angel offered Scamp her paw. "You wanna dance?"

"Sure. But I've never slow danced before." Scamp admitted, taking Angel's paw and walking out onto the dance field with her. He laughed a bit as he remembered something else. "Oh, right. You haven't either." Angel laughed herself as she and Scamp reached a good spot on the dance floor.

Lucky started playing his guitar as he got ready to sing his song. He gave a thumbs up to Oliver before then, and Oliver gave one back. Then, Lucky started singing This New Feeling. "I don't know what this feeling is. But I kind of like it. It feels like a new part of me. And it makes a perfect fit." Scamp and Angel smiled at each other as they thought about Lucky's song. "Even though I'm confused... it feels like it belongs with me. I'm not sure what will happen... but I guess I'm gonna see."

Tod and Copper, who didn't have the courage to confess their feelings yet, sat together and smiled at each other. Copper was also playing with a fork in his paws. "I don't know when I'll speak up. I think about it whenever I look at you." Tod placed his paw on Copper's, making him smile and blush as he smiled as well. "It's when that feeling comes back, and feels more familiar than new." Lucky was shown smiling as he looked over the crowd. "A night of romance would be perfect, to tell you how I feel. I think I'm starting to realize that this new feeling is real."

Scamp and Angel then realized they were holding each others' paws during the dancing, which made then blush a bit upon noticing. "This new feeling is confusing, I'm not sure what to say. But it makes more and more sense as I go day by day." Scamp and Angel smiled together and looked at each other as they got closer to realizing why they felt this way. "I think it started with just how happy I was, to be, with you."

Lucky looked over to Roxie, who made him feel like he was capable of expressing this loving side of him again, despite the struggles in their relationship. He got a brief glimpse of Mooch and Two-tone coming in and wiping off slime, which Lucky gave a proud grin at the sight of before getting back to his song. "This new feeling is confusing, but damn does it feel good. I think I'm feeling the very way that I should." The next line led to Scamp and Angel looking at each other with loving eyes. "I hope that you feel the same way about this that I do."

Lucky continued with the second final set of lyrics. "This new feeling. I never thought of it before. But now that I have it, I can say it's something that I adore. It makes me feel whole. Even more than I did prior. Especially since I now have someone in my life who I admire. It's a different kind of love than my family, and a different one than a close friend you see. It feels like something I didn't even know was lost."

Lucky saw Tripod and River dancing together, and Lucky smiled out of joy for him. For some reason, his lip quivered a little. But he just interpreted that as him being happy to be up there and continued singing. "Being with you makes me smile in a brand new way, and it gives me a lot of things that I want to say. Something tells me I won't ask 'but at what cost?'."

Lucky then sang the last verse of the song, which had Scamp and Angel realizing what they felt deep down for each other. "This new feeling is confusing, I'm not sure what to say. But it makes more and more sense as I go day by day. I think it started with just how happy I was, to be, with you. This new feeling is confusing, but damn does it feel good. I think I'm feeling the very way that I should. I hope that you feel the same way about this that I do."

Lucky finished his song with one final repeat of the last words, playing his guitar in the strum to it. "I hope that you feel, the same way about this... that I do."

Once Lucky was done, Scamp and Angel looked at each other, having realized what they've been feeling for each other: Love. Lucky's song described them discovering their new feelings perfectly, and they both had their own reactions to it. Scamp was ecstatic, glad that he was able to feel something like this for someone. Angel was happy as well, but she was also scared. She worried that something would happen to keep her from Scamp. Just like everyone else she got close to before. She was able to hide her fear, but inside, she worried about losing Scamp.

Scamp decided to act on his feelings in a vague way so he had more time to spend with Angel. "Hey. Angel." Angel looked at Scamp, who smiled as he made his next decision on impulse. "This may sound crazy, but... do you wanna come over for Thanksgiving?"

Angel loved the sound of going to Scamp's house for a holiday. It had to better than whatever Buster had in store. She felt so much safer around Scamp than with him. And even if Buster went, Tramp would probably take up most of his time anyway. Angel smiled, and she and Scamp gave each other fond eyes as she gave her answer. "I'd love to." Scamp's tail started wagging when he heard that. Angel's tail started wagging too. Their friends were shown smiling for them during this moment as the screen faded to black, ending the episode off.
