Tales of Demiyah Oliver Book 2: Sailor Moon
Chapter 6: Storm of Nature! I Dream of Loonatics?:
The following Saturday, Demiyah was up early flipping through the channels on the TV. Several of her favorite series were on hiatus and she only had so many VHS tapes or the odd DVD of her favorite shows from the eighties to the nineties. When she stopped on Kids WB she saw something familiar she thought. It almost looked like the Looney Tunes. Only, they were superheroes? She left it on and watched the show called Loonatics Unleashed. Maybe she could learn more about her Toon powers from it?
By the time the episode ended, Artemis walked in. He asked, "What was that?" Demiyah said, "Supposedly the descendants of the Looney Tunes fighting bad guys as a superhero team. Something tells me their a lot closer than descendants. Toons are immortal unless they are Dipped. Thinner is dilluted Dip so it would take a lot more to kill a Toon. As for the show, I like it. I'm gonna ask mom to make me a set of Loonatic Unleashed dolls." Artemis said, "We discovered another Sailor Scout. One Luna desperately wanted to keep hidden." Demiyah looks at her Advisor and asked, "Which one?" Artemis said, "Sailor Gaia the Sailor Scout for this planet. We have also located Sailor Jupiter and the first Rainbow Crystal." The seven year old Moon Princess gave the Mauan her full attention. "The girls are on their way over. So we can activate the two before Sailor Neptune can. As we have confirmed she's active. Uranus not just yet. But the same spell on Uranus' Transformation Rod is on Neptune's. Luna activated Neptune to kill Sailor Saturn." Demiyah flopped on her back and groaned as Kim dropped an Ace Bunny doll on her stomach. Demiyah held it blinking. Kim said, "Trista told me. I have half the team done. Give me a little while longer for Duck, Slam, and Lexi. I know Wile E Coyote, Bugs Bunny, and Roadrunner were the Looney Tunes shorts you laughed loudest at so I made them first."
Demiyah was holding her Tech E. Coyote, Rev Runner, and Ace Bunny plushes as her team walked in. She said, "Jupiter has been found so has another Scout, Neptune was activated by Luna and spelled, Uranus could be spelled too, and the first Rainbow Crystal was found." Raye asked, "How do we find the Scouts?" Artemis said, "The Data Computer I gave Amy. It'll also detect the Rainbow Crystals." Amy looked at the Data Computer and said, "Sailor Gaia is at the school in the greenhouses reserved for the Gardening Club. Jupiter is the Home Economics room working on stuff for the School Bake Sale." Demiyah nodded, "Alright. We go get Sailor Gaia first. Then Jupiter. Artemis your job with Klarion is to stall Neptune as much as possible until we can activate Jupiter and possibly Uranus if my hunch on who she is as a civilian is correct."
In the school greenhouses Amy looked at the screen of her Data Computer and said, "Sailor Gaia is in Greenhouse 4." Demiyah went into the Greenhouse and said to Mina, "The only one in here is...oh okay. Hey Krista duty calls again. Though not Ranger duty. A totally new one." Krista still clad in her teal shirt and denim shorts said, "Lay it on me little sis." So, Demiyah explained about the Sailor Scouts and the Silver Millennium. Krista sighed, "The way I see it the only thing to do is agree and join in on the battles and training. Where do I start?" Artemis padded up giving her the transformation wand for Sailor Gaia and a communicator. "The next meeting is Sunday as it's a three day weekend due to Monday being a scheduled System Matinence Day. We will be discussing what We know from the last one and catching you newer recruits up." Artemis said, "Who's the next closest Amy?" Amy consulted the Data Computer and said, "Uranus is the next closest. Lucky for us Neptune isn't on this side of the school campus." Demiyah and the girls walked over to the track and watched Amara Tanner who was on the school track team. Artemis confirmed that she was Sailor Uranus. Once practice was over the group explained the full truth to the Scout of Wind and Speed. Michelle ran over and saw them had Amara a transformation wand that Luna hadn't handed her. Michelle flew into a rage tansforming into Sailor Neptune. Openly attacking Demiyah directly. Trent and the other Rangers were on the Teack Field after the first explosion. Demiyah's molten gold eyes steeled. A white pegasus sprite coming out of her jacket hood. The pair shared a look as Demiyah said, "Lyria, Take To The Skies!" Lyria was sucked into the Pegasus Miraculous making the Track team and several other bystanders look on in awe. Many of the older students remembered the strange hero who helped the Zeo Rangers in Angel Grove. To find out it was Demiyah gave many who were doubting they could be a good as the older Rangers, the hope that when the time came that they could be just as awesome! Demiyah knew her Superpower could heal enemies. But right now she and Neptune were enemies. "Heartspirt!" Prismatic snow white hearts burst from her wand as white light glowed around the area. Those who had been injured during the initial attack Neptune set off were healed and Neptune was out cold. Demiyah transformed back as she quickly deactivated Michelle's transformation.
Once they got her to Medical who confiscated the Transformation wand while putting her in Spell Based Quarantine the group of now Seven Scouts strong went to find Jupiter. Lita Kenningston listened intently to what she had been told. Given she lived with her Mom's cousin Anton Mercer as of that year since none of her relatives would take her after the deaths of her Grandparents. Who were her guardians following the disaster of the Cyborg Ranger Disaster where her parents were two of the people to lose their lives. Since then she had relatives take her in only to turn her into a slave and attempt to steal her inheritance from her parents and recently her grandparents. They left everything to Lita with the same lawyer her parents arranged to oversee the inheritance she recieved from them until she turned 18 years old. The lawyer was Lucas Fredericks the mortal guise of Loki. He had with Lita's aproval used a portion to invest. It was her inheritance so she had the final say in what to do with it. Demiyah was set to meet with him that afternoon to discuss merchandising rights for the Scouts.
Demiyah felt nervous. Not for the fact she would be meeting a lawyer, but that the man was her Silver Millennium father! She did read a book about the Crescent Moon Wand to pass the wait time while sipping a drink the receptionist gave her. She discovered she could use the Wand to call the Rainbow Crystals to her while keeping the hosts free from their monster forms! But she had to do it during a full moon. She made a mental note to check when that was on her calendar at home. They were called back and sent into an office where Loki walked in. Demiyah revealed her Crescent Moon and the Wand making Loki hug her with tears in his eyes. After a long talk they reached an agreement that would be solidified during the Sunday Scout Meeting. With further notice on how long until the meeting where they would hammer out the alliance with Power Rangers. Kimberly saw Caroline skulking about and called SPD. Sky and Syd were there arresting Caroline again withing ten minutes. They had the permits to pump her full of truth serum's to get what she had been planning out her. The Scouts, Natsumi, the Dino Rangers, Kimberly, Loki, and Tommy were invited to sit with Demiyah and watch the interrogation happen.
In the SPD holding cell Caroline was given water with a tasteless oderless form of Veritaserum devloped by the Rangers. The Department of Magic had the Aurors use this version in criminal cases. Without realising it, Caroline ingested the potion that would seal her fate for the time being.
Hearing Caroline's plans made Demiyah freaked out. They planned to kidnap her and force her into a ritual just so Caroline could have her way and she would have braces? Why would she be so barbaric?! Syd even asked, "Why would you do that to your own granddaughter?!" Caroline said, "My master Lord Diomedes didn't care how I broke her. So for my partner in crime suggesting using her as an equivalent to the Winter Soldier would be the bonus. The fact I can't stand her natural beauty is just a plus so I could be better than her." Sky said, "She's seven years old. What's next, gonna force the illegal mutant 'cure' on her?" Caroline said, "I tried that two years ago. The little brat faked being sick." Bridge said, "Actually her medical records state she's allergic to three out of the five components of the illegal 'cure' so it was your fault." Caroline said, "Okay I admit it, I knew she was allergic to it the entire time. So what, she dies, I get some scientist to revive her. Then I get what I want. An obedient little child to mold as I saw fit. So what if my daughter has to bury a child? Serves the bitch right! She couldn't follow my orders so she isn't allowed happiness." The officers cuffed Caroline and dragged her while she was cussing at Kimberly and Demiyah calling them all sorts of slurs. Officers and even other criminals were glaring daggers at her. One guy said, "You want her gone just tell me . I know several guys." Kimberly said, "At this point I'm tempted to take the dude up on his offer if it means my daughter's safety from that nutjob!" Jack said dryly, "I doubt a court would even try you since she was recently declared 'Insane and a threat to Society as A Whole' so you and whoever deos her in would probably recieve medals." Demiyah stated bluntly, "They'd get a very nice fruit basket from me and flowers." Z said, "And there you go."
Cruger spent hours looking through SPD regulations to see if there was a legal way to dispose of Caroline without seeming like bad guys. There was one really old rule. Probably during SPD's initial run on Sirius. It stated one could challenge a criminal to an honor duel for another. Honor Duels would be dealt with away from the public eye since they usually ended at either First Blood or To The Death. It was usually done on behalf of those who were family. So technically Godsiblings were counted among those numbers. Meaning they had to find Charlie so she could act on her godsister's behalf.
That night cuddling her Loonatics Unleashed dolls, Demiyah dreamed of herself a few years older. She was training with Ace Bunny. Playing Video Games with Lexi. Roughhousing with Duck. Building something with Rev and Tech. Working out with Slam. And talking with Zadavia. She was happy in the dream. But waking up around midnight she opened her balcony and looked up at the moon which was a week away from being full. "I don't get it. Why am I having these odd dreams? Are they really dreams. Or are they visions of my future? I have to know and it's hurting me not knowing."
Demiyah closed her balcony doors and locked them before climbing back into bed. Just wanting some answers. Sadly though those answers wouldn't come for a long while.
Master Xehanort aka Diomedes was furious at the revelation that Caroline confessed nearly their entire plan. Thankfully she wasn't told everything so some aspects were safe. He was fumbling to salvage his plans. Luna, his wife, had benn interrogated but didn't spill much. So Xehanort believed anyhow. She sang like a canary. So they knew a majority of the plans and could start constingency plans. There were some aspects they didn't know, but could plan around on the fly. Thise who supported the actual Princess, would raise hell when it came to her getting the happiness she deserved.
