Chapter 11: Moonlit Destiny, Magic Awakening, and Revelations!:
It was a crisp October Morning. It was also Halloween! On that day, Students who had active Magic would learn the specifics of their powers were. They would summon their familiars, find their unique magical gift, and other things. Demiyah was there along with Takuya, Denki, Tyson, and even Hop who Trista brought over early that morning. His parents and older brother just thought he was spending time with a new friend before Leon took him Trick or Treating in their hometown. Demiyah was in a white dress with a silver cloak drapped over her shoulders. Traditionally, you dressed in White or Silver. Hop asked, "What happens in this special ritual? Is it anything like the Mystic Awakening we had back in the Silver Millennium?" Tommy, who was the only one who knew because he was part of the staff who oversaw it said, "No it's a bit different. One at a time each of you will come forward and step in a circle. Pedestals will appear with totems representing the different gifts on them first. They will all glow at first, then until you find your gift one by one the glow will fade." Demiyah said, "Oh! Like how the Fairies of Pixie Hollow find their Talent!" Tommy nodded, "Exactly! Next a clear orb will appear. You touch it and it will pull some of your magic out to summon your familiar. It can be anything. Even a Demon if your magic ressonates that way. After that is a magical item and a weapon that each person can use. Finally is a special focus. This is done in a seperate annex from the main room. This usually ends about noon and then everyone celebrates in a private party with the parents or guardians of the students. You four are really lucky. Normally you would have to wait another four to five years for this while Tyson would have to wait two. Since it's normally done around age eleven. But since your magic woke up earlier than normal, you undergo the ritual earlier."
At the magic Building at Silver Guardians Academy Tommy led Hop, Denki, Demiyah, Takuya, and Tyson down the halls to the ritual hall. It was quiet as they got into the room chairs lining the walls. There were different banners with symbols on them. Tommy stood with the other teachers who taught magic lessons. While Kimberly, Hayley, and Natsumi sat with the other parents. Tommy stood and said, "Each year we bring the children who have awakened their powers to join our ranks. This year, we have five who's magic by all rights still be asleep and only coming out in small spurts. However, given their unique situations their powers woke up early. So we induct them into a world of Magic, Miracles, and Mystery. Starting with Hop Andres." Hop stood and was amazed to see the pedestals with different items glowing around him. Tommy said, "Do not be afraid little one." Hop went up to each symbol. Some faded but three came up to him. A ball of Light, a Starburst, and what looked like a healer kit. Tommy said, "As you can see Hop's natural gift includes reading the skies for the future, Shaman Magic, and Healing. Next part." Hop pushed part of his magic in the orb and a dark blue cat with a gold crescent moon appeared. Hop was glad that Ceris was back in his life. The last part was when the orb shattered revealing a Buster Sword! Demiyah shook her head glad she had some training scrolls in her workshop. Hop was led into a back room where there were woods, metals, gemstones, and other things. Tommy said when he entered. For this you wear a blindfold and let your magic flow around you. It will guide you to what materials will work best for it." Hop allowed the Legendary Ranger to put the blindfold on him and the adults stepped back behind the runes to let Hop have his chance. His focus was made of Moon blessed silver and solar forged gold. The gemstones were a moonstone, a white quartz crystal, a blue topaz and a citrine. There was also a feather that looked like a Lunar Wing and some sort of silver dust. The Focus smith then took the items Hop's magic chose and went into his forge.
One by one each child performed the same rite. Demiyah had Healing, Fire, Shaman Magic, and Music Magic. Denki of course had weather magic, dimensional sight, and plant magic. Takuya had fire sight, spirit sight, and pyroportation. Tyson had seeing/hearing beyond the horizon, strength, and a telescopic search eye. Demiyah had Healing, Light Magic, seeing the future, and replication. Demiyah had a staff as her focus made of moon blessed silver, titanium, vibranium, and blessed gold. It had a diamond shaped pink gem on it. Tyson had a necklace that was Solar blessed gold and orange topaz gems. Denki had a necklace that was silver with emeralds and pink spinel. Takuya had a gold bracelet with rubies, orange topaz, and citrine gems. Their familiars were a Wyvern for Takuya, a Thunderbird for Denki, a mini dragon for Tyson, and Demiyah got a wolf.
The party went fantastically. Though Hop felt a little left out because he couldn't tell his parents or big brother about his magic. He did feel a little better knowing Demiyah was his sister Serenity so there was that. He was also greatful for the fact he could go Trick or Treating with Demiyah and be taken back home as if no time had passed so Leon could take him. Which gave Hop an idea. Since it was known he was spending time with a friend, Hop asked if Trista would go with Demiyah and him to Galar. Trista could claim she was taking Demiyah while her parents to a grown ups only party in another town. Demiyah gave her parents a pleading look cause she loved spending time with Hop.
After Trick or Treating in both Reefside and Wedgehurst Demiyah had to go home, but promised to see i.e call Hop later over the communicators. Leon said, "Your new friend seems very nice. What do her parents do for a living?" Hop said, "Her dad is a teacher. Her mom is a dentist." Leon had issues with sharp metal objects so when he heard 'dentist' he dropped the subject. Hop knew he would enjoy watching Leon try to figure out more about Demiyah.
Demiyah came home and got out of her costume and into her pajamas which was her Wildwing jersey and some Pikachu print pajama pants. She now knew what her odd dreams were. They were visions of her future and possibly her past if the book she was given by Raye was correct. The book said if she trained hard enough she could possibly have visions of the past too. It would certainly make finding her siblings a lot easier if that was the case. She was just greatful that Hop was able to make a pocket dimension with the grown ups help. Most couldn't but like Demiyah herself, Hop was determined to make it work. Ceris stayed in the pocket dimension which Hop could access by using a key infused with his magic. He kept all of his books and magic stuff there since he was reluctant to tell his family the truth. Not that he couldn't prove it was true. But because he couldn't gauge what their reactions would be. Leon possibly would be amazed. His parents Hop couldn't say for certain. It was obvious that there was some favoritism between the brothers, but that wasn't their fault. It was more out of fear from Rose. Hop confided in his reincarnated sister that if not for Rose things would probably be more equal in the house. Kimberly offered to go to Chairman Rose and give him a piece of her mind in full Ranger form too! She said, "No child irregardless of circumstance should have to suffer because of one chauvinist narcissistic prick. I know every woman in pink and even the two women in white would agree with me." The single comment made Hop's own molten gold eyes widen in shock.
The next morning, Hop came over bright and early. Neither he or Demiyah had school so they could play all day. Surprisingly, he had Leon with him. At Demiyah's look Hop said embarrassed, "Lee figured out I was going through dimensions. Trista brought up Giratina in conversation while waiting for the train. Lee insisted coming today. He has a surpringly rare week off. It's in between League Seasons right now so he got a bit of down time." Leon said, "Surprised the Distortion World out of me that my baby bro made friends with a princess in another world where Pokemon are fictional. From what I know, there's no game for the Galar Region is there?" Demiyah said, "Not yet. Ruby and Sapphire which features the Hoenn Region just released last year. Plus the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games released." Hop asked, "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon what's that about?" Demiyah said, "In Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, the main character is turned into a Pokemon and sent to a world where it's only Pokemon who live there. No humans at all. To the Pokemon of the Mystery Dungeon World Humans are seen as a myth." Leon's eyes were wide. "Oh wow! Was there anything else about the game that's different?" Demiyah nodded, "In the game you can talk to other Pokemon like we talk to each other. In normal english rather than the Pokemon Language." The brothers were amazed and vowed to keep the truth a secret. Especially since Artemis woke Leon or rather Prince Leonidas' memories up. Leon swore he would help out where he could.
The trio of sibling went to town eating Sea Salt Icecream at the park and playing. Everyone assume that Hop and Leon were distant relatives of Tommy's or Natsumi's visiting for the day. Caroline couldn't even fight the guy, knowing if she tried there was now at least three Justice League members hidden in town wherever Demiyah went. So she couldn't just grab her.
Pierre was still sick at least Caroline's way of thinking. However in his mind a battle for control was taking place. Before Pierre won over the fake personality. He ran off making the excuse he was going to speak to a few old contacts out of state. In reality, he was leaving her. He had a large stack of papers he said were important for the plans. She signed all of them not paying attention to what she signed. Including divorce papers. Also within the papers were confessions to using Thrall Spells and mind control to get her way. They had ten properties around the country. Caroline unknowingly signed five of them over to Pierre and one property which was an old manor to Demiyah. She also signed over most of their bank accounts. Including one that was supposed to be for Demiyah when she got her magic gifts that was set up by Eraqus. Pierre handed in the papers to the proper athourities then he fled after he got the title of his van in his name alone.
He made sure to leave a notebook full of information with Kimberly so they could hopefully put Caroline behind bars for the rest of her life. It was full of Caroline's handwriting. It was a copy she gave to Pierre detailing the plans she had for Demiyah. Leon when he read through it was furious! This was his baby sister! To just use her as breeding tool and a slave was messed up. He was certain not even Rose would come up with something like this. But seeing the blueprints for the dental implant was from Macro Cosmos, Leon was concerned about if Rose used the device too.
Kimberly met them around lunch time at Midnights. Leon broached the question and while she could tell he had issues, she had to wonder if there was something more to it. She offered to check it out for him but she heard Leon's heart beating faster in fear. Kimberly said, "We'll just do a quick exam and x-rays. That way if he didn't we can say it was at least checked out. If we do find something it just means even more reason to find a way to get Rose out of his position."
Leon stepped out of the building. He sighed and sat down on a bench. For some odd reason he started to sing.
Leon: I've never seen a place that's quite like this
Everything is turned around
This crazy World is upside down
Getting on my feet
It's the hand that I was dealt

They don't use any Pokemon

Demiyah heard Leon's song and honestly, she could understand what he was going through. She had thought the same thing when she went to the first new World she had ever visited during her Keyblade Quest. It took both Hop and Demiyah to convince Leon to at least get the possibility of there could be a mind control implant checked out.
In Kim's office Leon was fidgety with nerves. Artemis jumped onto his lap and started purring calming the Galar Champion down a considerable ammount. The entire exam, Leon was freaing out. After the x-rays came back Kim said, "Well we did find one. But the only good thing is it hasn't been activated yet. So it's easy to remove." Leon's mind did a three second standstill. Why would Rose do this? Was the one he had the only one or were there others? Kim said, "We're gonna see to yours first then formulate a plan to find out if there are any others. This worries me. If Diomedes has an agent in your World, how many other World's could he have agents in?" Demiyah piped up, "Who's to say he doesn't have agents that are connected to the Power Rangers to some degree? There's a lot that some of the so called 'Higher Ups' at SPD have said and did that rubbed me the wrong way. Especially those who work closely with Admiral Fowler Birdie. That bird really makes me feel freaked out everytime I look at him. And not for the obvious reasons at all."
Once the procedure was over with Leon breathed a huge sigh of relief. But he couldn't remember when Rose had the implant put in. Wouldn't he have some sort recollection? Takuya came over and asked Leon, "Are you aware someone locked some of your memories away? If Demiyah and I pool our powers, we can break the lock. My Telepathy and Demiyah's Empathy/Light Magic." Leon said, "I have too many questions and not enough answers. So let's do this now." Demiyah said, "We'd better do this in the Lair med bay. There are anti scrying wards down there specifically blocking Diomedes and his ilk."
Leon was laying on one of the trundle beds out cold while Demiyah and Takuya were in meditative positions aura's glowing and eyes closed in concentration.
Leon's Mindscape
Demiyah and Takuya were walking through what they saw was a big Tower. From what Demiyah could tell, this was Rose Tower. At least that's what Leon's memories told her. They wandered for what seemed hours before finding a door with chains and locks on it. Demiyah summoned her Keyblade at least she thought she did. It wasn't Radiant Miracles. It looked similar though. It had a black handle, an indigo guard, a gold ribbon like decoration above the guard, a gold neck, and star shaped teeth. The Keychain was a ten pointed star with indigo lining. There was also a golden aura around it. Demiyah swore this Keyblade felt familiar she just didn't know how. She leveled the Keyblade at the door hitting the lock with a beam of Light. She turned the Keyblade in her hand as if she was using it to unlock something. The door opened and Demiyah saw that while Charizard and the rest of Leon's team were resting, Leon had been drugged and strapped down. When he woke up, Rose was talking with Luxu! "Yes the implant we developed was a success. It's all going according to plan. Once we have Eternatus under our control along with Leon and the Gym Leaders of Galar we can take down the Princess and have her as a slave and a way to ensure Master Diomedes can get the throne. Even if, he must ensure the Princess is with child himself." Luxu said, "Seems the Champion is awake." Rose called for a Psychic type he said, "Be a dear and make Leon forget this conversation happened. After all we wouldn't want him blabbing about our plans." The Psychic types eyes glowed blue and Leon's eyes glazed over as Oleana stuck a needle in his arm knocking him out.
A pair of Pokemon that looked like dogs appeared. One had the appearance of a Sword and the other a Shield. Each materilaized a Keychain that they gave to Demiyah. In their own way thanking her for helping Leon.
Exit Leon's Mind
Demiyah still holding the odd Keyblade and the two Keychains said, "Rose is working for Diomedes. He created the implants to take control of not only Leon but the Galar Gym Leaders too. He wants a Pokemon called Eternatus for some big plan. He was talking to Luxu." Leon said, "Arceus damn it what do we do? I can't quit my position of Champion without it being suspicious." Hop said, "What about being the Ranger's double agent? You have your magic again. I'm sure Trista would help you get up to speed fast!" Leon grinned and said, "Good idea Hopscotch. I plan on doing everything I can to bring these people down."
After confirming with their parents Leon and Hop would be spending the night at Demiyah's house the trio were playing video games. Leon even taking a chance to play Pokemon Fire Red on Demiyah's Nintendo DS. He got as far as the fifth gym before dinner was ready. Dinner with the Oliver family was very comforting for both Hop and Leon. It was odd, but it felt more homey than their home. Natsumi said, "It's the fact that Tommy and Kimberly accept the odd things that go on as a part of life but respect other's choices in life."
Going to bed Leon thought, 'Today may have started strange and evolving into messed up on some levels, but at the end of the day, it was worth it knowing I can do something to help so many people and creatures.'
Rose wasn't happy Leon was taking a week off and spending it with his brother. He tried to get a hold of Leon but the Champion said, he would refuse any call from Rose unless it was life threatening for the people of Galar. Little did the corrupt Chairman know, his worst fears would in a few short years would come to fruition.
On the Moon the Spirit of Queen Serenity smirked. She knew directing Leon towards Hop was good idea. Now the ball was metaphorically in Diomedes court. Check and mate.
