First Round, Willpower vs Mind Control
The recreational games have been fun for everyone though only to some who couldn't compete in the final event of the Sports Festival, but now the real stuff is about to begin soon with those competing in the final around are readying themselves for what's about to happen next.
And so, time passes, and the final begins.
A Pro Hero and one of the teachers of UA, Cementoss is just finishing up with making the fighting ring for the tournament round.
"That's it, I'm pretty much done here." Cementoss informed.
"Thank you, Cementoss!" Present Mic thanked over the speakers.
"Hey sports fans, are you ready?" Present Mic asked and the entire crowd within the stadium cheers loudly to answer that question, and the ones watching this from their TV are cheering the same as well.
"After all the action you've already witnessed, it's time for the real battles to begin. Can ya feel the excitement?" Present Mic grinned.
"So far, the competitors who made it this far are the ones who are ready to show us what their made of since they're now gonna have to really each other face-to-face unlike the previous rounds and I expect to see something that will blow my mind!" Makiko excited so much that she punches the glass of the commentator room, causing cracks.
"You're gonna have to pay for that, woman." Aizawa pointed out.
"I'm sure my boss has it cover." Makiko shrugged and Tadatsugu to sigh.
Meanwhile, Izuku is waiting at one tunnel he is in for his first match with his eyes closes getting himself mentally prepare to fight.
"Hey!" Toshinori called out getting Izuku's attention.
"All Might!" Izuku surprised.
"Sorry I haven't said hi. You've been great, you harnessed One for All!" Toshinori impressed with a thumb up, seeing how Izuku was able to use the Quirk.
"Thank you, I doubt I could have figured this out on my own. Kimi was the one who gave me the advice that was so obvious, yet I couldn't see it clearly." Izuku admitted with his cheeks blushing a little.
"Kimi, you mean the girl from Musashi and who was also your teammate from the Calvary Battle, right?" Toshinori asked and Izuku nods.
"We happen to have met each other one week before the Sports Festival, she pointed out that I should start with using a small amount of my Quirk and work my way up slowly with some training even though we're from different schools." Izuku explained.
"I see, that girl seems to be a smart in her own rights." Toshinori commented.
"From what I can tell, you seem to be handling One for All at about 5% right now. I figured that was the case, but you were still able to get the hang of the power. Very good work." Toshinori smiled.
"Thank you, sir." Izuku smiled with a nod.
"Though to be honest, it feels like I've been getting by with some dumb luck and my friends helping me out." Izuku exclaimed a bit, then suddenly got smack by the skinny All Might.
"All I want to hear from you is that you'll do your best, damnit. There's no such thing as luck. You're never gonna become the hero you want if you believe in something like that." Toshinori scolded his successor.
"Listen, whenever you're scared of nervous about a fight. Just try and deal with it by smiling! You've made it this far, kid. Even if you're worried, you must stand tall!" All Might said with his chest up and his fists on his waist.
"Don't forget that I'm counting on you and cheering you on!" All Might said.
Izuku smiles feeling like his entire spirit has been lifted from the few strong words of his mentor as he was feeling nervous for his first tournament round, but now he is ready to face this Shinso guy and make his way up to the top.
"Izuku, are you here!" Kimi called out.
Hearing the girl causes the two to gasp and All Might completely changed back into his weaken normal form right before Kimi comes in.
"Oh good, you must've gone in yet. I was hoping to get the chance to wish you well on your first match." Kimi smiled walking up to Izuku.
"Oh! You really didn't have to do that but thank you very much." Izuku blushed thanking her.
"Are you a teacher of UA, you don't look much?" Kimi asked curiously as she looks at Toshinori who is looking a little nervous.
"Y-Yeah, I'm one of the teachers. I was just telling Young Midoriya to keep his spirit up in a fight." Toshinori explained a little.
"Hmm, how odd." Kimi leaned a little closer to the skinny man.
"Huh, is there something wrong?" Toshinori asked.
"It's your eyes, I don't know why but they remind me of a strong man almost like… All Might." Kimi puzzled tilting her head a bit.
This causes Toshinori and Izuku silently gasp upon the girl is able to see some similarities between the two forms, but it doesn't look like she gets the entire thing down and Izuku quickly spoke up to change the subject.
"H-Hey, was there something else you wanted to talk to me about?" Izuku asked.
"Why yes, there is one more thing I want to check on with you and that is the promise we made back at the beach." Kimi answered as Toshinori sighed in relief.
"R-Right, don't worry, Kimi. I haven't forgotten the promise, in fact, I'm determined to see this through!" Izuku determined with One for All emitting green sparks around his body.
"Wonderful, I'll be expecting to see that kind of face throughout the tournament and who knows, we might even have to fight each other. So, you better not hold back when that time comes." Kimi smiled with a wink.
"Of course not, it would be insulting if I did." Izuku assured that is not going to happen.
Kimi smiles seeing Izuku getting so fired up even when the fight hasn't even started and that just makes him look cuter than before, this also reminds her of her late little brother though he was more silly in ways that make people smile.
She then grabs Izuku's hand placing it on her breast much his and All Might's shock as she leans to Izuku's ear.
"I'll be expecting big things from you." Kimi whispered before letting go and walking away.
"Y-Young Midoriya, was promise did you made with that girl exactly?" Toshinori asked.
"Well, huh, I… I have a match to get ready!" Izuku stuttered as he turns around facing the outside.
"(That girl sure is forward, too forward though does have a kind heart.)" Toshinori thought commented on that Kimi girl.
Four pillars of flame came bursting out from each corner of the ring as the crowd cheers louder of excitement knowing what this means.
"Alright, enough with the waiting around! It's time with see some fists flying!" Makiko excited.
"Oh yeah, it is time for our first fighters!" Present Mic said as the screen on the giant TV change of Hitoshi Shinso on the left and Izuku Midoriya on the right.
"Whoa, he looks kinda scared in the picture, doesn't he?" Present Mic asked.
"I don't blame him since this is his first tournament fight, but I have a feeling he won't back down. Everyone, give it up for Izuku Midoriya from UA's Hero Course!" Makiko announced.
Izuku comes out from one tunnel walking towards the fighting ring with a strong and nervous smile on his face, hearing the crowds cheer for him.
"Yay! Go show us what your made of!" Kimi cheered while wearing the cheerleading outfit again.
"Kimi, why are you wearing that again?" Naomasa confused.
"To give Izuku a good cheering, of course. That guys have really made my heart skip a beat or two that I couldn't stand to not think about him." Kimi answered.
"Wow, it almost sounds like you're in love with him." Suzu surprised.
"Oh, is that what you think? You'll have to wait and find out at the end of the festival." Kimi giggled with a grin.
"(I don't know why, but I'm getting a weird feeling that I'm jealous of Kimi cheering Izuku on for some reason.)" Tomo thought puzzled with a pouty face.
"May I cheer him on with you?" Horizon asked.
"Sure!" Kimi nodded.
"And his opponent is Hitoshi Shinso from General Studies, he certainly made his way here and has done an excellent job with his team during the Calvary Battle!" Present Mic announced about Hitsohi as he walks out as well.
"The rules are simple. Immobilize your opponent or force them outta the ring! You can also win by getting the other person to cry uncle!" Present Mic explained the rule of the tournament.
"We also got Recovery Girl on standby to treat any injured students, so don't be afraid to go wild and land some Hell on each other! But just a reminder that life-threating such as killing is forbidden, folks. After all, heroes are to stop the bad guys and put them in jail, not kill them." Makiko stated.
"Could've said it better myself, Real Amazon!" Present Mic smirked.
"I'll stop anyone who tries to get too rough." Cementoss added after creating and sitting on his cement chair like a throne for a king.
"Say Miriam, that shady tired boy is from your team, right?" Kimi asked the wheelchair girl.
"That's right, his Quirk very terrifying had I not pick him to be on my team and it's also such a shame that he wasn't put in the hero course." Miriam nodded.
"Right, a Quirk like Brainwashing would have been a great help in capturing villains with ease." Azuma pointed out.
"But unfortunately, UA entrance exams only have the physical combat part after the written exam meaning there was no chance for him to get into the Hero Course." Miriam explained.
"Izuku, my dear. You better be ready for what you're facing." Kimi preyed for Izuku as he gets ready.
Izuku let out a sigh to steady his breathing.
"So, you're already buddy with one of Musashi's students?" Hitoshi asked.
"From what I heard, you and Kimi had a little meet-up at the beach. What, was she being a bitch to ask you out on a date?" Hitoshi asked mocking the girl, only as a plan to make Izuku respond to him.
Izuku felt shocked of someone saying such things about Kimi even though he doesn't know her that well like he does but hearing him just call her a bitch sets his blood boiling as he clutches his fists.
"Ready?" Present Mic readied to start the match.
"Being close to a potential enemy before the start of the festival seems pretty stupid, you know?" Hitoshi said.
"BEGIN!" Makiko and Present Mic sounded the start of the first match.
"Maybe she was just being pity for you because you were alone on the beach, being a bitch like that." Hitoshi grinned a bit.
That's when Izuku has had enough to hear from this guy as he clutches his fists tighter, and his body glowing of the green spark and gritted his teeth with his eyes having anger within with the sense of teaching this bastard a lesson.
"Don't you talk about Kimi that way!" Izuku sprinted at Hitoshi with the superspeed of One for All 5%.
However, immediately after responding to Hitoshi's rude comments on Kimi, his fist suddenly stops when it was about to be launch and only half a foot away to strike Hitoshi's face that made him gasp a little.
"What the what? Why did Midoriya just stop?" Kyoka confused.
"Oh no, something must've happened to him." Ochaco worried.
"Oh dear, it looks like he fell for the Quirk." Miriam grinned a little.
"That's just like how Nenji was when you guys took our points!" Kenji realized gasping.
"Huh?! Hey, hey, what's the dealio? This is the first match! It should start out with a bang!" Present Mic shocked of seeing this.
"But for some reason, Izuku Midoriya just suddenly stop in the middle of his attack and look like he's completely frozen too!" Makiko shocked as well.
"Oh man, who would have thought this would be a turn of event? That's the festival for ya!" Present Mic commented.
"Hey Eraser Head, do you by any chance have any info on this Hitoshi's Quirk because I'm getting a real bad feeling that his power stopped Izuku somehow." Makiko asked.
"I do, and this is also the perfect example of why the UA entrance exam isn't rational, not like the entrance exam I heard about Musashi." Aizawa said.
"Okay, why's that." Present Mic asked.
"Shinso failed the practical exam to get into the hero course. Since he also applied for the general studies, he probably figured that would happen. His Quirk is incredibly strong, but the entrance test consisted of fighting faux villains, robots. It gave a huge advantage to those who had physical superpowers they could show off." Aizawa explained about Shinso.
"I see, because Shinso's Quirk is strong but not suitable for physical combat, he never stood a chance at passing." Makiko said understanding this as she peaks over the paper.
"Whoa, no way! His Quirk is Brainwashing to have people talk back to him and they're done!" Makiko gasped.
"Seriously?! That's so wild!" Present Mic shocked.
Everyone who happened to hear all the from the three teachers are shocked as well to hear a boy with such a tired look on his face could have such a powerful Quirk, even the Hero Course students are shocked of this and All Might as well.
"I never knew a guy like him would be in the General Studies." Momo shocked from this sudden news.
"It would seem we luck out of not facing this one back then." Elizabeth commented.
"I hope that other guy is okay." Mary worried.
"(Something tells me I should cross this guy.)" Neito thought grinned nervously.
"So, here we are. You're so lucky to have been so blessed, Izuku Midoriya." Hitoshi said with a tiny hint of jealousy.
"Now turn around and walk out of bonds like a good little hero." Hitoshi commanded.
Upon under his command, the blank-face Izuku turns around walking right towards the stairs getting himself out of bond.
"Oh boy, it looks like this Shinso is a bigger obstacle for Midoriya than I thought." Midnight worried for Izuku.
"No, don't do it, Deku! Don't walk out!" Ochaco called out.
"If he steps out of the ring, he'll lose!" Tenya pointed out waving his arms around like a robot.
"Ribbit, ribbit, please do something, Izuku." Tsuyu worried.
Katsuki and Shoto just stay quiet watching that Izuku is helpless to this guy's power thinking neither will be able to face him in the next round.
"In would seem this battle will be over rather quickly." Futayo commented.
"No, he won't." Kimi said and slammed her foot on the iron bar causing it to bend.
"Don't you even think about losing to this shitty bastard! You made a promise to me, and I expect you to keep them or else I will come down there and give you a punishment even worse than Hell! Break free and win, Izuku Midoriya!" Kimi shouted that surprise her classmates.
"(I never seen Kimi this angry before, and it's all for trying to support one guy.)" Nate thought surprised.
Meanwhile, Izuku's body is walking closer to the stairs on Hitoshi's command while his mind is still working somewhat.
"(What's happening? My body is moving on its own.)" Izuku thought noticed this.
"(I feel like my brain is full of fog. I can't concentrate.)" Izuku thought saw he is getting closer to out of bond.
"(No! Not like this. Gotta stops, damnit!)" Izuku thought feared that he is going to lose on the first match.
"(I'm going to lose. It's all over. Even though… so many people are counting on me. Everyone is watching. Everyone!)" Izuku thought felt he's about to cry only he couldn't.
But then something strange started to happen as he saw something at the tunnel entrance where he came from, he saw eight shadow people with glowing yellow eyes and one of them even looked out All Might in his skinny form.
"(What… is… that?)" Izuku thought asked as he can feel One for All coursing through his body then all concentrated in two fingers of his left hand.
"Even with a Quirk like this, I have my own dreams of becoming a great hero. So, lose for me." Hitoshi said.
However, just when Izuku's foot was about three to four inches away of touching outside of the ring, his finger flick at the ground unleashing a powerful wind attack and shockwave that also caused his fingers to get bruised up and Izuku broke free from the mind-control as he quickly pulls himself back from the white line.
"What's this? Midoriya stopped just in time!" Present Mic shocked surprising everyone.
"How the hell did he do that?! This kid is crazy awesome!" Makiko amazed.
Kimi smile upon seeing Izuku managed to break free somehow and knew that he wouldn't let himself get beaten like this.

The first match of the tournament round has begun with the crazy shit close of Izuku almost losing to Hitoshi because of his Brainwashing Quirk, but the mighty Deku was able to break free thanks to some mysterious help of One for All.
