Woody's Pokémon Journeys

From Kitakami with Love – Part 1!

(AUTHOR'S NOTE: This episode is the first episode in Pokémon the Series: Scarlet and Violet – Untold Journeys to feature Kitakami and its wonderous beaches.)

(The scene opens up to the Uva Academy at 7:00 AM. Woody was sleeping, but his alarm woke him up.)

Woody's Rotom Phone: [ringing] This is your wake-up call, this is your wake-up call!

Woody: All right, all right, I'm up. Keep your case on, Rotom.

Clavell: Time to get up, Woody!

Woody: Thanks, Mr. Clavell.

Clavell: No problem. Did you pack your stuff yet?

Woody: I did. I even packed my swim shorts in case we went swimming.

Clavell: Good. Let's get to the airport.

(Woody, Moose, Zee, Mordecai, Faith, Drew, and Arven got dressed, got their luggage, and went to the airport.)

Woody: You guys ready to head to Kitakami?

Faith: We sure are.

(The seven friends went into the airport and an airplane heading to Kitakami approached them.)

Woody: What luck. There's a plane heading to Kitakami.

(Woody and his friends get on the Kitakami airplane.)

Kitakami Airlines Announcer: Attention, all passengers. This plane will leave from Mesagoza City to the Mossui Airport in Kitakami. As we prepare for the trip to Kitakami, we hope you enjoy your flight.

Faith: My mom's coming to Kitakami.

Sharon: Sorry I was late, Faith. Leon had to get on another plane heading to Kitakami, but he'll meet us up at the hotel we're staying in.

Faith: What kind of hotel are we staying in, Mom?

Sharon: We're staying at the finest hotel in all of Kitakami, Ace Hotel Kyoto. They even have hot springs there.

Faith: Hot springs? What are those?

Sharon: Hot springs are like hot tubs but instead of being built by concrete, they're made from the ground with high pressured water.

Faith: Good thing I packed a couple of bathing suits.

Mordecai: I'm so excited to get to Kitakami.

Geoff: Me, too. Kitakami is full of surprises, especially old and new Pokémon.

Woody: Where's Houndoom?

Geoff: He had to be put in a dog cage.

Woody: What about Yakko, Wakko, and Dot?

Geoff: They've been at Kitakami since yesterday.

Faith: I'm keeping Pinky and Brain in my dress pockets.

(Pinky and the Brain were seen in Faith's dress pockets, struggling to breathe.)

Kitakami Airlines Announcer: Attention, all passengers. This plane is taking off. Make sure your seatbelts are fastened tightly and enjoy the flight.

[Seatbelts locked in]

Moose: We're flying!

Zee: Kitakami, here we come!

(Song: The Challenge of Life)

"Rise if you're prepared for the challenge
(Rise to the challenge)
Rise if you're a champion at heart
(Rise to the challenge)

Take my hand, we'll train as one
And triumph together
(Rise to the challenge)
Nothing's gonna stand in our way

Stronger and stronger we'll
Rise to the challenge of
Life
Pokémon!
"

Woody and Geoff: [both reading the title] "From Kitakami with Love – Part 1!"

Narrator: After fighting in Paldea, our heroes are on their next leg of their Paldean journey – to encounter challengers bigger than themselves in Kitakami.

(The scene changes to Kitakami Airport, where the airport was shown.)

Kitakami Airlines Announcer: We are now arriving at Kitakami Airport. We hope you enjoyed your flight.

Moose: [gets off the plane] Woo-hoo, we're at Kitakami!

Zee: Hold on, Moose, I gotta get the luggage first!

Sharon: Here we are, Hotel Kiyoto.

Faith: Great, let's get in!

Sharon: Wait, we need traditional Kitakami clothes. Follow me.

(Sharon follows Faith and Drew into a clothing store, where they were wearing.)

Faith: Mom, do I have to wear this traditional kimono?

(Faith wore a pink short-sleeved kimono dress with pink Japanese sandals.)

Sharon: To be honest, that dress looks cute on you.

Faith: Hmm, you're right. This dress does fit me.

Drew: Mom, do I have to wear this kimono?

Sharon: We have to wear traditional Japanese clothing, kids.

Drew: I look like a faggot.

Sharon: Language!

Drew: Sorry, Mom.

Sharon: That's better.

Mordecai: Nice kimono, Faith.

Faith: Thanks, Mordecai. You look great in a kimono.

(Mordecai takes out a katana.)

Mordecai: And this katana reminds me of the ones that samurais use in mangas.

Faith: Can we just hang out in the hotel room instead?

Sharon: We're going out to dinner… in style!

(Sharon wore a red and white long-sleeved kimono with pink Japanese sandals, as well as a Mega Stone-themed necklace on her neck.)

Sharon: Let's head out to dinner, shall we?

Arven, Moose, Zee, Mordecai, and Drew: Let's go!

(Arven, Moose, Zee, Mordecai, and Drew head to a Japanese restaurant in the Hotel Kiyoto.)

?: Konnichiwa, I am Perrin.

Woody: Hello, Perrin. Nice kimono you have on.

Perrin: Thanks. This is my partner, Growlithe.

Growlithe: [Hisuian Form] Growl!

C.J: Who's that?

Perrin: This is my partner, Growlithe.

Woody: That's not the Growlithe I usually see back in Hoenn. [pulls out his Rotom Phone]

[Woody's Rotom Phone chimes]

Woody's Rotom Phone: "Growlithe, Hisuian Form. The Scout Pokémon. A Fire and Rock type. Growlithe patrol their homes in teams. Their ancient forms were created from volcanic activities, which were caused from the coastal islands they used to live on in ancient times."

Woody: It's so cute!

C.J: Hi, Growlithe.

(Growlithe happily pants after being pet by C.J.)

C.J: You love being petted, don't you, Growlithe?

Growlithe: [Hisuian Form; happily barks] Growl!

Woody: What are you here for, Perrin?

Perrin: I'm here to capture a rare Pokémon.

Woody: What kind of rare Pokémon are we talking about?

Perrin: I'm trying to get a picture of Ogerpon.

Woody: Ogerpon? I've never heard of an Ogerpon before.

Perrin: Ogerpon came to Kitakami a long time ago, but it disappeared due to a greedy trio of Pokémon.

Mordecai: Who were those Pokémon?

Perrin: Their names are Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti.

Woody: Whoa, and who are they?

Perrin: Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti are known as The Loyal Three.

Woody: Whoa, so there's three Pokémon in Kitakami? That's super awesome!

Pikachu: [says, "I agree!"] Pika!

Perrin: Actually, there are other different Pokémon in Kitakami, like Poochyena, who originally came from the Hoenn region.

Faith: Come on, let's have dinner and catch some Pokémon before heading back to the hotel.

(After dinner…)

Faith: Man, rice balls and sushi sure are good together. [burps loudly]

Sharon: Faith!

Faith: Sorry, had to let it out.

Geoff: Let's go find some Pokémon!

(Geoff goes into a grassy area. He hears some rustling. A Sentret pops out of the grass.)

Sentret: Sentret!

Pinky: What's that? [pulls out his Rotom Phone]

[Pink's Rotom Phone chimes]

Pinky's Rotom Phone: "Sentret, the Scout Pokémon. A Normal type. Sentret is cautious and nervous. When it spots an enemy coming to their nest, Sentret will shriek loudly to warn other Sentret of its kind."

(Geoff throws a Poké Ball at Sentret, successfully capturing the Scout Pokémon.)

Geoff's Rotom Phone: [chimes] Congratulations! Sentret has been registered to your Pokédex!

Drew: [sends out his Yungoos] Yungoos, help us find more Pokémon!

[Poké Ball opens up]

Yungoos: [released from its Poké Ball] Yungoos!

Geoff: Yungoos, see if you can find any more Pokémon on Kitakami Road.

(Yungoos sniffs he ground for different Pokémon and it sees a Scyther eating bug Pokémon.)

Scyther: [attacks Yungoos] Scyther!

(Battle! Wild Pokémon! – Pokémon Legends Arceus OST)

Arven: What's that thing? [pulls out his purple Rotom Phone, which points at Scyther]

[Arven's Rotom Phone chimes]

Arven's Rotom Phone: "Scyther, the Mantis Pokémon. A Bug and Flying type. Scyther confuses its prey using quick ninja-like movements. It trains with other Scyther of its kind in the mountains."

Scyther: Scyther!

(Scyther glares at Drew's Yungoos.)

Faith: I gotta save Yungoos. [sends out her Floragato] Floragato, go!

[Poké Ball opens up]

Floragato: Flora!

Faith: Floragato, use Crunch to get that Scyther away from my brother's Yungoos!

Floragato: [Bite attack] Gato!

(Floragato's fangs crunch onto Scyther, allowing Geoff to capture the Mantis Pokémon.)

Geoff: Don't fail me now, Poké Ball!

[Poké Ball whirls three times, then dings]

Geoff's Rotom Phone: [chimes] Congratulations! Scyther has been registered to your Pokédex!

Woody: I'm so glad that Scyther was caught.

(Faith gasps with delight)

Faith: Guys, my Floragato is evolving!

(Faith's Floragato evolves into a Meowscarada.)

Meowscarada: Meowscarada!

Faith: What is it? [pulls out her pink Rotom Phone]

[Faith's Rotom Phone chimes]

Faith's Rotom Phone: "Meowscarada, the Magician Pokémon. A Grass and Dark type, and the final evolved form of Sprigatito. Meowscarada carries a green flower from its cape. It can create illusions, usually the ones that involve the flower being able to float in the air."

Drew: And my Yungoos evolved into a Gumshoos! [pulls out his Rotom Phone]

[Drew's Rotom Phone chimes]

Drew's Rotom Phone: "Gumshoos, the Stakeout Pokémon. A Normal type. Long ago, Gumshoos was transported to Alola after a huge outbreak of Rattata appeared. It's known to have good patience."

Faith: Whoa, two evolutions in one day? That's something you don't see every day.

Sharon: I'm glad Geoff got some new Pokémon, but you know what's better than catching Pokémon

Faith and Drew: What?

Sharon: Going to the beach.

(There was a beach in Kitakami. It had palm trees, coconuts, and ocean waves.)

Sharon: The Warners will be meeting with us in a while, so let's get on our swimsuits and have fun!

(Faith, Drew, Woody, Moose, Zee, Pinky, Brain, and Arven get into their swimsuits and walk on the beach.)

Faith: Come on, Mordecai, let's play in the water!

(Faith and Mordecai put on their swim masks and swim in the water.)

Faith: I love swimming in the ocean. It's like swimming in a community pool but without all the chlorine making your skin wrinkly.

(A blue twinkle was seen in the ocean.)

Faith: What's that?

(Faith pulls out a breathing device from her swimsuit pocket. She puts the breathing device in her mouth and tightens the swim mask surrounding her eyes.)

Faith: Is… this a mask?

(Faith picks up the water-like mask and takes it back to the beach.)

Faith: Mordecai, look what I found!

Mordecai: What did you find underwater, Faith?

Faith: I found a mysterious mask that Ogerpon used to use at Kitakami.

Woody: Really?

("Who's that Pokémon?" segment)

Woody and Geoff: Who's that Pokémon?!

(A silhouette shows a picture of a hyena-like Pokémon.)

(The silhouette disappears, revealing it to be a Poochyena.)

Woody and Geoff: It's… Poochyena!

Poochyena: Poochy!

(End of "Who's that Pokémon?" segment)

(The scene changes to show the sun setting in Kitakami, where Woody and his friends changed from their swimsuits to their normal clothes.)

Pinky: [wearing his purple board trunks] That was a lovely day at a tropical beach, wasn't it, Brain?

Brain: I'm sure it was, Pinky. It sure was.

(Brain sees the mask that Faith found on the ocean floor.)

Brain: What's that?

Pinky: It looks like one of the masks that Ogerpon wears during battle.

Brain: Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?

Pinky: I think so, Brain, but how many forms does Ogerpon have?

Brain: Heaven will know, Pinky.

(Brain sees the water-like mask.)

Brain: I'll use this mask during one of Kitakami's beloved festivals and will sing a Japanese song that can make everyone bow to me on New Year's Eve.

Pinky: Brilliant, Brain. Oh, wait-! Do people know you actually sing?

Brain: Moose taught me, Daruka, and Sharon – also known as Daruka and Faith's mother – to sing, Pinky.

Pinky: Right-o, Brain. Narf!

Woody: Come on, let's get back to the hotel.

(At Hotel Kiyoto…)

Woody: Ah, it sure is nice to relax in the hotel.

Faith: Sure was, and I got myself the Wellspring Mask.

Narrator: With Christmas being over, that doesn't mean the holidays are over. No – it means that with New Year's Eve approaching, everybody's getting ready for 2024. Stay tuned for another adventure in the Land of Kitakami, as the journey continues!

(To Be Continued…)
