Grookey See, Grookey Do!

Narrator: Last time, our heroes celebrated Faith's 20th birthday. After turning 20, Faith will discover permanent changes in her adult life from a Pidgey's eye view.

(The scene changes to show Faith working on her schoolwork.)

Faith: Who knew that reading With the Fire on High could be so much fun? I mean, there's cussing and drunkenness involved, but I don't care.

Sharon: Morning, Faith.

Faith: Morning, Mom.

Mordecai: Faith, Faith, Faith! You're not going to believe what I found: a group of Grookey in the Jungle Biome!

Faith: Mom, can I take a break from reading?

Sharon: Sure, sweetie.

Faith: Yay, I can see the Grookey!

(Song: "The Challenge of Life")

(The scene changes to show Woody's Pikachu, Oinkologne (Male), Pawmot (Male), Koraidon, Appletun, Armarouge, Clodsire, and Skeledirge, with Woody alongside Faith and Meowscarada, Salamence, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Lapras, and Vulpix (Alolan Form). Geoff and Houndoom, alongside Finizen, Veluza, Capsakid, Bramblin, Miraidon, Flamigo, Litleo, Foongus, Tandermaus, Fuecoco, Oricorio (Pa'u Style), Nymble, Grafaiai, Smeargle, Bellossom, Skunktank, Cetoddle, Swirlix, Slurpuff, Musharna, Banscream, Iron Bundle, Calyrex, Spectrier, Jynx, Gourgeist (Average Size), Polteageist, Misdreavus (Aevian Form), Zapdos (Galarian Form), Horsea, Seel, Jellicent, Snorunt, Snowlow, Glimmet, Munchlax: {Delta Form}, Munkidori, Fezandipiti, Okidogi, Ogerpon, Noibat, Brute Bonnet, Great Tusk, Flutter Mane, and Snowrong also appear alongside Woody and Faith, with Bullwinkle and his Quaxwell, Oinkologne (Male), Greavard, and Rabsca appearing alongside the trio. Lexie is standing next to Blaziken, Finizen, and Octillery; Brain appears with Delphox, Metagross, and Kadabra; and as for Hazel, her Kingler and Blastoise appeared with Yakko, Cobalion, Raichu, and Dewott while Wakko appears with Munchlax, Terrakion, and Woobat. Then, Dot, her Jigglypuff, and her Tinkatink appear.)

Faith and Mordecai: [both reading the title] "Grookey See, Grookey Do!"

(The scene changes to show the Jungle Biome, where a group of Grookey were jamming.)

Mordecai: [wearing a safari hat on his head, a short-sleeved safari shirt, and khaki shorts] There they are!

Faith: [wearing a green safari hat, a short-sleeved safari shirt, and a dress skirt] Are those Grookey?

[Faith's Rotom Phone chimes]

Faith's Rotom Phone: "Grookey, the Chimp Pokémon. A Grass type. Grookey uses a stick to revive the plants and flowers surrounding the area it lives in, as well as to create catchy beats. As it has more fun, its excitement increases."

Faith: Wow!

(One of the wild Grookey sees Drew.)

Drew: Hello there.

Grookey: Grookey.

Faith: You'resoo cute.

Grookey: [blushes] Grookey!

(The wild Grookey begins climbing up a tree branch.)

Mordecai: Where ya goin', Grookey? Come back!

(Mordecai follows the cheeky Grookey up a tree.)

Mordecai: Stop you hat-stealing thief!

(Mordecai finds a vine near a tree and swings on it, almost as if he were Tarzan.)

Grookey: [teasing] Grookey, grookey, grookey!

Mordecai: I'm gonna make you eat those words!

(As Mordecai swings on the vine, Grookey finds another vine to swing with. Drew follows the wild Grookey through the biome and the Chimp Pokémon was cornered.)

Drew: Haha, there's nowhere to run now!

(Grookey was shocked and gave Mordecai his safari hat back.)

Mordecai: I'm glad you got my hat back, Grookey, but I don't know what to do with you now.

(Just then, a loud, drumming sound could be heard.)

Faith: What's that noise?

Mordecai: We better go check it out.

(Faith and Mordecai peek through a bush and find a trio of Rillaboom drumming to African music.)

Faith: Who are those Pokémon? [pulls out her Rotom Phone]

[Faith's Rotom Phone chimes]

Faith's Rotom Phone: "Rillaboom, the Drummer Pokémon. A Grass type, and the evolved form of Thwackey. Rillaboom uses the power of its drum-like stump to control its battles, usually by drumming. It's said that the one who has the best drumming style will become the newest member of the group."

Grookey: [sees the leader of the Rillaboom trio] Grook?

Rillaboom: [looks up to Grookey] Rilla.

Drew: What's Grookey doing?

Faith: I think it wants to evolve into a Rillaboom, too.

Drew: But to do that, he has to be a Thwackey first.

Faith: He's right, you know.

Drew: How do we evolve Grookey then?

Faith: With a battle, of course!

Drew: Right after we catch Grookey?

Faith: Sure, we can do that.

(Drew captures Grookey with a Poké Ball.)

Drew's Rotom Phone: [chimes] Congratulations! Grookey has been registered to your Pokédex!

Drew: Ready?

Faith: Ready!

Drew: Grookey, I choose you!

[Poké Ball opens up]

Grookey: Grookey!

Faith: [sends out Vulpix] Vulpix, I choose you!

[Poké Ball opens up]

Vulpix:[Alolan Form] Vulpix!

Drew: Wait, aren't Grass-type Pokémon weak against Ice-types?

Faith: Yeah, they're weak against Ice-types but I want this battle to be good for my Vuly.

Vulpix: [Alolan Form, npds] Vul!

Faith: Vulpix, use Ice Beam!

Vulpix: [Ice Beam attack] Vullll!

Drew: Grookey, use Energy Ball!

(Grookey releases a burst of energy from the stick it was holding, causing Vulpix to faint.)

Uncle Glen: Well, that was fast.

Cinderace: Cinderace?

Drew: You did it, Grookey!

Grookey: [cheering] Grookey, groo!

(The trio of Rillaboom see Drew's Grookey.)

Rillaboom: Rilla!

Drew: Rillaboom's saying that they would like to challenge Grookey to a drumming battle.

Faith: Is this true?

Rillaboom: Rillaboom.

Faith: Challenge… accepted!

(The scene changes to show stump-like drums.)

Faith: Ready… set… GO!

(Drew's Grookey and the wild Rillaboom begin beating their drums to the music. The drums get louder and louder. Drew's Grookey then begins getting tired.)

Drew: Grookey's getting tired! What do we do?

Faith: I don't know.

(Suddenly, Drew's Grookey finds two drumsticks and starts beating up a rock-themed rhythm.)

Faith: You go, Grookey!

(The drumming battle ends.)

Rillaboom: [thanking Grookey for the battle] Rilla.

Grookey: [shakes hands with Rillaboom] Key, Grookey.

(As Grookey walks away from Drew, it started to evolve!)

Drew: What's happening?

("Who's that Pokémon?" segment)

Drew: Who's that Pokémon?

(A silhouette shows a picture of a monkey-like Pokémon.)

(Moments later, the silhouette disappears,revealing it to be a Thwackey.)

Drew: It's… Thwackey!

Thwackey: Thwackey!

(End of "Who's that Pokémon?" segment)

(The evolution continues as Grookey evolves.)

Drew: You evolved!

Drew's Rotom Phone: [chimes] Congratulations! Thwackey has been registered to your Pokédex!

Drew: Rotom, look up Thwackey in the Pokédex.

[Drew's Rotom Phone chimes]

Drew's Rotom Phone: "Thwackey, the Beat Pokémon. A Grass type. Thwackey uses the two sticks it holds to not only perform catchy beats but for also attacking its enemies. It gets so focused on drumming that it usually doesn't listen to what its Trainer is telling it to do."

Drew: We did it!

Thwackey: [cheering] Thwackey!

Narrator: Not only did Drew get a new partner, but his partner – a Grookey – managed to evolve. "What will happen next?", you say? Well, stick around as the journey continues!

Another fan-made episode finally complete!

(March 12th, 2024): Now that there's only 13 more days left until my 20th birthday, I have a splash-tastic episode, the debut of Krakanao, a Pokémon from the Tandor Region of Pokémon Uranium. And sorry if this fanfic was short. I was having trouble thinking of a plot involving Grookey and Thwackey.
