Ain't No Party Like a Pool Party!
(NOTE: This episode is inspired by the Opening Day Pool Party later to be happening on either May 14th or May 17th, 2024.)
Narrator: Last time, our heroes encountered Regigigas and Chien-Pao at Twist Mountain and met Mustard, the Dojo Master from the Isle of Armor. Now that their icy journey came to an end, they were feeling hot under the sun, and I mean that in a literal sense of words.
[Scene: The Terarium, where the sun beats down relentlessly, casting harsh rays over the landscape. Faith the Eevee seeks refuge from the scorching heat, her sleeveless pink dress fluttering lightly in the hot breeze as she walks in her sandals.]
Faith: Whew, it's a scorcher today! I need to find some shade before I turn into a Vaporeon.
[As Faith seeks shelter from the relentless sun, she spots a patch of shade beneath a lush canopy of trees. With a sigh of relief, she makes her way towards the cool refuge, grateful for the respite from the oppressive heat.]
Faith: Ahh, much better. I'll just stay here and cool off for a bit.
[As Faith rests in the shade, she notices a familiar figure approaching - Mordecai, her blue jay boyfriend, with an envelope in his hand.]
Mordecai: Hey, Faith! Perfect timing. I've got something for you.
Faith: Oh, hey, Mordecai! What's up?
Mordecai: Marlon Harper is hosting a pool party at his place, and he wanted me to give you this invite.
[He hands Faith the envelope, a smile playing on his beak as he watches her reaction.]
Faith: A pool party? That sounds amazing! And with this heat, I could definitely use a dip in the water.
Mordecai: Exactly! It's gonna be a blast. Marlon's parties are always a good time.
Faith: Well, count me in! Thanks for the invite, Mordecai.
Mordecai: Anytime, Faith. I'll see you there!
Faith: Wow, I've never been to a public pool party before.

Nothing's gonna stand in our way
Stronger and stronger we'll
Rise to the challenge of
Life
Pokémon!"

Faith: [reading the title] "Ain't No Party Like a Pool Party!"
[Scene: Faith stands before her mother, Sharon, in their cozy kitchen, a determined look on her face as she addresses her request.]
Faith: Mom, I need a new swimsuit.
Sharon: pauses from her cooking, turning to face her daughter with a curious expression Oh? What happened to the swimsuit you wore last summer?
Faith: sighs, a hint of embarrassment coloring her cheeks Well, I realized it's not exactly my style anymore. Plus, it's seen better days.
Sharon: nods understandingly I see. Well, I'm sure we can find something that suits you perfectly. Let's go shopping this weekend, just the two of us.
Faith: brightens up, grateful for her mother's support That sounds great, Mom. Thanks!
Sharon: Of course, sweetheart. Now, let's finish up dinner, and then we can make plans for our shopping trip.
[Scene: The next morning dawns bright and clear, signaling the arrival of the day before Marlon Harper's much-anticipated pool party at Humilau City. In Faith's cozy bedroom, the sunlight streams through the window, casting a warm glow over the room as she wakes up with a sense of excitement tingling in her veins.]
Faith: stretching and yawning Ahh, what a beautiful morning! I can't believe Marlon's pool party is tomorrow.
(Faith goes to her swimsuit drawer but her magenta two-piece swim dress was getting worn out.)
Faith: Oh, no! My swimsuit's all worn out!
Faith: Mom, I think it's time for a new swimsuit. My magenta one-piece swim dress is getting worn out.
Sharon: Really? Already? We just got that last summer.
Faith: I know, but I've been wearing it a lot, and it's starting to fade.
Sharon: Well, let's make a trip to Target then. They always have a good selection.
[They arrive at Target and head to the swimsuit section.]
Faith: Ooh, there are so many options!
Sharon: Let's start by finding something similar to what you had before. Maybe we can find another one-piece that you like.
Faith: Yeah, that sounds good.
[They start browsing through the racks of swimsuits.]
Faith: What do you think about this blue one, Mom?
Sharon: It's cute! Do you like the style?
Faith: Yeah, but I think I want something a little different this time.
Sharon: Alright, let's keep looking.
[They continue browsing and Faith spots a floral two-piece.]
Faith: Mom, what about this one? It's so pretty!
Sharon: It is pretty. Do you think you'd be comfortable in a two-piece?
Faith: I think so. I like the way it looks.
Sharon: Alright, let's try it on.
[They head to the fitting rooms and Faith tries on the swimsuit.]
Faith: What do you think, Mom?
Sharon: Wow, you look great! How do you feel in it?
Faith: I feel really good! I like that it's different from what I had before.
Sharon: Well, if you feel good in it, that's what matters. Let's get it!
[They purchase the swimsuit and head home.]
Faith: Thanks for taking me shopping, Mom. I love my new swimsuit!
Sharon: Of course, honey. I'm glad we found something you like. Now you'll be all set for the summer!
(Faith puts her one-piece swim dress in her bag and sees Marlon, the Gym Leader of Humilau City.)
Faith: Mom, isn't that Marlon over there?
Sharon: Oh, yes! It is. Let's go say hi.
[They walk over to Marlon, who is browsing through the electronics section.]
Faith: Hey, Marlon!
Marlon: Oh, hey Faith, hey Sharon! What's up?
Sharon: Not much, just doing some shopping. What about you?
Marlon: Just looking for a new phone case. Mine's falling apart.
Faith: Have you found anything good?
Marlon: Not yet, still searching. How about you two?
Sharon: Faith needed a new swimsuit, so we came to check out the selection.
Marlon: Ah, nice! Finding anything you like?
Faith: Yeah, I actually found a really cute two-piece. Mom convinced me to try something different this time.
Marlon: Nice! I'm sure it looks great on you.
Faith: Thanks, Marlon. What about you? Any luck with the phone case?
Marlon: Not yet, but I'll keep looking. I'm pretty picky when it comes to these things.
Sharon: Well, if you need any help, just let us know.
Marlon: Thanks, Sharon, I appreciate it.
[They chat for a few more minutes before parting ways to continue their shopping.]
Faith: It was nice running into Marlon.
Sharon: Yeah, it's always good to catch up with friends unexpectedly.
Faith: Hey, Marlon, how are Samurott and Wailord doing?
Marlon: They're doing great! Samurott has been training hard, and Wailord is as playful as ever.
Faith: That's awesome! How's their training been going?
Marlon: Really well, actually. Samurott has been mastering some new Water-type moves, and Wailord is getting faster in the water.
Faith: I'm glad to hear that. It sounds like they're both making good progress.
Marlon: Yeah, they are. Thanks for asking, Faith.
Faith: No problem, Marlon. I know how much your Pokémon mean to you.
[They smile, sharing a moment of appreciation for Marlon's dedication to his Pokémon.]
Sharon: It's great to see how much you care for them, Marlon.
Marlon: Thanks, Sharon. They're like family to me.
Faith: Oh, look at those pool toys over there! They're so cute!
Sharon: They are cute! Do you want to get some?
Faith: Definitely! It would be so much fun to have some new pool toys for the summer.
Sharon: Alright, let's take a look and see what they have.
[They walk over to the pool toy section and start browsing through the selection.]
Faith: Wow, they have everything from inflatable animals to water guns!
Sharon: What catches your eye, Faith?
Faith: I really like these inflatable rings shaped like donuts! And look, they have a pineapple one too!
Sharon: Those are adorable! Do you want to get one of each?
Faith: Yes, please! And maybe we can get some water guns too.
Sharon: Sounds like a plan. Let's pick out a couple of water guns as well.
[They select a few water guns and add them to their cart along with the inflatable rings.]
Faith: This is going to be so much fun! I can't wait to use these in the pool.
Sharon: Me too, Faith. It'll definitely make our pool days more exciting.
[They head to the checkout counter to purchase the pool toys.]
Cashier: Did you find everything okay?
Sharon: Yes, thank you. We're just getting some pool toys for the summer.
Cashier: That sounds like a lot of fun! Enjoy your purchases.
[After paying for their items, they head out of the store, excited to try out their new pool toys.]
Faith: Thanks for buying these with me, Mom. It's going to be the best summer ever!
(Back at home, Faith was packing for the summer pool party.)
Faith: Sunscreen, check. Sunglasses, check. Swimsuit, check. Pool toys, check. I'm all set for the summer pool party tomorrow!
(The next morning…)
Faith: [Stretching as she wakes up, feeling excited for the day ahead] Ah, today's Marlon's pool party!
Sharon: Good morning, Faith! Are you ready for some fun in the sun?
Faith: Absolutely! I can't wait to see everyone and splash around in the pool.
Sharon: What are you planning to wear?
Faith: I think I'll go with my tropical-themed one-piece swim dress. It's perfect for a pool party!
Sharon: That sounds like a great choice. You always look so cute in that swimsuit.
Faith: Thanks, Mom! I love how comfortable and stylish it is.
[After getting dressed in her tropical-themed one-piece swim dress, Faith heads downstairs to grab some breakfast before the party.]
Sharon: You look adorable, Faith! I hope you have a fantastic time at Marlon's party.
Faith: Thanks, Mom! I'm sure it's going to be a blast.
(Faith takes out her Salamence.)
Faith: Salamence, take to the skies!
[With a burst of energy, Faith sends out her Salamence from its Poké Ball. The majestic dragon Pokémon emerges, spreading its wings wide and letting out a powerful roar.]
Salamence: Salamence!
Sharon: Wow, Salamence looks amazing! It's incredible to see it up close like this.
Faith: Yeah, Salamence is such a powerful and graceful Pokémon. We make a great team, don't we?
Salamence: Salamence nods in agreement, its eyes gleaming with determination.
Faith: Alright, Salamence, let's fly high and scout the area around Blueberry Academy. We need to keep an eye out for any potential threats or challenges.
Salamence: Salamence nods again and flaps its wings, lifting off the ground with ease. It soars into the sky, scanning the surroundings with sharp eyes and keen senses.
Sharon: Be careful up there, Faith. And Salamence, make sure to watch over her.
Faith: Don't worry, Mom. We'll be fine. Salamence is one of the strongest Pokémon I know.
[They make their way to the poolside, where the sun is shining and the sound of laughter fills the air. Marlon's friends are already splashing around in the water, enjoying the warm weather.]
Sarah: Looks like everyone's having a blast already.
David: Let's join in on the fun! Marlon, don't forget to apply sunscreen before you jump in.
Marlon: Thanks, Dad. Safety first!
[After applying sunscreen, Marlon dives into the pool, joining his friends in their water games and races. Sarah and David watch proudly from the sidelines, enjoying the lively atmosphere of the pool party.]
Sarah: It's moments like these that make me grateful for our family time together.
David: Absolutely, Sarah. Marlon's growing up so fast, but it's moments like these that remind us to cherish every moment.
Faith: Hi, Marlon!
Marlon: Hey, Faith! Glad you could make it to the pool party.
Faith: Wouldn't miss it for the world. Your parties are always so much fun!
Marlon: Thanks, Faith! We've got lots of games and activities planned. You ready to make a splash?
Faith: Absolutely! Let's dive in!
Marlon: Wait 'till you see the new Pokémon I hate. Samurott, I choose you!
[Poké Ball opens up]
Samurott: [isuian Form] Samurott!
Faith: It's a black Samurott!
Marlon: Close, it's a Hisuian Samurott.
Faith: Samurott? [pulls out her Rotom Phone]
[Faith's Rotom Phone chimes]
Faith's Rotom Phone: "Samurott, Hisuian Form. The Formidable Pokémon. A Water and Dark type. Samurott has a cold-hearted personality. Unlike the Samurott from Unova, this regional form will do anything to win, whether it be surprise attacks, tricks, or cheap shots."
Faith: Lapras, let's go!
[Poké Ball opens up]
Lapras: Laaaaapp!
Faith: Hey, Marlon, ready for some pool volleyball?
Marlon: You bet, Faith! Let's make it interesting.
Faith: Lapras, let's show them what we've got!
Marlon: Samurott, let's do this!
[The pool volleyball game begins, with Faith and Marlon facing off against each other. Lapras and Samurott stand at opposite ends of the pool, ready to spike and block the ball.]
Faith: Alright, Lapras, set it up!
[Lapras uses Aqua Ring to create a swirling vortex of water, lifting the volleyball into the air with precision.]
Marlon: Samurott, Aqua Jet!
[Samurott propels itself through the water with incredible speed, smashing the volleyball over the net with its powerful Aqua Jet.]
Faith: Nice shot, Marlon! But we're not done yet. Lapras, Ice Beam!
[Lapras unleashes a beam of icy energy, freezing the surface of the water around the volleyball, causing it to skid unpredictably towards Marlon's side.]
Marlon: Quick, Samurott, Aqua Tail!
[Samurott's tail glows with water energy as it swings it with precision, sending the volleyball flying back towards Faith's side with incredible force.]
Faith: Woah, that was impressive, Marlon! But let's see if you can handle this. Lapras, Hydro Pump!
[Lapras unleashes a powerful stream of water from its mouth, sending the volleyball soaring towards Marlon with incredible speed.]
Marlon: Samurott, Aqua Tail again!
[Samurott responds quickly, using Aqua Tail to meet the volleyball mid-air and smash it back towards Faith's side with even more force.]
Faith: Wow, Marlon, you're really giving us a challenge! But we won't give up. Lapras, Blizzard!
[Lapras summons a freezing blizzard, creating a whirlwind of icy winds that sends the volleyball spinning wildly towards Marlon's side, making it difficult to predict its trajectory.]
Marlon: Samurott, Aqua Jet!
[Samurott propels itself through the water once again, intercepting the volleyball with incredible speed and redirecting it towards Faith's side with perfect precision.]
Faith: Incredible, Marlon! But we're not giving up just yet. Lapras, use Surf!
[Lapras creates a massive wave, sending the volleyball crashing towards Marlon's side with immense force.]
Marlon: Samurott, Aqua Jet, one more time!
[Samurott channels all its energy into one final Aqua Jet, colliding with the volleyball in mid-air and sending it soaring back towards Faith's side with unstoppable force.]
Faith: Woah, what a rally! You really pulled out all the stops, Marlon.
Marlon: Thanks, Faith! That was an intense game. Your Lapras is one tough opponent.
(One of Faith's Eevees got in the pool but it couldn't swim.)
Faith: [Playing in the pool with her Eevee, both in their swimsuits] Come on, Eevee, you can do it! Just a little further!
[Eevee paddles its tiny legs, trying to reach the edge of the pool, but it's struggling to stay afloat.]
Faith: You're almost there, Eevee! Just a little more—
[Suddenly, Eevee slips beneath the water's surface, its tiny body unable to keep above the water. Faith's eyes widen in panic as she realizes what's happening.]
Faith: Eevee! No!
[Before Faith can react, Mordecai notices the commotion and jumps into action. With his Quaxwell Pokémon by his side, he swiftly swims over to where Eevee is struggling.]
Mordecai: Don't worry, Faith, we've got this!
[Quaxwell dives beneath the water, its strong wings propelling it forward. With a swift movement, it scoops up Eevee in its beak and brings it back to the surface.]
Faith: Thank you, Mordecai! Thank you, Quaxwell!
[Mordecai and Quaxwell carefully return Eevee to Faith's arms, ensuring that it's safe and unharmed.]
Mordecai: No problem, Faith. We're just glad we could help. Make sure to keep a close eye on Eevee around the water from now on.
Faith: I will, Mordecai. Thanks again for saving Eevee.
Woody Woodpecker: Hey there, party people! Sorry I'm fashionably late to the pool bash!
[Woody Woodpecker arrives at the poolside, sporting his swim shorts from "Sync or Swim", his colorful and vibrant attire adding to the lively atmosphere of the party.]
Faith: Woody, you made it! Better late than never.
Marlon: Hey, Woody! Glad you could join us. The more, the merrier!
Woody Woodpecker: Thanks, pals! Couldn't resist the chance to make a splash with all of you.
[With Woody's arrival, the pool party kicks into high gear, with laughter, games, and good times shared by all. Woody's infectious energy adds an extra level of excitement to the festivities as they continue to enjoy the sunny day by the pool.]
Marlon: Hey, Woody! What's with the booth?
Woody: Oh, this? It's my latest venture - Woody's Butter-Scotchy Finger Pies!
Marlon: Finger pies? What are those?
Woody: They're little pies that you can eat with your fingers, of course! And they're filled with the most delicious butter-scotchy goodness you've ever tasted.
Marlon: Sounds interesting. Can I try one?
Woody: Absolutely! Here, have a sample.
[Woody hands Marlon a small butter-scotchy finger pie, and Marlon takes a bite.]
Marlon: Mmm, this is amazing! The butter-scotch flavor is so rich and creamy.
Woody: Glad you like it, Marlon! I thought it would be the perfect treat to enjoy by the pool.
Marlon: Definitely. Thanks, Woody! You've outdone yourself with these finger pies.
Marlon: Tell me about yourself, Woody. Did you live in a treehouse?
Woody: I sure did!
Marlon: Tell me about it.
Woody: You know, back in the day, I used to have the coolest treehouse right next to Wally Walrus's place.
Marlon: Really? That sounds like it was a lot of fun!
Woody: Oh, it was a blast! We'd spend hours up there, playing games, telling stories, you name it.
Faith: What happened to it?
Woody: Well, let's just say Wally and I had a little disagreement about who had the best view of the neighborhood.
Marlon: Uh-oh, I can imagine how that went.
Woody: Yeah, let's just say things got a little competitive. Before we knew it, we were in a full-on prank war, trying to outdo each other with our treehouse antics.
Faith: That sounds like it was both fun and chaotic!
Woody: Oh, it was! But eventually, things got a little out of hand, and... well, let's just say the treehouse didn't survive the rivalry.
Marlon: That's too bad. It sounds like it was a special place.
Woody: It was, Marlon. But hey, at least we have the memories, right?
Faith: Definitely. And who knows, maybe one day you'll build another treehouse and make even more memories.
Woody: Now there's an idea! Maybe I'll give ol' Wally a call and see if he's up for a rematch.
Marlon: Hey, Woody, you've always got the best stories. Mind sharing a bit more about your life?
Woody: Sure thing, Marlon! Let me tell you about Ms. Meany.
Marlon: Ms. Meany?
Woody: Yep, she was quite the character. You see, she was Wally Walrus's girlfriend back in the day.
Marlon: Really? What was she like?
Woody: Oh, where do I start? Ms. Meany was... well, let's just say her name suited her perfectly. She had a knack for finding the negative side of things and had a voice that could shatter glass.
Marlon: Sounds like she was a handful.
Woody: Oh, you have no idea. She was always causing trouble for me and my pals. But despite all her grumpiness, there was something about her that made you want to try and cheer her up.
Marlon: Did you ever manage to do that?
Woody: Well, there was this one time when we all got together to throw her a surprise birthday party. We decorated her house, baked her favorite cake, and even wrote her a song.
Marlon: That was nice of you!
Woody: Yeah, well, let's just say things didn't exactly go as planned. Ms. Meany was so shocked by the surprise that she ended up yelling at us and storming off.
Marlon: Oh no, that must have been disappointing.
Woody: It was, but looking back, it's kind of funny. Ms. Meany may have been grumpy most of the time, but she taught us the importance of patience, understanding, and not taking life too seriously.
Marlon: That's a valuable lesson, Woody.
Woody: Yep, and it's one I'll never forget. So, Marlon, what do you say we make some more memories of our own?
Woody: Hey, Marlon, have I ever told you about the time my mom, Wanda, visited me and Winnie for Mother's Day?
Marlon: No, Woody, I don't think you have. I'd love to hear about it!
Woody: Well, it all started when I got a surprise call from Mom a few days before Mother's Day. She said she wanted to come visit me and Winnie for the special day.
Marlon: That sounds like a wonderful surprise!
Woody: It was! I was thrilled to have Mom over, but I had to make sure everything was perfect for her visit. So, Winnie and I spent the next few days cleaning and preparing the house.
Marlon: I bet your mom appreciated all the effort you put in.
Woody: She sure did! When Mom arrived, we greeted her with big hugs and smiles. Winnie had even baked some of her famous nut cookies as a special treat.
Marlon: Yum, those sound delicious!
Woody: They were a hit! Mom loved them. We spent the day catching up, reminiscing about old times, and laughing together. It was such a joyous occasion.
Marlon: It sounds like you had a wonderful Mother's Day celebration with your mom, Woody.
Woody: We sure did, Marlon. Having Mom visit was the best gift I could ask for. It reminded me of just how lucky I am to have her in my life.
Marlon: That's beautiful, Woody. Thanks for sharing that story with me.
Woody: Anytime, Marlon. And hey, if you ever need a nut cookie recipe, you know who to ask!
Marlon: Hey, Woody, I've always wondered, how do you manage to chop down trees with just your beak?
Woody: Ah, Marlon, it's all in the technique! Watch closely.
[Woody positions himself in front of a sturdy tree, his beady eyes focused and determination etched on his face.]
Marlon: Whoa, Woody, be careful!
Woody: Don't worry, Marlon, I've got this!
[With a swift motion, Woody begins to peck at the base of the tree, his beak striking with precision and strength. Each peck is calculated, and soon, the tree begins to sway.]
Marlon: Incredible! You make it look so easy, Woody.
Woody: It's all about finding the right angle and using the natural strength of my beak. And voila!
[With one final powerful peck, Woody successfully chops through the tree, causing it to fall with a resounding thud.]
Marlon: That was amazing, Woody! You really do have a knack for chopping trees.
Woody: Thanks, Marlon! It's just one of the many skills us woodpeckers possess. Now, who's up for some treehouse building?
Faith: Maybe later.
Woody: Okay, but if you change your mind, let me know.
Marlon: Hey, Woody, are you going to join us in the pool?
Woody: You bet, Marlon! I can't resist a good splash.
[With a mischievous grin, Woody takes a few steps back, eyeing the pool with excitement. Then, with a whoop of delight, he leaps into the air, tucking his wings close to his body as he plunges headfirst into the cool water.]
Marlon: Woohoo, nice dive, Woody!
Faith: That was quite the entrance!
Woody: Thanks, guys! Nothing like a refreshing swim on a hot day.
Mordecai: I can't believe it's been 6 years since we first went to middle school.
Flashback to the last day of middle school:
[At the pool party celebrating the end of middle school, Mordecai and Woody are decked out in their retro-inspired swimsuits. Mordecai sports colorful Hawaiian print board shorts, while Woody opts for classic striped trunks.]
Mordecai: Can you believe middle school is finally over?
Woody: I know, right? It feels like just yesterday we were starting out as clueless sixth-graders.
Mordecai: And now, here we are, ready to take on high school.
Woody: But first, let's make the most of this pool party! Cannonball!
[With a whoop of excitement, Woody leaps into the pool, creating a splash that drenches everyone nearby. Mordecai follows suit, laughing as he joins his friend in the water.]
Mordecai: This is the perfect way to end the school year!
Woody: Absolutely! Here's to new beginnings and endless summer adventures!
End of flashback
Woody: Hey, Mordecai, check out these squirt guns I found! Mine's ketchup-themed, and yours is mustard-themed.
Mordecai: Haha, those are awesome! You're on, Woody. Let's have a water fight!
[Woody and Mordecai engage in an epic water fight, laughing and dodging as they squirt each other with their ketchup and mustard-themed squirt guns. The poolside erupts with laughter and splashing as they playfully soak each other.]
Woody: Take that, Mordecai! You're all mustarded up!
Mordecai: Oh yeah? Well, catch up with this, Woody!
[The water fight continues, with Woody and Mordecai gleefully drenching each other with their squirt guns, enjoying the friendly competition.]
Underwater scene:
[Underwater, Mordecai is wearing a swim mask under his eyes and nose, allowing him to enjoy his burger and fries without getting water in his eyes.]
Mordecai: Mmm, nothing like enjoying a burger and fries underwater!
[With a grin, Mordecai takes a bite of his burger, savoring the delicious flavors as he floats weightlessly in the pool. He then grabs a handful of fries, munching on them happily as he enjoys the underwater tranquility.]
Woody: Hey, Mordecai, save some fries for me!
Mordecai: Sorry, Woody, these are too good to resist!
("Who's that Pokémon?")
Faith and Mordecai: Who's that Pokémon?!
(A silhouette shows a picture of a duck-like Pokémon.)
…
(Moments later, the picture was revealed to be a Quaquaval.)
Faith and Mordecai: It's… Quaquaval!
Quaquaval: Quaquaval!
(End of "Who's that Pokémon?" segment)
Mordecai: Quaxwell, are you okay?
[Quaxwell chirps weakly, struggling to stand after the intense battle.]
Marlon: That was a tough fight, Mordecai. Your Quaxwell gave it everything it had.
Mordecai: Yeah, he did. But I don't think he can take much more.
[Just as Mordecai is about to recall Quaxwell to his Poké Ball, a sudden transformation begins to take place. Quaxwell's body starts to glow with a brilliant light, and Mordecai watches in awe as his beloved Pokémon undergoes an incredible evolution.]
Mordecai: What's happening to Quaxwell?
Marlon: I think... I think he's evolving!
[Quaxwell's form changes, its feathers morphing and expanding as it grows larger and more powerful. When the light fades, a magnificent Pokémon stands before them – Quaquaval, the evolved form of Quaxwell.]
Mordecai: Quaquaval... you evolved!
[Quaquaval chirps proudly, its new form radiating strength and determination.]
Marlon: That's amazing, Mordecai! Your Quaquaval looks incredible.
Mordecai: Yeah, he does. And I have a feeling he's ready for anything now.
(Mordecai pulls out his Rotom Phone and scans his newly-evolved Quaquaval.)
Mordecai's Rotom Phone: "Quaquaval, the Dancer Pokémon. A Water and Fighting type. Quaquaval bewilders anyone who see it, dazzling them with its legs with the moves it learns from different countries around the world."
Mordecai: Alright, you evolvedand learned Aqua Step!
(Just then, after using Aqua Step, Marlon's Samurott was weakened.)
Marlon: Samurott, return!
[Poké Ball whirls]
Faith: Wow, Mordecai, Quaquaval looks amazing!
Mordecai: Thanks, Faith! I can't believe Quaxwell evolved into this powerful form.
Faith: It's incredible! Congratulations, Quaquaval!
[Quaquaval chirps happily, its chest puffing out proudly at the praise.]
Mordecai: Quaquaval says thank you, Faith.
Faith: You're welcome, Quaquaval. I'm excited to see what you can do now!
(Later, Faith and her friends were have burgers with fries.)
Faith: This burger is delicious! Thanks for grilling, Marlon.
Marlon: No problem, Faith! Anything for my awesome friends.
Mordecai: These fries are on point, Marlon. Great job!
Marlon: Thanks, Mordecai! I'm glad you guys are enjoying them.
Woody: Hey, Marlon, thanks for inviting us to your pool party. It's been a blast!
Marlon: Of course, Woody! I'm glad you could make it. And speaking of which, I have something for you.
[Marlon reaches into his pocket and pulls out a shiny badge.]
Marlon: Woody, for hosting such an epic pool party and bringing so much fun to everyone, I want to present you with the Wave Badge.
Woody: Wow, Marlon, I don't know what to say. Thank you so much!
