A white dove flew down to Earth. It chips as it begins to look for its master. After escaping from its so-called caretaker, it could sense an angel that matched it. Strangely, the angel it sensed wasn't from heaven, but on Earth. It flew down, dodging many angels that tried to grab it before finally reaching Earth. It looked around before sensing its angel moving. It quickly follows the angel before finally seeing her.
The dove was surprised to see a human instead of an angel. And there were more humans around it. But there was something different about the three. The girl it was looking at did feel like an angel. The other two were distinct. The other girl carried a power that was more known for demons, but it was a lot stronger. The boy had both the living and dead in his body. Showing power like that was surprising. It then saw them stand up to two other humans who had nothing special about them. They soon left after that, and the dove followed them.
Later,
After helping Danny get Cujo back to Ghost Zone, having a strong feeling that he would just come back out, Emily headed home feeling a little jealous of her friends. While Danny was right that he couldn't adopt Cujo because of his parents, both he and Charlie had their own pets now. This was different from when both she and Charlie wished they had siblings of their own. Emily sighed, knowing that she couldn't hold it against her friends.
"Still wish that I had a pet too." She said, entering her home.
"I'M NOT FUCKING MARRIED!"
Emily blinks, surprised to hear Sera swear. She walks over to Sera's office, seeing her yelling in her phone.
"There was no wedding! There were no flowers! I don't even have a boyfriend and I'm not looking for one!" Sera shouted before hanging up.
"Of all the rotten, stupid, no good luck..." She groans before a cup of tea is placed in front of her.
"You only swear after a very rough day," Emily said.
"Why does everyone think I'm married?" Sera asked.
"Well, if I was to guess, most people your age would be married by now. I mean, looked at the Fentons." Emily said, shrugging.
"I'm going to let that comment about my age slide, Emily," Sera said, drinking her tea.
"Sorry," Emily said, flinching.
"It's okay. You seemed pretty upset yourself. What's the matter?" Sera asked.
"Well, Charlie got a new cat," Emily said, surprising her.
"Really?" Sera asked.
"Yeah. Her name is KeeKee. And Daniel is taking care of a puppy. He named him Cujo." Emily said.
"I never knew the Fentons would take a pet of their own," Sera said.
"Err, that's the thing. It's a stray. But seems to love being around Daniel. However, he's very unsure about telling his parents about it because of..." Emily had to stop herself there.
'Can't tell her that it's a ghost. I don't even have a story ready. I really wished I didn't have to lie to Sera.' Emily thought.
"Hmm, I'm sure I can help him keep the puppy, but I need to know the full story for that," Sera said before her phone rang again.
"Yes?" She said, answering.
Emily could see the anger reappear on her face, knowing what was about to happen.
"I'M...NOT...MARRIED!" She shouted hanging up.
"Maybe you should find someone, Sera. It could help get some of the people to stop bugging you about it." Emily said.
"I would if I had time to look, Emily," Sera said.
"What about Vlad Masters?" Emily asked.
Sera looked at her before they both burst out laughing.
"I know, I know. Can't believe what I just said." Emily said, shaking her head.
"Even if he wasn't pinning for Maddie, I doubt I could change him into the ideal man," Sera said.
Sera had told Heaven about Vlad and they agreed to keep an eye on him. It was also rumored that he was working with demons, but so far, no proof was found. Her phone rang again and Sera groaned.
"If this is about me being married..." She started before hearing the voice.
"Oh? Michael? Sorry about that. I keep getting calls about me being married since everyone keeps calling me Mrs. instead of Ms." She said before listening.
"I see. I'll keep an eye out for it." She said, hanging up.
"What was that? And who's Michael?" Emily asked.
"A friend. He told me that one of the heavenly doves he was taking care of escaped. He asks me to keep an eye out for it." Sera said.
"A Heavenly Dove?" Emily asked.
"Doves that have feathers so white it's believed to be from heaven itself," Sera said.
"Really?" Emily asked.
"I have seen myself. I was also told that they were nicknamed the Angel Doves. Sometimes seeing a dove means an angel could be near." Sera said.
"Wow," Emily said, surprised.
"However, I must head out and look for it. You look like you could use some rest." Sera said.
Emily wanted to refuse but thought better of it. She could use a little nap.
"Okay." She said, heading for her room.
Sera watched her before hearing her phone ring again. Not wanting to deal with another question about her being married, she shuts her phone off before locking it in her desk.
Emily's Room,
Emily lay on her bed, falling asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow. She slept for a good ten minutes before hearing something tapping her window. She awoke and yawned before hearing the tapping again. She looked over to her window, thinking that Charlie or Danny needed her help with a ghost. However, she was surprised to see a dove tapping her window.
Emily stood up and walked over to it. She opened her window and looked at the dove.
"Where did you come from?" She asked it.
The dove looked at her before flying on top of her head. Emily blinks as it seems to rest there.
"You think my head is a nest?" She asked, looking at it.
"It seems that dove found you."
Emily blinks before seeing a real angel outside, shocking her.
"You're an angel?!" She asked, taking a step back.
"Indeed, Emily. It's nice to meet you." She said, smiling.
"You know who I am?" Emily asked.
"Of course, Serenity." The angel said, shocking her.
"Heaven has been watching you. While many are confused about why you would team up with a demon, Saint Michael had agreed to let you three be." The Angel said.
"Saint Michael?" Emily asked, surprised.
The angel looked at the dove, not moving from Emily's head. It was clear that it found its owner and she had no right to take it away.
"Is this dove yours?" Emily asked.
"No. She belongs to you, now." She said, making Emily blink.
"Are you sure?" She asked.
"Indeed. Please take good care of her." The Angel said.
Emily looked confused before she carefully reached up and pulled the dove off her head. It looked back at her before Emily set it down. The dove just flew back onto her head, making the Angel smile.
"Take good care of Soul." She said.
"Soul?" Emily asked.
"That's her name. Heaven is trusting you to take care of one of the doves." She said before flying off.
Emily just blinks lost on what just happened.
"Daniel and Charlie are not going to believe this," Emily said, reaching for her phone.
The Angel flew before spotting Sera flying up to her.
"Sera. Nice to see you." She said.
"Zadbiel. Did you find it?" Sera asked.
"It appears that Soul found her angel. Emily." She said, shocking Sera.
"A-Are sure? Emily doesn't even know about her true origins." She asked.
"Yes. And remember, we are watching her. And many of us are proud of our niece too." Zadbiel said.
Sera looked away, unsure if Emily was ready for something like that, but she knew that Emily was a growing girl. She needed to stop holding her back.
"And Michael is working out a way to get those people to stop thinking you're married. And Emily's right, you should find someone that would love you." She added, heading back to heaven.
Sera sighs. There was a lot to do today, and she had no idea where to start.
Okay, that's all for this. So, Emily got a new pet! A Dove named Soul. Thanks to drake wind for the name. And thanks to everyone else for their names too! It was a bit tricky to pick but Soul stuck out more.
No Danny and Charlie in this chapter. It's all Emily. And Sera deals with people mistaking her for being married. And I even brought in Zadbiel. Is that angel male or female? I know people do think that some angels could be male or female but sometimes the names throw me off. Micahel is easy. That is mostly a guy's name and Miachel is thought to be a male angel.
