Chapter 11: Adjusting To A New Relationship! Minerva's Date & Discussions With Lucy! Phoebe's Prominence In Fashion! The Surprising Job!
Minerva's POV
I slowly opened my eyes and woke up to see that I was in the inn at Blizzard Town, and I still felt somewhat tired as my head gently pressed down into the bed. This bed felt so comfortable, and I could feel the blue bed sheets gently rub against my skin. I closed my eyes while eliciting a happy sigh, feeling my legs also softly rub against the bed, and I soon felt Lucy's soft hands gently rub my stomach. Her hands caressed my stomach in a slow manner, causing a happy sigh to escape from my lips, and Lucy softly nuzzled her head against my breasts.
Upon feeling Lucy's head nuzzle against my huge breasts, my face blushed light pink and I felt warm feelings of bliss enter my heart. Lucy's skin was so soft and smooth, along with being sticky, and rubbing her ass with one hand allowed me to feel some hot and sticky juices being on it. I slowly got my hand off of her ass in this moment where I continued to blush at her while my pussy felt as wet as her ass, and my lips formed a sultry smile. I smiled at how Lucy seemed to have enjoyed having sex with me like we had been a pair of lovers, and sex was certainly one of our shared interests.
Sharing an interest in sex also made my mind remember that we shared a passionate kiss last night, and that kiss had been different from when Lucy and I kissed in Sunnysol Town. Kissing Lucy during therapeutic sex was different than how I kissed her while we mutually felt a sense of unity, and I felt that my feelings of love for Lucy were still growing stronger. In fact, they were growing much larger to where Lucy crawled on top of me in her sleep and I gently closed my eyes as my lips gave her a very soft kiss on the forehead.
As I kissed Lucy's forehead, I elicited a soft sigh and made my hand gently rub her face. Lucy still slept as my hands caressed her beautiful face, and her cheeks blushed fuchsia pink while my own cheeks also blushed fuchsia pink at how I was giving Lucy such a sweet kiss. I ended that kiss for the purpose of kissing one of Lucy's cheeks, causing her to blissfully sigh while her hands softly wrapped themselves around my back, and I proceeded to softly sigh at how our breasts were gently pressed together in this moment.
"Lucy is... my girlfriend now." I thought to myself with a smile of pleasure on my face, as our breasts gently rubbed together.
The feeling of Lucy making her breasts brush against my huge boobs caused me to sultrily say aloud, before moaning, "Lucy... That feels... Ahhhhhh..."
Lucy was still asleep, but I felt like moaning in a blissful manner at how I let myself make Lucy's feelings of romance towards me be reciprocated. She had been so much time being attracted to me, and I now felt deeply in love with Lucy. My own heart was beating in unison with hers as our chests were so close together, and I could no longer deny Lucy's feelings as her hands started to rub my body. I smiled in a joyful manner from letting myself embrace that Lucy was my girlfriend now, and I was now her girlfriend.
Even though I had given Lucy what she wanted, she also gave me the opportunity to be with a very loyal girl who would idolize me. Lucy idolizing me more than any of those beautiful women in Aroma Flair was a thought that made me feel very happy, especially since Lucy could put me up high on a pedestal when I didn't have moment of confidence. Lucy would be able to elevate me when I was feeling down, just like when we took a cold shower together, and I would even take cold showers with her if she ever had moments of needing to cry in the shower with me right by her side.
Spending so much time alongside Lucy also prompted me to smile at how she was such a sweet girl, having her moments of sweetly giggling at certain experiences while I would just learn to enjoy certain girly things, and the thought of being around several pink flowers with Lucy in her pink bikini from the Naval Battle caused me to have a relaxed smile on my face. Lucy was always so sweet and cute while I had been so strict and refined, but having common interests meant that we weren't as different as we thought. As Lucy and I both made our hands caress each other's bodies, my soft hand stroking and groping Lucy's ass caused her to cutely moan before waking up with a lustful look in her eyes.
"Good morning, Minerva-sama." Lucy told me with a lustful smile on her face, before softly kissing my lips.
That caused me to reply while my smile became just as lustful, "Good morning, Lucy."
"It may be morning, but being with you still feels like I'm in a wonderful dream." Lucy responded with a smile of happiness on her face, before cutely giggling.
Lucy being with me felt as if she had been in an amazing dream? If she had been dreaming some happy and pleasant thoughts about me, then I would certainly feel quite happy to start asking her about her dreams. The thought of asking Lucy questions about some of her fantasies or dreams caused my smile to shift towards being somewhat more calm, and my eyes became filled with slight feelings of relaxation from realizing that this was officially the first time that Lucy's crush on someone actually escalated into a romantic relationship.
Lucy hadn't been very experienced with romantic relationships, evident by how her crush on Erza ended with a rejection that made Lucy feel so very jealous and distraught. Despite Lucy being distraught, it seemed like Erza's feelings of love towards Annette meant that they were the kind of couple that had progressed past the stage in their relationship where they had to get to know each other on a deep and personal level. Did I know any of Lucy's deepest secrets? Did Lucy ever ask about any of my personal secrets?
I hadn't even asked Lucy about her home, along with not asking about her personal life. If we couldn't get on the same wavelength of wanting to personally know each other, then only having sex and days of leisure would just bring some sense of boredom to our relationship. I didn't want Lucy to feel bored in this relationship, and I started softly smiling while thinking that we could start getting to know each other on a deep level. In fact, I proceeded to get out of bed and walk towards Lucy's clothes while having a cute idea take shape in my mind.
Lucy's POV
Minerva proceeded to put on my underwear, before she sighed happily in the moment of putting on my bra and my shirt. Even though my clothes had been purchased by Minerva, my face blushed light pink from seeing Minerva wear my clothes. She was wearing my underwear after we had sex, which meant that Minerva was wanting me to wear her lacy underwear. I got off of the bed while my eyes were focused on Minerva's underwear, and putting her soft panties on my body caused me to sigh in a happy manner.
My smile became more joyful as I proceeded to put on the bra that Minerva had been wearing, and I softly gasped in a shocked manner at how her bra was slipping off of my body. Minerva's bra was a few sizes too large for my huge breasts, but I didn't feel very uncomfortable as I put on Minerva's garter belt and her yoga pants. These pants weren't extremely tight, but putting my hands on my ass caused me to softly giggle at how they made my booty look much larger. I proceeded to shake my ass in a sultry manner while being right in front of Minerva, prompting her to giggle in a cute manner.
Hearing Minerva elicit a cute giggle while I danced caused me to blush more, before putting on her coat. I soon felt Minerva's large amount of creams in the containers press against my chest, and I managed to catch one of the containers as it fell out. I opened the container while having a soft smile on my face, and I turned to Minerva for the chance to see her look a bit disinterested at using Aoikina's skin cream. Aoikina hadn't bought all these skin creams for me or Minerva, meaning that we could just use her skin cream while having feelings of curiosity.
I opened the container of light blue skin cream, before closing my eyes and applying a high amount of it to every part of my face. The cream ended up softly dripping off of my face while it felt extremely cold, but I walked towards where Minerva had been standing. I felt her take the cream out of my hands, and she sighed softly while putting some of it on her face. Minerva gently rubbed some cream on my eyelids, causing me to slowly open my eyes. I felt my cheeks warmly blush at Minerva, and I also felt the cream melt on my hot cheeks from how I loved the sight of Minerva having light blue cream all over her face as if she had gotten a facial.
"Lucy, this cream truly brings out all the cum that's still on your face." Minerva seductively told me, before catching a huge amount of cream that dripped off from below my lips.
I responded to me in a soft whisper, sounding a bit flustered as I kindly smile, "Minerva-sama, I...! I did feel some of your cum on my face."
I proceeded to touch my face, feeling some parts of it very sticky, and I wondered if I rubbed some of Minerva's juices on to my face during my sleep. If I had, then it probably felt warm and smooth like getting a hot facial in a spa without the facial being bothersome. Similarly, I didn't really feel bothered by Minerva wanting to have sex with me yesterday. When she felt very lustful towards me, I had felt my own feelings of lust well up in my heart. The feeling of lust was still in my heart, but now I also felt romantic feelings of bliss.
I blissfully smiled as I looked at Minerva, seeing her start to joyfully smile from how we were both girlfriends. Now that Minerva was my girlfriend, I began to think about how this was my very first relationship. Since Minerva was dating me, would her being possessive of me also have to involve moments of me being possessive if other girls seemingly acted flirty towards Minerva? I would certainly be upset in a situation where someone else had a crush on Minerva, since I felt like I had put in a high amount of effort to make Minerva feel like she could be in a relationship with me.
I would try to make this relationship thrive, and I smiled with more bliss as I really wanted this relationship to be something much than having another crush on a woman. Although, did that mean I would have to be very appealing to Minerva by doing more than giving her several romantic gifts? Would romantic gifts that she gave me be sweet, only for us both to feel more sweetness when we had to emotionally comfort each other? Would our relationship be so hot to where our flames of love and lust would ironically end up burning our romantic chemistry down into ashes?
"Minerva-sama, I... I... I really want this relationship to work!" I told Minerva with a frown of anxiety starting to appear on my face, feelings of worry entering my eyes at the thought of the relationship quickly falling apart.
Minerva asked me with a curious facial expression while walking towards me, before sounding somewhat stern, "Are you worried about our love burning down into ashes, Lucy? Do you realize that we may need more than lust and sex for us to have a happy relationship?"
I told Minerva with a somewhat calm smile forming on my face, before asking with a puzzled facial expression, "Yes, Minerva-sama. You must be reading my mind to know my concerns so accurately. Although, how do we start making our relationship thrive?"
"Why don't you visit my house before you go home? Would you even want to go out on a little date in Mauve with me?" Minerva asked with a seductive look on her face, before sounding interested in the idea of taking me out on a date.
I nodded in an agreeing manner at her suggestions, happy that we could quickly start trying to make our new relationship thrive. I felt so happy to where I motioned for Minerva to come closer and hug me, prompting her to let out a rude scoff as if my niceness was starting to rub off on her. If my niceness was affecting Minerva, then her calm and calculating personality was starting to rub off on me because of how I was starting to think through situations. I gave a soft hug to Minerva while she responded by hugging me just as softly, and I deeply looked into her beautiful green eyes.
Minerva's eyes displayed a feeling of sternness, the strict look in her eyes informing me that she wasn't only thinking about having sex with me after every job that we completed, and reading the emotions in Minerva's eyes made me realize that she wanted us to grow closer. We may have felt close by having some common interests, but it would be important for us to start getting to know each other better. After all, Minerva and I could benefit each other by talking about topics such as our favorite kinds of magic, our strengths, and our weaknesses.
One of my personal weaknesses was that I sometimes did get careless, such as when I tried to defeat Flare Corona in the Grand Magic Games by making Gemini join me in using Urano Metria. If I had done something different in that moment, then Flare probably wouldn't have been able to cancel out my magic so easily after she had been panicking. Minerva had her own moments of panicking, such as when she didn't want me to fight Phoebe, and I would probably panic if Minerva told me that she would go up against Annette Rosia in a fashion show tomorrow. Minerva's house was probably filled with awards from different fashion hows, even if she won them by cheating, and I personally felt interested in seeing where she lived.
Three hours later, in Mauve Town... (Minerva's POV)
After checking out of the inn and taking the train back to Mauve Town, I took Lucy down the route in Mauve Town that led to my house. Taking Lucy to my house caused her to happily smile, especially since my house had been close to a fountain of mauve purple flower that contained seven roses in different shades of purple. Lucy and I didn't go towards the fountain, and we chose to go inside my house. Lucy got to see that my living room had lavender purple carpeting with orchid purple walls, which complimented the orchid purple glass table that went well with the lavender purple couch.
The couch hadn't been as fancy as the one from Annette's fashion campaign, but it had certainly been elegant. Elegance was also in my dining room, which had been right beside the living room, and the dining room contained a dark purple circular table with grape purple chairs. The chairs were close to touching the lacy eggplant purple tablecloth that had been on the table, and a mauve purple chandelier with its glass resembling mauve roses hung above the table. Glancing up at the ceiling for a moment prompted my mind to think about how Lucy didn't see my bedroom yet, and I would gladly take her up to it.
I proceeded to hold one of Lucy's hands while taking her over to the lavender purple staircase, which went well with the boysenberry purple carpeting that covered the stair steps. Going up the staircase while holding Lucy's hand caused me to have a smile of dominance on my face, loving the fact that she was following me up the stairs as I took the lead in our relationship. Leading Lucy into the light purple hallway caused my lips to form a calm smile, and walking to the first room on the right side of this hallway allowed us to reach my room.
When Lucy walked past me and entered my room, she glanced at several areas of my neat room with a smile of amazement on her face. Had my room been much cleaner than hers? I smiled in a confident manner while seeing her walk over to my wide dark purple dresser, Lucy's eyes noticing that all of my current awards were on top of it. She cutely giggled at the sight of the trophy that I had won in Cyan Town, and Lucy glanced at my nearby closet to see that all of my coats and other clothes were neatly organized. Although, I joined her in walking towards the closet as we both saw something bulging out from one of my royal purple dresses.
Upon taking out that object to see that it was a plain purple picture frame featuring a photo of me standing next to Annette Rosia in Bloom Town, I showed it to Lucy and told her with an apologetic look on her face, "Sorry for keeping this memory, Lucy. It may feature Annette standing next to me, but my father always made me keep it as a reminder of failure."
As Lucy got to see me looking two years younger in this picture while Annette wore an elegant striped chocolate brown skirt with tawny brown leggings that matched her mocha brown midriff shirt and sunglasses, Lucy asked me with a curious facial expression, "Why is it a reminder of failure, Minerva-sama? Did you and Annette date, only to have a bad breakup?"
That prompted me to groan in an annoyed manner, before rolling my eyes and sternly telling Lucy, "No, Lucy. Annette defeated me in a fashion show after we had both finished jobs in Bloom Town. Despite it not being a job, my father Jiemma despised the fact that I received second place after Annette proved herself to be such a formidable opponent."
Despite recalling the hollow sound of the silver trophy that I brought into Sabertooth win the smaller amount of money that I received, I still remembered the sound of Jiemma aggressively taking away my trophy and destroying it with his Blast Magic. Seeing him shatter that trophy into dust with not an ounce of remorse made me fear his wrath, and he did viciously beat me up for failing to defeat Annette in that competition. We may not have physically fought each other, but Jiemma still had to see Annette winning on Lacrima Vision Screens while I had failed.
Experiencing that failure caused me to get beaten for hour until he got tired, but that beating was nothing compared to when I started to get a losing streak of failing to fairly win in fashion shows. I couldn't even elegantly dress for a fun event, since I needed to obtain victory at any cost. Not getting victories also involved a loss against Phoebe Hauntra, who didn't even acknowledge me in that contest because of how I didn't even get past the first round, and having such a mediocre walk on the runway at that time made Jiemma feel so disappointed to where he angrily harmed me until I couldn't even be conscious enough to walk.
Always getting beaten and failing to fairly win fashion shows had been a reason why I primarily avoided them until Lucy needed to pay back her debt to Seductive Witch, but there was just something that felt rather comforting about a goody-goody girl like Lucy not telling the judges that I cheated to win. She was less experienced in romance, and in the fashion industry. Competing with classy and elegant girls on the runway wasn't as fair as people thought it was, since people like Annette had advantages of judges being from their specific guilds.
"Anyway, Annette had beautiful clothes at that time and my clothes were nowhere near that level of being stylish. I thought that my style was good enough, but my father even scolded me for that as well when he found out about my failures in the fashion industry. Although, I can probably say that Phoebe recently beating me just as badly as him means I can just keep dressing elegantly without trying to fairly receive a gold trophy." I explained to Lucy with an expression on my face that was a mix of depression and sternness, as I proceeded to sit down on the bed.
Lucy sat down beside me on the bed, before asking me with a curious look on her face, "Do you think that you'll get featured in a few pages of Sorcerer Magazine by not winning any prominent fashion shows, or becoming good enough to have a high-quality fashion campaign?"
"If you're trying to encourage me to fairly participate in a fashion show, then you truly are naive." I replied to Lucy with a slightly annoyed look forming on my face.
Lucy replied with an encouraging smile appearing on her face, "Minerva-sama, you're right. I'm inexperienced in the fashion industry. However, doing so many jobs and engaging in harsh fights has taught me that you can't win or lose if you don't at least try your best. If you do lose alongside me, I'll be happy to cheer you on for doing somewhat better if I perform worse."
Lucy's last sentence caused me to look a bit surprised, as I had never heard of anyone cheering for a loser during a competition. That almost seemed like Lucy was trying to pity me, but how could she pity me if he ranked lower than me in a list of losers? If I did choose to fairly participate in a fashion competition, then I just hoped that the odds of winning would be in my favor. There would be some girls who attempted to sabotage others while trying to obtain that gold trophy and the fame that came with it, but could I fairly win against other women?
That loss against Annette had really dealt a blow to my ego, since I had perceived Sabertooth to always be filled with the strongest wizards who excelled at every task in the entire kingdom of Fiore, but failing to get prominent victories in the fashion industry hadn't been as bad when I contributed to Sabertooth losing the Grand Magic Games. When Sabertooth lost that tournament, Jiemma found me on that night and he gave me such a harsh beating. He even tore off the remnants of my dress, wanting me to take off my clothes like a trashy failure.
Although, the fact that he viewed me as trashy and almost forced me to go to Tartaros with him made me remember something awful. I started to look depressed from thinking about how Jiemma desired for me to continue his bloodline, wanting me to get married to someone who could help me give birth to my own children, and he had been so adamant in the belief that he would choose my partner for marriage. To my own father, I had merely been a tool that was now dispensable. That feeling always came back into my mind whenever Phoebe thought she was superior to me in Seductive Witch, too.
The feeling of failure continued to plague my mind, but the soft feeling of Lucy's hand touching my hand in a very comforting smile caused me to look over at her and see her cocoa brown eyes. They were filled with a mix of comfort and confidence, as if she strongly believed that I could fairly win in any type of battle. On that note, I started to smile in a calmer manner from looking at Lucy's smile and realizing that I had won the battle for having her heart's romantic feelings be directed towards me. Lucy wanted to comfort me in my moment of feeling down, and I looked down at the recently-bought clothes in Blizzard while realizing that I could show her some appreciation in a comforting way.
Five minutes later, in Mauve Town... (Lucy's POV)
Minerva showed her appreciation for me by taking me out on a date to one of the cafes in the town of Mauve, this cafe having wine purple end tables that were outside while they looked very elegant. Minerva looked just as elegant, wearing the royal blue dress that I picked out for her in Blizzard Town, and I dressed up for this date by changing into one of the orchid purple dresses that had been in her closet. Wearing this mini dress with a pair of Minerva's dark purple shoes that she had outgrown felt quite interesting, and I glanced down at Minerva's feet to see her wearing some sapphire blue shoes.
I glanced up from Minerva's feet to see that she happily smiled while looking at one of the Sangria purple menus that had been on our table, prompting me to also pick up a menu. Upon seeing that they had some buttermilk cookies with the predominant taste of lavender that smelled like a sweet lavender incense, I chose to order those cookies with a glass of electric purple soda that tasted like grapes with raspberries mixed in. Minerva had one finger on the portion of desserts pertaining to buttermilk cookies pertinent to tasting like purple raspberries, and those berries were actually burned in an incense before being mixed in with the cookie dough.
Dessert was a sweet way of starting off this date, since the heaviness of all the food in a main course and the pressure to finish eating it all would only add to Minerva's worries. I didn't want Minerva to feel worried today, especially since we hadn't even taken a job yet. If we had to take a job pertinent to fashion, then it would hopefully be an easy one. Applying makeup to the face of a beautiful fashion model would be quite an easy and simple task for us to handle, even if that job wouldn't benefit us by making us become wealthy.
Speaking of becoming wealthy, I started to have a somewhat disappointed look on my face from realizing that there had been somewhat of a gap in wealth between myself and Minerva. Despite the fact that I ran away from my father's large estate, I currently just lived in an apartment while Minerva had a house. If I was never capable of buying a house, would Minerva still want to be dating me? Having a girlfriend truly did make several questions enter my mind, but I frowned more from realizing that Minerva wouldn't want to handle any jobs in Magnolia Town.
"If you're worried about today's job, then maybe we can just handle something meager in Bloom Town." Minerva told me with a calm look on her face, sounding slightly confident as she looked into my eyes.
That caused me to ask with a concerned look on my face, remembering that Annette had beaten me up, "Minerva-sama, isn't that where Aroma Flair's women hang out?"
Minerva responded with a somewhat calm facial expression, "They're not against lesbians, if that's what you're worried about. If you're worrying over Annette, then I'm sure she'll be busy."
Even if I could avoid crossing paths with Annette again, I doubted that the other girls would feel happy to see me there. Erza probably told them that I was the girl who had been wanting to date her, which possibly made the girls of Aroma Flair perceive me as being weird and creepy. I didn't want to be viewed as an unpleasant girl, and I didn't believe that I could defeat those fashionable women. Even though they could outclass me in style, Minerva still looked very calm about how the girls of Aroma Flair wouldn't hurt me.
Minerva would be there with me to make sure that I wouldn't be harmed, and I trusted Minerva. In fact, Minerva would be the person who had the dilemma of choosing today's job. If a client in the town of Bloom sent a flyer to our guild's request board, then we would see if the mission could be handled. If we couldn't handle that mission, then we would just pick out a different job. Choosing jobs had been an important part of my dynamic with Minerva, since we only went to Blizzard Town because of the job that I slyly picked out.
Minerva slyly smiled while her eyes informed me that she was definitely wanting to handle a job pertaining to Bloom Town, and I wondered if Minerva was trying to help me have more self-confidence by making me go into a town where I personally felt that I would be disliked. I ironically put myself in a situation before by going to Mauve Town, which was a town that had been unkind to mages in legal guilds. Going near a legal guild as a dark mage was different, though. Dark mages could easily get attacked by mages who were in legal guilds, and I felt that I would be like a pariah.
"Minerva-sama, I really hope we'll be okay in Bloom Town." I told her with a somewhat anxious look on my face, not feeling fully intent on going to Bloom Town.
My anxiety caused Minerva to respond to me with a stern frown appearing on her face, folding her arms, "If you're very anxious, then I'm feeling very anxious. If we can't feel unity for handling that job, Lucy, then we can certainly handle another task."
The idea of handling a different task did cause me to softly smile, and I wondered what Minerva and I would do at a later point in the day. Thinking too far ahead into the future wouldn't be beneficial right now, though, and Minerva soon joined me in seeing a purple-haired waitress emerge from the restaurant to take our orders. Since Minerva and I were eating together and chatting on our little date, did that mean I would definitely need to relax and ease the tension? Since we hardly had any tension yesterday on our leisurely trip, I probably did need to relax.
I started to give Minerva a relaxing smile while feeling that the tension could definitely be lessened, and I could tell that Minerva was trying to keep me calm by just getting to know me better. Since Minerva was investing her own time in getting to know me, I started to smile in an appreciative manner from how Minerva was wanting our dynamic to be much more cohesive. She was able to get info on what my current fears were, after disclosing hers to me earlier, and we had been trying to help each other get past our own problems. Regarding how Minerva approached my problem about Bloom Town, my eyes were soon filled with realization about how it had been sweet of her to try and help me further move past Annette.
20 minutes later... (Minerva's POV)
I had certainly been trying to help Lucy's heart and mind move further away from her conflict with Annette by simply handling a job in Bloom Town, but it seemed like we would have to settle for a lesser job today. Although, settling for a lesser job didn't mean that we would have to endure our food on this date being lesser than what a classy couple would purchase. My plate of raspberry purple cookies smelled so delicious, and I sighed happily at how the desserts had been very tasty. Lucy's lavender buttermilk cookies were also tasty, since I enjoyed eating some of them while their level of sweetness had been potent.
Eating some of Lucy's food was a nice thing to do on this date, since she also ate some of my cookies, and seeing her have a somewhat disgusted look on her face from tasting the purple raspberry cookies made me nicely giggle at how she would have to develop an acquired taste for some desserts. I had already acquired a taste for lavender buttermilk cookies, as I had ordered them from this cafe before Lucy arrived at Seductive Witch. Ordering those cookies allowed me to eventually get a job at this cafe, and giving myself the job of preparing those cookies allowed me to acquire the recipe.
Acquiring that recipe didn't stop me from altering the properties of the spices with my Territory Magic, though, and I personally felt that my cookies would be the best. Lucy would probably get to experience the fun of cooking with me in my personal kitchen, since I was a fantastic chef. Although, being an amazing chef also came with the price of being a classy woman who could eat large quantities of food. I ate the rest of the cookies on my plate, before letting the waitress take away that plate while I felt the urge to eat some of this cafe's chocolate brownies that were orchid purple.
Not only would those brownies smell delicious, but I could alter their properties for them to taste much better. Speaking of things that needed to taste much better, I raised an eyebrow at the sight of Lucy having an unsatisfied look on her face after tasting her electric purple soda. The dark purple straw gently floated around in a circle as it had been in her purple porcelain glass, and Lucy drank a small bit of it when the waitress had been around. She seemed to not want to finish the drink, almost like she intended on wasting it.
"If you're intending to waste that drink, why not hand it over to me?" I calmly asked Lucy with a somewhat somewhat stern look entering my eyes.
Lucy responded to me with a soft smile on her face, as she gently slid the glass towards me, "Minerva-sama, you probably wouldn't like how it tastes."
"Well, I'll just have to change how it tastes." I replied to Lucy with a confident smile appearing on my face, before looking at the glass.
Upon seeing Lucy's soda be right in front of me, I unleashed my Territory Magic to make amethyst purple energy waves be on my hands. I positioned the energy waves to be directly above the glass, and I dropped them for them to just be in the glass. They quickly touched the drink, resulting in it being amethyst purple, and the soda started to have a much sweeter aroma while the ice in the glass had been warped out of the glass for it to be on the table. As that ice melted, I gently sipped Lucy's drink while liking that the flavor tasted like sweet grape purple soda mixed with neon purple lavender cake.
The choice of making this soda taste like cake caused me to happily smile, since it tasted very delicious. The deliciousness of this soda needed to be tasted by Lucy, prompting me to put the drink back on her side of the table. When Lucy saw that the drink was near her hands, she took a large sip of it and drank it. The taste of the amethyst purple drink caused Lucy to quickly swallow it, before letting out a blissful sigh. She sighed in a happy manner after sipping the drink again, loving how it tasted so wonderful.
She loved the drink so much to where she slid it back to me again, causing me to sip the drink from the same straw that had touched her lips. Since Lucy and I drank this sweet soda from the same straw, did we share an indirect kiss? Lucy was probably asking herself that same question, evident by how her cheeks were blushing fuchsia pink while my cheeks also blushed fuchsia pink. We were both starting to have more fun on this little date, and the sight of the waitress suddenly coming out from the restaurant with a plate of orchid purple brownies caused me to lightly smile.
Upon seeing the waitress take those brownies over to a nearby table where a certain dark mage was sitting, I told Lucy with a slight frown on my face, "Well, I hope you enjoyed this part of our little date. It hasn't been much for a first date, but maybe our next date will be where we do something more fun."
Lucy asked me with a kind smile on her face, as an idea seemed to enter her eyes, "Minerva-sama, why don't we go sightseeing in Mauve Town? After all, shouldn't this town be more familiar to me by now?"
"That sounds like a good idea, Lucy. Maybe we can check out some of the flowers that you're not familiar with yet." I responded with a proud smile on my face, wanting to make this date be very fun.
Taking Lucy to see some other flowers in Mauve Town would be beneficial for her, as I thought more about making that be part of our date. On this date, we would get to see several of the purple flowers that were grown and nurtured in the town of Mauve. However, that also included poisonous flowers and I didn't need to ever deal with Lucy accidentally getting a bouquet of poisonous flowers to make us both feel sick. We didn't need to feel ill again, especially since there were other powerful wizards who either needed to be killed or needed to be humbled by us on jobs.
One mage who I hoped to not meet on a job was Phoebe Hauntra, who currently sat at a table that was somewhat far away from us. We hadn't made eye contact, due to the fact that the newest issue of that sexy magazine was being viewed by her, and I wondered if the photos that I had taken with Lucy were in that issue of the magazine. If they ended up being viewed by Phoebe, then I slightly smirked at the thought of me outshining her in one aspect of the fashion industry. By displaying my sense of superiority in those photos, I certainly proved that I deserved some respect.
Regarding respect, I did wonder if Lucy would get some respect in the fashion industry for posing in that sexy fashion campaign. That particular fashion campaign, along with Aoikina having Lucy alongside her in those provocative photos, certainly increased the chances of Lucy being able to become more notable throughout Fiore. She hadn't been thinking about all of that fame, only thinking of the rewards, and Lucy was always very humble. Being humble wouldn't help her win any fashion contests, but she was ironically making herself seem more beautiful in my eyes.
30 minutes later, in Mauve Town... (Lucy's POV)
Even if other people viewed me as being very beautiful, I perceived myself as being less beautiful than some of the flowers that were near the dark purple grass pertaining to some woods near Mauve Town. These flowers had actually been in a dark purple meadow, which had its breezes of wind being very calm as I stood in front of the meadow to see that it had surprisingly been organized with flowers in different hues of purple forming a circle around a large circle of grass that had six small flowers blooming.
Those six flowers all looked very beautiful while they were orchid purple, but trying to get near them would require me to walk through the field of wine purple tulips that had been right in front of me. When I tried to walk through the wine purple tulips, they shot out a wine purple aroma that heavily surrounded me. The aroma of purple lavender wine started to enter my mouth and nose, the scent being very strong to where I could only smell the scent of these flowers, and my eyes soon became wine purple like my vision.
The area in front of me started to become wine purple, before I slowly spun around and felt very dizzy. These flowers weren't aggressive like the plants in the Mossy Forest, but they caused me to feel quite dazed. I dizzily walked around as I heard Minerva softly chuckling, and leaving that field of flowers ended up making me snap out of my dizziness. My head started to feel some relief, instead of feeling the headache that had been associated with that dizziness, and I walked back towards a different part of this meadow.
I proceeded to run into the portion of the meadow that had light purple roses, only to see them start blooming while emitting light purple orbs. Those light purple orbs pertained to Darkness Magic, evident by how they made the sky become light purple by going up into the air, and the sight of the orbs bursting caused me to quickly step back as they made light purple beams fall down to the ground. The beams struck the ground, only to result in harmless light purple blasts that were large, and the light from the blasts had been intense to where I closed my eyes.
As the light quickly faded away, I asked aloud, "What are those flowers supposed to be?"
Minerva explained to me with a calm smile on her face while walking towards me, "Those flowers are Bright Purple Roses, Lucy. They aren't poisonous, but you'd better be careful with activating any new spells around them."
That caused me to create a new spell called Amethyst Purple Gravity, and I imagined an amethyst purple flame appearing in my right hand. I threw it at the space above these roses, only to see the spell quintuple in size as a wondrous wall of bright purple light was right in front of me. The wall of light had the flame be stuck to it, only for an amethyst purple sphere of gravity to start circling around the flame in a slow manner. The gravity reacted to the flame's intense heat, causing the sphere of gravity to get coated in flames.
This attack was meant to burn enemies, but it would attract explosive spells to it for them to power up this attack. Although, this situation proved that I didn't need to hit this attack with any other spells. I did choose to make it hit some light purple petals that were blown into the air by the winds, causing the attack to go up towards them when I raised my left hand. That resulted in a massive fiery explosion occurring in midair while having hand raised was what prompted the heat waves to go upward, but Minerva used her magic to warp the flames higher into the air.
As the fire ended up bursting and creating heat waves, I took notice of how all those flames had grown larger during these recent minutes. The flames became light purple for a few seconds, displaying that the intense amount of light in the sky affected them, and that made a small thought enter my mind. What if I were to start picking these flowers for myself and Minerva, since we didn't usually have items that could enhance our levels of power? Minerva could do that with her Territory Magic, but I confidently smiled as my hands moved towards the stems of the flowers.
Minerva calmly stated to me, as dense energy waves that felt like platinum appeared right in front of my hands, "We don't use flowers from this meadow, Lucy. They can get contaminated by being near other flowers, so you'll just have to find them on your own in Mauve Town."
That prompted me to ask Minerva with a curious facial expression, "Would drinking their nectar allow us to get those massive enhancements in power?"
"I honestly have no idea, but at least I was careful enough to keep you from clumsily burning down Mauve's little meadow." Minerva responded to me with a relaxed look on her face, before glancing at the field of flowers.
Minerva proceeded to teleport herself over to some flowers that looked like lavender roses, only to groan in a disgusted manner. Minerva's reaction of disliking those flowers caused me to run over to them, and I got to see that these roses were deeply in a shade of lavender. I placed my hands directly above the roses, thinking that they had a pungent odor, but the roses emitted deep lavender purple sparkles as they bloomed. As the sparkles touched my face, the dark magic pertinent to these flowers allowed me to see who had been here earlier.
I had to hear Phoebe Hauntra's rude laughter as she picked several flowers while holding a lilac purple flyer in her hand, and the scent of those flowers had gone all the way to the cafe where Minerva and I had been on a date. Was that one of the reasons why Minerva hastily left the cafe with me? Phoebe was not only someone who heavily demeaned Minerva, but Phoebe was also an extremely fashionable woman. Phoebe was probably posing with flowers in a fashion magazine at some point during the previous few days, so it wouldn't surprise me if she kept trying to be a prominent fashion model.
Prominence in fashion also made me wonder if Minerva and I would encounter Phoebe and her friends on that specific street where the high-end fashion store was located, since I wanted our team to avoid fighting with anyone on this day where we were back in Mauve Town. Being back in Mauve Town did mean that we would need to stop by the Seductive Witch guild, however, and I softly smiled at the thought of new jobs being added to the request board. If there were any new jobs that would be very fun, then Minerva and I would gladly take them. Of course, we would be able to get those jobs after leaving this meadow.
10 minutes later, in the Seductive Witch guild... (Phoebe's POV)
Even though some people had to come from somewhat distant parts of Mauve Town to reach the Seductive Witch guild, I had been smart enough to have lunch at one of the cafes that had been close to the Seductive Witch guild. Going into Seductive Witch was the moment where I got to see many of the other woman staring at me in an awestruck manner, and they were staring at my grape purple evening dress while my hair had been tied back in an upwards ponytail. This hairstyle and my attire had been part of a fashion competition for some of the most beautiful dark mages in Fiore, and I wore lavender purple yoga pants underneath my dress while my shoes were orchid purple.
Their orchid shade of purple was just like my trophy, which stood on the back counter of the guild's bar while it displayed a woman being elegant at the pinnacle of the round trophy. I posed in an elegant manner while being in front of the bar and my trophy, smiling proudly as my teammates proceeded to loudly cheer for me. They had been my stylists for that fashion show, along with being in the audience as I performed on the stage. My performances were loved by all of the judges, and winning the trophy also allowed photos of me to be taken.
Those photos unfortunately wouldn't end up in Sorcerer Magazine, but winning seven consecutive fashion shows as an S-Class mage was surely a way for me to get several pages of attention of Sorcerer Magazine. Even if dark mages competed against wizards who were in legal guilds, winning against them had been perceived as an impressive feat. Since I had been so amazing to be the winner of six fashion shows where I scored higher than wizards who were in guilds such as Lamia Scale and Mermaid Heel, I decided to earn my seventh victory by going up against weaker opponents for some amusement.
It had been amusing to see that the rookies in fashion shows were so inexperienced, and any girl who had outperformed me to become a first-time winner would just get minor amounts of attention in Sorcerer Magazine. Speaking of people who received scarce attention in Sorcerer Magazine, my eyes became filled with arrogance and superiority from seeing that loser Minerva walk through the door with her little servant named Lucy by her side. They were holding hands while having soft smiles on their faces, and I had actually seen them appear in the campaign of a sexy magazine. Although, their fashion campaign wasn't that great.
"Well, the two losers who posed in Annette Rosia's worst collection of clothes are finally here to look at the newest truly fashionable woman who will appear in Sorcerer Magazine." I told everyone with a rude smirk on my face, as my eyes were directed at Minerva and Lucy.
That prompted Minerva to reply with a stern facial expression, after groaning in frustration, "Hello, Phoebe."
Lucy asked me with a curious facial expression, her eyes displaying a bored look as her tone sounded rather mundane, "If we're the losers, how come we appeared in a magazine fashion campaign before you ever did? By your own logic, aren't you actually supposed to be the loser?"
Lucy's disrespectful questions and bored attitude prompted me to have an irked look on my face, and I gritted my teeth in a frustrated manner. That newbie should've been congratulating me, but she was trying to act as if her own appearance in a fashion campaign would somehow make her be superior to me! She would never have superiority to me, especially since I heard rumors that she only received second-place in Cyan Town's fashion show! Therefore, it seemed very disgusting for that second-rate trash to not view me as a prominent fashion model!
She was acting as if she had already seen someone debut in Sorcerer Magazine, and that may have been true. However, it had also been true that I only read about Annette Rosia in the newest issue because of the fact that she was one of the best fashion models in Fiore. If Minerva and her pathetic servant didn't emulate the best of the best, then they were only striving to be trashy fashion models. Speaking of trash, I did also read the newspaper to find out that Minerva and the newbie took down an outlaw.
Was that outlaw really weak? I certainly believed that to be the case, evident by how Minerva managed to defeat them. Minerva certainly couldn't defeat me, since she ran off to the shower and cried on that day where she lost against me. Minerva would continue to be a loser, since I doubted that her presence in those sexy photos would amount to anything. Lucy certainly wouldn't amount to anything, either, and she proceeded to stroll towards the request board without even fawning over my trophy to give me some respect!
She soon had a respectful look in her eyes from seeing a pale green flyer, before happily telling Minerva, "Minerva-sama, we managed to obtain a special job! This client wants our assistance!"
That prompted me to ask aloud with a miffed look on my face, as I hurriedly walked over to her, "What?! Who would be wanting assistance from you two fashion rejects?!"
After walking over to Lucy and glancing at the flyer, Minerva told me with a smug smile on her face, "Well, it looks like the Skyward Fauna guild needs our help while they're offering a hefty reward of 600,000 jewels."
Upon hearing that Lucy and Minerva would receive such a high amount of money, I gently pushed Minerva aside and glanced at that flyer. The client who wrote the request on that flyer wanted Lucy and Minerva to participate in the treasure hunt that would occur right before Skyward Fauna held a fashion show that was open to the public, and Lucy and Minerva were permitted to join because of how a team that stole jobs to illegally take treasures for themselves had recently been kicked out. That team certainly didn't sound like a group of S-Class mages, so losers were getting replaced by other losers.
Still, this treasure hunt seemed rather interesting and the request board currently had no S-Class jobs on it. If no S-Class jobs were added to the board after Sorcerer Magazine arrived to take several amazing photos of me, then my team and I would just have to join in on this job out of boredom. I looked over at my teammates, before they saw me evilly smirking at the sight of the flyer, and this job seemed like it would be a hollow victory for Lucy and Minerva. They could get their reward for helping the client, but my team would seize the trove of treasure.
Obtaining that large amount of treasure would be very interested, but I was more interested in halting Minerva's momentum. She and Lucy had been succeeding on several jobs, and they were officially perceived as models in the fashion industry. If they posed for photos with the treasure and looked fashionable, then Minerva would probably believe that she could surpass my beauty. My gorgeousness could never be surpassed, especially not by a loser such as Minerva. Minerva and Lucy started to confidently smile at each other, giggling happily as they probably perceived themselves as winners, but that treasure chest of gold would belong to me.
How was Chapter 11? Feel free to tell me your thoughts on it. Lucy and Minerva are now girlfriends, and they went on a small date as they tried to get to know some things about each other. The rest of this post arc will feature Lucy getting to know more about Minerva, and Minerva will get to learn more about Lucy. Also, Phoebe is not going to be part of a love triangle with Minerva and Lucy. Phoebe's POV is meant to illustrate that Lucy and Minerva will need to learn to stay confident and also keep themselves calm in their relationship for it to thrive, whether they are tested physically, mentally, or emotionally. In fact, the hunt for treasure and the fashion of the Skyward Fauna guild may emotionally test Minerva's passion for fashion and how that strongly intertwines to her relationship with Lucy. By the way, this is the first part of the post-Cerulean Cosmos Arc! I'll update soon. :)
