Jazz sighed, facing a barrage of questions from students and teachers alike about her decision to date a girl. And not just any girl—Zdrada Daemon. She found herself in the midst of an explanation to Mr. Lancer, whose shock over her choice was palpable.
"Ms. Fenton, I realize this question has been repeated often, and I apologize for revisiting it, but I must inquire, WHAT IN THE WORLD IS HAPPENING?!" He exclaimed, raising his voice.
"This is uncharacteristic of you. The school, and indeed the entire town, knew you hadn't shown interest in any girls before, not since your last boyfriend," He added.
Jazz groans, despising that reminder. Although she resents Kitty for nearly trapping her in the ghost zone, deceiving her brother, and almost making every man in Amity Park vanish, Jazz also pities her for having such a despicable boyfriend.
Yet, this was not the moment for reflection. She needed to explain herself once more.
"Mr. Lancer, I acknowledge the confusion everyone is experiencing, and I, myself, am still trying to fully grasp the concept. However, to be frank, Zdrada isn't as terrible as she appears. Indeed, she might seem like a troublemaker based on her behavior, but in her, I see a young woman who deeply cares for her sister, despite her unconventional way of showing it. My point is, regardless of our sexual orientations, I find myself drawn to her for reasons of my own. She even offered me advice that I've been adhering to for a while now: 'Go with the flow,'" Jazz explained.
"Go with the flow?" Mr. Lancer asked.
"Yeah, and I'm doing this to comprehend the same-gender couples that are seldom seen in town. One must grasp all forms of relationships, or they'll never truly understand the person they wish to help," Jazz stated.
Mr. Lancer gazed at her, his surprise still evident. Jazz sighed; she couldn't comprehend why she had asked Zdrada out, nor why she had fallen for her after a single, brief kiss...
'Come on, Jazz. It wasn't one small kiss. We kissed for like, what, an hour? And I almost took off her pants...gah! Don't think about that!' She thought.
"Just, please. Let me do this." Jazz told him.
"Alright, but you'll need to explain yourself to your parents. I'm quite sure they'll have the same questions," Mr. Lancer said with a sigh.
Jazz groans, hoping to make them understand her reasons as well.
Lunchtime,
Danny, Tucker, Sam, and Malina were seated at the table, with Tucker glancing between Danny and Malina.
"Do you find it odd that your sisters are in a relationship with each other?" he inquired.
"A little," Danny replied.
"I'm more irritated than anything, but I'm not about to interfere with Zdrada," Malina stated.
Sam appeared visibly upset. Although she was taken aback by the news of Jazz and Zdrada dating, learning about Danny and Malina's budding relationship also angered her. Tucker was the sole confidant, as Danny and Malina were preoccupied with the thoughts of their sisters.
Although he was unaware, Malina could still sense Sam's true feelings. She was well aware that Sam was seeking a way to sabotage their date. Her upbringing as a demon in hell had taught her many things, including how to recognize jealousy in others, even when it's hidden.
'If she really thinks she can hide her true feelings from someone like me, she better be aware that I might live up to my nickname.' She thought.
"Do you have any idea what your parents might think?" Sam inquired.
"I believe they'll be more surprised about Jazz and Zdrada than about me and Malina," Danny replied with a sigh.
"Agreed," Malina concurred with a nod.
Fenton Works,
The two couples returned to Fenton Works, where Jazz braced herself to confront her parents. Uncertain of their receptiveness, she understood the importance of making the attempt.
"Are you okay, Jazz?" Danny inquired.
"I'm not sure. I don't know how Mom and Dad will react to this," she replied, gesturing towards herself and Zdrada.
"I can't really comment on that; we hardly remember our parents. Just go with the flow, nerd," Zdrada remarked.
"That's been my approach since I met you, Zdrada," Jazz noted.
"And just so you know, Zdrada, we are not going on any double dates," Malina interjected, giving her sister a stern look.
"That's alright," Zdrada responded with a smirk.
With a sigh, Jazz opened the door, bracing herself for the inevitable conversation.
"JASMINE FENTON!"
"Good luck, Jazz," said Danny as she made her way to the kitchen.
Entering the kitchen, Jazz found her parents with expressions of shock and mild upset over the news they had received.
"Jazz, sweetie, could you explain why we received a call from the school saying that you're going to date a girl?" Maddie inquired, striving for composure.
"Mom..." began Jazz.
"I have no issue with you dating again, as long as it's not a ghost. But please, not that troublemaker again," Jack stated, arms crossed.
"Dad..." Jazz groaned.
"Would you care to explain, sweetie?" prodded Maddie.
With a sigh, Jazz took a seat.
"Okay, a few days ago, I saw two girls who were very close, and they even started kissing. I found out they were in a relationship, which made me realize there's more to people than meets the eye. So, I started researching same-gender couples to aid my studies. It wasn't until Zdrada came along and began giving me crash courses on their behavior," Jazz explained, leaving her parents perplexed.
"She mentioned she wasn't a lesbian, but she was acquainted with some, and over time, I began to recognize my feelings for her. Danny pointed out that I was developing feelings for Zdrada, and I chose to pursue them. I'm still coming to terms with it, but Zdrada offered me advice that I've been heeding for some time: 'Go with the flow,'" she concluded.
"So, I'm not going to call it off. While we both are not lesbians, I want to do this." Jazz finished, looking at her parents.
Jack and Maddie looked at each other, surprised.
"Jasmine..." Maddie started.
"Mom, I'm serious. I won't call it off. I know this is difficult to accept, but I'm maturing." Jazz told her.
Jack and Maddie exhaled deeply. Despite their reservations, they knew they had to allow Jazz to handle the situation.
"Alright, we'll permit it," Maddie stated.
"Just ensure it's something we would approve of," Jack cautioned.
Jazz nodded. She sensed strongly that Zdrada would plan something special for their first date, and she couldn't dismiss the uneasy feeling that accompanied the thought.
With Danny and Malina,
Danny was seated on his bed while Malina appeared anxious. She was eager to pick up where they had left off the day before, yet she hesitated to proceed.
"Malina? Are you alright? Still worried about our sisters?" Danny inquired.
"Not exactly," she replied, gazing downward.
"What's this about then? Is it regarding the kiss we shared yesterday?" inquired Danny.
Malina nodded, and Danny understood. Truth be told, he was still trying to wrap his mind around it as well. Yet, he was not at all bothered by the kiss. He lays his hand over Malina's, prompting her to look up again.
"Hey, I don't hate you or it. Honestly, I've never kissed anyone before. And it wasn't bad," He told her.
"Really?" asked Malina, receiving a nod in response.
"It was also my first kiss, and I liked it," She said, blushing.
"So, do you want to do it again?" Danny inquired.
Malina nodded and began to lean in towards him. Danny mirrored her actions, and they shared another kiss. The minute their lips touched, Malina pushed Danny down, not letting up. She even started to moan as she kissed deeper. Danny wrapped his arms around her, enjoying the feeling.
After what seemed like an eternity, they ended their kiss, with Malina appearing more blissful than sour. Danny embraced her tightly, enveloped in the aftermath of her kiss.
"Wow," Danny exclaimed, his voice tinged with infatuation.
Malina's smile broadened slightly at his reaction, charmed by the gesture.
'Perhaps this journey wasn't a bad idea after all,' She mused.
Caught between her sister dating his sister, and their own romantic entanglement, Malina was on the verge of relinquishing her place in Hell. But that would also mean those bitches could get her spot if she does so. She found herself somewhat trapped. Moreover, Danny was completely unaware that both she and Zdrada were, in fact, demons.
She exhales deeply, aware that the moment to reveal the truth will come. She harbors the hope that he will understand once he discovers the reality.
And so begins another chapter. You may notice two changes: firstly, I've updated the cover to feature both Malina and Zdrada. Sadly, I haven't decided on a new title yet. Secondly, you might observe how much clearer this chapter appears compared to my previous ones. I've recently discovered a feature on my laptop; when I highlight a section of the text, a small tab appears saying "Rewrite with Copilot." Upon clicking it, I'm presented with a more eloquent way to express my thoughts. However, there were instances when it couldn't continue the conversation, and I had to leave the text as is. Therefore, I plan to use this feature as much as possible.
These are the latest reactions to the possibility of Jazz and Zdrada dating in the future. Even Jazz's parents are taken aback by this turn of events. Jazz has expressed that she's still processing everything, but she's not ready to give up after heeding Zdrada's advice for so long. Additionally, there's a little more romantic development between Danny and Malina. Unfortunately, I'm uncertain about the direction of the next chapter. Any suggestions, everyone?
