Oh this one gonna be a banger. Like this one gonna bang. This scenario bangs so hard that StayOuttaMyShed literally made an entire full fledged fanfic about how much this scenario could bang. AND IT BANGED!
To answer a review I saw from last chapter, Heather had the extra endurance to beat Geoff in Basic Straining because Owen wasn't there to fart on her and aggravate her to drop like the original. Heather hadn't showed any signs of struggling in the challenge, she opted to leave because of Owen's farts. No Owen leads me to believe that she'd outlast Geoff and give the Gophers the win.
I'm gonna stop yappin'
Reality ZK-CIT: What if Ezekiel kept his mouth shut in Episode 2?
There the Killer Bass were, dejected and glum. They had just lost their very first challenge and now had to deal with sending home someone from the team that Chris Mclean had just assembled for them a few hours prior. None were happy, especially considering their rivals, the Screaming Gophers, got to live up the rest of the day in their newly constructed hot tub, safe from the threat of elimination. Most members were silently picking at their food, too upset to bother engaging with their teammates when they'd be down one person in a few hours. Katie and Sadie were gabbing nervously, afraid one of them would be eliminated, though their fears were unwarranted.
"So, uh..." Katie started, looking around the table. "What do we do now?"
"We have to figure out who we're gonna vote off." Courtney answered.
"Well, I think it should be princess." Duncan jabbed his thumb towards Courtney. "Or the brickhouse here." He jabbed his other thumb towards DJ.
"What?!" Courtney gasped. "Why?"
"Because, unless I'm mistaken, you two are the only ones here wearing chicken hats." Duncan pointed out, causing Courtney to look at her hat. "And if we ever have to lift a truck, I like our odds with the big guy." Duncan smiled at DJ, who happily returned a smile of his own.
"You guys need me!" Courtney yelped. "I'm the only one-"
"We know." Bridgette cut her off, rolling her eyes. "Who used to be a real CIT. So who would you pick?"
Courtney's eyes darted across the table looking for a target, whom she quickly found. "What about him?"
Courtney pointed towards Tyler, inadvertently causing Lindsay to shriek "No!", resulting in a silent Mess Hall.
"I mean- no salt! There's no salt on the table, bummer." Lindsay smiled, hoping her lie worked. Cody and Heather, on either side of her, looked less than impressed.
"Hey at least he jumped off the cliff chicken wing." Duncan said.
"Shut up!" Courtney yelled.
Geoff popped up between the two. "Okay, let's just chill out, this is getting way too heavy."
"I've had enough prison food for one day." Duncan stood up, shoving his bowl of gruel away. "I'm gonna go have a nap."
"You can't do that!" Courtney scolded. "We haven't decided who's going yet!"
There sat Ezekiel, looking like he wanted to say something. He opened his mouth, ready to voice his opinions.
"I don't understand why we lost, eh." Ezekiel commented. That's all he commented. Nothing more. No backwoods sexist views or anything like that. Nope. None of it. Nada. Zilch. Zero sexism in these parts.
"What's there not to understand?" Eva asked. "Because of a couple chickens, we couldn't win." Eva specifically glared at Courtney as she said this.
"I just don't get it is all." Ezekiel said. "I thought our team had a lot of good players, eh? That Duncan guy is pretty scary."
"Uh, thanks Zeke." Bridgette smiled, unsure of what to say to the homeschooler.
"I think I'm gonna go for a walk." DJ similarly pushed his food away and got up to leave. "I'll see y'all back at the elimination ceremony."
"Yea, this is way too loaded to keep talking about." Geoff turned his attention towards Bridgette. "Yo Bridge! Wanna go for a swim?"
Bridgette looked Geoff up and down quickly. "Yea, sure." She smiled his way.
"Hey, don't go!" Courtney commanded. "We haven't come to consensus of who to send home yet!"
"I think we have." Harold snickered, leaving last with the rest of the Killer Bass.
"No no no!" Courtney screamed, watching as the doors fluttered closed behind her. "Crap."
Day had turned to night and the Killer Bass had made their way down to the elimination ceremony. Courtney was the only one who looked to be in any real suspense. DJ looked less than calm but even he knew it would take a miracle for him to be the one going home. Frankly, this ceremony was a formality for Courtney.
Duncan leaned over towards Courtney. "Y'know Courtney, it sucks you're going home. I think you and I could've gotten along all right."
"Screw you, pig." Courtney spat, recoiling from Duncan. "As if I'd ever go out with a sketchy wannabe punk who thinks he's too cool for everything."
Duncan shrugged. "Suit yourself."
"Killer Bass." Chris greeted, holding a plate of marshmallows. "At camp, marshmallows represent a tasty treat that you enjoy roasting by the fire. At this camp, marshmallows represent life. You've all cast your votes and made your decision. There are only ten marshmallows on this plate. When I call your name, come up and claim your marshmallow. The camper who does not receive a marshmallow tonight must immediately return to the Dock of Shame to catch the Boat of Losers." A shoddy boat at the end of the dock shown in the beginning of the previous episode was displayed.
"That means you're out of the contest. And you can't come back. Ever." Chris held up a marshmallow in his hand. "The first marshmallow goes to... Geoff."
Geoff walked up, stabbing the marshmallow with a stick.
"Tyler."
Tyler held his hands up in celebration. "Woohoo yea! Place at the table!"
"Katie."
"Bridgette."
"Ezekiel."
"Harold."
"Yes!" Harold wheezed.
"Sadie."
"Oh yay!" Sadie cheered. She came up to get her marshmallow and hugged Katie. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
"Duncan."
"Campers, this is the final marshmallow of the evening." Chris held the marshmallow out in between Courtney and DJ.
Both campers shook with anticipation, willing the marshmallow to be theirs. Chris intentionally drew out the ceremony, waving his finger between both campers before finally revealing who was the recipient of the final marshmallow.
"DJ." DJ sighed, letting Chris stab the marshmallow onto his stick.
"Can't say I'm surprised." Chris shrugged his shoulders. "I heard you bossing everyone around all day today. Not cool."
"This is an outrage!" Courtney screamed. "I can't believe you would all vote me off like that! I was the only one with real CIT experience!"
"Dock of Shame's thataway bro." Chris said, ignoring Courtney entirely.
Courtney stomped down to the Boat of Losers, her bags sharply connecting with the edges of the Dock of Shame. "Laugh all they want." Courtney threw her bags onto the boat. "We'll see how they like it." Courtney sat herself down on the Boat of Losers as she was shipped off into the night.
"The rest of you, enjoy your marshmallows." Chris told the remaining Bass. "You're safe. For now..."
The remaining Killer Bass walked off, past the celebrating Screaming Gophers, who were all enjoying their win in the comfort of their hot tub.
Courtney: 10 (Bridgette, DJ, Duncan, Eva, Ezekiel, Geoff, Harold, Katie, Sadie, Tyler)
DJ: 1 (Courtney)
Killer Bass: Bridgette, DJ, Duncan, Eva, Ezekiel, Geoff, Harold, Katie, Sadie, Tyler
Screaming Gophers: Beth, Cody, Gwen, Heather, Izzy, Justin, Leshawna, Lindsay, Noah, Owen, Trent
Eliminated: Courtney
Total Drama's next challenge would go down in infamy as one of the hardest challenges the teens ever had to endure.
Their first take was to complete a full lap around the island. The Killer Bass lost this thanks to Harold, though they were relieved to find that wasn't the actual challenge. They were then provided with a massive banquet, which everyone soon devoured. Chris then went to introduce the challenge, shocking Owen who believed eating was the challenge.
The teens were brought to the elimination ceremony and told their challenge: Stay up as long as possible, last team standing wins.
This challenge was grueling, and also provided its fair share of memorable moments, most notably Gwen and Trent taking to getting to know one another.
Along with this, Heather recruited Beth and Lindsay to form the island's very first alliance. She started things off with a bang, swiping Eva's MP3 player when the athlete wasn't paying attention.
Days went by and funny stuff happened, such as Owen's sleepwalking adventure, Justin painting his eyelids to cheat, Noah kissing Cody on the ear, DJ causing an entire tree to fall down by just falling asleep tied to it, Katie and Sadie snoring in sync, and Duncan causing Harold to pee his pants. Soon enough though, it was Duncan, Eva, and Ezekiel versus Heather, Gwen, and Trent to win it for their respective team.
After adding in a reading of "The History of Canada: Pop-up Edition", Chris was successfully able to knock Eva, Heather, and Trent out, leaving Duncan and Ezekiel to square off against Gwen.
Well, it would've been a two versus one had Duncan not fallen asleep on the toilet. Edge, nobody.
Chris asked Ezekiel how he was even still standing, to which the homeschooler replied that living on a farm gave him a lot of endurance. Gwen stared him down and told him that he wouldn't get off that easily, stating that her endurance was just as high.
The goth lied. She was gone in under ten minutes, collapsing to the ground in a heap. Ezekiel smiled before knocking out himself, utterly wiped.
Unsurprisingly, the bottom two for the Gophers was Justin and Owen, Owen for getting out first and Justin for cheating in a lazy way. Some voted for him because of the potential threat he posed, others because they thought his idea was extremely lazy. No matter how you see it, Justin managed to get enough votes thrown his way and was kicked off.
Justin: 5 (Beth, Heather, Izzy, Lindsay, Trent)
Owen: 3 (Gwen, Justin, Leshawna)
Cody: 2 (Noah, Owen)
Noah: 1 (Cody)
Killer Bass: Bridgette, DJ, Duncan, Eva, Ezekiel, Geoff, Harold, Katie, Sadie, Tyler
Screaming Gophers: Beth, Cody, Gwen, Heather, Izzy, Leshawna, Lindsay, Noah, Owen, Trent
Eliminated: Courtney, Justin
The Bass, despite winning the previous challenge, had a rough morning. Eva was absolutely livid at the loss of her MP3 player, demanding anyone who had it to turn it back over. No one stepped up given that it was in Heather's possession, leaving Eva to vaguely threaten everyone over her lost device.
Dodgeball was the name of the game this morning, something that Tyler was pumped about and Noah couldn't care less about. Gwen, Duncan, and Ezekiel were all hindered by their exhaustion, collapsing onto their teams benches and falling asleep immediately. Noah had elected to sit out, saying that sports weren't his forte and that he'd just be a hindrance. Eva also opted to sit out, saying that her traitor teammates can either cough up her MP3 player or forget about her competing.
With no Duncan or Eva, the Bass were majorly outmatched in their first two rounds, with Owen taking over for the first round and Cody for the second. Tyler had performed especially pitiful, eventually deciding to leave the challenge with Lindsay to no one's objection.
The Bass called a team huddle where Harold suggested they wake up Duncan. When asked why he wanted them all to die, Harold said that he thought that was their only chance at victory. Bridgette and Geoff soon folded, along with DJ. Harold gently prodded Duncan awake, getting strangled in the process. Bridgette informed them of their teams predicament, and Sadie added in their willingness to send him home for not participating.
Duncan sighed, getting up and revealing his strategy called "Rush the New Guy". The strategy worked flawlessly the first time, netting the Bass an easy win. The next round was a little bit more dicey. The round boiled down to a one on one between Owen and Harold, the large boy hoarding all the balls on his side of the court. Miraculously, Harold used his ballerina skills to avoid most of Owen's balls and was able to catch onto his last one, netting the Bass another won round and a tied challenge going into the last round.
The Gophers were getting frustrated, especially at Noah's lack of participation and support to the team. Heather ordered Noah to go in, but the bookworm simply resisted her, saying he'd lose them the challenge. Instead, Cody, Leshawna, Owen, and Trent went in with Heather. Meanwhile, the Bass were filled with nerves and excitement about coming back, though they felt a pit in their stomach after the last round being so close. They sent in Bridgette, DJ, Duncan, Geoff, and Harold.
The round devolved down into Leshawna, Heather, and Trent facing down Duncan and Harold. Trent sent a pop up / fastball combo at Harold, getting the dweeb with the fastball, though Duncan was able to catch the pop up and call time. He went back to the bench and told Eva that she needed to get in the game. Eva stuck out her hand and told the punk to give her her MP3 player first. Duncan said he didn't have it and this wasn't the time to act bratty. Harold added that she hadn't done anything all challenge either. Eva pointed out that Ezekiel and Tyler had also done nothing, but Katie countered by telling her that she'd been super scary to them, and the boys hadn't been. Eva mulled this over, eventually stomping onto the court with Duncan.
Before Chef resumed the game, Eva yanked on Duncan's collar, demanding to know where her MP3 player was. Duncan reiterated that he didn't have it, turning his pockets out to show her. Eva glared daggers into his eyes before dropping him, accepting the fear in his eyes to indicate that he was telling the truth. Chef blew the whistle to resume the game and Eva quickly disposed of both Heather and Leshawna with lightning fast dodgeballs. The Bass cheered as Eva stomped off, still upset at her lack of music. Noah chastised the weak effort from his team, earning glares from Owen and Trent in the process.
Noah's elimination surprised no one but the bookworm himself, who was pelted with marshmallows on his way out. He called everyone lamebrains and stalked off towards the Boat of Losers. As everyone left the elimination ceremony, Heather pulled on Lindsay's arm and told her that if she ever skipped out on another challenge to be with Tyler, Heather would cut off all her hair in her sleep. Lindsay freaked out, running all the way back to the cabin as Heather just smirked at her gullible ally.
Noah: 9 (Beth, Cody, Gwen, Heather, Izzy, Leshawna, Lindsay, Owen, Trent)
Lindsay: 1 (Noah)
Killer Bass: Bridgette, DJ, Duncan, Eva, Ezekiel, Geoff, Harold, Katie, Sadie, Tyler
Screaming Gophers: Beth, Cody, Gwen, Heather, Izzy, Leshawna, Lindsay, Owen, Trent
Eliminated: Courtney, Justin, Noah
A talent show of extravagant proportions was up next for the teens. Eva had calmed down slightly, but she still was viewed as hostile by everyone who wasn't Duncan. In the romance department, Gwen and Trent had both been making moves on one another, though there wasn't anything out in the open yet.
Heather elected herself as "Head of Talent Relations and Selection" for the Gophers, after being voted in by Beth and Lindsay. She held tryouts that Gwen opted to avoid, leaving towards the forest to be alone. She was followed by Cody, because Cody is shameless.
On the Bass side of things, Geoff opted to lead to no objections. He slotted himself into the line up along with DJ performing ribbon dancing and Bridgette doing her hand stand. Ezekiel pointed out that it was a little unfair that he didn't get to do his archery, but Geoff dismissed him by saying Bridgette's talent was just cooler. Katie and Sadie also looked at this with skepticism.
While Heather was judging talents, she sent Lindsay off to spy on Gwen. She found nothing interesting aside from a diary, quickly relaying this information to Heather before being distracted by Tyler. Meanwhile, Cody attempted to flirt with Gwen. Attempted being the key word. He failed miserably, to the point where Gwen stormed back to the cabin, though the geek was still on her tail.
Heather commented on the two being the first hookup of the season, getting a sarcastic comment from Gwen in the process as the goth went off towards the lake, Trent coming with her. While they were gone, Heather swooped into the Gopher cabin and stole Gwen's diary, giving a confessional about how she needs to get rid of "Weird Goth Girl" and that she can't stand losers like her.
The talent show commenced that night with the Gophers up first, leading it off with Trent performing a song. Chef described the song as gushy, but catchy, giving him and the Gophers a 7 to lead off. DJ was up next, performing his ribbon gymnastics for the crowd. His performance wasn't great since he stumbled over his feet and look less than graceful, but Chef still rewarded him with a 5. Beth was to follow up DJ's performance, and her start wowed Chef and the audience. She finished weakly, dropping her flaming baton onto the stage and lighting it ablaze until an intern ran on stage and extinguished the flame. Chef gave Beth a 4 for almost burning down the stage, but starting off strong.
Bridgette was backstage getting ready for her performance, anxiously munching on a packet of chips. She saw Beth come back through the curtain and took a deep breath. Bridgette handwalked out onto the stage and, anxiety and chips in her system, started puking everywhere. She upchucked onto Duncan, Ezekiel, Katie, Sadie, Tyler, Cody, Leshawna, and Owen, before finally collapsing over into her own puke. An intern came and swept her away, Chef awarding her a 2 for her grossness.
Heather was to conclude with her ballet performance for the crowd, but she instead came out with Gwen's diary. She read on and on to the crowd, satisfied with her work when Gwen finally ran off. Chef didn't appreciate Heather's tactics, giving her a 1.
Geoff was practicing his skateboarding backstage when he accidentally split his board. Bridgette went into a mad frenzy, looking for anyone who could go on stage. She eventually landed on Harold, encouraging him to go for it and that he has nothing to lose. Harold stepped on stage and beatboxed the most incredible beatbox you've ever heard in your entire life. It was the stuff of legends. This beatbox in of itself got Harold listed on the Top 10 Canadian Artists Ever list, coming in 4th. That's how damn good this beatbox was. Harold got a 10 and was the Bass' savior, giving them their third straight win.
The Gophers were sent back to elimination for a third time in a row, something that frustrated everyone to no end. The bottom two were Heather and Gwen, though Heather was notably not phased. A confessional showed her saying she only needed four votes in addition to herself, and that Beth and Lindsay were easy, Izzy's crazy, and Owen was a piece of cake. Another confessional showed Owen eating a piece of cake. Because of these revelations, it was no surprise that Gwen was booted. She cursed out Heather as she went, with Leshawna saying that she'd get revenge for her.
Gwen: 5 (Beth, Heather, Izzy, Lindsay, Owen)
Heather: 3 (Gwen, Leshawna, Trent)
Trent: 1 (Cody)
Killer Bass: Bridgette, DJ, Duncan, Eva, Ezekiel, Geoff, Harold, Katie, Sadie, Tyler
Screaming Gophers: Beth, Cody, Heather, Izzy, Leshawna, Lindsay, Owen, Trent
Eliminated: Courtney, Justin, Noah, Gwen
Morale on the Gophers was pitifully low after three straight eliminations. Add on that Leshawna and Heather were openly fighting with one another, things were really not looking good. Meanwhile, the Bass were riding high after three wins, convinced that Courtney was the sole cause of all their issues.
The challenge today was simple: hike into the forest, camp there, come back. The Bass set off quickly, not noticing that Katie and Sadie weren't paying attention and were slowly but surely getting themselves lost. The Gophers took longer to reach camp because of Leshawna and Heather's squabbling, but they made it there all the same.
Katie and Sadie had gotten pitifully lost, walking in circles and fighting with one another because of their predicament.
The Bass camp was set up quickly and gracefully, allowing Duncan ample time to freak everybody out with a horror story. He freaked out his entire camp minus Eva and Geoff, who were both unfazed. Bridgette and DJ were both super on edge, enough to cause panic to seep into Ezekiel and Tyler.
The Gophers were struggling to get camp set up, being carried by Owen gathering food and Trent setting up their tent. Beth and Cody had gone scavenging for berries and came back to see Heather and Leshawna had moved on to giving one another the silent treatment, Izzy was missing, and Lindsay was trying to keep spirits high. As Owen wrapped up telling a story about him killing a bear, a bear swooped down on the Gophers' camp, scaring everyone into a tree. Leshawna's branch broke and she was confronted face to face with the bear, who turned out to be Izzy in a costume. Everyone was rather pissed at her, aside from Owen, who thought the prank was hilarious.
Katie and Sadie had resorted to devouring blueberries in silence, extremely frosty at one another. The two couldn't catch much rest, soon being chased into a nearby cave where Sadie proclaimed they would die. Safe to say, it was looking bleak.
Back at the Gophers camp, they were settling into a nice fish dinner when another bear came into their camp. Assuming it was a prank, Izzy and Owen started prodding the bear, only to be roared at by the real mammal. The Gophers were chased back into their tree as the bear consumed all their hard fought food.
The Bass were getting a good night's sleep in when Bridgette sprang up, her bladder full. She stumbled out into the dark woods looking for a place to alleviate herself when she was ambushed by a bat. The bat clung to her eyes, causing the surfer to blindly backpedal into the embers of their fire and light the tent ablaze. Eva sarcastically thanked Bridgette for igniting their tent. Geoff told Eva to cool off, that it wasn't so bad and now they could sleep under the stars. As he said this, it started downpouring on the teens.
A mash cut showed the Bass huddled up under DJ holding a branch, the Gophers getting rained on in their tree, and Katie and Sadie huddling in their cave as the rain poured on down.
Morning came and the two teams set back towards camp. The Bass were back just a hair before the Gophers, causing Heather to yell and shove Owen, blaming him for the loss. When Chris pointed out the Bass were missing a couple fish, Katie and Sadie sprinted through the clearing. Since the twins weren't there before the Gophers showed up, that meant the Gophers were winners and the Bass had lost. Katie and Sadie explained their predicament and then apologized to one another, hugging and reuniting as friends. Eva barked at them that they'd lost the challenge because of them, and that they were dead.
The BFFLs were separated for the first time ever that night as Katie was pronounced out. The two had an emotional moment as Katie was carted off the island, the twiggy twin urging her fluffy friend to persevere and win the game for them both.
Katie: 5 (Bridgette, Duncan, Ezekiel, Harold, Tyler)
Sadie: 3 (DJ, Eva, Geoff)
Duncan: 2 (Katie, Sadie)
Killer Bass: Bridgette, DJ, Duncan, Eva, Ezekiel, Geoff, Harold, Sadie, Tyler
Screaming Gophers: Beth, Cody, Heather, Izzy, Leshawna, Lindsay, Owen, Trent
Eliminated: Courtney, Justin, Noah, Gwen, Katie
The Gophers were extremely relieved to have broken their three loss slide, feeling more confident than ever. Leshawna had taken to petitioning against Heather to her team, getting Cody and Trent on her side easily. Izzy and Owen didn't commit to anything, frustrating the ghetto girl.
The Bass were really turning against Bridgette despite Geoff's protests. Her failures were very present in their minds, with Ezekiel and Harold being the loudest opposers of her. Eva and Tyler had also formed a friendship, though Eva still picked on the jock from time to time. Sadie had started being very silent, only talking to DJ every now and then.
The teens were asked to do a very cruel challenge, which was facing their own fears. First up was Beth swimming in a kiddie pool of gummy worms. She passed with flying colors, getting the Gophers on the board early. DJ and Heather were both up next, facing snakes and sumo wrestlers respectively. DJ was very timid, but thanks to Sadie's positive reinforcement and Eva's screaming, the gentle giant passed. Heather was petrified, balling herself up and lucking into a win as the sumo wrestler tripped over her compact body.
Chris then started on the long term challenges. He fitted Lindsay and Sadie with ugly haircuts, sent Izzy and Owen up into a rickety plane piloted by Chef, dropped Bridgette off into the woods alone and Cody to a different spot with a stink bomb.
He was going to start Eva's long term challenge, but he first needed Ezekiel to step forward. Chris revealed that Ezekiel, who hadn't admitted his fear yesterday, was scared of women he thought were stronger or smarter than him. Since Ezekiel had largely avoided Eva since getting onto the island, his challenge was to stay handcuffed to Eva the whole day. Ezekiel immediately refused, cowering behind DJ in fear. Eva shrugged, grateful that she didn't have to be stuck with the homeschooler all day, but soon filled with rage upon seeing her fear that Chris had prepared, which was to wear a very feminine, pink dress. She reluctantly slipped into the dress and was told she had to wear it the entire day.
Leshawna failed her challenge, screaming and running away after seeing Chef in a spider costume. Harold was also unable to face his fear, though he was prepared to. The ninjas descended on him in the bathroom and he had his nunchucks at the ready, but he accidentally struck himself in the face, knocking himself down into the toilet.
Down at the beach, Trent was confronted with a mime. He ran off, causing Geoff to laugh. Chris called the party boy rude, spawning a storm cloud above Geoff and pelting him with hail, causing him to run off screaming. Geoff continued running away from the hail while Trent ran away from the mime. The two boys were shown side by side running from their fears when they both got an idea. Trent veered off towards the lake and jumped in, scaring the mime away. Meanwhile, Geoff ran into the cabins and shut all the entrances, sealing Chris' cloud out and giving himself a win.
Out in the forest, Cody had just blown himself up. He stumbled away coated in trash and groggily calling out for anyone to help him. Unfortunately for Bridgette, he'd came stumbling along her path, scaring her out of the woods and causing her to fail her challenge as well.
What's tough guy Duncan afraid of? Celine Dion music store standees, apparently. Lame ass. Literally everyone except for DJ that was present laughed at him. He told them all to shut up and steeled himself to hug the cardboard cut out, but he just couldn't bring himself to do it. Harold had doubled over laughing at this point, getting a swift punch to the gut courtesy of Duncan, who stormed off.
Izzy and Owen both landed, giving the Gophers another two points. At this time, Chris also declared the other long terms challenges over, allowing Eva to rip off her dress and letting Lindsay and Sadie take off their wigs.
That left just Tyler to face his fears, being offered triple points if he could do it since the Bass were down two points. He got into the chicken coop but couldn't bring himself to hold one of the chickens, cowering and rocking himself in a ball in a corner of the coop. The Bass were therefore the losers.
Chris shamed them for their failure at facing their fears during the elimination ceremony, throwing out marshmallows to DJ, Eva, Geoff, and Sadie for facing their fears. The rest of the votes were spread out, though Ezekiel and Tyler both had no votes against them, leaving Bridgette, Duncan, and Harold in the bottom three. Chris said that the top vote getter had four votes against them, the next had three, and the safest had two votes. The safest was Duncan, with only two votes.
Bridgette and Harold both exchanged nervous votes, knowing that it was one of them going home. Luckily for the H-bomb, it was Bridgette who had the four votes and was out. Bridgette sadly hung her head, stuffing her heads in her pockets and apologizing to the team for being such a screw up. Geoff ran after her before she boarded the Boat of Losers, admitting his crush on the surfer and asking if they could meet up after the season. Bridgette agreed, giving Geoff a brief hug before leaving.
Bridgette: 4 (Eva, Ezekiel, Sadie, Tyler)
Harold: 3 (Bridgette, Duncan, Geoff)
Duncan: 2 (DJ, Harold)
Killer Bass: DJ, Duncan, Eva, Ezekiel, Geoff, Harold, Sadie, Tyler
Screaming Gophers: Beth, Cody, Heather, Izzy, Leshawna, Lindsay, Owen, Trent
Eliminated: Courtney, Justin, Noah, Gwen, Katie, Bridgette
Duncan yanked Geoff aside for a meeting after Bridgette's elimination, expressing his concern for how things were going. He realized that he'd gotten votes in both of the last elimination ceremonies, and it was sooner or later that he and Geoff were both gone. Duncan ordered a guys pact between the two, saying that it was their best chance at survival. Geoff agreed, saying he needed vengeance for Bridgette going home so soon.
DJ had also confronted Ezekiel about his "fear", where Ezekiel admitted to DJ that his pa had told him to look out for the girls here since they probably couldn't keep up. DJ was shocked at hearing this, and asked Ezekiel if he really believed that was true. Ezekiel admitted that he didn't, but also revealed that he'd never seen a girl his age before and he was really intimidated by Eva and Sadie, and Bridgette, Courtney, and Katie before they were eliminated. DJ promised to help him get over his phobia ASAP.
The campers were assembled on the beach for their first challenge of the day, which was sailing over to Boney Island. They ran off towards their canoes when Beth came running in late, being hastily told about canoes and specifically not being told about the supposed curse of Boney Island.
For the partnerships, Leshawna took Izzy with her to try and get through to her about Heather, Heather took Owen for similar reasons, Cody clung to Lindsay, and Trent was stuck with Beth. On the Bass, Duncan grabbed Geoff instantly and took off even faster. Eva and Tyler naturally partnered up, leaving DJ, Ezekiel, Harold, and Sadie. DJ offered to go with Harold, though Ezekiel loudly shouted no and jumped in Harold's canoe, paddling off as fast as his scrawny arms could take him. DJ sighed, hopping in Sadie's canoe.
The Gophers made it to Boney Island a step ahead of the Bass, opting to take the left path that looked like a barren wasteland. The Bass showed up a few seconds after, electing to go on the right path of dense foliage. The Bass were cruising until Geoff suffered a horrific injury (a splinter) and had to ride on top of the canoe Eva was carrying. The Gophers were in considerably more trouble, with Trent and Lindsay both getting caught up in quicksand along with getting chased by prehistoric geese. The Gophers ran out onto the beach just behind the Bass, being instructed to build a fire for Chris to judge.
DJ took Ezekiel with him and Sadie to get wood, hoping that Ezekiel could at least say something to Sadie. Alas, Ezekiel stayed quiet as Sadie gabbed on, causing DJ to sigh once more. While Beth was off finding wood, she discovered a tiki doll lying around. Happy about having a new trinket, Beth pocketed the idol, unaware of what she'd just done to her team.
The Bass had pulled ahead in the challenge thanks to Duncan's lighter and Harold's stupid decision of incinerating their oars. They wouldn't hold their lead for long as Izzy walked up with a homemade firestarter. She tossed it onto their fire and watched the flame shoot up all the way to Chris' helicopter, giving them the win in that challenge and a head start to head back to the island.
With the Gophers gone and no oars, the Bass looked hopelessly lost. Thankfully, Izzy's loud mouth let slip that they could just swim behind all the boats and push them back to shore. After a lot of urging and pleading, DJ eventually was talked into pushing them home. His incredible speed brought the Bass home first, giving them the win on the day.
The elimination ceremony saw Heather, Izzy, and Leshawna all in the bottom three. No one ever did find out who was actually going home though, as an RCMP helicopter came in search of Izzy, chasing her off the island.
Izzy: Votes null
Killer Bass: DJ, Duncan, Eva, Ezekiel, Geoff, Harold, Sadie, Tyler
Screaming Gophers: Beth, Cody, Heather, Leshawna, Lindsay, Owen, Trent
Eliminated: Courtney, Justin, Noah, Gwen, Katie, Bridgette, Izzy
Who doesn't like paintball? After today, one of these teams certainly didn't.
DJ asked Ezekiel why he wouldn't talk to Sadie during the challenge yesterday, Ezekiel simply sighing and saying that he couldn't bring herself to talk to her and that his fear was overpowering. DJ lectured the homeschooler on being more confident in himself, with Ezekiel responding to DJ that he'd try.
Over on the Gophers, Heather had woken up on the wrong side of the bed. Well, for her it was the right side of the bed. She demanded Beth and Lindsay to go preheat her shower and then shave her back. Beth was seriously grated over all these requests. Meanwhile, Leshawna had pulled Owen aside, wondering where he stood between her and Heather. Owen made an excuse to get out of answering, saying in a confessional that he hated being in the middle of all the team fighting and that he wished everyone would just get along.
The teams were called to play paintball, some dressed as deer and others as hunters. The Bass had Eva, Geoff, Harold, and Tyler hunt while DJ, Duncan, Ezekiel, and Sadie were deer. The Gophers were given Beth, Leshawna, and Owen as hunters and Cody, Heather, Lindsay, and Trent as deer. DJ whispered to Ezekiel that he should try and go with Sadie, to protect her. Ezekiel nodded shakily at this, saying he'd try. Owen tried to intimidate Duncan, but Duncan intimidated the large boy more than the other way around. The deer were given a head start, getting to spread out into the forest for fifteen minutes with immunity.
As soon as the horn blasted, Owen set off towards where he last saw Duncan. Beth and Leshawna opted to go in different directions, mostly due to Leshawna assuming Beth was just a weaker version of Heather. Eva had gotten really into the hunting aspect of the game, darting off towards where she saw Trent leave and trying to track her footprints. Harold and Tyler went off together, leaving Geoff all by himself.
Owen had channeled his "Naturalist" persona as he dubbed it, prancing around the island pretending to be Bear Grylls. He attempted to sneak up on Duncan, but a fart revealed his location, giving Duncan time to flee. He also failed to get DJ, whiffing painfully on the giant.
Ezekiel had stuck close to Sadie when the challenge first began, following her into the forest. Once she realized she was being followed, Sadie kindly greeted Ezekiel, asking him what's up. Ezekiel pointed at a bird above him, making Sadie laugh. Ezekiel was confused, but nonetheless smiled back at her before informing her that he was going to protect her. Sadie smiled and hugged Ezekiel, thanking him for his service. The two walked off, Sadie talking the most with Ezekiel occasionally adding in an anecdote.
Beth walked through the forest and managed to stumble into Heather sitting in a clearing filing her nails. Heather ordered Beth to go get her chips from the Mess Hall, which the farm girl reluctantly agreed to. Beth snuck into the Mess Hall and recovered a bag of chips, barely escaping Chef Hatchet's wrath as she did so.
Back in the woods, Lindsay was out by a creek relaxing when Geoff came up behind her. Geoff whispered a sorry under his breath and took his shot, nailing Lindsay in the back of the head. He would've shot more but he himself got smacked with paint right after Lindsay. Confused at the blue paint, Geoff whipped his head around to see Tyler standing behind him. Geoff demanded to know what was up and why he was shooting him. Tyler demanded to know why Geoff was shooting at Lindsay, saying that "shooting my girl isn't cool, man!". Geoff pointed out that Lindsay was on the other team and that he was just trying to win the challenge from them, "bro". Tyler pushed Geoff away, telling him not to dare shoot Lindsay again. Geoff held his hands up in retreat and left, saying sorry.
Owen had been chasing DJ up Wawanakwa's cliff, gasping for air and firing wildly as he went. Soon enough, Owen had DJ cornered right where he wanted him. Owen stared DJ down and pulled the trigger of his paintball gun. Only to hear a click. Owen pulled three more times. Nothing. DJ, who was full of fear, stood up tall and stalked towards Owen. Owen pleaded for DJ to let him go, but DJ's mind was made up. Owen soon was hurled over the edge of cliff.
Beth was stomping through the woods with her bag of chips, not noticing the opening that was leaving a trail behind her. Cody popped out of a bush to see a grumpy Beth heading along. The two were soon confronted with Heather, who threw the chips away and demanded Beth bring her a "better" flavor (I mean seriously, dill pickle? Salt and vinegar on top). Cody picked up the discarded chip bag and ran off as Beth and Heather had a big fight, getting up in each other's face. Their fight was broken up by Leshawna accidentally shooting Heather and Heather returning fire with Beth's gun. Eva and Harold had also shown up, getting in their own licks until the horn blew again.
Chris made a very easy decision, noting that everyone on the Gophers was either roughed up or covered in paint, gesturing to Cody in a full body cast. Trent asked what happened, Chris telling the musician that Cody had been mauled by a bear.
The vote that night wasn't decided by any of the Gophers, but by Chris himself. Chris declared that Cody was unfit to continue and would be medically evacuated from the competition. Everyone said their goodbyes to the geek and Beth pushed him off the dock, gushing to him about how she was so proud of herself for sticking up to Heather. She revealed her tiki doll from Boney Island to Cody, causing the boy to panic as he fell into the lake.
Cody: Med-evaced
Killer Bass: DJ, Duncan, Eva, Ezekiel, Geoff, Harold, Sadie, Tyler
Screaming Gophers: Beth, Heather, Leshawna, Lindsay, Owen, Trent
Eliminated: Courtney, Justin, Noah, Gwen, Katie, Bridgette, Izzy, Cody
Children tend to be comically bad chefs, unless of course they're on MasterChef Junior. Naturally, Chris decided to exploit this fact for views and ratings.
Ezekiel had come running to DJ the previous night, proud of himself for actually making conversation with Sadie, the giant applauding his effort. DJ told the homeschooler to keep working and soon enough talking to all the women on the island would be a breeze for him. Duncan had woken up that morning and was ambushed with Harold's dirty boxers scattered around the bunk, which Harold denied to leaving out. Geoff and Tyler both pointed out that they were definitely his, and when he refused to admit it, Duncan got a malicious idea for them that day.
Beth and Heather hadn't said a word to one another, which Leshawna was loving. Lindsay was uncomfortable between the girls, not knowing who she should support.
Chris announced the challenge would be a cook off. Heather claimed Head Chef instantly while Geoff was nominated as Head Chef for the Bass. Heather chose an upscale theme and Geoff rocked with an Italian dish. Heather assigned Leshawna on appetizers, Beth and Trent on the main course, and Lindsay and Owen on the dessert, though she quickly lost Trent when Owen concussed him with a crate of oranges. For the Bass, Harold took Ezekiel and Sadie to work on the antipasto salad, DJ and Tyler took on the main course, and Duncan and Eva were left on dessert.
Harold had a rough go of the challenge, getting constantly bullied by Duncan, Geoff, and Tyler for refusing to admit his guilt. Highlights included getting hot sauce in his underwear and being fed his own dirty gitch in a sandwich. Because he was in and out of the kitchen, Ezekiel and Sadie furthered their friendship, Ezekiel telling Sadie about his time on the farm and Sadie sharing her own stories about Katie and the populus world.
The Gophers were failing. Like really badly. Heather had lit Owen and Lindsay's flambe, burning her eyebrows off in the process. She ordered Owen, who was already covered in bee stings, to get her make up bag from the cabin. Owen came back with the bag entirely delirious, and a series of questionable events led to Heather getting locked in the fridge. Along with this, Leshawna had suffered a mild allergic reaction.
Serving time was up for both teams. Beth had placed her tiki doll on the table for good luck for the Gophers. By the time the Gophers were to bring out their main course, the Bass were already up 15 to 6. Leshawna went to retrieve the ribs, only to see that Owen had nearly cleaned the plate. A messy and shameridden Owen came out with the near empty plate, netting his team only 2 points. Add on their charred dessert nearly killing Chris, and the Bass picked up their third straight challenge win with ease.
Lindsay ran to unlock Heather from the fridge, whereupon Beth revealed her tiki totem was from Boney Island. The curse juju wasn't bought by Leshawna, but everyone else on the team was willing to either exploit it for their own purposes or fully bought into it. Because of all these factors, Beth was the one who walked the dock.
The following morning, Harold woke up naked in front of all the Wawanakwa ladies swimming in the lake. Duncan, Geoff, and Tyler made him swear that he'd stop leaving his buttbags all over the cabin, which the nerd quickly agreed to before booking it out of there.
Beth: 4 (Heather, Lindsay, Owen, Trent)
Heather: 2 (Beth, Leshawna)
Killer Bass: DJ, Duncan, Eva, Ezekiel, Geoff, Harold, Sadie, Tyler
Screaming Gophers: Heather, Leshawna, Lindsay, Owen, Trent
Eliminated: Courtney, Justin, Noah, Gwen, Katie, Bridgette, Izzy, Cody, Beth
Heather gathered all the Screaming Gophers together for a meeting the next morning. She said that they couldn't let their second losing streak affect them and that they needed to get back into the win column. She said that despite their differences, they needed each other if any of them wanted any chance at winning this game. Owen and Trent both agreed, though Leshawna was justifiably hesitant.
Harold was growing a serious disdain for his teammates, particularly Duncan. He hoped that the merge would come soon and that he could skirt through these last few challenges, because the bullying was starting to really get under his skin.
Because of all this tension, Chris decided today would be a good time to build trust within the teams.
Their first challenge was to scale a rather treacherous cliff. DJ and Duncan were selected for the Bass, and Heather and Leshawna were for the Gophers. DJ and Heather were both made to climb, Heather having a much easier time than DJ. However, the Bass would claim victory when Chris sprayed Leshawna with hot sauce, distracting her long enough for Heather to slip and the two girls to get suspended mid air, totally stuck.
The next challenge was a mini cookoff, in which Lindsay and Trent would compete against Geoff and Sadie. They were instructed to cook a type of poisonous blowfish, needing to specifically avoid feeding their partner poison. Lindsay and Sadie both begged to let Trent and Geoff respectively allow them to cook. Both boys being as kind as they are agreed, exchanging looks of caution as they agreed to this. Their looks were well warranted, as both girls ended up serving their partner incoherent mush of fish. Both Geoff and Trent well down with acute blowfish toxicity, throwing up and turning blue. Chef carted them both off to the infirmary as Chris declared this challenge a tie.
Chris introduced the final leg of the challenge, which was a three part exercise in blind trust. Their first challenge was blind reverse William Tell, where one teammate would shoot crab apples at another wearing an arrow on their head. Leshawna was to shoot at Owen and Ezekiel at Eva. Both those getting hit were very resilient to getting hit by the crab apples, but Eva's temper was starting to flare. She tried to stay calm and give Ezekiel directions, but her loud voice and her being a woman freaked Ezekiel out way too much for the homeschooler to shoot accurately. Leshawna netted the Gophers an easy win, tying the teams up.
Next was a blindfolded trapeze over a jellyfish pit. Tyler was swinging to catch Harold and Lindsay was swinging to catch Heather. There's no point in even building any suspense here, both teens failed miserably. Harold and Heather were both swiftly brought to the infirmary, leaving it up to a tiebreaker.
By the point, Geoff and Trent had both recovered from their poisoning, giving them the opportunity to compete in the final challenge. They would compete alongside Duncan and Owen in a blindfolded toboggan race. To add in more flair, Chris decided that both the boys who were just in the infirmary were to guide their teammates down the slope. The slide down the slope was a rough one, as both Geoff and Trent were far too groggy to provide accurate and fast directions. Eventually, Trent accidentally guided him and Owen over a mine, sending the Gopher boys careening down the mountain in a crash.
Duncan and Geoff pulled in a few seconds after, looking at Chris to see who'd won. It was, in fact, the Gophers who finally broke their streak. The Bass were heading towards another elimination ceremony for the first time in four episodes.
Before the elimination, Eva grabbed ahold of Sadie. Sadie timidly asked what was up, where Eva explained their predicament. Eva pointed out that they had eliminated three straight girls, and that one of them were probably next if they weren't careful. Sadie said she understood, then asked if Eva had any ideas of who to take out. Eva said anyone besides Duncan, reasoning that he was the strongest. Sadie added in that she wanted to keep Ezekiel because she liked him, and that DJ was pretty nice too. Eva scratched at her chin as she got an idea, leaving Sadie and saying she'd come back later that night.
Eva found her targets pretty quickly, barking at DJ and Harold to come over for a second. They both asked Eva what was going on, and Eva explained that she heard rumblings of Duncan and Geoff wanting to vote off Harold. DJ was sad to hear that since he didn't mind Harold, and Harold himself was scared. Harold asked why Eva would rather save him than Geoff, and Eva's logic was pretty simple: Geoff was far too nice and would be a big threat once the merge hit. Icing him now would be good for all of them. Harold digested this and agreed to vote with Eva, though DJ was skeptical.
In the end though, Eva didn't need DJ's vote. After strongarming Tyler, Geoff was cast off the island. He shared a fist bump with everyone on the team before he left, meeting up with Bridgette on the Boat of Losers.
Geoff: 4 (Eva, Harold, Sadie, Tyler)
Duncan: 2 (DJ, Ezekiel)
Harold: 2 (Duncan, Geoff)
Killer Bass: DJ, Duncan, Eva, Ezekiel, Harold, Sadie, Tyler
Screaming Gophers: Heather, Leshawna, Lindsay, Owen, Trent
Eliminated: Courtney, Justin, Noah, Gwen, Katie, Bridgette, Izzy, Cody, Beth, Geoff
Duncan was in a foul mood that morning. He'd laid off a little on bullying Harold since the cooking challenge, but now, with his best ally and friend on the island in Geoff gone, he was pulling no punches. DJ tried to get Duncan to lay off to no avail, while Ezekiel decided to not interfere. Tyler, despite previously picking on Harold, decided to not add onto his pain, having already gotten over Harold leaving his dirty laundry out in the open.
The teens were called down to the dock by none other than Chef Hatchet that morning for their challenge. They knew they were in for it when Chef came out dressed in full military garb, screaming and barking at them with no remorse. Eva had held a salute as soon as she saw Sergeant Hatchet.
Their first challenge was to hold a canoe over their head for an extended period of time. Heather sighed as soon as the challenge started, knowing that Lindsay or Owen wouldn't last long. The Bass sailed smoothly, despite a fishing rod underwear yank by Duncan to Harold. Day turned to night and the Gophers were miraculously still standing, though that wouldn't last. Lindsay eventually caved, having lost all feeling in her arms, giving the Bass a further edge.
The next challenge was essay writing. During this challenge, Duncan fed Harold kitchen grease. Why? Duncan's a dick, that's why. DJ, Sadie, and Trent all got knocked out here, unable to stay awake and write the essay.
The campers were then lead to an obstacle course that they had to finish within a minute to move on. Ezekiel and Leshawna both failed here as well, along with Harold who puked up a whole heap of mud. As Harold got up to go to the infirmary, Duncan kicked Harold once more, sending the dweeb sprawling back down to the ground. Chef demanded to know why he would assault a fellow soldier, and Duncan got up right in his face to tell Chef exactly what he thought of Harold. This, along with Duncan having spent the entire day pestering Chef, got him a sentencing of solitary confinement in the boathouse.
While in the boathouse, Duncan was left with very little to do. He trolled around, kicking boxes and scattering fishing equipment as he felt necessary to relieve himself. After he'd quenched all his rage, he went to tidying the place up. While cleaning things up, he found a copy of the ballot box for voting along with a screwdriver. Naturally, he checked to see if the screwdriver could unscrew the screws of the ballot box, which they could. Armed with his new knowledge, Duncan grinned maliciously and tucked the screwdriver away, getting back to cleaning until Chef came to retrieve him for the last challenge.
The last challenge was an ancient method of torture where the remaining campers - Duncan, Eva, Tyler, Heather, Owen - would have to hang by their legs until the blood rushed to their head enough to cause them to drop. As Chef described the symptoms, Tyler fell, landing hard on his chin. Duncan laughed at the jock's misfortune, calling him a loser. Owen was having a hard time hanging on, unable to reach the branch over his girth. Heather yelled at him to move his tubby arms, but the fat boy couldn't, falling right after and landing on Tyler.
Duncan laughed even harder at Tyler, now pissing off Eva who told him to cool it. Duncan just rolled his eyes and grit his teeth, focusing on taking down Heather. The three stayed for quite some time until Duncan finally collapsed, his lack of food from his boathouse confinement finally getting to him. Heather celebrated silently at getting it down to a one on one and Eva bit her tongue, bracing herself to endure even more.
Unfortunately for Heather, determination can't beat raw endurance. She dropped quickly after Duncan, groaning as she was defeated. The Bass all celebrated around Eva, except for Duncan and Harold, since Duncan had taken to throwing Harold into the tree. For absolutely no reason.
Heather and Leshawna both knew they needed only one vote to ensure their target went home that night, that vote belonging to Owen. Leshawna got to Owen first, briefly asking the large boy to help her dump off Heather. Owen said he'd think about it, leading Leshawna to give him a thumbs up and walk off. As she left, Heather came up with Lindsay. Heather pleaded with Owen, saying how much she didn't want to go home and how she really wanted more time on the island. Owen asked who she wanted him to vote for, and Heather told him she wanted Trent gone. When asked why, Heather answered that Trent has been super injury prone, and that someone who can't stay healthy is bound to turn into another Cody. Owen didn't respond, simply saying he'd think about it. Lindsay gave Owen a big hug before both girls walked off, leaving the fate of the team in Owen's hands.
Leshawna was shocked to not be in the bottom two that night, and Trent was even more surprised that he was facing elimination. Chris held up the last vote, saying that Owen decided who was going home. Owen hid his face in shame as Chris read out that Trent was going home. Trent begged to know if this was a mistake, and Owen hugged him, apologizing and saying he didn't want him to keep getting hurt. Leshawna sighed but said she understood his logic, saying a cool goodbye to Trent and facing the reality that she was now screwed.
Trent: 3 (Heather, Lindsay, Owen)
Heather: 2 (Leshawna, Trent)
Killer Bass: DJ, Duncan, Eva, Ezekiel, Harold, Sadie, Tyler
Screaming Gophers: Heather, Leshawna, Lindsay, Owen
Eliminated: Courtney, Justin, Noah, Gwen, Katie, Bridgette, Izzy, Cody, Beth, Geoff, Trent
Leshawna knew there was absolutely no way she wasn't going home if the Gophers lost again. She made it her mission to singlehandedly win the Gophers the challenge today so she could get one more night of sleep under her belt.
Duncan was being as relentless in his assault of Harold, and it was seriously starting to bother DJ, Eva, and Sadie. Even Ezekiel and Tyler were starting to get uncomfortable, but Duncan really couldn't give a fuck.
The challenge of the day was EXTREME! Tyler was elated. The first challenge saw Tyler, who volunteered, going against Owen in a challenge to parachute down onto the beach and land safely on a couch pushed by their teammates.
Duncan spent less time pushing the couch and more time kicking sand at Harold. When Eva ordered him to move, Duncan scoffed and told her that she's got it covered. Eva growled, but Duncan was right. Despite Tyler's flailing, Eva was able to place the couch in the perfect spot for Tyler to land on it, though he was folded back into the couch after landing on it. DJ and Sadie both cheered Eva on, and Ezekiel sure did try, but he couldn't get the words out. Meanwhile, although Leshawna was trying her hardest, she wasn't strong enough to get the couch in the right spot quick enough to stop Owen's terminal velocity. The big guy smashed into the sand, sending kilos of sand flying up into the air and down onto everyone.
During some downtime, Lindsay was in the Mess Hall when she found a love letter. Sadie stumbled upon her at the same time, and they both read the love letter. Each girl assumed it was meant for the other, coming from Tyler or Ezekiel respectively. They made it their goal to figure out who wrote it.
The next challenge was bucking on a moose, where Eva and Leshawna squared off. While Eva bucked (screaming profanities at the moose might I add), Sadie subtly asked Ezekiel about any sort of haiku he'd written recently. Ezekiel looked at her doe-eyed and asked what a haiku is, to which Sadie facepalmed. Lindsay tried her luck with Tyler, asking him about any love letters he'd written, blushing as she asked. Tyler smiled and said he had, reminiscing about a poem he'd written about his favorite basketball player. It was a rough poem to say the least, so clearly it wasn't meant for Lindsay either.
Eva had set the bar rather high, but Leshawna was determined to pass that mark and keep herself alive. She bucked and bucked and bucked and bucked, eventually managing to barely scrape past Eva by a few seconds, leaving the teams tied.
The final challenge was mud skiing. Chris drove Duncan and Heather to drive and Harold and Lindsay to ski for each team. Harold went wide eyed when Chris said this, pleading with the host to not let Duncan kill him on live TV. Chris reassured the nerd, telling him that Duncan would be driving Lindsay and Heather would be driving him. Harold breathed a sigh of relief until he saw Heather slide a finger over his throat, bringing his fear right back to a boil.
Duncan and Lindsay were up first, and Lindsay was surprising capable in this challenge despite Duncan's reckless driving. She managed to snatch all five of the flags and, even though Duncan let go of the wheel and crashed his mudski, crossed the finish line with ease. While this was happening, Sadie had gone around to DJ and Owen, asking them about any poem they'd written recently. They both denied it, leaving Sadie stumped as to who could've been the author.
Harold stood up to ski, terrified at what Heather would do to him. Luckily for the dork, he actually had a pretty easy time handling the skis. Heather drived less recklessly than Duncan, and thanks to all of Duncan's bullying throughout the season, Harold was quickly building a tolerance for pain. The nerd was cruising along just fine, having collected all five flags and looking like he was about to force a tie when Heather struck. She flipped herself around towards Harold and pulled out a knife, going to cut the rope. As she did, a low hanging tree branch caught her top, and Harold and the entire viewing audience got a full view of her boobs. Harold, in total awe at seeing real life boobs for the first time, lost his focus and crashed. The Gophers won and Lindsay and Owen cheered on Heather, who pretended like that was her plan the whole time.
The elimination ceremony came and Duncan and Harold were in the bottom two. Chris told each man why there were there, Duncan because he'd been a grade A prick, and Harold because he threw the last challenge. Chris dragged out the elimination as long as he could, revealing that it was Harold who walking the dock. Duncan smirked and Harold was shockingly okay with that. DJ, Eva, and Sadie demanded to know how that was possible if they all voted for Duncan, but Chris just held his hands up, saying nothing.
Harold boarded the dock in front of both teams, revealing that he'd been the author behind Leshawna's love letters. The two shared a quick kiss before Harold was carted off the island.
Back at the campfire, Duncan was shown waving his hand over the fire. A flashback confessional showed him stuffing the ballot box with a bunch of fake ballots, snickering that he was finally going to be free of that stupid dork. Duncan shook off his hand as it caught on fire, smiling devilishly at the camera as the episode ended.
Harold: 7 (DJ, Duncan, Eva, Ezekiel, Harold, Sadie, Tyler) [Rigged]
Killer Bass: DJ, Duncan, Eva, Ezekiel, Sadie, Tyler
Screaming Gophers: Heather, Leshawna, Lindsay, Owen
Eliminated: Courtney, Justin, Noah, Gwen, Katie, Bridgette, Izzy, Cody, Beth, Geoff, Trent, Harold
The teens woke up that morning to find that their current teams were broken and they would now be split by gender. Eva and Sadie packed up and moved over to the Gopher cabin while Owen made himself at home with the Bass boys. Owen and Tyler got along very well, as did Lindsay and Sadie, who spent the morning gabbing about boys.
Chris called them into the Mess Hall for their first and only gender-based challenge, which was an eating challenge.
The Brunch of Disgustingness as it was called was truly disgusting, testing the campers' ability to inhale disgusting foods. After eight rounds it was tied four a piece, leading into a tiebreaker. The teens were told to pick a representative to drink shot glasses of blended cockroach. Owen and Leshawna squared off, but Leshawna was no match for the eating machine that is Owen.
Owen was a hero among the Bass boys for winning the challenge and earning them a three day cruise. The boys went off as the girls sulked back to their cabin, Eva and Heather in particular getting into a fight as they went.
Boys: DJ, Duncan, Ezekiel, Owen, Tyler
Girls: Eva, Heather, Lindsay, Leshawna, Sadie
Eliminated: Courtney, Justin, Noah, Gwen, Katie, Bridgette, Izzy, Cody, Beth, Geoff, Trent, Harold
The boys were riding high after their cruise, which was quickly ended when Chris announced that all teams were off and everyone was on their own. Owen still wanted to team with the Bass boys, who more or less shunned him, deflating his mood.
Chris gathered them all in front of the dock as he announced he was bringing two losers back into the game. The first boat dropped off Courtney, who absolutely no one was thrilled to see. She tried to cordially reintroduce herself to her Bass teammates, who all ignored her. She tried the same with the Gophers, with only Lindsay and Owen giving her the time of day. The second returnee actually swung in on a vine, of course operated by Izzy. She claimed to have been living in the forest the whole time, which everyone was weirded out about.
When Heather asked how they were allowed back, Chris explained that Courtney sued her way back onto the show and Izzy was never officially eliminated, she had just run off into the forest during the ceremony.
The merge group was tasked with an extreme game of torture, having to outlast as much pain as they could to win immunity. Duncan took the opportunity to bully Courtney, saying that there's no way she'd be able to survive this if she couldn't even jump off a cliff. Courtney retaliated, telling Duncan she'd show him.
Teens dropped out left and right, with DJ, Ezekiel, Heather, Lindsay, Owen, and Sadie all getting knocked out relatively early. Duncan, Eva, and Leshawna were being carried by their toughness while Courtney was determined to fight past them, Tyler was used to pain, and Izzy was flat out crazy. Izzy was so crazy, in fact, that she would eliminate herself next.
Tyler had just finished his dare of wearing bees as a sweater when Duncan yanked him aside, telling him to send Courtney into a box to face Sasquatchanakwa. Eva scoffed at this, telling Duncan that he was playing low. Tyler did as Duncan said, though he soon regretted it as Courtney was able to pass the challenge with flying colors. Her skills garnered applause from Leshawna and a nod from Eva, along with a scoff from Duncan who tried to remain unimpressed.
Tyler returned to his seat next to Lindsay, flirting with her as he got stocked. Lindsay giggled, annoying Heather who was on Lindsay's other side. Heather gave a confessional saying that while Tyler was a dumb and gullible enough ally to have in her corner, she wasn't about to lose Lindsay to Tyler, so he'd either have to join them or go.
The camera cut back to show that the final two was Courtney versus Eva, with Courtney competing in the deciding challenge: log riding against Molotov the log riding champion bear. Duncan said that this was an easy win for Eva and that they might as well pack up now and leave. Leshawna flicked Duncan in the back of the head and told him to give Courtney a fair chance. Duncan refused, saying that Courtney was a whiny, annoying kissass who he hoped fell into the water, simply because of how funny it would be.
Courtney had a new fire lit under her and log rolled like she'd never log rolled before. Well, she had never log rolled before, so how would that work? Either way, doesn't matter, she defeated Molotov and earned herself victory. Duncan went slackjaw at this, with Courtney teasing him and saying that he shouldn't have underestimated her, huh?
Chris decided that for a merge special, he'd roll out of the voting confessionals, showing who some campers had voted for. Courtney had voted for Duncan out of spite, Eva and Leshawna both voted for Duncan for being a dick, Duncan himself voted for Ezekiel for being a dweeb, and Lindsay had been shown to vote for Duncan.
All in all, the punk was done like dinner. He didn't bother responding to anyone as he went, storming off the island and hopping onto to the Boat of Losers as fast as he could.
Duncan: 11 (Courtney, DJ, Eva, Ezekiel, Heather, Izzy, Leshawna, Lindsay, Owen, Sadie, Tyler)
Ezekiel: 1 (Duncan)
Merge: Courtney, DJ, Eva, Ezekiel, Heather, Izzy, Leshawna, Lindsay, Owen, Sadie, Tyler
Eliminated: Courtney (1), Justin, Noah, Gwen, Katie, Bridgette, Izzy (1), Cody, Beth, Geoff, Trent, Harold, Duncan
Key hunts key hunts key hunts, that's wazzup.
Heather gave a confessional updating the audience on her situation. She said that while Lindsay was still the perfect ally, Tyler staying in the game and not being off limits anymore was becoming a problem. She acknowledged that taking Tyler deep wouldn't be bad, but he needed to go before the Final Four, or Heather wouldn't make the finale. She also mulled over pulling in Ezekiel, Izzy, or Sadie, but noted they would take some work.
Speaking of Ezekiel, he was out with Sadie, listening to her talk about Katie for the millionth time. He gave a confessional saying that he liked Sadie, but listening her talk so much was getting really boring.
Courtney had spent the morning buttering up who she presumed would be her prime ally: Owen. The large boy enjoyed all the attention and praise, entirely oblivious to what Courtney was doing. Leshawna tried to inform him, but Owen didn't listen. Or he didn't care. Tough to tell with Big O.
Chris called them all to the amphitheater to announce that today's challenge was a key hunt. The campers were assigned the following locations:
Courtney's key was wrapped around a bunny's neck.
DJ's key was tied to a tree branch.
Eva's key was suspended in a flaming ring.
Ezekiel's key was in a skunk hole.
Heather's key was in Chef's fridge.
Izzy's key was within a coiled up snake.
Leshawna's key was surrounded by crocodiles.
Lindsay's key was in a beehive.
Owen's key was wrapped around a bear's neck. Dude got screwed.
Sadie's key was in a septic tank.
And finally, Tyler's key was on a post surrounded by sharks. He was giving Owen a run for his money in the "who's more screwed" department.
Some campers had more success than others. Courtney found her key rather quickly, as did Eva. Heather had a scare with Chef, but she was able to get her key all the same. DJ took a spill getting his key, and Izzy got a nasty snake bit that seemed to not affect her en route to getting her key.
Everyone else either needed help getting their key or gave up even trying. Tyler made so many attempts to get his key, like literally so many. He was met with the same fate every time, which was getting bit up by sharks. Eventually, he gave up and set out to find Lindsay. Lindsay was currently recovering from bee stings but had her key in hand. She told Tyler that Izzy had tried to help but got her stung in the process. Tyler pointed out the key, which Lindsay said Izzy gave her from the remnants of the hive. Tyler thanked Izzy and Izzy assured them it was no biggie.
Owen was having a laughably hard time. He stalked the bear, waiting until it fell asleep before making his move. Unfortunately for the big guy, the bear wrapped him into a hug when he reached for the key, leaving him momentarily incapacitated.
Leshawna had been having a rough go getting her key from the crocs when Courtney strolled up. Leshawna asked if she came here to taunt, but Courtney denied any such thing. Courtney offered her help, saying she'd grab the key while Leshawna distracted the crocs. Leshawna, having already struggled mightily in the challenge so far, decided some help was better than none, and took the deal. Courtney was able to secure her key, getting a thank you and an alliance offer from Courtney. Leshawna said she'd consider it, but first she needed some grub, walking off towards the Mess Hall without confirming anything with the CIT.
Sadie had given up as soon as the challenge started, refusing to go in the septic tank. She waddled off to find Ezekiel pouring water down a skunk hole, flushing them out and netting himself his key. Sadie came up and hugged him, surprising the homeschooler. He smiled and started talking to Sadie, letting her gab. Sadie revealed she hadn't retrieved her key yet, leading to Ezekiel offering his services to get her key. She smiled happily and agreed.
Some time passed and Ezekiel was out of the septic tank, covered in filth but having a key in hand. He handed it over to a gushy Sadie, who was all smiles. She hugged him and kissed him on the cheek before remembering how bad he stank, running off to puke before telling him he needed a shower. Ezekiel was shellshocked, but in a good way. He struggled to form coherent sentences for a solid ten minutes, eventually just shutting up and walking off to shower. Neither he nor Sadie noticed their secret watcher.
Chris called the campers back to the stage to claim their booty, everyone except for Tyler getting to open their chest. Most contained garbage except for Heather's, which had the immunity token.
With her immunity token in hand, Heather knew that now was the time to end what she saw earlier. Lindsay and Tyler were already going to be hard to deal with, add in another couple and she and the other single people would soon be outnumbered. So, she devised a plan. She asked Lindsay to get Ezekiel to meet her at the dock while she forged a note from Ezekiel to Sadie telling the twin to meet "him" at the dock. Ezekiel saw a crying Heather and did his best to ask what was wrong, his voice shaky when trying to talk to a girl who wasn't Sadie.
Heather broke down on the homeschooler, telling him about how she feels so lonely and nervous about her place in the game. Ezekiel did his best comforting her, but social graces aren't exactly his forte. Heather continued feigning being miserable until Sadie showed up, letting her put her plan into motion. As Sadie strolled into view, Heather pulled Ezekiel in for a kiss. She powered through her body telling her to stop while Ezekiel basically turned into mush in her arms. Sadie broke down immediately, running off sobbing. Once she left, Heather released Ezekiel and told him thanks. Once again, Ezekiel was left completely shocked.
Courtney, still trying to prove herself as kind, asked Sadie what was wrong. Sadie unloaded everything she'd just saw, which appalled Courtney. She ran around the island letting everyone know what had happened, and it wasn't long before the entire island knew of Ezekiel's transgressions. DJ tried to talk to Ezekiel, knowing he'd never do something like this, but he was still too shaken up over everything to actually say anything intelligible, and the words he did say made it seem like he didn't see what was wrong with what he did.
DJ tried his best to get people to see Ezekiel wouldn't do something like this, but Sadie's wails were too much to sway anyone any other way, especially with Heather immune. With all that, Ezekiel was cast out. He tried to explain himself, but he just couldn't get the words out. After Sadie screamed at him to leave, he finally did. Courtney and Heather both comforted Sadie, one more genuinely than the other. DJ glared at Heather, mentally swearing to get justice for Ezekiel and Sadie.
Ezekiel: 9 (Courtney, Eva, Heather, Izzy, Leshawna, Lindsay, Owen, Sadie, Tyler)
Courtney: 2 (DJ, Ezekiel)
Merge: Courtney, DJ, Eva, Heather, Izzy, Leshawna, Lindsay, Owen, Sadie, Tyler
Eliminated: Courtney (1), Justin, Noah, Gwen, Katie, Bridgette, Izzy (1), Cody, Beth, Geoff, Trent, Harold, Duncan, Ezekiel
Sadie was reeling after Ezekiel's elimination. She didn't like him like Heather had presumed, but she was warming up to the idea the more they spent time together. Still, Courtney provided emotional support, as did Heather, who apologized and said that Ezekiel had ambushed her. Sadie thanked them both for being as kind as they were, though Courtney raised her eye at Heather's claims.
DJ had spent all day prior to the challenge trying to clear Ezekiel's name and figure out what had happened with Heather. He got no information, but he was able to convince Tyler. It wasn't much, but it was someone.
Chris gathered the campers for a good ol' fashioned game of hide and seek. Chef would seek while they all hid. Winners would either have to not be found by sundown, reach home base, or find another camper. With the rules explained all the campers dispersed, attempting to find a hiding spot.
Owen was running through the woods, searching for a hiding spot, when he was yanked into a cave. Inside, Leshawna had gathered DJ and Tyler. Leshawna said she'd called them there because she was scared they were outnumbered by the girls. Tyler pointed out that Leshawna was a girl herself, but Leshawna countered by saying that she wasn't close with any of the girls, and that by the time they picked off all the dudes, she'd be the first to go next. She offered an alliance to the three dudes, which DJ and Owen accepted without hesitation. Tyler was conflicted over joining an alliance without Lindsay, but caved when he realized his predicament. Leshawna left with DJ and Owen, leaving Tyler alone in his cave.
Back at camp, Sadie had gotten found almost instantly, hardly even trying to hide. Lindsay had accidentally revealed Heather's hiding spot, getting herself and Heather out in the process. Heather was initially upset until she saw Sadie was there, grinning at the opportunity to bring in another alliance member.
Owen and DJ were the next two found, both guys trying to hide on the Mess Hall roof, unaware of the other's presence. They fell through and were founded by Heather's group. Heather offered Sadie Owen to turn in, which the twin accepted gratefully.
Izzy and Tyler were both found later on, though Izzy put up a great fight. Izzy did notice Leshawna floating underneath the dock, though she agreed to keep her spot a secret.
The last person found was Courtney, who was just a few minutes from safety. That left Eva, who'd fully buried herself in the forest, and Leshawna, who tagged home base, as immunity winners along with Heather and Sadie.
Leshawna reconvened her guys alliance and asked who they should vote off. With two major targets off the board in Eva and Heather, in addition to Sadie being immune, they were left with only Courtney, Izzy, and Lindsay left to target. Tyler immediately shot down voting out Lindsay, narrowing it down to Courtney and Izzy. DJ and Tyler both suggested Izzy, figuring that Courtney was all alone and wasn't as crazily dangerous as Izzy had shown herself to be. Leshawna agreed with them, saying that Izzy was too much of a wildcard. Owen tried to plead her case and get the group to vote for Courtney, but DJ and Tyler wouldn't budge. Owen sighed, eventually putting his hand in and resigning himself to his vote.
With Eva on her evening jog and Izzy MIA, the remaining girls had gathered to discuss the vote. Heather wanted to vote off Owen, while Courtney wanted to send DJ packing. Lindsay stayed out of it, saying that she didn't want to think about it. That left Courtney and Heather to both plead their case to Sadie, gently asking the girl to vote for their boy over the others. Sadie didn't know who to commit to, though once Heather brought up how they bonded during the challenge and over Ezekiel two timing both of them, Sadie eventually swayed to Heather's cause.
Courtney left the cabin, frustrated and set on telling Izzy about their plan to vote off Owen. Izzy freaked at this, begging Eva to vote DJ with them. Eva simply grunted, leaving to get dinner.
The bottom three were DJ, Izzy, and Owen. After DJ was called safe, Izzy looked over at Owen nervously, and Owen hid his face in shame. Izzy was dumbfounded to be sent home yet again. She looked over at Owen, begging him to say it wasn't so. Owen wailed, hugging Izzy and saying that he didn't want to, but he didn't have a choice. Izzy, talking in the first person for a change, coolly told him that she understood, trying to hide her hurt. She quickly reverted to her zany self, leaping onto the Boat of Losers and being officially eliminated from TDI.
Izzy: 4 (DJ, Leshawna, Owen, Tyler)
DJ: 3 (Courtney, Eva, Izzy)
Owen: 3 (Heather, Lindsay, Sadie)
Merge: Courtney, DJ, Eva, Heather, Leshawna, Lindsay, Owen, Sadie, Tyler
Eliminated: Courtney (1), Justin, Noah, Gwen, Katie, Bridgette, Izzy (1), Cody, Beth, Geoff, Trent, Harold, Duncan, Ezekiel, Izzy (2)
Owen was pretty beat up over Izzy's elimination, spending the night crying about it. DJ comforted him, saying that if they didn't work with Leshawna on that vote, one of them was probably going home, and it was probably gonna be Owen. Owen said he didn't care, he just missed Izzy too much. Tyler felt really bad about voting off Owen's crush, giving a confessional in which he said that he couldn't imagine himself doing something like that to Lindsay.
On the girls side, Sadie had fully embraced Heather and agreed to join her alliance with Lindsay. Heather graciously took her in, almost promoting her over Lindsay in terms of treatment. Courtney scoffed at this, telling Sadie that Heather was just using her, but Sadie didn't believe her for a second, calling her a chicken as she left with Heather.
Today's challenge was bike building. Some campers, like Leshawna, Sadie, and Tyler, struggled, while others, such as Courtney and Lindsay, excelled. Owen was far too depressed to work well, spending most of his time stuffing his face rather than building a sturdy bike. DJ's bike was made extra safe due to the fact he couldn't ride a bike, which he revealed to Eva. Heather had made Lindsay build her bike using an engine from Chef's road hog, upsetting Lindsay since she didn't have much time to build her own bike.
In a rather mean twist, the first part of the challenge was a qualifying round in which the campers would race someone else's bike instead of their own. They were assigned the following:
Courtney got DJ's ultra safe bike.
DJ got Owen's Gloom Machine.
Eva got Lindsay's Sunshine Sally.
Heather got Leshawna's shoddy bike.
Leshawna got Tyler's even shoddier bike.
Lindsay got Heather's motor-powered bike.
Owen got Sadie's dull-looking bike.
Sadie got Eva's athletically-inclined speed demon of a bike.
and Tyler was left with Courtney's by-the-book bike.
Chris blew the airhorn and the racers were off. Sadie got off to a fast start that unfortunately was unsustainable, as the small bike frame made it harder to maintain balance. She crashed hard, getting a wicked sand burn in the process. Eva was leading the pack, infuriated that she had to drive Lindsay's hyper feminine bike but still crushing the competition. Behind her, DJ was slowly getting over his anxiety, though he hadn't removed any of his armor. He was peddling along just fine until Owen's Gloom Machine fell apart. Ya see, Owen's low mood led to him forgetting to include the bolts in the bike. DJ fell to the ground in a heap, causing Courtney, Heather, and Owen to all crash into him.
The rest of the race was uneventful, allowing Eva, Leshawna, Lindsay, and Tyler to all cross the finish line. Eva celebrated, assuming she won immunity, until Chris revealed that the bikes the did cross the finish line would now be driven by their builders in elimination round. Tyler reiterated elimination round, where Chris revealed that the builders of the crashed bikes were now officially safe from going home tonight, as last place would be auto-eliminated. Courtney and Heather both became pissed at this, wondering why they were getting screwed for building stable bikes, but Chris didn't care.
The final race was up, with Courtney, Heather, Lindsay, and Tyler all competing to not get eliminated. The first obstacle was navigating through landmines, which poor Tyler couldn't scrape past if his life depended on it. He ate the first land mine, sending him spiraling into the sand in a cloud of smoke.
The next challenge was navigating oil slick. Courtney, who'd raced ahead of the pack, looked to be cruising until she accidentally oversteered. She went careening into the oil, getting coated in the substance. Lindsay had popped a wheelie through the oil, clearing a path for Heather to pass through unscathed.
The last challenge was to jump across a piranha pit. Lindsay tried to make it all the way across, but the edge of her bike got caught. Heather activated her motor and sailed over Lindsay's head, finishing the race and gaining immunity. Lindsay unlodged her bike and crossed the line, celebrating with Heather until Chris revealed some tragic news.
Since both Courtney and Tyler had wiped out, they'd never finished the race, meaning they were technically disqualified. Lindsay's happiness turned into horror as Chris told her that since she was the last camper to cross the line, she was the one going home. Those on the sidelines vehemently protested this outcome and Lindsay herself begged Heather to give her her immunity, hoping she'd be saved.
Heather refused, leading to the most iconic moment in Total Drama history when Lindsay cussed Heather out. The full rant had to be censored in a majority of public releases, though apparently Romania has left it uncensored. Lindsay wrapped it up and left Heather stunned as Leshawna cheered her on. Sadie gave a confessional, saying that she was unsure if partnering up with Heather was the right move, but she brushed her own anxiety off by saying that Lindsay must have just been overwhelmed.
Lindsay gave everyone big hugs as she boarded the Boat of Losers, the biggest to Tyler who also got a few kisses out of it. Tyler swore he'd take down Heather for Lindsay, who kissed him again and told him she'd root for him back home. She stopped to tell Sadie that Heather isn't who she seems before hugging the fat girl. Lastly, she told Heather that karma was coming for her and to not keep her waiting. Heather paled at Lindsay boarded the boat, bidding adieu to her longest tenured ally.
Lindsay: Last place
Merge: Courtney, DJ, Eva, Heather, Leshawna, Owen, Sadie, Tyler
Eliminated: Courtney (1), Justin, Noah, Gwen, Katie, Bridgette, Izzy (1), Cody, Beth, Geoff, Trent, Harold, Duncan, Ezekiel, Izzy (2), Lindsay
The Final 8 were treated to a movie! Ha, of course it wasn't a treat, have you seen this show?
The horror movie didn't affect Eva at all, but petrified DJ, Sadie, and Tyler. Owen was definitely unnerved, Courtney tried to act nonchalant but was definitely jumpier than normal, and Heather and Leshawna both were more or less indifferent. Sadie tried her best to not blubber, but she was unable to hold in her fear. Heather tried to act supportive, but she unfortunately couldn't care less. Courtney actually did help Sadie calm down, getting a thank you from the fat girl and a thumbs up from Owen and Tyler.
The cast ran down to the dock after hearing a boat horn, seeing Chris and Chef taking off and conveniently forgetting a backpack. Courtney picked it up and noticed a newspaper slip out, reading to the campers that there was an escaped psycho killer with a chainsaw and a hook heading for the island. Heather scoffed at this, not buying the newspaper for a minute. Though, after Sadie started wigging out, Heather forced herself to take it seriously for Sadie's sake.
Courtney gathered everyone around the campfire, making a chart of the remaining campers left "alive". As she listed the rules for survival, she noticed that Owen was missing. When asked, Eva said that Owen left to retrieve something from the cabins.
Right as Owen went to open the cabin door, he heard a chainsaw rev behind him. The big guy freaked out, sprinting as fast as he could as Chef chased after him. They ran and ran and ran until Owen fell over a cliff edge, getting comically injured in the process. He then ran away from Chef once more, finding himself in Chris' tent.
Back at camp, Heather had left to go do skincare, much to Sadie's chagrin. It hadn't helped that Courtney had also crossed out Heather, which was not soothing Sadie whatsoever. Soon after, DJ went to take a leak and took Tyler with him.
Once inside, DJ poked around the bathroom, entirely paranoid. He came across Heather shaving her legs with a facemask, freaking him out so much that he ran through a fucking wall to escape. DJ ran screaming all the way to the production tent, safe from the killer. Speaking of the killer, he was currently tailing Tyler, who was walking through the woods, completely oblivious to his follower and only focused on getting some ice cream. He was quickly captured. Heather was also captured shortly after, completely defenseless in her robe.
The bonfire had dwindled down to just Courtney and Eva, as Sadie was starting to get hungry and begged someone to go with her, which Leshawna agreed to do because she was getting hungry herself. Courtney asked Eva what her plan was with the money if she won, as did Eva to Courtney. As Eva asked, she pointed a flaming stick at Courtney, inadvertently burning her chart. Courtney ran to put out the fire while Eva became summoned to the dock by the psycho. Seeing everyone gone, Courtney gave up, going for a sandwich.
At the kitchen, Leshawna and Sadie were both captured almost immediately. Leshawna did try to put up a fight, but she didn't stand much of a chance.
Eva had reached the dock, staring Psycho Chef down. They engaged in a lengthy fight, culminating in Eva stealing Chef's chainsaw and demasking him, showing up to the production tent to claim her win. However, Owen pointed out that Courtney was facing a psycho in the kitchen. Chris and Chef freaked out as all the campers ran back to the Mess Hall to warn her.
The campers burst through the Mess Hall to save Courtney, revealing that the psycho she was trashing was real. Courtney flipped out, assaulting the killer until he finally left. Because of this, Chris decided to bestow immunity unto both Courtney and Eva.
This immunity was irrelevant though, as Chris had the sole vote that night and chose to eliminate DJ, the only camper who wasn't "killed" by Chef. Owen called for a group hug and DJ left with his head held high. He made sure to let Leshawna know about what he thought Heather did to Ezekiel and Sadie, which Leshawna nodded to and thanked DJ for the info.
DJ: Weakest death
Merge: Courtney, Eva, Heather, Leshawna, Owen, Sadie, Tyler
Eliminated: Courtney (1), Justin, Noah, Gwen, Katie, Bridgette, Izzy (1), Cody, Beth, Geoff, Trent, Harold, Duncan, Ezekiel, Izzy (2), Lindsay, DJ
Sadie and Tyler were both bummed to see DJ go, though Sadie was more vocal about it. She clung to Heather even more, not feeling connected to anyone else besides Heather. Heather tried her best to feign kindness, but she was encroaching on her limit. Heather gave a confessional wishing that Sadie would've been eliminated instead of Lindsay, saying that Sadie is so much worse than the blonde bimbo.
Leshawna watched Heather's treatment of Sadie, starting to see what DJ may have been talking about in his elimination from the last night.
The campers were called to the elimination ceremony and told to dig through a trash bag to select an animal.
Courtney landed a raccoon.
Eva got a beaver.
Heather had a bear.
Leshawna had a frog.
Owen got a chipmunk.
Sadie had to capture a duck.
and Tyler was tasked with a deer.
The teens were given a minute in the boathouse to gather supplies and got items of varying help. Courtney snagged a net, Eva opted for a chainsaw, Heather found a pair of antlers, Leshawna grabbed a bucket, Owen took nothing, Sadie found duck bait, and Tyler took a tranq gun.
Heather had barely tried to find her bear, wandering through the forest miserable about her probable loss. She was found by Sadie, who was super excited to see her. She started gabbing to Heather, which Heather tried to ignore but couldn't. They walked and walked and walked but Sadie just wouldn't shut up, causing Heather to snap on Sadie, begging her to shut up. Sadie sniffled and said she was sorry to bother Heather, running off crying. Heather cursed under her breath, realizing she might've just lost her last ally.
Owen was struggling a lot with his chipmunk. He kept getting punked by the little rodent, hilariously failing at snagging the small creature. Tyler shot randomly at anything he saw moving, hoping to nail a deer. He never did end up hitting one, but he did hit Eva. Eva wasn't K.O.'d , but she was certainly more groggy than normal. She yelled tiredly at Tyler before walking off, looking for her beaver.
Courtney had found her raccoon and was trying to lure it closer to trap it in her net, but she was swiftly ambushed by an army of raccoon forming a mech. Courtney screamed and sprinted away, panicked.
The only person who had any success was Leshawna, who did get a little dirty during her task, but still managed to get her frog in the bucket and then the cage.
As the day went on, more campers trickled in with their animals. As in more, I mean three more. Courtney dumped in her raccoon next, followed by Sadie chucking her duck bait into the cage that the duck followed, and finally culminating with Owen throwing in his chipmunk and accidentally locking himself in the cage, getting ambushed by the animals.
Eva, Heather, and Tyler all came back empty handed, tasked with cleaning the bathrooms.
Now, who to vote off? Heather had a good idea. She pulled together Owen and Sadie and suggested voting off Eva, saying that she's too powerful to continue. Owen nodded immediately, but Sadie was hesitant to listen to Heather after their interaction earlier that day. Though, after Heather became meaner and sharper, Sadie soon caved. Heather went off to find Courtney and floated her the same idea, which she agreed with, under the condition that Courtney wouldn't be targeted until the Final Four, which Heather agreed to. With her fingers crossed, of course.
With four votes against her, a still groggy Eva was sent off. She tried to assault Tyler before leaving but ran out of steam chasing him. While she was down, Chef strapped her in a straitjacket and chucked her on the Boat of Losers, leaving the island down to six.
Eva: 4 (Courtney, Heather, Owen, Sadie)
Heather: 2 (Leshawna, Tyler)
Tyler: 1 (Eva)
Merge: Courtney, Heather, Leshawna, Owen, Sadie, Tyler
Eliminated: Courtney (1), Justin, Noah, Gwen, Katie, Bridgette, Izzy (1), Cody, Beth, Geoff, Trent, Harold, Duncan, Ezekiel, Izzy (2), Lindsay, DJ, Eva
Here they were, the Final Six.
Courtney, the Type A. She was the first camper eliminated off the island but wouldn't let that stand, finding a neat bit of misinformation in the contracts they signed and suing her way back onto the show. She'd had a big run in the merge, getting rid of Duncan as soon as she came back. Her deal with Heather had secured her a spot in the Final Four, and she was ready to kick everyone's butts the whole way down.
Heather, the Queen Bee. Heather had played ruthlessly and extremely cold-heartedly, hopping between allies when she found it necessary and sniping big threats when applicable. She'd taken out Justin and Gwen before they became too dangerous and had leapt from Beth to Lindsay to Sadie, allowing her to maintain a solid ally the whole time. Add in Owen, and Heather felt secure with her spot, just needing to take out Leshawna and Tyler before she felt fully confident.
Leshawna, the Sister with Tude. Leshawna was on the outs of the Gophers for a while, losing the two people she actually liked (Gwen and Trent) rather quickly. The merge was a blessing for her, allowing her to hide in plain sight behind bigger threats like Duncan, Eva, and Heather. All she wanted was to take down Heather and sail smoothly to an easy finale win against anyone not named Courtney.
Owen, the Big Guy. Owen had played a jovial game, never at any real threat of elimination since the Big Sleep. He'd skirted by under Heather's wing and planned to ride that out as long as he could, doing his best to have a good time while he played.
Sadie, the Nice Girl's Friend. Sadie was never seen as anything more than Katie's friend, but she'd made the Final Six and was lucky enough to be liked by everyone on the island except Heather, who saw her as an important ally. After Katie's elimination, Sadie managed to fly by under the radar and had made a friend in Ezekiel. Just as she really started to like like him, Heather kissed the homeschooler. Without anyone else, she clung to Heather desperately. Everyone felt bad for her, but also believed she'd be the perfect finale opponent.
Tyler, the Failure Jock. Tyler had gone seriously unnoticed by his team and played a very quiet game in the merge. He really was just Lindsay's boyfriend until Lindsay was eliminated, after which Tyler tried his best to become a machine. He hadn't had much success, but he was trying all the same. He planned to get retribution for Lindsay and let his "athleticism" take him all the way to the finals.
The Final Six were set up to compete in a triathlon of three arms. Courtney and Owen were paired up, as were Leshawna and Tyler, and finally Heather and Sadie. Before they started, Heather ordered Sadie to keep up and not slow her down. Sadie timidly agreed, telling Heather she'd make her proud that day.
The first challenge was an eating contest. Can you guess who won? Hint, their names rhyme with Portney and Bowen. Courtney and Owen took a quick lead, celebrating as they headed towards the first challenge. Heather complained that Sadie couldn't eat fast enough, and Sadie just timidly said sorry. Leshawna was similarly aggravated, but mostly because Tyler fed too fast.
The boat over to Boney Island was pretty quiet for most teams. Courtney told Owen not to talk but just to focus on winning, saying that's what Izzy would want. Sadie tried to talk to Heather, but she shut it down and told Sadie to just paddle. Leshawna and Tyler did actually get a chummy conversation going, mostly due to Tyler asking how Lindsay was on the Gophers. Leshawna asked Tyler if he wanted to team up and go to the finale, but Tyler didn't commit just yet, saying he just wanted to play a good game.
Courtney and Owen made it to the island first and also found the cave first, but a spider landing on Owen's face caused him to freak out and run away. Next to show were Leshawna and Tyler, but Tyler whiffed the throw, causing Leshawna to run them off to retrieve their tiki piece. Last up was Heather on Sadie's back. She barked at Sadie to get closer to the cave faster before Leshawna and Tyler got back, but Sadie was exhausted. She managed to get Heather in reasonable range so that she could throw it in, though Sadie soon collapsed.
Cut to the beach of Boney Island with the three teams presented with 18 wooden heads of the previously eliminated campers. Courtney was noticeably uneasy at seeing her own wood head. The teams were told to assemble a tower of failure, going from last place Courtney to most recently eliminated Eva.
Courtney did her best, having the elimination order memorized thanks to her time on the playa. However, she got screwed over by Owen, who kept bumbling and accidentally knocking over their tower, along with hogging Izzy's heads because of his crush. Sadie moved slowly due to her exhaustion, but she still moved. Heather helped occasionally, though she spent more time insulting the eliminated campers. The only two who worked well were Leshawna and Tyler, mostly because Leshawna had the order recalled except for a few Bass that Tyler helped to fill her in on.
As the teams built, Heather's insults started to dig under Sadie's skin. Heather insulting Katie for being useless definitely did not go over well with Sadie, pissing her off enough to yell at Heather before she started working again. Ultimately, the nail in the coffin was Heather insulting Ezekiel, calling him a two-timing homeschooling weasel. That sent Sadie over the edge. She screamed at Heather for being so mean the past few days and for saying rude things about those she loved. She stomped over to Chris to demand the wimp key, but she was stopped when Leshawna and Tyler finished their tower. With each team having a point, no one was granted immunity and everyone was left in the running.
Heather was looking pretty cooked, but she came up with one last pitch. She gathered Leshawna, Owen, and Tyler, despite Leshawna and Tyler's hatred for her. She acknowledged that they were far from friends, but she needed their help tonight. She argued that she, them three, and Sadie had all played the whole game and had a fair run. Leshawna asked if she seriously was going to pull this card, and Heather nodded that she would.
Heather said that Courtney got a free pass to the later stages and had been playing amazingly so far. Heather reasoned that if she kept going, she might waltz into an easy $100,000 that they all deserved more than her. They all mulled this over, but couldn't deny Heather's point. It hadn't been fair that Courtney got a second chance, and she couldn't be allowed to win.
Courtney was baffled to have to walk the dock once more, all but set in the fact that Heather was going home. Courtney tried to keep her calm, but she threw a massive tantrum over being eliminated. She dropped any sort of nice girl act, going full nutso and leaving the island in a ball of fire.
Courtney: 4 (Heather, Leshawna, Owen, Tyler)
Heather: 2 (Courtney, Sadie)
Merge: Heather, Leshawna, Owen, Sadie, Tyler
Eliminated: Courtney (1), Justin, Noah, Gwen, Katie, Bridgette, Izzy (1), Cody, Beth, Geoff, Trent, Harold, Duncan, Ezekiel, Izzy (2), Lindsay, DJ, Eva, Courtney (2)
The Final Five were hardly featured this episode, as instead the show pulled back to fill the viewers in on what happened after the Dock of Shame.
The Playa de Losers was bumping, despite a fuming Courtney still cooling off. Bridgette and Geoff had hit it off in the peace of the playa, enjoying their stay off the island. Harold had been whining about the injustice and dishonorableness of Duncan rigging him out, which Duncan didn't really care about, though others like Beth, Cody, and Trent all sided with Harold. Katie was also shunning Ezekiel despite DJ's pleas, assuming Ezekiel was still a two timer.
Day fell to night and the losers were told they would be choosing who was to leave the island next. Katie was asked first, and she said that she missed her BFFL Sadie the most. Ezekiel agreed with her, although Katie didn't acknowledge them. Everyone was appalled that they were voting off their favorite Final Five member, but before they knew it, Sadie had tallied a massive amount of votes.
The BFFL was dumbfounded to be out, no amount of Katie hugging her could soothe her from being upset after having just stood up to Heather and now having to be back with Ezekiel.
Sadie: Shenanigans
Merge: Heather, Leshawna, Owen, Tyler
Eliminated: Courtney (1), Justin, Noah, Gwen, Katie, Bridgette, Izzy (1), Cody, Beth, Geoff, Trent, Harold, Duncan, Ezekiel, Izzy (2), Lindsay, DJ, Eva, Courtney (2), Sadie
The Final Four was set. Heather, Leshawna, Owen, and Tyler were now three campers from the grand prize.
The planned challenge was scrapped after a tropical storm blasted Camp Wawanakwa. Heather, Leshawna, and Tyler washed away together while Owen, who was giving a confessional, drifted away by himself.
Heather, Leshawna, and Tyler were forced to work together and survive in the wild, Leshawna growing rather frustrated at both Heather and Tyler for their lack of skills. After a while of struggling, a manic Owen washed ashore with a coconut he called Mr. Coconut, ordering everyone else to call the inanimate object by Owen's chosen name. The foursome were soon chased into a conveniently placed treehouse by wild geese, taking the time to share their darkest secrets with one another.
Owen soon came up with a plan to charge the geese with weapons, which the other three bafflingly agreed to do. They left their safety and charged towards a smoke signal, finding no geese but Chris and Chef instead. Chris revealed that this entire day was just an incident, but there would still be an elimination.
Chris gave marshmallows to every camper, causing Owen to beg Chris not to do it. Chris yanked Mr. Coconut out of Owen's hands, eliminating the fruit.
Mr. Coconut: 1 (Chris)
Merge: Heather, Leshawna, Owen, Tyler
Eliminated: Courtney (1), Justin, Noah, Gwen, Katie, Bridgette, Izzy (1), Cody, Beth, Geoff, Trent, Harold, Duncan, Ezekiel, Izzy (2), Lindsay, DJ, Eva, Courtney (2), Sadie
The real Final Four challenge was a rehash of the camping challenge that eliminated Katie, Chris finding it fitting to do it again after the other twin had just been booted. Chef was left in charge though, dumping the sleeping kids in the middle of the forest with nothing but a survival pack. They were split by gender, which Heather and Leshawna both hated.
Since Heather and Leshawna spent their first, oh I don't know, five hours or so just yelling at each other, they struggled to make camp. On the boys side, things were tranquil. Owen and Tyler had no beef and had hardly interacted with one another since the cruise, so they were sailing pretty smoothly, their lack of brains helping smooth things over. However, since they had the combined brain capacity of a fifth grader, the two struggled to set up any camp.
After setting up camp, both teams decided to sabotage the other. Heather and Leshawna both had no issues robbing from the guys, but Owen had his reservations. Since Heather was on the other team, Tyler had no such qualms, insisting that Owen take it to the EXTREME and help him rob Heather. Owen eventually caved, though he made it known that he wasn't a fan of doing this. The teams went after this for a while until the boys had a run in with the infamous monster Sasquatchanakwa. Tyler was trampled pretty roughly, leaving Owen to him scrape up.
Owen came to the girls with Tyler slung over his shoulder, offering to split supplies if they could spend the night together. The girls were hesitant, but after hearing Tyler was messed up by Sasquatchanakwa, they gave in.
Night turned to day and Tyler shoved Owen awake. The big guy woke up to an empty campground, frowning at the site. Tyler tried to get them to run, but Tyler was way too messed up to actually get going. Owen picked him up once more and booked it back to camp.
The race wasn't a close one. Heather and Leshawna were reclining in lawn chairs by the totem pole when Owen and Tyler showed up. The girls had just finished scarfing on sticky buns and, as Heather saw the boys, she got up and tagged the pole, securing the girls immunity.
That left the boys to be eliminated, but they were called to elimination before even having cast a vote. When Chef was asked, he revealed to the contestants that he had the choice of who got to make Final Three. Owen and Tyler both shared a nervous glance, but only Tyler had to worry. Chef sent the klutz packing, arguing that he'd been a total failure since showing up seven weeks ago, messing up time and time again which almost resulted in Owen getting eliminated.
Owen shared a high five with Tyler as he walked off and Leshawna and Tyler shared a moment where Tyler encouraged her to "do it for Lindsay". Tyler boarded the boat as Heather congratulated her former teammates on their finale status.
Tyler: 1 (Chef)
Merge: Heather, Leshawna, Owen
Eliminated: Courtney (1), Justin, Noah, Gwen, Katie, Bridgette, Izzy (1), Cody, Beth, Geoff, Trent, Harold, Duncan, Ezekiel, Izzy (2), Lindsay, DJ, Eva, Courtney (2), Sadie, Tyler
The Final Three were geared up and ready to go. But man, were they in for a rough one.
Heather was locked in. She knew that she needed to win immunity today to get rid of Leshawna, knowing that without it, she was screwed. She continued to burn any last bridges she had left and get the last laugh over the one thorn in her side her whole run.
Leshawna was similarly dialed. She knew without immunity that she was going home, so she was going to do everything in her power to send Heather home. Her loud and proud style had won her multiple merge challenges, and she was ready to avenge her fallen Gophers, along with all those who were used by Heather.
Owen was worried about literally nothing. No matter what happened today, he was going to the finale. He played a happy game and tried his best not to get involved in voting politics, not making any enemies en route to his more-than-likely finale berth.
Their challenge was to complete dares given to them by the previously eliminated campers. They would be dangerous, gross, and potentially life-threatening. The first camper to use up all their Freebies and fail to complete a dare would be auto-eliminated, no vote off.
Owen was hyped as soon as the challenge started, ready to take all the dares he could. Heather and Leshawna were both less thrilled, but Leshawna's higher pain tolerance and proclivity for gross things gave her a solid edge.
After twenty dares each, Heather was fresh out of Freebies, Leshawna had a couple, and Owen was up to 21. Leshawna asked Owen to cut her in on his Freebies, saying they could go to the finale together. Owen said sure, giving Leshawna half his stock. With this, Heather was screwed.
Heather put up a truly great fight. She did every single dare sent her way by Leshawna and Owen, absorbing an insane amount of pain along the way. However, she had no way to get out of Lindsay's dare, which was to have her head shaved. In a blind panic, Heather kicked Chef's hand as he neared with the razor, hoping to save her locks. Unfortunately, the razor went spiraling right back down onto Heather's head, shaving her near bald. Double unfortunately, since she hadn't technically accepted the dare, she was out.
Heather screamed her whole way off the island as Leshawna and Owen cheered, finally free of Heather.
Heather: Head shaved
Finalists: Leshawna, Owen
Eliminated: Courtney (1), Justin, Noah, Gwen, Katie, Bridgette, Izzy (1), Cody, Beth, Geoff, Trent, Harold, Duncan, Ezekiel, Izzy (2), Lindsay, DJ, Eva, Courtney (2), Sadie, Tyler, Heather
The Finale was set.
Leshawna, the loud, proud, sassy sister. The girl from the ghetto had come a long way since being on the outs of the Gophers. She lost a cool girl in Gwen quickly, rightfully assuming that Heather was evil. Leshawna made it her mission to get her out, but she just couldn't deal with all the bad luck that came her way during the team phase. She was nearly taken out when it was down to just her, Lindsay, Owen, and Heather, but she pulled through to the merge. She played a quiet merge and let the drama of the other campers skate by her. She formed an alliance with DJ, Owen, and Tyler to help them all stay afloat, and she'd even managed to take an alliance member with her to the finals. She was in it to win, and was extremely vocal about her confidence.
Owen, the fun loving big boy. Owen's time on Total Drama had been, as he put it, awesome. He'd made friends with practically everyone that came into contact with him and was really never at any major threat to go home since Justin's elimination. Though he didn't dominate any merge challenges like Leshawna did, his social game was top tier. He was intent on having fun in the final challenge and taking home the big bucks, with plans to throw a giant party for the entire cast. Yes, including Heather.
The twenty eliminated campers were brought back to root for their preferred finalist.
Leshawna was cheered on by Beth, Courtney, DJ, Eva, Gwen, Harold, and Trent.
Bridgette, Cody, Duncan, Ezekiel, Geoff, Heather, Izzy, Justin, Katie, Lindsay, Sadie, and Tyler all supported Owen.
The battle for $100,00 was a tough one. The two were tasked with ascending a pole for a flag, tightroping over a gorge to return an egg to an eagle's nest, and finally sprinting down a straightaway towards the finish line. Leshawna had Harold and Trent running with her while Owen was urged on by Geoff, Heather, and Izzy.
It was a close race, and each finalist pulled ahead of the other several times. In the end, only one crossed the line first.
Who won? That's for you to decide

Woah what a quick update! Yea, Zeke not saying anything sexist changes a LOT. Did Sadie overstay her welcome? I honestly enjoyed her having a deep run into the game, and also Sadekiel? That was not planned but the idea popped into my head so I ran with it.
Also, would really like to know, do y'all want continuations of these scenarios? Like sending them into Action and WT? I've enjoyed these scenarios and would love to explore them more in depth if y'all like that idea.
One more thing, I am currently working on "What if Sierra was eliminated in I See London..." and "What if Amy was a good sister to Sammy?", I just enjoy doing Island what if's more. I may end up doing two versions of the Amy/Sammy thing, you'll see why.
As always, I'm accepting all requests, though tbh if it's an Island recommendation it's probably more likely to be done. Keep the reviews comin', feedback is super important!
Until next time, shuppyer out.
