The Temple In The Lake

After making her preparations, Carmen went down to the kitchen.

Unknown to Lisa, Carmen was watching her make Camen's special coin.

"Sorry to peek at that coin, Lisa." Carmen said.

"I only make the trial coins for those of whom are a part of our gypsy band," Lisa told Carmen. "there are many gypsy bands out there."

"I know." Carmen said.

A few hours later, Carmen was riding her mountain bike toward the temple.

Back at Rafael and Lisa's trailer, Rafael was pacing back and forth nervously.

"Where is she? Carmen should have been home by now." Rafael said.

"Stop pacing, Darling," Lisa said to Rafael. "you will wear a hole in the floor if you continue pacing like that."

Carmen entered the lounge with her gypsy coin in hand, "I am ready for my sixth and final trial, Brother." she said, handing the coin to Rafael.

"Carm! You had me worried!" Rafael exclaimed.

"Like I said before," Carmen said. "I am ready for my sixth and final trial."

"Not so fast there, Canonball Carmen," Lisa said. "you're taking a break!"

"Yes, Lisa." Carmen sighed.

Carmen went down the hall to get ready for bed in her bedroom.

The next day was a bright and sunny one as Carmen went outside to check up on Lady Louise.

The veterinarian, Doctor Carole Lenoir-Hanson was inspecting Lisa's prized mare.

"They are both fine, Carmen." Doctor Lenoir-Hanson said as Lisa came out of the costume tent with a basket full of dirty costumes in her hands.

"'Both?' Lisa," Carmen asked. "what does Doctor Carole mean by 'both'?"

Lisa chuckled, "Lady Louise is pregnant... with Diablo's foal." she answered Carmen.

Carmen was surprised by this piece of news.

"Can I help out with it?" Carmen asked excitedly.

"I would not expect anything less from my assistant." Carole said to Carmen.

"Does this mean what I think it means?" Carmen asked, looking over at Lisa.

Lisa grinned widely.

"That's right, when you're not working on your trials for the remainder of your summer holiday," Lisa said to Carmen proudly. "you will be a vet in training! Your work study has been approved!"
