Hey, I hope you like this chapter sorry that it is short.
As I followed my dad into the house, the small wolf trailed behind me. We all went into the dining room where a few plates with steamed broccoli and grilled hotdogs in buns laid on the table. My stomach growled in hunger and the wolf playfully yipped at me. Then it ran towards the table through my legs. Charlie chuckled at the enthusiasm of the little wolf. he smirked at me and wiggled his eyebrows as if to tease me about it. I growled and stalked to my room. I shut the door and shifted back into my human form.
I put on a fresh pair of clothes and began to walk back down to the dining room. As I entered, I noticed that the wolf is no longer there. "Hey, where did the wolf go?" I ask as I tap my fingers on the table. Charlie chuckles. "She left to go back home." He answered as he handed me a fresh plate. For some reason my heart dropped into my stomach and even though I felt hungry, I could no longer bring myself to eat. "Eat now, before your food gets cold." Charlie says in a mocking mom voice, and I smile. I manage to force myself to eat everything on my plate while talking to Charlie about my day at school.
"So have you made any new friends?" Charlie asks and I blush at the thought of the girl I had met earlier. He grins once he sees my reaction. "Looks like you have a little bit of a crush Bells." He says in an overly cheery tone. I want to throw my water at him, but his comment makes me blush harder. "What is this kid's name." he asks as he wiggles his eyebrows suggestively. "Leah." I answer as I look at my plate to avoid his stare.
"Oh, I know her. she is a very nice girl." He responds and then we stopped talking for the rest of the meal. After he finished, I cleared of the table and washed the dishes. while I did so he turned on the tv to watch the news. Once I had finished with the dishes, I managed to slip upstairs without alerting him. As I laid in my bed my thoughts kept going back to Leah. Even my mind swoons when I think of her. My mind keeps going back to her delicious lips that I could her striking eyes that could pierce through steel.
I keep think about how beautiful she looked today even though she wasn't trying to. I eventually drift off into my mind once more and into a dream. I was in the woods again and beside me was the little wolf, we were hunting a deer together. As we both ran, I felt the pounding of my heart in my chest and the pound heart of her, The wolf's heart as well. In this moment I felt whole, like I am unbroken as I run beside her. As I leap for the deer's throat, the dream ends, and I wake up in my bed by myself with a shadow perched on the tree outside my window. But before I can react, I drift back off to sleep once more.
