Chapter 14 - Mecha Star
G.U.N Headquarters, Mobius
At the G.U.N Headquarters back on Mobius, we find the G.U.N Commander doing some paperwork in his office. He just finished signing the last piece of paperwork, when he heard a knock on his door.
"Come in." said the Commander, as a G.U.N solider walk into the room, saluted to him and spoke, "Commander, there are some people here who want to speak to you sir."
"Who?"
"Their names are Janna Ordonia, Moon Butterfly, and Eclipsa Butterfly sir."
The G.U.N Commander remembered Janna Ordonia from yesterday after the Solarian Warrior attack at Speed Highway, and he only heard about both Eclipsa and Moon from Janna, Marco, and Star.
"Alright, let them in." The solider step outside of the office and allow Eclipsa, Janna, and Moon to enter the Commander's office.
"Well it's nice to see you again Ms. Janna, and you two much be Moon Butterfly and Eclipsa Butterfly, what's brings you to Mobius?"
"Well Commander, we need G.U.N's help in stopping the Solarian Warriors." answered Eclipsa.
Mecha Star Chamber, Solarian Base, New Mewni
Back inside the Solarian Base. Star, Sonic, and Tails stare in shock at Mecha Star, bulky robot version of Star Butterfly which the bulky appearance remind Sonic of Mecha Sonic, the one Dr. Eggman used on the Death Egg years ago.
"Is that... a robot version of... me?" asked Star as she stares in shock at her bulky robot counterpart, then Sonic replied, "Yes, that is a robot version of you." that's when they can hear Eggman Nega's voice coming from the speakers above them.
"HOHOHOHOHO, what do you think of my new creation, I call it Mecha Star, this robot is based on you Star Butterfly with designs similar to Mecha Sonic. It can't use magic like you, but I sure that it can destroy you HAHAHAHAHA!"
"Mecha Star?" whispered Tails as Mecha Star raise both of its arms and began shooting laser projectiles at our heroes and use its rocket boosters to move itself forward towards Star, Sonic, and Tails who quickly moved out of the way. Then Mecha Star turned around and move back towards the over end of the room.
"Be careful Star, if this Mecha Star is similar to Mecha Sonic I faced years ago, its attack patterns are the same as Mecha Sonic." yelled Sonic and then a small lightning bolt flew pass Sonic, and they all turn to find the lightning bolt came from one of Mecha Star's robot hands which Tails added "With a Star Butterfly twist to its attacks. Eggman Nega wanted to make Mecha Star's abilities would be almost similar to your abilities Star."
"Oh boy, I never thought I would never fight a robot version of me." said a worried Star then she quickly moves out of the way to avoid getting rammed by Mecha Star while Marco and the rest of our heroes, and Dr. Eggman can only watch the battle unfolds.
"Is that Star Butterfly fighting a robot version of herself?" asked Tom who Marco replied, "I think it called 'Mecha Star' and its abilities is a mimic of Star's abilities."
"I'll admit, I'm impress know Eggman Nega use my old Mecha Sonic mk.1 design and make it based on Star's appearance and abilities." said Dr. Eggman as he secretly pulls out an audio recorder and whispered to it, "Note to self, build my own Mecha Star when I get back to Mobius."
"GO B-FLY, KICK THAT ROBOT DOPPLERGANGER'S BUTT, DON'T LET THAT ROBOT YOU MAKE A MONKEY OUT OF YOU!" shouted Pony Head as they saw Mecha Star managed to grab Tails and threw him at the wall as Sonic spin dash at it, pushing the robot back. Then Pony Head said, 'Oh that's got to hurt, he'll feel that in the morning."
Back inside the chamber, Sonic, Tails, and Star run around the chamber, dodging Mecha Star's attacks while laying a few hits on the robot. Sonic remembered how hard it was to avoid Mecha Sonic's attacks back on the Death Egg and even though Mecha Star doesn't shoot out spikes, Mecha Star's attacks like Mecha Sonic's attack look like a cake walk which Sonic smiles who is liking that this fight is more challenging than those Solarian Warriors who can be easily knock out.
"You know, this Mecha Star starting to grow on me, this robot is far more challenging than everything we been through."
"Sonic, save the compliment AFTER my robot counterpart is not trying to kill us." yelled Star while using a large magic shield to protect herself, Tails, and Sonic from Mecha Star' lightning bolt shots, then Tails spoke up, "That robot can take a lot more beating than Mecha Sonic, if we can't defeat Mecha Star by normal means, then we'll have to defeat it the Star Butterfly way. Star do you know any powerful spells or any spells that could short circuit Mecha Star?"
"Actually, there are a few spells that could be powerful enough to short circuit Mecha Star, but I need a distraction."
"One distraction coming up." said Sonic and he speed around and behind Mecha Star.
"HEY MECHA STAR!" shouted Sonic wanting the robot to focus on him. "Your attacks are so weak, I bet the real Star Butterfly could beat you any day of the week." Mecha Star stop shooting lightning bolts and turn to face Sonic. "What the matter faker, did I hurt your feelings?" then Mecha Star began moving towards Sonic while shooting lasers and lightning bolts at him, but the hedgehog managed to quickly dodge the robot's attacks.
Then Star shouted one of her spells, "ROLLING THUNDER LIGHTNING BLAST" and her wand shot out a blast of thunder and lightning at Mecha Star and hit the robot which it now drew its attention at Star and move towards her as Star shouted more of her spells
"DAGGER CRYSTAL HEART ATTACK, MEGA NARWHAL BLAST, RAINBOW BLAST SHOOTING STAR EXPLOSION!"
Each spell slow down and damage Mecha Star then finally Mecha Star finally short circuit and shut down. Then Sonic spin dash and hit Mecha Star from behind with enough force to send it flying towards Star, then Star using Rainbow Fist to punch Mecha Star with enough force to send it towards the wall. Mecha Star exploded as the robot impacted the wall.
"Well I guess I can add robot doppelganger to the list of enemies I fought." said Star as suddenly the door on both ends of the room slide open and the rest of our heroes rush in and reunite with Star, Sonic, and Tails.
"Star, you did it." said Marco in excitement as he hug Star. Then Pony Head spoke up to Star. "Woah B-fly, you got some mad skills to get rid of your robot counterpart."
"Well Sonic and Tails help too." Star pointed out.
Egg Gloomfly Chamber, Solarian Base
Meanwhile Eggman Nega who was watching the whole battle on the monitor in the Egg Gloomfly cockpit in the Egg Gloomfly Chamber at the center of the base, angry that our heroes for destroying his creation Mecha Star as he slams his fist on the side of his Egg Mobile while watching our heroes exit the room on the monitor.
"Blast it, My Mecha Star, destroyed by those annoying pest! I can't wait to destroy them with Egg Gloomfly. But first they must get pass Solaria." said Eggman Nega as he is getting his Egg Gloomfly ready for the final battle.
Somewhere else in the Solarian Base
Back to our heroes. Sonic, Star and their friends once again fight their way against Eggman Nega's robots and Solarian Warriors after exiting Mecha Star's chamber and heading towards the second chamber while avoiding traps and defenses. This whole base reminds Star of Neo Scrap Brain Zone, Dr. Eggman's and Seth's industrial complex base of operations on New Mewni two months ago based on Eggman's original Scrap Brain Zone which is now abandoned and in ruins just like the original after she and Sonic defeated Dr. Eggman and Seth. She can still remember the polluted skies of that evil industrial base and she won't be surprised if Eggman Nega and Mina Loveberry salvage Neo Scrap Brain Zone for parts to build the Solarian Base.
Finally after what felt like hours, our heroes entered another metallic hallway that leads to the second chamber and like the first chamber, the Solarians and robots stopped chasing our heroes and they began to carefully walk down the hallway. When our heroes reach the door entrance to the chamber, they can tell by looking through the doorway, this chamber is decorated with banners and statues of warriors and knight standing on large pillars. But they also spotted Solaria waiting at the other end of the chamber, waiting for Star Butterfly. Star can tell that Solaria is waiting for her for one last fight between Butterflies and although do understand what she is currently feeling, but she felt she must face Solaria alone one last time. She knows that they would go any further until Solaria is defeated once and for all.
"Guys, I know you won't agree with me on this... but I must face her alone."
"WHAT! But Star-"
"Marco... this is my fight alone this time. This fight is between me and her, Butterfly vs Butterfly."
Marco didn't like the idea of Star fighting someone stronger than her alone, especially a clone of Solaria. But he can see in Star's eyes that she means it about fighting Solaria alone. She's right, this fight is between Star Butterfly and Solaria Butterfly. Star the Underestimated against Solaria the Monster Carver.
"OK Star, but please be care and make sure you come back in one piece." said Marco allow Star to walk into the chamber alone. The rest of the heroes understood Star, knowing that this battle is more about between Butterflies. Then the hidden door slide down closed cutting off Star from the rest of our heroes as she transforms her wand into a blue energy sword as Solaria raise her red energy sword.
Our heroes watch through the door's window as our villains, Eggman Nega and Mina Loveberry watch through the monitor from in the Egg Gloomfly chamber to see how this duel between Star Butterfly and Solaria Butterfly will end. Meanwhile Glossaryck watch from high above Star and the Solaria clone in the chamber and hidden to no one could see him, hoping for Star to be the victor of this battle between Butterflies.
