Getter Robo Dust
ESKK: Well, here we go the first official Chapter of Getter Robo Dust. Anyway, let's begin this shall we.
(Start many years before RWBY)
Atlas was in chaos that much was for certain as Grimm of massive size began an onslaught upon it. Some of these Titan sized Grimm had mechanical parts equipped to them as they fired and destroyed everything in their path. No one was safe from what may very well be the end of Atlas itself. Hope seemed lost as humans and Faunus alike were running away in a panic hoping to find some sort of shelter. Despite its boast of being the strongest military power in the world Atlas was without counter measures.
They never faced Grimm like this before as their airships were destroyed and millions more died with them. But then from the shadows a new voice was heard as he refused to back down. "GREAT AVALANCHE!" Came the new voice as he began his counterattack against the invading army of darkness. Arms extended into long reaching grips show out like tendrils as the force of their power was even creating gusts of wind. The Grimm were torn apart from it as their body turned to dust leaving the mechanical parts behind.
Soon from over a few Grimm remains a giant robot rolled in as despite its basic look it was clearly designed as a heavy hitter and an aquatic combatant. "GETTER MISSILES!" A powerful male voice invoked as the two missiles on the shoulders fired off hitting another Grimm but also causing collateral damage to the evacuated streets.
Soon a mechanical Wyvern Grimm flew overhead and to the shock of many dropped explosives down upon the giant robot as well as the surrounding buildings. The pilot cried out from the force but refused to back down from this battle for the fate of Atlas. More Grimm came to the crater the Robot once was for it had vanished.
But then the foot of one of the Grimm began to spin and build up before a new robot shot out with a drill left arm and a claw right arm. It appeared that it may have been the same robot but in a different conversion as it stood tall.
(Unknown Location)
"Still." Came a female voice as she observed the battle. "You still stand against me." The woman said walking to the view of the battle as she looked upon it through a Seer Grimm. "Every time I faced you Ozma either stood against me or you humans chosen by the power the Gods feared." The woman said glaring at Atlas as she knew what was being hidden there.
"Getter…. Getter Robo." Salem cursed as her crimson eyes glared upon the scene. "Time and Time again I try to master your power, but you reject me every time." She growled at the power to destroy Gods rejecting her and her revenge. "You choose these mortal every time… well if humans aren't around to be chosen then you will have no choice but to choose me." Salem said as years ago she had a taste of Getter and she desired it ever since. But if Getter refused to submit then she will force it to submit to her will.
"I should thank these humans though these mechanical Grimm serve me well. Now destroy them all force their champion out into the open." Salem said as she wanted the new Getter to show up.
(Getter Robo)
The visage of Nicholas Schnee roared out as he charged into battle head on. "SHUT YOUR BLASTED MONOLOGUE!" Nicholas roared in fury as he attacked his foes.
(Battle)
Getter Robo used its drill arm to attack multiple Grimm and piercing through them while producing giant Glyphs to aid in such.
Soon more serpent Grimm rose from the ground and produced tornados that hit the Getter Robo as it crouched up its body arms and legs of course to try and block it. But the hurricane attack rusted away some of the Getter's armoring as it tried to hold its ground. Getter Robo then fell to the ground as the force of his crash landing caused the underground subway to be unearthed by one of the many trains below.
(Getter Lab)
In a lab another robot was entering its final phase before deployment as inside it were two other pilots. One of them the pilot in the Red Getter's cockpit was seen to have Silver Eyes and ebony/crimson hair. But something was wrong as a scientist ran over to it in clogs trying to figure out why it wouldn't boot up.
"Why? Why won't you start up?!" He asked trying to figure out what was wrong. "Is it something even I don't understand?!" He asked trying to figure out what was wrong just as the lab began to shake.
(Outside the Lab)
In Atlas' Mountains which acted as the perfect place to hide their secret weapon the Grimm were attacking it as well showing that their secret outpost wasn't so secret anymore. Under the light of Remnant's shattered moon, the Grimm with mechanical implants fired off more missiles hitting the hidden base with each salvo.
(Getter Hanger)
"Statues report now!" The scientist ordered as his assistant nodded and ran off to get an update on things.
"Doctor!" A voice shouted out from the intercom as the Doctor knew it.
"Yin Xiao-Long!" The Doctor called to Yin who was in the leg part of this Getter Robo.
(Yin Getter 3 cockpit)
"Hurry it up if we don't get out there… I don't think Gurren can handle it nor Nicholas!" Yin called out as he knew how Gurren was.
(Getter 1 Cockpit)
Gurren was wrapped in bandages as his eyes were flashing silver as if the power were going wild mixing with the Getter Rays. He then roared out in a maddening yell as he tried to get Getter to move. "GET US OUT OF HERE!" He roared out trying to get a response from the Getter.
(Battle)
Nicholas was clearly fighting in an older model of the Getter, but he was trapped in the hole his Getter made when it crashed. Soon two missile weapons shot out and when they opened the path three Jets flew out showing the Getter was in fact comprised of three jets.
The three Jets flew into position before they began their configuration even being both weakened and obsolete. "CHANGE GETTER 1!" Nicholas Schnee was heard roaring out as he was fighting a battle with all the odds stacked firmly against him. Getter 3 the Bear took position as the legs, Nicholas own Getter Jet Getter 2 the Jaguar was the arms, and thus Getter 1 the Eagle in turn formed the head.
When Getter 1 landed the red mech was heavily damaged showing to be on its last ropes. But Nicholas Schnee refused to give up and charged into battle regardless of the outcome. "GETTER WINGS!" Nicholas roared out as Getter 1 then produced a worn cape and in turn flew into battle once more.
Once airborne Getter 1 used the arm blades to slice through the Mechanical Grimm in the air destroying a few of them. That was until one of them fired off a missile weapon that hit Getter 1 causing it damage. As Getter 1 fell for a bit he aimed his front torts the Grimm who had a second attack ready. "GETTER BEAM!" He roared out firing a weapon from the naval and hitting the Grimm destroying it in a fury explosion.
But then Getter 1 was blindsided by an attack as a spear like weapon skewered Getter 1 and causing it to crash into the ground.
(Salem)
"Pathetic." Salem said as to think this robot was giving her so much trouble in the past. Not anymore it would seem seeing as she was destroying Getter Robo and its successor would fall not long after. "I'm going to enjoy killing you all." Salem said as she was going to win this time.
(Battle)
Getter 1 grabbed the spike sticking from its stomach and tore it out causing oil and such to leak from the multiple wounds on the giant robots body.
(Getter Hanger)
"Professor if this continues, Nick will be in danger!" Gurren called out as he wanted out now for his best friends sake. "Let me go!" He roared out refusing to let Nicholas Schnee Die out there. "If we're going to die, I'd rather die together!" Gurren roared out showing his loyalty to his best friends.
"Fool!" The Professor called out lecturing the pilot. "You're too ignorant! A much crueler future awaits you and those who share your blood!" The Professor called out glaring at the pilots knowing what happens next was meant to be somehow.
(Battle)
Another Grimm flew from behind and fired off its weapon at Getter 1 managing to remove the left arm from play. But they weren't done as two more Grimm flew in, but Getter 1 wasn't going down without a fight. "GETTER TOMAHAWK!" Nicholas roared out summing the Tomahawk weapon and slashed both Grimm in two with ease.
The two flashed before exploding as their mechanical parts were hit. But then after the explosion Grimm with tendrils and tentacles came in and wrapped around the Getter and even restraining it as they all bit down on Getter Robo.
(Salem)
Salem smirked as she stood up and headed out. "The finishing blow… should be mine." Salem said as she was about to head in to join the battle herself. But as she left, she soon stopped when a pained roar was heard. Salem's gaze returned to the battle and saw something that shocked her to her very core.
(Battle)
The Grimm reeled back from Getter 1 as they each began to melt around the Getter. The Getter was emitting massive amounts of heat and due to the nature of the Getter Rays Getter Robo may in fact be overheating. This was proof that Getter 1 has reached its limit and could not fight anymore.
(Salem)
"What is going on?!" Salem demanded as she glared at the Getter. "Why, how is the Getter emitting cast amount of heat?!" Salem roared in fury glaring as she saw what was going on. "My Grimm should be impervious to such things how is, the Getter doing this?!" Salem said before taking a closer look to the battle.
"Wait… the machines… they aren't melted?!" Salem cried out when she saw that the Getter was destroying the organic material of the Grimm.
(Battle)
Getter 1 then with its remaining arm reached for its injury at the naval and began to tear it open further causing more oil to shoot out from it.
(Cockpit)
"Just watch you cold-blooded monstrous whore who only weeps blood!" Nicholas roared out as he was being affected by the Getter Rays that flowed around him. "I will not let you have Remnant!" Nicholas roared out showing he was not giving up without a fight. And if he were to die on this day… then Nicholas was taking them down with him.
(Battle)
Getter 1 then tore out its own Getter Ray reactor and held it high to the air.
(Shin Getter Hanger)
Soon Getter Rays began to flow into Shin Getter which was being fueled by the evolutionary power of the Getter Rays. As the old Getter Robo was about to die Shin Getter Robo was about to awaken. But at a cost as both Gurren and Yin felt what was happening to their dear friend.
Shin Getter's eyes flashed to life as the lights about showed that Shin Getter's awakening was upon them.
(Yin)
"This… no it can't be." Yin said as he felt it Nicholas wasn't coming back.
(Gurren)
Gurren's eyes widened as they returned to their normal silver with tears beginning to form in his eyes. "Nicholas…" Gurren began as he realized his best friend and comrade was about to die. "NICHOLAS!" Gurren roared out as his Silver Eyes flashed to life feeding the Getter as the systems began to boot up.
(Hanger)
Shin Getter began to come to life as it were as it released a powerful energy to the lab that seeped outward to the lab itself.
(Outside the Lab)
A beacon or a beam of Getter Rays shot up into the sky releasing a burst of power of Getter Rays and Silver Power. The Silver light destroyed the Grimm while the Getter Rays destroyed the machine parts of them. When the power of the God of Light mixes with the power of Getter either destruction or miracles were said to occur.
(Salem)
"NO!" Salem roared out in both horror and fear as the Getter Rays burst out around Atlas and at all labs that produced it.
(Nicholas)
"THIS IS THE POWER YOU BOTH DESIRE AND FEAR MOST SALEM!" Nicholas called out with a maddened look to his face as he knew exactly what he had to do. "YOU WANT IT SO BADLY YOU CAN HAVE IT! BUT DON'T COMPLAIN AFTER I GIVE IT TO YOU!" Nicholas roared out as it was time to end this useless battle in favor of humanity.
(Battle)
Getter 1 then proceeded to crush its overhearing core in its hand and in turn caused a reaction. Getter 1 exploded in a fury of power and Getter Rays that atomized everything it came into contact with. The Explosion was so powerful so mighty that none could have survived this.
(Salem)
"Again… Not again!" Salem roared out shielding herself from the power of the Getter as best she could. I care not how long it takes… I will have what was denied of me, Ozma… no GETTER ROBO!" Salem roared out as she vanished in the light of the explosion.
(Mantel)
The explosion was so mighty that it was a miracle in itself it was contained in the abandoned sector of Atlas below the massive plate that held the city high above. But even they felt the power with Nicholas Schnee sacrifice for not only Atlas but all of Remnant.
But one thing was for certain it was not over… not by a long shot. Salem will return one day and when she does Getter Robo will be needed once more… luckily the future will be in good hands.
(Scene Break many years later Vale)
Many years had passed since the infamous Getter Robo incident. The event was of course covered up by those in power. A massive Grimm Invasion of Mantel that caused a line of volatile Dust to go off creating a massive crater within the city. What no one realized was how close they came to extinction that day if not for the efforts of Getter Robo.
The founder of the Schnee Dust Company, Nicholas Schnee was a casualty of the event, and his two closest friends were deeply wounded by it. Gurren Rose had openly attacked and killed a man who he claimed had the means to stop Nicholas from dying. Gurren Rose was in turn sentenced to a maximum-security prison leaving his daughter Summer Rose in the care of her mother until she too had passed leaving young, Summer an Orphan with a Criminally insane father.
Yin went to spend his lifetime with his son Tai and lived his life in solitude and peace. Gurren would then be visited by a familiar headmaster on a near day-to-day basis which is where we now find him. The Old man Gurren sat in a booth in chains as he was under heaviest of guards. He took the phone and glared at the man who had the nerve to claim Getter was a problem.
"Back from the dead again." Gurren said as he glared at the Headmaster of Beacon Academy Ozpin.
"Must you always greet me in such a way?" Ozpin asked as he looked to Gurren.
"Considering what happened last time yes I do." Gurren said as he glared at the man whom he had killed long ago.
"Yes, well I hoped you would be interested in how your grandchildren are doing." Ozpin said as Gurren would have punched the screen separating them if not for the guards behind him.
"Considering you made it, so all my own kids sees me as is an insane convict I'm almost tempted to tell you to fuck off." Gurren said as he really wanted to tear Ozpin a new one once more. "Be happy I don't side with her." Gurren said as Ozpin looked in defeat here.
"Gurren please understand the continued use of Getter would have led to more problems than solutions." Ozpin said trying to defend his actions back then and even now.
"Because you were fucking afraid of it." Gurren defended as he knew what Getter was better than most. Ozpin was afraid of a possibility of what Getter could be. "And I already know what you're here for, you want to offer me an early release all so long as I agree to your terms when it comes to Getter. I'll tell you the same answer I told you the last one hundred times you offered NO!" Gurren said as he showed he was truly spiteful of Professor Ozpin.
"Please Gurren it's for the best interests of everyone that Getter Robo never sees the light of day." Ozpin said trying to talk reason in to one of the most dangerous men on the planet.
"And if that happens then Salem wins." Gurren said as he didn't fight tooth and nail using Getter Robo just so Salem can waltz in without Getter standing against her. The two stared silently at each other for a moment before Gurren opted to speak. "We're done here." Gurren said as he then put the receiver up and went to the guards to be escorted back to his isolation cell.
Ozpin sighed knowing full well Gurren still hasn't forgiven him for that last battle against Salem years prior. Getter Robo was a powerful weapon yes, but the source of its power was far too dangerous to allow to be used. He hoped the grandchildren of the original Getter Team would not follow in their forefathers footsteps into the destructive force that was the Getter Rays.
(Scene Break Vale Bank)
The day had started out just like any other day. He had gotten out of bed early after lamenting on his past. He gotten cleaned up and gotten something to eat in his small apartment. He went out to work as normal carrying out any task his boss needed until he was given a most odd task. They asked him to head to the bank and wait for the group. His boss a mad doctor if anyone asked said the gear of destiny was turning once more. He never went into detail all he did was give him names and report when they arrive. Once he did the job would handle itself from there and he would be getting a bonus. So here he was at the bank expecting nothing to happen and taking the advantage to be lazy on what should be his job task which was the oddest task given yet. After some time of waiting at the bank his scheduled day took an unscheduled change.
The doors burst open, and several Faunus wearing white battle armor and metal mask came running in with weapons drawn yelling orders for everyone to get on the ground and not to move. None of the civilians, himself among them, dared to disobey them. Several of them took position around the hostages, while others went over to the tellers. He risked lifting his head up a little to get a better look at the robbers. They were both men and women amongst the group of various builds. Their weapons varied just as much. He noticed the symbol on their backs, a red Beowolf head with a red claw mark through it. White Fang. He had heard of the group, seen them on the news but he never seen them in person.
"I said heads down!" One of them yelled and he quickly replied. The Faunus that had gone to the tellers returned to the rest of the group with bags of money. "Is that all of it?"
"It's all going to go back where it belongs." A young girl's voice called out from the bank's entrance. Everyone's attention turned to the would-be hero only to see four young girls. One had blonde hair and had gauntlets around her forearms. Another had black hair and a chain scythe. There was one with white hair and had a rapier. The last one, who stood just a little further in front of the others, had black and red hair wearing a red hood and held a red rifle. He lifted his head to get a better look at them. The girl in the red hood spoke formerly. "And you are all going to jail." The girl said as she smirked down upon her foes.
"Don't you kids ever give up?" One of the women Faunus yelled clearly annoyed. "Why can't you stay out of our plans?" She demanded pointing her weapon accusingly at the young teens.
"And let you destroy the city and give Faunus a bad name." The girl with black hair said with a clear hint of anger in her voice.
"You call yourself a Faunus, but you nothing more than a treacherous who-" She began only to be cut off by another Faunus of the White Fang Organization.
"Enough of this." The man from earlier said as he lifted his gun and fired at the girls. The four of them scattered and soon each were taking on a number of robbers. The blonde got in close to her targets and began to punch them rapidly with each contact a dust round went off causing the Faunus to fall back before she delivered knock-out punches to each of them.
The Faunus of the girls ran towards a set of robbers while fling her weapons out like a whip, when she got in close, she started hit them with the blades. He could have sworn that there were times that there was two of her. Eventually the criminals she fought were down and out.
The girl with the rapier's approach was to attack from all sides. Every time she moved a glyph would form underneath her and she would slide across the room like she was on ice keeping her sword out to the side cutting the perpetrators. She kept this up until the last robber collapsed.
He watched as the red hooded girl and her friends ran towards her set her rifle morphing into a large scythe and spun it around with such trained ease. She would bring the blade of the scythe behind one robber before firing off a round bring the weapon back towards her tripping the criminal before continuing her dance around the others. Eventually her set of robbers downed. The four girls look around admiring their handy work with smiles. Suddenly he was lifted up from the ground and a knife pressed against his throat.
"Enough!" The man holding him yelled drawing the attention of the girls. "Drop your weapons or this kid's blood will be all over the floor." The four seem to hesitate but one by one the put them down. The blonde retracted her gauntlets and pulled them off her arms. The white dressed human and dual wielding Faunus dropped their weapons. But the hooded girl did not put her scythe down.
"Didn't you hear me?" The man asked loudly. "I said put the weapon down." He yelled as she glared at the man in question.
"Ruby," The blonde spoke up looking to the apparent leader. "I think you should do as he says." The dual-haired girl look back at her and sighed in defeat as she dropped her stand and began to loosen her grip on the scythe. He felt the man's knife press harder against his throat. He realized that the Faunus was going to kill him anyway and probably jump to another hostage.
Just as the hood girl's weapon began to fall, she and the weapon both became blurs as the girl came at them at an astounding speed. The move had surprised the would-be robber as his grip around him loosened and the knife pulled away from his throat. The girl became more focused to his eyes as she neared them her scythe morphing back into a gun and the butt of the rifle slammed into the Faunus' face letting go of him and sending the robber flying into the wall.
"Are you alright?" Ruby asked him. He was to in shock to answer her. She shook him and asked again.
"Ye- Yes, I'm okay." He said looking into her silver eyes that he couldn't swore to have seen before.
"Ruby!" The girl wearing a white dress yelled as she walked up to them. "What were you thinking? You could have gotten him killed." The girl in white yelled as she scolded their leader.
"I had to do something, Weiss." Ruby defended herself. "Once he got away there would be no reason for to let his hostage live." Ruby said as she explained her actions to her best friend. Weiss looked like she was about to protest but was stopped.
"Let it go, Weiss." The Faunus girl said as she looked to Weiss in understanding while seeing Ruby's logic.
"But Blake-" The white-haired girl now known as Weiss started to say.
"Let's just call the police and get these guys arrested." Blake said nonchalantly showing it was already done and there was no use arguing.
"Alright everyone you can get up now." The blonde told the former hostages. "No thanks are necessary. But they would be appreciated." The blond said with a cocky smirk on her face.
"Yang!" Ruby scolded the taller girl who just smiled back. The rest of what happened was mostly a blur to him the police had come and arrested the White Fang members. They took statements from all the civilians before they started to talk to the girls. He vaguely had been paying attention as he fiddled with something in his hand. It was when the Detective was dismissing the girls that he began focus on them again, one person in particular.
"Yang Xiao Long, Blake Belladonna, Weiss Schnee, Ruby Rose." He nodded to each of them. "Once again I thank you for your… good Samaritan work. But next time please call the police first." The girls gave apologetic smile before saying their goodbyes. His eyes followed the red hood girl before she left.
"Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Yang Xiao Long, and Blake Belladonna." He said to himself as he looked down at the team of Huntresses in training taking their leave. "The old coco was right." He said knowing he had to call it in now.
(Scene Break down the Street)
Team RWBY was seen walking down the street after another success in stopping the White Fang. Though it was odd last time they faced them they were busy stealing dust but now their robbing banks. "That was awesome!" Yang called out as she walked with her teammates.
"Yes, thus the day was saved by four girls not even graduated from Beacon yet performing acts of vigilante justice." Weiss said as she still didn't approve of their little vigilante stunts here.
"Oh, don't be like that Ice Queen." Yang said with a smile on her face.
"Yeah, Weiss we helped a lot of people and it's something to feel good about." Ruby said happy to help those people at the bank. Weiss had to admit though Ruby had a point it did feel nice to help others who were in need.
But as they walked something was amiss. As day made way for night, they noticed that a black car of sorts was parked outside the park directly in the path they were talking. That wasn't something ominous no what was ominous was the fact men in black began to appear around the girls. "I don't like the look of this." Blake said as she knew something was very wrong here.
The group of Huntresses edged for their weapons noticing that some of these men had a grip on weapons of their own. Thus, they opted to leave while they still could only to find one of the men standing in their way. "Sorry we're going to have to ask you to come with us." He said as Ruby knew they were in trouble right now.
"And if we say no?" Yang challenged knowing whatever these men wanted it wasn't good.
"Then we have to be a bit forceful." He said making it sound like he didn't want to do it.
"Not a chance!" Ruby called out before the men went on the attack. Ruby saw they were like those hired thugs of Roman's from the night he robbed that dust shop when she first met Professor Ozpin of Beacon Academy. One of them went flying back as Yang then jumped in with a punch torts of the hired thugs here. As this continued Weiss managed to join in sending out attacks with her Glyphs as she all but skated her way through the foes.
Blake was then swung at as she used her Semblance to avoid the attack before performing a counterattack against the attacker. From there she began a flurry of attacks making sure not to seriously injure or harm the hired goons. She then jumped back as Team RWBY regrouped noticing there was a lot of men in black to fight off.
But unaware to the girls nearby another man was seen looking through a scope as he was holding a dart gun of sorts making sure to take aim to the girls in question. He was just waiting for the proper opening to fire upon them knowing full well once he started, he had to hit them all in successive shots so to prevent them from getting the authorities involved here.
The girls were going to town on the thugs showing just how dangerous they can be despite being students still. Ruby made sure to use the non-lethal part of her Crescent Rose while Yang held back her strength as well. It was clear that these guys were not giving up so easily as Yang punches may be a one-shot KO, but they had friends.
It wasn't long before the one who was watching them fired his darts at the four Huntresses with success. They all yelped when they felt the needle pierce their skins. They looked at the tranquilizers and almost stumbled when the affects started to sink in. But as the crooks came at them, they refused to surrender and thus they went at it more for victory.
But soon it was Blake who was the first to go as she stumbled after using her semblance and in turn the world fell to back for the Faunus Huntress. "Blake!" Yang cried out seeing their friend and teammate out.
Just then more tranquilizer hit Ruby, Weiss, and Yang causing the affects to double as they tried to fight off the attackers. It was evident that Ruby, Weiss, and Yang were starting to feel the effects but would not surrender. But alas their battle was for naught as next to fall was Weiss as she held onto a tree before the tranquilizers finally brought the Schnee Heiress down.
"Weiss!" Ruby called out in shock when she saw Weiss fall leaving only Ruby and Yang left.
Yang then roared out as her eyes turned red as Ruby charged in with her. The two kept fighting punching and blasting in the case of Yang and hacking and slashing in the reapers case. It wasn't long until Yang after her burst finally fell as Ruby was wide eyed at what she saw happen.
"No…" Ruby gasped seeing her teammates out cold. As the men began to surround her Ruby grip on Crescent Rose tighten as she clenched her eyes shut and grit her teeth. When they began to surround her Ruby's, eyes shot open with pure rage as her eyes went from silver to grey with rings. Circuit like veins appeared around her body for a moment as they gave off an emerald, green glow. Following it up the blade of Crescent Rose began to give off an emerald color showing Ruby had pulled something out from deep within her very being.
Then with a furious roar she slashed her scythe creating a blast of wind that knocked the men back just before it vanished from the girl. The men were all knocked down as they were either hurt or out cold. Ruby looked around for any more only to see an old man in clogs standing nearby. Ruby assumed he must be the leader seeing as he wasn't bothered by what he saw or had happened. Ruby then charged at him ready to take him down and get her friends some help.
But before Ruby could do anything she was then hit by one of the man's clogs knocking her head to the side for it and stopping her in her tracks. "W-what?" Ruby asked wondering why the heck did, this guy hit her with a clog of all things. "What you do that for?" Ruby asked glaring at the old man only to go wide eyed and pass out right there.
The remaining men walked up to their boss they were surprised at what just happened. "Those were darts to hunt wild animals Aura or not the amount they were hit with would have killed most men." The guard said as the old man was impressed with all of them. But it was to be expected from the granddaughters of the infamous Getter Team. He was even impressed that Blake was still alive after that proving like Ruby, Weiss, and Yang she too was blessed by the power of the Getter.
"Yes, but much like Gurren, Nicholas, and Xin before them they aren't ordinary young girls." The old man said with an almost sadistic grin on his face that hid the hope he had inside him.
(Scene Break the Dark Lands)
Deep within the Dark Lands the breeding ground of the Grimm one of the pools began to stir after many years of inactivity. It bubbled and morphed as the Grimm all gathered around this pool. From the pool a hand began to reach out a very humanoid and feminine hand. Following it was a torso and a head as the body began to reveal scaring that were still trying to heal. From it a pale white face showed itself with crimson red eyes like Grimm.
"Getter…" The voice of the woman spoke as she was bare as the day of her birth as she reached to the heavens for Getter. "Getter Robo… Getter Rays." The woman said as she glared at the heavens. "I will exterminate the humans whom you favor then you will submit to me!" She roared in fury as soon another pool shot up revealing a Wraith of sorts. It flew torts the woman and began to robe her in her gown.
The dark gowned woman stepped out and chuckled looking upon herself and seeing the scars that adorned her one perfect flesh. "Truly the result of the power of Getter." Salem said as she saw the scars on her body. "The power even Gods fear if this weaker Getter could do this to me when unleashed what can the full power of Getter due upon those Gods." Salem said as she exit the Grimm spawning ground.
As Salem looked, she entered her sanctum and focused her power on one of her Grimm. "Let us see if they found it." She said as save for the Maidens and the Relics the Getter was her primary goal it was obsessively so in fact. In turn she saw the image within and inside saw the familiar site of the Getter Lab hidden in the mountain. "There." Salem said and knew the power she sought was hidden where it began. In turn she got to work on her Grimm after all she needed them to get close and acquire her access to the Getter rays.
(Scene Break Getter Lab RWBY)
Ruby, Yang, and Weiss began to come to in some cell as they tried to make sense of all this. "What happened?" Ruby asked with a moan as she was a bit out of it.
"Well last thing I remember." Yang began as she got up with a grunt. "We got jumped then darted like a pack of wild animals, and then we blacked out." Yang said but Ruby had more to add.
"Funny I remember all of that but then getting hit by an old man's clogs." Ruby said as Weiss got up next.
"Where are we anyway?" Weiss asked with concern over their current predicament at the moment.
"Don't know but we need to find a way out of here now." Ruby said only for the cell door to open much to their shock. They then heard cases open on the wall and saw their weapons inside them.
"Well, that's convenient." Yang said as she saw her Ember Celica was inside shiny and new.
"Someone cleared and repaired our weapons." Ruby said hold Crescent Rose as she hugged her baby close.
"Why does this give me a bad feeling?" Weiss asked and thus they all knew something big was going on right now. "Wait where's Blake?" Weiss asked with concern in her voice.
(Scene Break over with Blake)
Blake was sitting on a chair as they observed the security monitors of the rest of her team. She was not here by choice mind you as the old man had abducted the entire team. In the room were several scientists and among them the leader was the same old man in clogs as he glared at the video screens.
"Why are you doing this?!" Blake asked as she was wearing aura restricting handcuffs to make sure she didn't cause trouble here.
"You'll see soon enough." He said while observing the girls with a glare.
"If you hurt my teammates!" She began but then the man scoffed.
"If that's all it takes to cause harm to the granddaughters of the Getter Team then they were not worth the effort of bringing in." He said which surprised and confused Blake.
"Bringing in…" Blake said as it sounded like her teammates had just been drafted. Looking to another screen Blake saw three massive jets docked onto launch pads that were prepped for launch but against what foe?
(Back over with Team RWY)
Once Team RWBY was armed the doors opened and from there the group saw that Grimm were entering the room. But something was very wrong with them as they had several mechanical parts grafted into their bodies like mad science.
"What the hell?" Yang asked as she looked at the Grimm. From the looks of it they followed their specific types, speed, power, and flight. But before they could even question I the Grimm roared and attacked the three girls.
"No time attack!" Ruby called out and thus they got moving. Ruby spun around her scythe using the massive blade to take out the foes unaware of the cameras watching their every movement. One by one the Grimm fell to her blade as she went on the attack.
Meanwhile Weiss was speeding through her foes with elegance and grace. Using her Glyphs Weiss proceeded to launch attacks at the fliers while using her rapier Mystrander to skewer the nearby Grimm.
Not too far away Yang roared as she bashed her way through the Grimm taking them out with her strength. Her fists and shotgun blasts curtesy of Ember Celica were proving to be formidable against the Grimm with cybernetic implants. By the end of it the enemies were dealt with and from there the trio calmed down catching their breath.
(Back at the observation room)
"First wave of dummy Grimm have been decimated, Doctor." A woman said as she looked to the old man.
"Increase difficulty and send the next wave in." He said and thus the scientists nodded all while Blake was forced to be an audience to this.
(Back over with Team RWY)
"Ok girls lets find a way out of here and." Ruby began only for the doors to open again releasing more of these enhanced Grimm. But these ones seemed to be stronger then their defeated allies from the previous wave.
"Well round 2!" Yang called out and thus once more RWY went on the attack. They got to work and attempted to make quick work of these new foes here.
Using a different strategy Weiss froze the ground and Yang blasted it to make a smokescreen. In turn they ran through the smoke and started taking out the enhanced Grimm as quickly as they can.
(Back at the observation room)
"Second Wave has been defeated." A male scientist informed the old man and thus he smirked.
"Activate the third wave increased difficulty." HE added and thus the doctors got to it.
(Back with Team RWY)
Before Ruby, Weiss, and Yang could catch their breaths the doors opened again as even stronger enhanced Grimm had appeared.
"Ok this is starting to get vexing." Yang said as she saw what was going on.
Just then turret popped up getting the groups attention. "Well, that's new." Weiss added before the turrets targeted Team RWY and opened fire. Now RWY had to not only fight the enhanced Grimm but avoid getting themselves gunned down.
(Back at the Observation Room)
Blake was made to watch as each wave her teammates stopped a stronger wave came out with more traps and obstacles taking the stage. From pits of spikes to flamethrowers her teammates were running out of ammo from this onslaught.
"Stop this! Stop this now!" Blake called out trying to figure out what was going on and why this man was doing this to them. But alas she was ignored as the old man continued to watch RWY fight on.
(Back over with Team RWY)
RWY were at the 15th wave as they were showing signs of ware and tear. Their opponents now were of the higher class of Grimm that roared and went on the attack. "Stand firm girls." Ruby said as she held Crescent Rose against this foe. The creature roared and charged as Ruby did the same with her teammates. But clearly the creature of Grimm was smart and flipped over Ruby and slammed her into the ground.
"Ruby!" Yang cried out and with a roar charged at the Grimm. But the Grimm then sued Ruby to smack Yang aside before throwing Ruby towards the wall where more cases of weapons opened for her.
As Ruby began to get back up, she saw the scythes a tomahawks surrounding her. Seeing Crescent Rose was out of ammo Ruby holstered her weapon and grabbed the scythes and the axes.
Meanwhile Weiss and Yang were being cornered and then from nearby a roar was heard. Looking they saw Ruby coming in like a red bullet as she began to cleave through the foes with the tomahawks she grabbed. Following it up she switched to the scythes and began to duel wield the weapons in question.
"Come on!" Ruby called out charging into the fight once more tearing through her foes almost like she was made to do it. As the foes began to fall to her blades Yang and Weiss stood there surprised overt what was happening.
"Well, when out of ammo improvise." Yang said as she saw her little sister tearing the Grimm apart.
As they all fell to her blade Ruby was catching her breath as Yang was about to praise Ruby. "Nice." Yang said just before the entire facility shook.
"What was that?" Weiss asked when she heard this as soon alarms began to blare around them.
"No clue but not good." Ruby said as soon a door opened but this time it revealed a hallway instead.
"Well, we're done here let's find Blake and go!" Yang called out and thus Ruby, Weiss, and Yang all ran for to find an exit.
(Back at the Observation Room)
"Doctor a Machine Grimm has been detected." A scientist said as the old man growled when he heard this.
"Dammit not now." He said as Blake heard this. "Get the Getter Jets ready." HE said which got Blake's attention.
"Sir are you sure they'll actually fly?" A random technician asked as he looked to the old man.
"We have no choice." He said before looking to the cuffed Blake. "Let her go." He added and thus Blake was surprised by this.
"Wait your just going to let me go?" Blake asked as she was surprised by this.
"If your teammates won't pilot it, then we're all doomed." He said and thus Blake realized there was more at play here. Basically, Blake was dead either way better to give her a head start of things go south. As the old man wearing clogs left Blake ran after him because whatever was going on he was at the center of it all.
(Outside of the Research Lab)
A massive portal opened in the sky as beams of energy tore through the ground bellow. Descending from high on a massive humanoid creature of Grimm descended down from above. AS its feet touched down on the ground it released a powerful roar of fury before drawing forth a bone weapon before firing a beam of energy from its shoulder similar to the ones from earlier. Making its way towards the lab it had an objective from its mistress.
Retrieve the Getter take it and bring it to her. The power of the Getter shall belong to the Queen of the Grimm. Already defense turrets were active as rockets flew towards the Grimm but despite using Dust, they were ill effective against this Creature of Grimm. It then returned fire via cybernetics that targeted and released a volley of rockets at the labs own defenses. The explosions went off tearing through the land with hellfire.
(Scene Break Getter Machine Hanger)
The entire facility shook as Ruby lead Yang and Weiss to where she hoped the exit was. When the shaking was bad, they stumbled but kept going regardless.
"Ruby do you even know where your going?" Weiss asked as she followed Ruby.
"Nope just trying to find Blake and get out of here." Ruby said as they kept running. Just then the building shook and when it did Yang stumbled towards a window and saw outside.
"HOLY SHIT!?" Yang cried out as soon they girls gathered and saw a giant Grimm attacking.
"What is that thing?" Weiss asked as she had never seen a Grimm of this size with cybernetic implants.
Just then another door opened, and Ruby saw it. "This way!" Ruby called out and they ran towards the opened door.
But upon entering the door closed behind them sealing the group in a dark room. "Hey who turned out the light!?" Yang asked before all of a sudden, the lights came on revealing three massive machines. They were docked on top of each other on different launch ramps. The red one was at the top, the white in the middle, and the yellow at the bottom.
"Wow look at the size of those things!" Ruby called out never seeing gets this big before.
"Ruby, Weiss, Yang!" Blake was heard and thus RWY looked and saw Blake at a railing where she jumped down to meet with them.
"Blake you're ok!" Ruby called out happy to see that Blake was alive and well.
"Yeah, but we have a big problem." Blake said and thus the voice of the old man was heard.
"Good you all made it." The old man in clogs said and thus Yang saw him as did Ruby.
"Its you again!" Ruby yelled pointing her scythe at the old man. "Why did you bring us here!" Ruby called out and thus Blake acted.
"Ruby wait!" Blake called out and thus the old man looked. "We got bigger issues and he says this thing." Blake said gesturing to the jets. "Can help." Blake said and thus the old man smirked.
"How?" Weiss asked as then the old man spoke.
"Its called Shin Getter Robo." The old man said as he glared down upon the four. "And I am its creator you may call me. Dr. Saotome." The man said as he glared down upon the girls bellow.
"Shin? Getter? Robo?" Yang asked as she found the name cool and strange.
"Are you saying this is a robot?" Weiss asked as she glanced at the robot.
"Yes, and right now you three are the only ones who can pilot it." Dr. Saotome said as he looked to the girls.
"Us?" Ruby asked as she glared at the man. "You kidnapped us to pilot your robot?" Ruby asked as she got upset about this. For a moment Dr. Saotome recalled another silver eyes Huntsman standing where Ruby is standing.
"Yes, because that Grimm will not stop here, it will move on to Vale and cause destruction and death." Dr. Saotome said as Ruby heard this. "And as Huntresses it's your job to fight Grimm and defend the weak is it not?" He asked as he recalled saying the same words to one other.
"Well, he's got a point." Weiss said as Ruby thought about it.
"IF we pilot your Shin Getter Robo you'll tell us what's going on right?" Ruby asked as she glared at the man above her.
"I will." He responded and thus the girls looked to each other.
"Well, this might be fun." Yang said as she grinned in anticipation.
"Alright lets do this." Ruby said and thus they were all prepared to fight.
"Good hurry to the machines, Ruby you'll pilot Shin Eagle. Weiss Shin Jagguar, and Yang Shin Bear." Dr. Saotome said and thus the girls got moving. "It's red, white, and yellow." He added so the girls don't get mixed up.
"I already called red!" Ruby called as she gunned for Shin Eagle.
(Scene Break in Shin Eagle)
Ruby jumped into Shin Eagle and when she did the controls came to life around her. There were a lot of controls for her to utilize but for some reason she just knew. Jumping in Ruby began to activate Shin Eagle and when her hands touched the controls its like information on what this is flooded her mind. What she failed to notice was veins of green energy moving up her body before stopping at her head.
"This is cool." Ruby said as she got excited for what was to happen and the coming battle.
(Meanwhile over in Shin Jaguar)
Weiss saw in her chair as she found this to be a strange feeling of familiarity. Her hands grasped the controls and when it did the same green energy went up her own body stopping at her head.
"What was that?" Weiss asked as she felt that strange pulse go through her. Whatever this Shin Getter Robo was… Weiss swore that it was alive somehow.
(With Yang in Shin Bear)
"Wow trippy." Yang said as she felt the pulse as well as when it got to the top of her head her Semblance flared up giving her hair a spark of fire before returning to its normal state. She felt some kind of connection to this thing, to the Getter.
(Meanwhile in the command room)
Dr. Saotome and Blake arrived as he took his position with his science team. "Dr. Saotome the Getter Machines are ready to deploy." A scientist reported as Dr. Saotome nodded to this.
"Energy flow is nominal seems they like those girls." A female take spoke as Dr. Saotome smirked to this.
"Of course, Getter has always chosen humanity for its evolutionary potential." Dr. Saotome said with his eyes closed before they flashed open. "Now LAUNCH GETTER!" He called out and thus the time had come.
(In the Getter Machine Hager)
One by one the Getter machines launched starting with Eagle, then Jaguar, and finally Bear. Inside the machines Ruby, Wiess, and Yang felt the powerful G-Force pushing against as they sank into their chairs. Needless to say, they did not see this level of force coming.
(Outside to the battle)
The Shin Machines launched into the sky and weaved passed the Machine Grimm grabbing its attention. They soon flew in formation as if a greater force were guiding the pilots to fly like this.
(Ruby)
"This is amazing!" Ruby cheered as she felt the force like a roller coaster. "Its awesome! It's unbelievable!" Ruby called out as she was grinning ear to ear.
(Weiss)
"Ruby calm down!" Weiss called as she held on for dear life. "We don't know what this Shin Getter Robo can do!" Weiss yelled as she wanted to play it safe.
(Yang)
"I know how I drive in Bumblebee, but this is totally different." Yang said as she actually a little green under the gills. "I think I'm going to hurl." Yang said as she felt like her insides were being crushed from the G-Force.
"Don't be afraid!" Ruby was heard as soon both girls heard her out.
(With Ruby)
"If we can't control it then what's the point?!" Ruby asked as she was ready for what came next.
(Back with Saotome and Blake)
Dr. Saotome smirked as he heard what Ruby said. "Gurren… you'd be proud of your granddaughter." Saotome said and was ready for what came next. "Ruby." He spoke into the mic. "Do it know form Shin Getter 1!" Saotome said and thus Ruby nodded.
(Back with Ruby)
"Right!" Ruby called out and thus gripped her controls.
(Battle)
The Getter Machines then flew in formation as with Eagle in the front, Jaguar in the middle, and Bear in the back. "CHANGE SHIN!" Ruby roared as soon Bear docked into the back of Jagguar causing Weiss to cry out in surprise from the force while Yang was surprised. "GETTER 1!" Ruby called out as soon the two jets docked into the back of Eagle beginning the transformation.
Shin Bear formed into a pair of legs that shifted color to match up to Shin Eagle. From there the boosters of Shin Eagle linked up to Shin Jagguar as and began to form arms. First was the skeletal frame which was then followed up by the wiring that formed like muscle in a human body, and finally the armor formed from nanites before producing a trio of blades.
Finally, the head formed as the nose of Shin Eagle split open to form into a giant robots head. Soon Shin Getter 1 was formed and struck a pose with lighting made of Getter Rays flashing behind him. Soon Shin Getter flew to the ground and proceeded to kick the massive Grim in the face. Once it landed Shin Getter 1's eyes shifted to look more like a human pair of eyes via silver dots inside of them.
"This is so cool!" Ruby cheered as she was in a giant robot now. Her chair had shifted when Shin Getter 1 had formed. It took her from her command seat down a pathway till it stopped and spun her chair around. It then lifted her seat up before moving back to the end of another path where the seat turned to show her a first-person point of view of what Shin Getter 1 saw.
"Ok we got a giant robot now what?!" Yang asked and thus Dr. Saotome cut in.
"Don't worry the Getter is equipped with weapons, Ruby access should be labeled." Dr. Saotome said and thus Rubby looked at the levers and switches where she saw the weapons.
"Awesome!" Ruby called and thus hit it. But then she saw something that really got her excited. "No way this thing has a scythe!" Ruby called noting how it was righty next to a Getter Tomahawk. "GETTER WAR SCYTHE!" Ruby invoked as Shin Getter opened a compartment on its shoulder that produced a long staff. The tip of the staff then unfurled to reveal a massive deadly scythe. Shin Getter then spun the scythe around much in the way Ruby had done with Crescent Rose when fighting the Grimm.
The Grimm roared at Shin Getter and thus Ruby glared back. "BRING IT ON!" Ruby called out and thus Shin Getter charged in against the Grim before jumping over the monster and slicing it with his scythe. The beast roared in pain grabbing the wound as Shin Getter flipped across the ground before using his scythe to launch himself back at his foe. The Grim held on before he managed to send Shin Getter to the sky with a missile fired at point blank range.
Shin Getter was launched but unharmed yet was now in freefall. Ruby however saw another tool Shin Getter can use. "GETTER BATTLE WINGS!" Ruby called out as Shin Getter then sprouted a pair of wings before flying through the sky leaving behind streaks of Getter Energy in his wake.
"We can fly?!" Yang called out as she saw Shin Getter was airborne despite the G-Force of Shin Getter Robo's speed. The Machine Grimm roared and fired off the full salvo of its missiles at Shin Getter. But instead of hitting Shin Getter all it hit was an after image which then vanished into a flurry of rose petals and currents of Getter Rays.
The Machine Grim was lost as it tried to find its target but saw nothing. But from the night sky a star shined and flew towards the enemy revealing it to be Shin Getter 1 who flew past the moon.
Ruby was grinning like mad as she never felt such euphoria in any weapon not even Crescent Rose. "Sorry Crescent Rose but Shin Getter is my new favorite." Ruby apologized as she dived towards their foe.
"Ruby what are you doing?!" Weiss cried out as she saw where Ruby's trajectory was leading.
Flying to the ground Shin Getter zoomed in and much to the shock of many dove into the ground instead. The Machine Grimm was left confused for a moment before the ground broke behind it. From there Shin Getter 1 rose and in a burst of Getter Rays and Rose Petals launched itself at the Machine Grimm.
Shin Getter 1 flew around his foe creating a tornado of Rose Petals and Getter Rays as his Scythe cleaved into the Machine Grimm from all angles. Soon enough Shin Getter flew upward and posed once last time with his scythe before zooming down and cleaving the monstrous Machine Grimm cleanly in two. Soon the inner tech spewed out its coolant like blood as Shin Getter 1 was stained by the substance within. Shin Getter 1 then jumped away and when he did the Machine Grimm exploded in a blazing fury leaving behind a crater where it died.
(Meanwhile back with Dr. Saotome)
Saotome smirked as he watched the battle play out. These three were rough around the edges but so too had Gurren, Yin, and Nick been when they formed the original Getter Team. "Have the team return to the lab." Dr. Saotome said as he headed off. "I have to go keep my end of the deal." He said heading elsewhere to meet with RWY. Blake stood there for a moment as she looked at Getter Robo. For some odd reason… Blake felt a great sense of fear towards the mech.
(Meanwhile deep under the lab)
A hidden chamber known only to a select few rested as it radiated Getter Rays. The lab seemed to hold another Getter Robo as the area leading to it were filled with destroyed Getter Robo's like a Getter Graveyard. At the end of the path was a tank connected to a massive generator. But the Generator wasn't powering the tank the tank was powering the generator. Inside the tank was a woman who bore a striking resemblance to Ruby Rose as she slept with wires attached to her nude form. Her body was radiating Getter Rays as it caused the liquid, she floated in to turn green with the Getter Rays.
The tank and generator were siphoning out the Getter Rays the woman was giving off, but it was clear that she gave off more then can be safely siphoned out. As she floated within the tank like a radiated goldfish a small pulse went through the sealed chamber… a pulse that radiated with the Getter Robo's that had been abandoned causing their eyes to glow green before turning silver.
