With the death of General Thunderbolt Ross and his entire army, Central Park was declared a special area since it became part of The Ho Oh grounds, so Nick Fury became a mediator.

Because the attack had been carried out first by the soldiers, it was decided to try to reach a peace agreement.

This time Nick Fury met with Makima who was dressed in her characteristic black suit, while she drank tea enjoying the views of the renovating Central Park that she had personally modified.

This was because she had a much better artistic style than her husband or the blue-haired beast she shared her husband with.

With a sign of her hand she invited Nick Fury to sit down. "So you are the representative they sent to fix their mistakes, I have to admit that I was expecting someone else.

But it is enough for me to know that they try to attack us again despite the warnings we gave them."

Nick Fury took a deep breath and with his single eye studied Makima carefully, he had faced gods, aliens and superhumans, but there was something particularly disturbing about her calm demeanor.

He adjusted his eyepatch slightly before responding.

"Miss Makima, I understand your frustration but the attack was unauthorized and General Ross acted without the approval of high command.

His actions were reckless and cost him and his men dearly. I'm here to ensure something like this never happens. again."

Makima's expression remained unchanged, but the slightest hint of a smile appeared at the corner of her lips. "Well, it's comforting to know that you at least recognize the seriousness of the situation.

However, recognizing it is one thing. What guarantees can you offer that this peace will last?"

Nick Fury leaned forward, his tone serious. "I am prepared to offer a formal apology and reparations for the damage caused.

Additionally, we can establish a neutral zone around Central Park, where no military action can be taken without mutual consent.

This area would be monitored by both our forces and yours."

Makima took a sip of tea, considering her proposal. "That's a start, Fury. But I need more than words.

Actions speak louder, and so far, your side has only shown violence. I want assurances that my home will not be threatened again."

Fury nodded as he felt a bit of sweat on his forehead. "You will have my personal guarantee, any future aggression will have serious consequences on our part.

The government has no intention of escalating this conflict further, we want peace, as much as you do."

Makima's eyes narrowed slightly, assessing his sincerity. "Very well, Fury, I will hold you to your word.

But know this, any breach of this agreement will not be forgiven and we will respond with force that will make Ross's attack look like child's play."

Nick Fury stood up and extended his hand. "Understood. Let's make sure it never comes to that."

Makima took his hand in a firm but cold grip. "Okay, for now, we have peace.

"But remember, Fury, it's a fragile thing, don't take it for granted."

As they shook hands, the tension in the air was still palpable, both knowing that the peace they had just negotiated was provisional and would require constant vigilance to maintain.

As the meeting came to an end, Nick Fury withdrew from Central Park, leaving the old park in the hands of its new owners.

He didn't like the idea of having dangerous elements in the middle of New York but the power they had and the fact that Central Park seemed to be in another dimension didn't help much since he couldn't use brute force.

Not to mention that the government decided to negotiate since after that show of power they did not want to risk the entire city of New York to become something similar to what happened in Central Park.

In order to avoid attracting the attention of New Yorkers, it was reported that Central Park was being remodeled due to a terrorist attack that could have been avoided, so everything around it was evacuated and the streets were closed.

A drastic measure but it completely prevented civilians from coming into contact with forces they did not understand.
