Chapter 49

Calixa walked into the kitchen for breakfast an hour late as usual, and sat down in her normal place, or at least her new normal which was sitting on the other side of Neox. Her old normal place was where Xacrrie was currently sitting. She had finally just accepted the fact that she now had to share her best friend. And Xacrrie wasn't all that bad, at least not as bad as her sister. Once seated at the table, Calixa grabbed a fat free yogurt and banana for her breakfast. "Pass the orange juice," she asked Axel from across the table.

As Axel passed the orange juice over, Neox looked at her very low fat breakfast compared to high fat breakfast burrito filled with cheese and deep fried sausage, ham, bacon, and hash browns. She used to complain about her diet all the time, now she hardly ever comments on it. She used to look longingly at high fat snacks on missions, now days if she had to choose between a donut and a vegetable, she would choose the vegetable without a second thought. What gives?

"Hey Calixa," Neox started pushing his plate toward her. "Wanna try some of my burrito?"

Calixa looked over at it mid chew of her banana. She thought for a moment then shook her head no. "Nah, that's ok. I'm good with this," she took another bite of the banana.

Neox was taken aback. Had she gone crazy? Before he could say anything else, Xemnas announced that breakfast was over and it was time to hand out mission assignments in the gray area. One by one everyone teleported out of the kitchen.

ORGANIZATIONDAYS

Calixa had gotten a mission assignment with Roxas and Axel, while Neox got a mission with Xacrrie. She glowered at the two of them, jealously surging though her as she watched them giggle happily as they read there mission notes. "Cali come on lets go," Axel called creating a portal.

"Where are we going?" Roxas asked.

"To a new world _," Axel replied. He waited until both Roxas and Calixa walked through the portal before following himself.

They all reappeared on a doc next to the ocean. This made Calixa groan, "Aw man I hate the ocean…"

"That's too bad, because we have to go out on a boat," Axel replied smirking.

"WHAT!"

Both male nobodies laughed at her. Half hour later Calixa was sitting in the back of a motor boat bundled in two life vests, looking miserable. Axel sat in the driver's seat, and Roxas in the pilot seat. Both kept looking at each other grinning in amusement over Calixa. After driving out for about an hour Axel said, "Ok Calixa I need you to go to the front of the boat."

"No way!" the carrot head immediately replied. "Look how wet it is up there, and it bumpy enough back here."

"Calixa do it!" Axel ordered again more firmly.

"Why can't Roxas do it?"

"He's got his own job, don't make me ask again."

Calixa stood up grumbling, and made her way up to the front of the boat. "Watch out its going to get bumpy," Axel warned as they went over some waves.

Unfortunately Calixa couldn't prepare herself. As the boat went over a wave it jerked, and Calixa went flying over the edge. "Stop the boat, Calixa's gone over!" Roxas shouted.

Calixa was pulled under the boat. The water felt like ice against her skin, and as she approached the back side of the boat she felt the motor blades hit against her life jacket. It seems to avoid her skin, however she felt her hair get tangled up into the spinning blade. She resurfaced and her hair which was still stuck in the spinning blade pulled painfully against her scalp. A scream of pain erupted from the girl's throat as her head broke the surface for a moment, and was pulled back under from her stuck hair. "Turn the motor off!" Roxas screamed grabbing her arm and trying to pull her up.

Axel turned the motor off and went to help. "Her hair is stuck," Roxas explained as he pulled harder hoping the hair would give.

"Stop you're going to rip her scalp off," Axel yelled summoning his weapon and slicing off the attached hair.

Calixa was pulled back onto the boat spluttering and coughing. "Are you ok?" Axel asked checking her body over for injuries.

The girl nodded her head still coughing violently. Roxas stood behind them his mouth hanging over in horror. Almost all of Calixa's long carrot red hair was gone. There were a couple locks in the front still the same length as before, but most of the hair in the back was all different layers. All in all it looked absolutely awful. Once Calixa got her coughing under control, and the shock wearing off she looked down at the water. There was a large mass of orange hair still stuck in the now motionless motor.

"Why does it look like my entire scalp is still underwater?" she asked. Before either of the boys could reply she already knew the answer as her hands flew up to feel her head. It was horribly obvious that all her hair was gone save for a few locks. "N-Now Cali, don't freak out. I-It doesn't look that bad," Roxas tried, but he was failing miserably as holding back a laugh. Her hair looked horribly hilarious.

Calixa didn't think it was hilarious though, she burst into gut wrenching sobs. "M-M- My hair! ….. my h-hair! … MY HAIR!"

ORGANIZATIONDAYS

Calixa sat in on a stool in the kitchen with Xemnas, Saïx, Xaldin, Vexen, Lexaeus, Axel, Roxas, and Zexion staring at her. Vexen was checking her over for unnoticed injuries, while Zexion looked more closely at her new hairstyle with a scissors in hand, figuring out the best way to even it out. "It's pretty bad…" he commented gravely pulling gently at a lock seeing how far out it went.

"She was very lucky," Axel said to Xemnas. "That motor blade could have easily cut her to pieces."

Calixa covering her face with her hands while all this was going on. She peaked through her fingers for a moment to see what everyone was doing, and a sob fell from her lips. "Calixa, hair can grow again," Zexion reassured, hiding a smirk.

The door opened up and Larxene came striding in. She stopped mid step staring at the scene in front of her. "Whoa… hair crisis much?" she asked.

"She was in an accident," Zexion explained.

Larxene walked around to look at the back of Calixa's head, and bust out laughing. This made Calixa start crying again, "Number 12 leave the room please, she's already distressed enough," Xemnas ordered.

Zexion raised the scissors to start cutting, when Larxene suddenly snatched them out of his hand. "Hold up, what do you think you're doing?" she asked him.

"We obviously can't leave her hair like that, so I'm going to even it out."

"No you're not. This is a fashion emergency, that we need a professional for," Larxene explained grabbing Calixa's arm and pulling her off the stool. She pulled Calixa's hood up over her head then dragged her through a portal.

The two girls reappeared in a salon. "Ali-Hondro," Larxene called.

"Ah Larxene," a thick French voice replied. A man came up to then bowing slightly before extending his hand out. Larxene offered her hand, which the man accepted and kissed. "I say you've come for the normal?"

"Unfortunately no, I have a fashion crisis. Are you up for a challenge?"

"Ali-Hondro can work miracles!" the man replied, "Show me the worst."

Larxene ripped off the hood to reveal Calixa's mess of hair. At once everyone single person in the salon gasped, covering there mouths in horror. "Oh my, you were not kidding mademoiselle Larxene." He walked around Calixa looking closely at her hair, making 'hmm' sounds while mindlessly rubbing his chin. After a few long moments were the salon was completely silent he finally said, "No! I can not, it is too much," he looked away shamefully.

"Come on Ali-Hondro. If you can save my hair from that blow dryer incident then you can fix this. You are a miracle worker."

Ali-Hondro looked back at Larxene, "You are right. I can do this!"

ORGANIZATIONDAYS

By the next day everyone in the Organization had learned about what happened to Calixa, but no one except Larxene had seen her new hairstyle yet because Calixa had been hiding in her room ever since returning. "Poor Cali," Xacrrie was saying to Neox as the two discussed it while walking down the hallway toward Calixa's room.

"What do you mean poor Cali?" Neox asked. "I think it's hilarious."

"But she couda been killed," the blonde pointed.

"Yeah, but the point is that she wasn't. She just lost all her hair, so we are now free to laugh at her." Xacrrie just gave him a look, "Come on Xaccie. I'm getting back at her for the times she laughed at my unfortunate predicaments."

They arrived at Calixa's door and Neox knocked. "Cali open up!"

"No! Go away!" Calixa's voice came.

"You can't hide forever!" Neox called back.

"I can certainly try."

"I'm coming in!" he announced and opened the door.

The room looked just as it always did. Calixa was sitting on her bed, hood up over her face. "Come on lets see the new hair," Neox said. She firmly shook her head no, "I promise I won't laugh."

Xacrrie walked over and pulled Calixa's hood down, who surprisingly did very little to stop her. Calixa looked like the picture of misery, her eyes were red and blotchy from crying so much and her face was pale. Her hair was probably the best part of the appearance, despite the fact that her hair was probably about as long as Xion's hair was Ali-Hondro did a good job at fixing a disaster. Regardless Neox still burst out laughing, which Calixa look like she was about to start crying again.

Xacrrie hit him in the shoulder, "Stop laughin, tis nae funny," she scolded.

"G-Get out! Both of you!" Calixa screamed throwing a pillow at them.

Xacrrie dragged Neox, who was still suppressing, out of the room as Calixa fell face down on her pillow and sobbed. A few hours later Calixa was angsting into her pillow when there was another knock on the door. "Go away!" she screamed.

"Cali," a timid voice replied. The door opened Xacrrie stuck her head in. Great she was the absolute last person Calixa wanted to talk to. "Get lost!" she growled at the blonde.

"Calixa, I jist wanted tae talk tae ye. Five minutes please?"

The carrot head sighed, it couldn't get any worse right? "Fine," she agreed sitting up as the Scottish girl walked in and sat on the bed.

"Ye know," Xacrrie started. "Where I come from girls never cut there hair. We jist let it grow until we die."

"If this is supposed to make me feel better, it's not working!"

"Don ye see wat I'm 'inting at?" Xacrrie asked. "Notice a difference between me and mi sista's hair?"

Calixa thought for a moment. When Bàli joined her hair length was just as her waist, by now it was a couple inches past her waist. Xacrrie's hair however was only about a half an inch past her shoulders. "Your hairs shorter then hers, but you're also younger," Calixa finally said.

Xacrrie just shook her head. "Girls bout mi age where I come from, there hair tis about rite down tae 'ere," she measured her finger to about an inch above her waist. "Ye know wat 'at means?"

"You cut your hair?"

"Nae intentionally," Xacrrie gave her an understanding look. "I know how it feels to suddenly lose all yer hair."

"Ok you have my attention," Calixa said finally getting at what she was hinting. "How did you lose your hair?"

Xacrrie shifted a bit on the bed smirking. "When I was six, me and Bàli we were at her friend Jacobs house. They were playing with matches," Calixa's mouth dropped open already picturing where this story was going. Xacrrie laughed and continued, "Bàli accidently dropped a lit candle on my head… ye can probably guess what 'appned," the blonde smirked, using her own sign language to show that her hair went up in flames.

Calixa burst out laughing, "You actually lost all your hair?"

"Nae all of it," Xacrrie joined in with the laughing. "While Jacobs ma sorted wat she could with mi hair, his da was giving him and Bàli the woopin of their lives."

The two girls laughed for a few moments, and then Calixa suddenly stopped. "Wasn't as short as my hair though, was it?"

Xacrrie shook her head, "Shorter actually. Ye know Luxord's hair. 'at's about 'ow short it was." Calixa smiled warmly at her, "Ye hair doesn't look 'at bad. An it'll grow bak. Mine did."

"Thanks, Xac… You're all right."

(Calixa's acceptance of Xacrrie, and a new appearance ^^ )

This one had a finished plot point but it was so short I had planned to attach it to another chapter. Sort of like having a A story, and a B story. Don't ask me which world they went to. I had left it that part blank because I hadn't decided yet.

I noticed that a reviewer asked if we ignored 358/2 Days because we hated the game. The answer is no we did not hate the game. For me personally that was one of my favorites. What happened was that we started the story as "day in the life of the Organization" story. From there it just went completely AU after that. Its just easier to state that it ignores the events of the game rather deal with a bunch of comments asking why we aren't following canon.
