After Lincoln and Clyde Levincia, they look around the city with excitement on their faces.
"This place is so awesome!" said Lincoln.
"I know, right?!" replied Clyde. "What do you want to do first?"
"I really want to do my gym battle as soon as possible." said Lincoln.
"Can we tour the city after that?" asked Clyde.
"Yeah, buddy; I really want to see this place, and I'm pretty sure my sisters wouldn't mind a look around also." said Lincoln. The two head down the bustling streets, looking around at everything until they see the Pokemon League building; once they did, they both run over to it and enter the lobby.
"Greetings." said a male receptionist who was at the front desk. "Are you here for a gym battle?"
"You bet I am!" said Lincoln with enthusiasm in his voice.
"Very well, just let me get your information and I'll register you right away." said the receptionist. Lincoln gives the man what he asked for and it's put into the computer.
"So, what's my Gym Test?" asked Lincoln.
"It's quite simple." said the receptionist. "You have to appear in one of Iono's livestream videos." Lincoln's eyes widen with surprise.
"Iono?! The Iono?! The most popular livestreamer in Paldea, Iono?!" replied Lincoln.
"Yes, and I'm not surprised that you know about her." said the receptionist. "Something you probably don't know is that in addition to being a livestreamer, she's also the Levincia gym leader."
"Really?! That is so cool!" said Lincoln. He suddenly gets a notification on his Rotom Phone, making him look at it to see a map of Levincia with a location marked on it.
"That spot on the map is where you'll need to go for your Gym Test." said the receptionist. "Head over there to begin."
"Thanks!" said Lincoln as he runs out the lobby doors with Clyde following after him. As they head for the location, Lincoln uses his Rotom Phone to call his family back in Royal Woods; the screen shows them, along with his friends, all gathered in the living room.
"Hi, Lincoln." said Lori.
"What are you up to, bro?" asked Luna.
"I'm in Levincia for my next gym battle." said Lincoln.
"What's it like there?" asked Rita. Lincoln gives everyone a look around the area as he heads to where his Gym Test is going to take place.
"So cool!" said Ronnie Anne.
"That city is literally amazing!" said Lori.
"Just so Luna, Lynn, and Lana know; I sent over Cyclizars for them a while ago." said Lincoln.
"Sweet!" said Lynn Jr. Lisa runs upstairs to get them from her machine.
"I'm heading for where my Gym Test is." said Lincoln.
"Just be careful not to get lost, son." said Lynn Sr.
"Don't worry, Dad; I got a map." said Lincoln. Two minutes later, he and Clyde arrive at a large, round, open platform with large video screens circling its perimeter.
"That looks like a great place to do a show at!" said Luna. Lincoln and Clyde look around to see lots of people, wearing Iono wigs and T-shirts, cheering loudly.
"There are sure a lot of people here." said Clyde as he looks at everyone who was there.
"I'm not surprised!" said Lincoln. "Iono is beyond awesome!"
"You got that right!" said an obvious Iono fan who heard him.
"So, where is she?" asked Clyde as he looks around.
"Ladies and gentlemen, are you ready?!" a voice Lincoln recognized calls out from above them, making everyone look up to see Iono, riding on top of what looked like a UFO with multiple magnets attached to the underside of it while a Rotom Phone was hovering in front of her. "Caught in my Electroweb, your eyes are mine! Whosawhatsit? It's me, Iono! Hello, hola, bonjour; and now, it's time for...The Iono Zone!"
"Wow! It's really her!" says Lincoln.
"You're the best, Iono!" shouts an Iono fan.
"We love you!" said another one.
"I watch your videos every day!" said another fan.
"Is that a Pokemon she's on?" asked Clyde as he and Lincoln point their Rotom Phones at the Pokemon that Iono was riding.
"Magnezone, the Magnet Area Pokemon, and the final form of Magnemite. As it zooms through the sky, this Pokémon seems to be receiving signals of unknown origin while transmitting signals of unknown purpose." said Clyde's Rotom Phone.
"That is so cool!" said Lincoln. As Iono was riding on the Magnezone, it suddenly veers sharply to the left, and due to the sleek metal covering of its body, Iono couldn't get a good foothold on it, causing her to slip off and fall towards the ground.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" shouts Iono as she plummets towards the platform surface.
"She's falling!" shouts one of Iono's fans.
"IONO!" shouts Lincoln as he runs towards where Iono was going to land while everyone else just watched in shock; thanks to all the physical training that Ms. Dendra made him and Clyde endure at the academy, he was fast enough to get to the spot in time to catch Iono in his arms, getting cheers from everyone.
"That was too close!" said an Iono fan.
"He saved her!" said another fan.
"Nice catch, buddy!" said Clyde.
"Way to go, bro!" said Luna.
"How did Lincoln get so fast?" asked Lynn Jr.
"Must've been all that training that Ms. Dendra lady made him do." said Lana.
"That was literally amazing!" said Lori. Lincoln looks at the livestreamer in his arms who had her eyes closed from fright.
"You okay, Iono?" Lincoln asked her. She slowly opens her eyes and sees that she was safe.
"I'm okay; thanks for saving..." Iono started to say before her eyes settle on Lincoln; they widen as a blush appears on her face.
"Is something wrong?" asked Lincoln.
"No." said Iono as she continues to look at Lincoln with awe in her eyes. "Who are you?"
"I'm Lincoln Loud." he says to her. "I'm your next gym challenger."
"Hmm, they didn't tell me my next challenger is a real cutie." said Iono in a dreamy tone of voice as she traces a heart on Lincoln's chest with her finger while resting her head on his arm, making him blush, his sisters squeal with delight, and Ronnie Anne growl.
"Umm...uhhhh... so, what's my Gym Test?" asked Lincoln as he continues to blush.
"Gym Test?" replied Iono before she suddenly remembers what she was doing there. "Oh, right; the Gym Test!" Lincoln sets Iono onto her feet and the two stand as together with Iono's Rotom Phone in front of them. "Hey, everyone; Iono here, live in Levincia, with my next challenger, cutie... I mean, Lincoln!" Another blush appears on Lincoln's face in response while his sisters were watching with large smiles on their faces.
"I think that Iono girl likes Linky!" said Leni with barely contained excitement.
"Wonder what Nemona would think?" asked Luan with a grin.
"So, Linky; tell us all where you're from." said Iono.
"Well, I'm from a city in America called Royal Woods." said Lincoln. "I'm currently a student at the Naranja Academy in Mesagoza."
"Do you have any siblings?" asked Iono. Lincoln shows her the screen on his Rotom Phone, showing his sisters, parents, and his friends.
"All the girls here, except for the one with the purple hoodie, are my sisters." said Lincoln, surprising Iono.
"You have that many sisters?!" exclaimed Iono.
"Hi, Iono!" said Lana.
"I, totes, love your hair!" said Leni. "And those matching hair accessories are super cute!" Iono then looks at Lincoln.
"Speaking of hair; why did you dye yours white, cutie?" asked Iono, making Lincoln blush again.
"Actually, this is my natural hair color." said Lincoln, surprising her.
"Really?" replied Iono as she strokes Lincoln's hair, making him blush some more; she does this for a full minute before stopping. "So, Lincoln; are you ready for your Gym Test?"
"Sure, I really wouldn't mind being in one of your videos, Iono!" said Lincoln. "In fact, I'm one of your subscribers!"
"I'm so happy to hear that!" said Iono. "And speaking of subscribers, my next challenge is for you to help me get more with a game I call 'Dance to the Stars'!"
The sound of flapping wings could be heard from overhead, making Lincoln, Clyde, and everyone else look up to see four, birdlike Pokemon with black plumage on their heads, with one being green, one being yellow, one being blue, and one being white; airlifting what looked like an arcade dance game towards the platform.
"What are those Pokemon?" asked Clyde as he points his Rotom Phone at the bird Pokemon.
"Squawkabilly, the Parrot Pokemon. These Pokémon prefer to live in cities. They form flocks based on the color of their feathers, and they fight over territory." said Clyde's Rotom Phone.
As the Squawkabillies set the game down onto the stage, Lincoln noticed that unlike the one he's seen at Gus' Games n' Grub, this one had, what looked like, thermometers on them that had neon light stars at the top.
"Here's how the Gym Test works; you and one of my subscribers will play the game; each time you do a dance step properly, the meter will rise; if you don't, it won't; if you fill your meter to the top first, then you pass the Gym Test!" said Iono. (a/n: We know it's not the Gym Test in the game, but we wanted to do at least one that's different from the canon one.)
"That sounds like so much fun!" said Lincoln as he starts doing some leg stretches in preparation for his Gym Test.
"I'm glad you think so!" said Iono. After Lincoln was done getting warmed up, he stands on his dance pad while his opponent steps onto his.
"I'll bet I can beat you in my sleep, dude!" said Lincoln's opponent.
"I'd have to agree." said Lincoln.
"Really?" replied his opponent.
"Yeah, because the only way you can beat me is in your dreams!" said Lincoln, getting a laugh from Iono, making Lincoln smile and blush, while his opponent frowns at him.
"Oh, it's on now!" said his opponent.
"Looks like our opponents are ready!" said Iono. "Now let's get this Gym Test started; READY...SET...GOOOO!"
The music starts (a/n: the music is the Levincia theme.) and the two start following the commands on the screen in front of them as they appear; at first, they were going at a slow and steady pace with both their meters rising at the same time as one another's; but as time went on, the pace got faster and faster. Lincoln's opponent was having a harder and harder time keeping up with the machine, plus he was starting to get tired, which led to him making a few mistakes which caused him to lag behind.
Lincoln, however, had a few advantages working in his favor; the fact that living in a hectic household nearly all his life has forced him to improve his reflexes by constantly dodging flying objects and explosions, all the experience he had with dance games, whether it was the one at Gus' Games n' Grub or his home version at the Loud house; plus all the stamina-increasing exercises that Ms. Dendra made him do; allowed him to begin dominating his opponent.
While Lincoln was doing his Gym Test, Iono's attention was solely on him; she looked at him with awe as he progressed through the game while trying to put some showmanship in some of the time.
'He's so cool.' Iono thought to herself.
Soon, Lincoln's opponent's stamina has reached its limits, and he stumbles off his dance pad which really helped extend Lincoln's lead; about a minute later, Lincoln's meter reaches the top, making the neon stars on it flashed brightly, indicating that he completed his challenge. Everyone watching on the platform, plus at the Loud house, all cheered for him.
"You did it, Lincoln!" cheered Clyde.
"I, totes, knew he could do it!" said Leni.
"Of course, he's done that dumb game dozens of times before." said Lynn Jr.
"That was awesome!" said Ronnie Anne. Lincoln walks over to his opponent, who was still lying on the ground, and holds out his hand to him; his opponent grabs it and he pulls him up to his feet, and the two shake hands.
"Good match." said Lincoln's opponent.
"Thanks, man." said Lincoln. Iono stares at Lincoln with awe.
'He's so nice.' Iono thinks to herself. She blushes as Lincoln walks over to her.
"So did I pass the Gym Test, Iono?" asked Lincoln. Iono shakes her head to get herself back to her senses.
"Y-Yeah, of course you did, cutie!" said Iono, making Lincoln blush again at the 'cutie' part. "And the winner is Lincoln!"
"All right!" cheered Lincoln. Iono's Rotom Phone floats over to her, making her look at it.
"Wow, look at all these views!" said Iono with excitement. "And my subscriber count is rising faster than your dance meter!"
"I'm glad that you're happy!" said Lincoln, making Iono blush again.
"And next up on our video; I'll be battling my knight in shining armor, or should I say white dress shirt and orange shorts; in a gym battle; so, keep watching and don't miss the action!" said Iono.
Lincoln has passed his Gym Test, and possibly gained an admirer in the process; now he will be facing Iono in a gym battle. Will he win? Wait and find out.
