Previously on Poké Rangers Dino Charge…
After years of wandering in space, Ferro Fett and his gang of bounty hunters find Earth after being blown away from Drake, the keeper of the Fossil Gems. Professor Rowan said it was important that Leona finds more of the fossils due to the history behind them. Joe was on his way to Hoenn until he met a man named Atticus, who tells him the way to Hoenn is blocked. Ferro Fett unleashes his first beast to start searching, only for Leona and Lisa to learn the two fossils infused them to become Poké Rangers! Meanwhile, a new trainer finds something new, only to be attacked by Shockhound…
Chapter 2: Powers of the Past Part 2
The trainer stared at Shockhound intently as he stretched out his saber. His eyes were full of anger as he went to stretch out his saber. His saber was charged with yellow and red electric energy. Shockhound struck his saber across, revealing red and yellow lightning bolts, heading for the trainer. The trainer's eyes grew as he closed his eyes. Immediately, a green energy beam hit Shockhound, distracting him from the attack. Stumbling, he turned around to see the trainer's Meganium. The Meganium's petals began to glow bright pink as he looked at Shockhound.
"Meganium, Petal Blizzard!"
Meganium released a cluster of pink petals that turned into an energy blast. Shockhound blocked each of the petals. Turning around, he didn't realize Flygon would come across with his Dragon Tail attack. Swooping across, Shockhound blocked it and grabbed Flygon by the neck, throwing him across. Flygon flew across, landing on his feet. Taking a breath, Flygon turned around as Shockhound turned to see all five Pokémon.
"If I can knock out a few Prehistoric Pokémon, you guys are easy!" he shouted.
Immediately, the trainer turned around as he looked at the Dome Fossil that was on the ground. Picking it up, he looked at Shockhound as he went to strike Typhlosion. Typhlosion dodged the attack and clenched its fist, creating a ball of fire. The trainer knew it was his Fire Punch attack. This trainer doesn't like to shout out calls in battles. He expects his Pokémon to know their attacks and how to defend. Shockhound laughed as he parried Typhlosion's Fire Punch attack with his claw. He clenched his claw on Typhlosion's fist and released an electric shock. Typhlosion roared as he fell down. Feraligatr and Flygon jumped across as they went to strike. Flygon opened his mouth as an amber energy beam struck out. The Hyper Beam went straight toward Shockhound, defending his trainer. Shockhound broke the attack up as Feraligatr went to release a Hydro Pump attack. Gallons of water hit Shockhound as he was getting soaked, but no damage. He then turned to see a yellow lightning bolt appear from the sky. He quickly released his saber to block the attack. It was coming from Ampharos, using Thunder. He then turned around as he spun around, releasing a yellow lightning shock wave. Everyone fell to the ground, knocked out. The trainer stood in shock, not realizing that Pokémon couldn't lay a heavy hit.
"Like I said, no Pokémon can strike me!" he said, looking at the trainer, "Now, it's just you and me."
Shockhound tightened the hold on his saber and started running toward the trainer. The trainer turned around as he went to grab his own weapon that was on the ground. Releasing it was also a sword, Shockhound went to strike him, only for the trainer to defend. The metal was so strong, the blade broke his own saber as the trainer was hit. As the trainer cringed, he saw the blade on his neck, touching his skin. However, Shockhound couldn't dig deeper. He turned around as a green aura surrounded his body. Shockhound noticed it was coming from the Energy Crystal. A weapon started to appear in front of the trainer, replacing his own sword. The blade was bright yellow and it connected to a black and yellow hilt that was shaped like a Relicanth. He also had a yellow and black pistol that had a Tyrantrum on it. Immediately, Shockhound jumped out as the trainer jumped up. Shockhound noticed as the Green Energy Crystal went right into the trainer's pocket.
"I will end you!" he shouted.
The trainer grabbed the saber as he started charging forward, releasing a bolt of yellow lighting. The trainer dodged the attack as he jumped up with the saber, slashing Shockhound. Sparks flew as Shockhound saw the scratch. He turned around as he went to attack again, only for the trainer to pull out the pistol, shooting him down. As he was hit, Shockhound turned around as he saw two blasts of golden energy shoot him in the stomach. The trainer turned around, noticing two people who he never saw before. Joe and Atticus had their pistols aimed at him as Shockhound looked around. Seeing radiant beams of green, black and blue, Shockhound turned to see this.
"Energy Crystals can bond with humans?" he asked, looking at them. He put his sword down, "This isn't over. Those Energy Crystals will be mine!"
Stabbing his saber into the ground, a yellow energy beam surrounded him as he disappeared. The trainer fell to his knees, noticing Atticus and Joe walking toward him.
"Hey," said Joe, running over, "Are you okay?"
The trainer nodded as he looked around, "I got to get my Pokémon to the Pokémon Center. They never fought an enemy like that before."
"Yeah… he almost is as powerful as some of those guys back in Hoenn," said Atticus, looking at Joe. Joe nodded as he turned to the trainer. The trainer looked a little clueless from what the two were talking about. Joe gulped as he turned around, "There's more to it. My name is Joe."
"My name is Atticus, it's a pleasure to meet you," he said, "And what about you?"
"… Grayson. Grayson Himura," he said.
The three Energy Crystals started glowing as they were reacting to each other. Grayson looked up as he turned to Joe and Atticus. Joe turned around as he looked at Atticus.
"Weird," said Atticus, looking at them. He then turned around as he looked at his Pokémon, "Well, let's get these six to a Pokémon Center."
Two hours later…
"Really?" asked Professor Rowan.
Professor Rowan was impressed as Leona and Lisa revealed the Energy Crystals, shining in red and pink energy. Lisa turned around as she looked at Professor Rowan. Lisa was surprised as she was looking at the map, "Wait… there are more of these?"
"Yes," said Professor Rowan. His excitement of Lisa's curiosity wanted him to explain more, "So, there are 10 Energy Crystals that fell here long ago. I have a feeling those energy crystals can unlock something magical. Granted the tapestry says other things. But, what do you know from looking at them?"
"Well," said Leona, looking at her crystal, "We think they may have been linked to the Prehistoric Pokémon. We fought some crazy ice creature."
"Not to mention there was a red robotic Tyrantrum and a pink robotic Bastiodon," said Lisa, waving her finger, "They were inside fossils."
"Then… that means…," said Professor Rowan, "Probably eight more of those fossils have those same readings… they may have been bonded with the crystals years ago."
The professor turned around to look at the map. He then turned around as he looked at Leona and Lisa. This was the perfect opportunity for Leona to learn more. She turned around as she looked at them, "Why don't you go to Oreburgh City?"
"Oreburgh City?" asked Leona.
"Oreburgh City is known for digging fossils. Roark, the Gym Leader, helps facilitate the Oreburgh Museum and demonstrates knowledge on the Fossil Pokémon. You can see for yourself!"
Lisa turned around as she looked at Leona, "Well… can I check in at my hotel first in Jubilife on the way and then we can go?"
"Oh, of course!" said Leona, "I know you have that festival tomorrow. I can drop you off and head on over."
Lisa grinned as she looked at her. The curiosity of the fossils spiked her interest, "But, the fossils really made me think that I should also go with you too. I am curious to know more about this. Kanto never had something like this."
"Ah," said Leona, grinning as she turned around, "Well, I guess we can go."
Professor Rowan grinned as he turned to them, "Let me know what you find."
Leona nodded as she said her goodbyes to Professor Rowan. Leona and Lisa opened the exit door from the lab and walked down the grassy hills to Leona's jeep. As the door opened, Lisa and Leona hopped into the jeep. Pressing the gas pedal, the jeep managed to make the gate, only to see three people walking along the road. Slowing the jeep down, Leona turned around as they saw one guy hunched over with two others. Getting closer, Leona stopped the car as Lisa turned to see them. It looked like there was a tough battle. Lisa narrowed her eyes as she saw the yellow and black blasters around the waste, almost exactly like them. Leona opened the door as she hopped down.
"Hey," Leona said, running over, "Do you need help?"
Within a few minutes, Leona managed to get them in the jeep as they were driving toward Jubilife City. Leona and Lisa learn that they were Joe, Atticus and an injured Grayson.
"So…," said Leona, "Grayson, right?"
"Yeah," Grayson responded, sitting in the back, "What's up?"
"What happened?" asked Leona.
"So…," said Grayson, gulping, "I was training my Pokémon, getting ready to do some training for some competition next week. I found this fossil, which had this…"
Grayson, wincing in pain, picked up his green energy crystal. Leona, looking in her rear-view mirror, could see the green light shining. Leona put the brakes on, slowing the jeep down. Leona and Lisa took out their crystals as they were shining. Red and pink crystals were reacting with it. Joe and Atticus noticed the crystals reacting. Blue and black lights surrounded it as all five were glowing.
"This is all… unreal," said Joe, looking at them.
"What do you mean?" asked Lisa, looking at Joe. Joe sighed as he turned to them, "Keep driving… I have a theory."
Meanwhile…
Ferro Fett's ship was still orbiting the Earth. The ship was slowing across around the globe. Inside, Ferro Fett was sitting down as he was looking at the ship, grinning as he was looking at the world. He grinned as he was looking at the place, "It's a shame I have to destroy this place once we find the jewels. This would be a good vacation home."
"Ferro Fett, come in!"
The speaker was coming Ferro Fett's console. It was Cremelia on the speaker. From what he could tell, it sounded urgent.
"What's up, darling?" he asked.
"Shockhound is injured! Icewolf is as well!"
"What?" asked Ferro Fett.
It was not like Ferro Fett's first officer or any of his other hunters to get struck by something. He carefully got up as he headed off the bridge of his ship. Walking down the hall, seeing the blue lights underneath the floor. The green lights were shining down as he turned right. As he turned right, he opened the door, seeing a few beds and Cremelia, who had the first aid kit, getting Shockhound back. Icewolf was also damaged.
"What happened?" he asked, "The Energy Crystals should've been easy pickings."
"It would be if five people didn't bond with them," said Shockhound.
"Five people… humans?" asked Ferro Fett in shock.
"Yes," said Icewolf, "What's worse… a robotic Tyrantrum and a Bastiodon knocked me down! Two of those humans shot me!"
Showing his wounds, Ferro Fett was surprised. The wounds were somewhat superficial, but then he turned to see Shockhound's huge line. Shockhound looked at him, "I watched as the fossil and the trainer bonded. He struck me down… two other people hit me too."
"So…," said Ferro Fett, looking at the medical bay, "It seems five energy crystals are found. And humans have bonded with them?"
"It seems like there's more to it," said Cremelia, "Didn't-?"
"We thought we ended them…," said Ferro Fett, looking at him, "It was done so that way we can grab the crystals and finish the job. Looks like we will have to destroy every inch of Sinnoh to get those Energy Crystals."
He turned around as he looked at Shockhound, "Tell Turnchou to send Mooks to Sinnoh. It's time we send a message."
"Gladly," said Shockhound, nodding in agreement.
Meanwhile…
Hours later, the rangers were driving on the road to Oreburgh City. Route 203 was desolate, but beautiful with the trees surrounding the area. The sun was still heading toward the western side, signaling it was afternoon. Grayson's Pokémon were healed, and Lisa's stuff was dropped in Jubilife City. As the trainers continued driving, Leona's face was full of excitement as they saw a mountain range ahead.
"Is that Mt. Coronet?" asked Grayson.
"Yes," said Atticus, looking at it, "But, we aren't going there… we are going into another cave first."
"I've heard stories about that place," said Grayson, looking at them, "Diagla, Palkia… it is so cool."
Lisa turned around as she looked at Joe, "So, Joe… the Poké Rangers… they were actual people that wore suits, had Pokémon powers and destroyed villains that harmed the world?"
"Yeah," said Joe, "I'm friends with a few."
"That is SO cool," said Atticus, grinning, "Bro, I didn't know you had Hoenn Rangers friends. Maybe they would know."
Joe turned around as he looked at Atticus, "Yeah… about that."
Atticus looked at Joe. It all made sense why Joe was going to leave Sinnoh in the first place. Joe looked at him as he put two and two together, "Were you friends in that horrific battle in Slateport City?"
Joe slowly nodded as he looked at Atticus, "I understand."
"I haven't heard from them since that battle. Every zord destroyed… Hoenn under fire… it makes no sense. Especially with Rayquaza back," said Joe.
Immediately, there was a popping noise coming from one of the tires. Leona turned around as she heard something rumbling. Leona sighed as she pulled the jeep over. Turning around, the rangers noticed a flat tire on the back side. Leona sighed as she looked at the jeep, "Just our luck."
Joe turned around as he went to grab the tire that was attached to the jeep's trunk. Luckily, Leona had a spare. Atticus grabbed the jack that was also in the back of the car as the two went to fix it. As Joe and Atticus managed to remove the tire, it took a few minutes just to get it out. It looks like whoever did the tires last did not know how to bolt it. As the spare was put on, Grayson managed to look at the tire.
"Hey," said Grayson, "Something is weird about it."
"What do you mean?" asked Atticus, "Leona may have rolled over something rocky."
"That's the thing… it wasn't popped. It was blown," said Grayson.
Immediately, green beams surrounded the trainers as they landed on the ground. Turning around, Joe noticed something very weird. Grayson looked at them as well. Leona gulped turning around to see tons of humanoid Maractus, but they were all white instead of green. Instead of pink flowers, they were green and had red eyes that were shining. The Maractus also had green wavy hair down to their shoulders. Leona froze as Joe turned around, "It looks like you've seen them before."
"Uh… yeah," said Leona, gulping.
"Let's use some Pokémon!" shouted Atticus, "Empoleon!"
"Meganium!" shouted Lisa
"Cinderace!" shouted Leona.
"Ampharos!" shouted Grayson.
Four Poké Balls were thrown as their Pokémon was released. Joe remembered from experience about something like this.
"Cinderace, Pyro Ball!"
"Meganium, Solar Beam!"
"Ampharos, Thunder!"
"Empoleon, Hydro Pump!"
Immediately, blasts of solar energy and water emerged from Meganium and Empoleon. Cinderace released a ball of fire. Ampharos released a blast of yellow lighting from her ears. Combining the attacks as one, the Mooks were hit by one stroke. The Mooks were damaged, but they couldn't go down defeated. They were struggling to get up as they tried to strike.
"What?" asked Atticus.
He then turned around, looking for Joe. Atticus looked to see Joe ducking the Mooks. Joe blocked each move as he kicked two of them in the stomach. Using one of the trees, he climbed up as he took out his blaster, shooting all of them down. The Mooks landed on their back, turning into green and black dust. Joe hopped down, landing on his feet.
"Did you not hear I word I said in the car?" asked Joe, "Your Pokémon's attacks won't be effective against something like these. You are going to have to do hand to hand combat or shoot them down!"
Atticus sighed as he turned around, "Good point."
As the Mooks started to recover, they headed straight toward Atticus. Atticus grabbed one by the neck and threw the creature to the ground. Punching it in the face, he rolled over as he kicked another one in the stomach. One of them was about to strike from behind, but it was slashed by Grayson's saber.
"Thank you," said Atticus.
Grayson nodded as he slashed the Mooks that were surrounding him. Slashing each one, the Mooks started to melt.
Leona and Lisa took out their blasters. Lisa turned around as she saw a few arrive. Pulling the trigger, the Mooks were hit by the attack. Leona turned around as she shot a few of them. As Leona turned around as a few of them were shooting at her. Taking cover in the bushes, she tripped and fell, seeing the red crystal glowing. Grabbing it, she saw her energy crystal and blaster glowing.
"Interesting," said Leona, "I wonder…"
Immediately, Leona put the energy crystal in the blaster and then closed it. The blaster began to glow in a red aura as she went to a fetal position. More blasts were coming across, shooting the rock wall. Getting up, she got out of the bushes and pulled the trigger. A Tyrantrum struck out, destroying the Mooks. The trainers stood in shock as they were looking at what Leona discovered. Joe grinned as he turned around, "So, that's what that does!"
"Really?" asked Atticus.
Joe, Atticus, Grayson and Lisa hopped down as they inserted their energy crystals. Closing the blasters, auras of black, blue, green and pink surrounded them as they pulled the trigger. An Armaldo, Carracosta, Kabutops and a Bastiodon struck out, shooting the creatures down. Leona gasped as she noticed them.
'Those were the same ones in that dream,' thought Leona.
As the group walked together, Leona and the others looked at their crystals, popping out of their blasters.
"It seems the Energy Crystals did their job!"
The trainers turned around as they noticed someone walking toward them. Leona froze as she saw a man with a black cloak over his head. Removing his hood, he had greyish-blackish hair, more than it was from when Leona saw him. He had red eyes and some hair under his bottom lip. He also had a navy, blue staff with a golden orb on it. Next to him, there was a man who had brown hair with brown eyes with glasses. He had an architect suit with a yellow helmet. He also had a green backpack with a pickaxe.
"Roark?" asked Atticus.
"Ah, so nice to meet you," said Roark, grinning, "How's it going, Unova Champ?"
"Doing great," said Atticus, looking at him, "Who is this guy?"
"My name is Drake," he said, looking at them, "I am the keeper of the Energy Crystals that you seek."
"… Energy Crystals…," said Leona, looking at him. Drake exchanged glances with Leona. Leona looked at him as she gulped. She saw him in that dream, but never up close. It was like Drake was seeing something into her soul. Roark, who was there continued, "That was an awesome battle. Granted, I never expect our region to be under attack."
"Under attack?" asked Grayson, looking at them, "With these Poké Rangers Joe is talking about… blasters and swords… this is very unreal."
"Well," said Drake, looking at him, "If you do not believe me… then maybe you need to come with me."
"To where?" asked Grayson.
Drake snapped his fingers. A blue and white aura surrounded them as they were engulfed in a flash of white. The wind picked up as they appeared in a place. It is a golden and yellow room with built-in systems around them. There were also four palm trees in the corner. The team turned around as they saw a crystal fossil table with a few chairs. On the walls, there were two walls. One wall had the numbers 1 through 5 and the other wall had the numbers 6 through 10. The trainers turned around, seeing the energy crystals out of their pockets float toward numbers 1 through 5. As blue beams surrounded the crystals. The rangers noticed a bottom drawer. Joe walked over, noticing three black batteries with the number 2 on them. Looking at it, he was intrigued.
"Wait…," said Joe, looking at Drake, "Where is this place?"
"Welcome to Dino Paradise. Poké Rangers HQ," said Roark.
"Poké Rangers?" asked the team. Joe looked at the battery. He then turned to Roark, "You mean…"
"Yes…," said Roark, "Pokémon Rangers bonded with Pokémon to defeat evil. And as of right now, you guys are the only ones left to stop this bounty hunter."
"Let me guess… is his name Ferro Fett?"
The rangers turned around as Leona walked over, "I had a dream about him. The Mooks destroyed some type of Prehistoric Kingdom. Never expected a dream to be a reality."
"Bounty Hunter?" asked Joe, looking at Leona.
Drake intervened as he went to speak, "The Energy Crystals were developed many years ago, during the time of when the universe was first created. They were first discovered by the Prehistoric Kingdom, a kingdom devoted to preserving the life of Prehistoric Pokémon. I was part of the royal household, hoping to preserve it. Well, Ferro Fett discovered it and destroyed everything and the kingdom. The king and queen's last resort was to bring the gems to a different place. I was able to go through time and I arrived here in Sinnoh during their Prehistoric Age. I fused ten different Pokémon with those crystals. Ferro Fett, however, followed me. With what was left, I was able to send myself and them away. I managed to land in Oreburgh City, where I met Roark. Roark and I worked together. With help, I was able to create this place and be able to create the weapons that you see."
"So, those crystals automatically had weapons for us," said Atticus, "We just never used their full power yet."
"Correct, Atticus," said Drake, "Using these…"
He walked over to pick up one of Leona's batteries. It was red with the number 1 on it, "This is a Fossil Battery. Pressing it will charge the battery and you place it in the blaster. Spinning the blaster will activate your armor to face off against Ferro Fett."
"Wow," said Joe, looking at it, "But, what about the other fossils?"
"Well, you are now the guardians of those crystals. We do need to find the five other energy crystals. Their crystals were engraved when the meteors hit Earth years ago," said Drake.
Immediately, Drake's staff began to glow in a red aura as the table began to glow. The trainers turned around, noticing Icewolf. Icewolf laughed as he and his army of Mooks were destroying Sandgem Town, trashing the place.
"Leave this place on fire until we find those crystals!"
Joe turned around as he stretched his hand. Stretching it, the blue energy surrounding his crystal disappeared as he grabbed it. He picked up his three batteries as he walked toward the entrance. Leona nodded, stretching her hand. The red crystal was caught as she caught her batteries. Walking toward the exit, Atticus, Grayson and Lisa looked at them.
"You aren't going?" asked Joe.
"Well… this seems very unreal," said Atticus.
"I still got to think things out," said Lisa.
Grayson grumbled, "I don't know… this doesn't seem right."
Joe and Leona looked at each other. Drake turned to Joe, "Just shoot the floor and you will teleport."
Joe nodded as they both took out their blasters and shot the floor. Red and black energy beams surrounded them as they disappeared.
Sandgem Town…
Arriving at Sandgem Town, flashes of black and red appeared as Joe and Leona turned around. Mooks were scurrying around the streets, shooting down and destroying homes. Immediately, the two of them started running toward the town, helping people. Joe turned around as he saw a few Mooks head straight toward a group of young children with wild Bidoof. Joe kicked three of them in the stomach as they backed away. He turned around as he looked at the kids, "Get out of here!"
As the kids started dashing away, he heard someone snarling and laughing. Turning around, he looked to see Shockhound appear.
"If it isn't the cowboy himself… defending people," said Shockhound, spitting on the ground.
Joe remained unfazed as Shockhound withdrew his weapon, "I can't wait to take that crystal from your neck."
Joe chuckled as he withdrew his blaster, "You are going to have to kill me first."
Shockhound stretched his saber as he charged in. Joe ducked as he swept his feet. Shockhound fell backwards as he kicked Joe in the stomach. Joe turned around as he grabbed his blaster, shooting Shockhound. Shockhound blocked the energy blasts as he dashed through. Electric bolts surrounded Joe as he was hit. Joe flew backwards, breaking into a window, landing on someone's TV. As the TV crashed, Shockhound bolted through as he went to stab him. Immediately, Shockhound missed as Joe rolled across. He pulled the trigger, shooting Shockhound down. Shockhound tried to get the sword out, but it was stuck in the wall. Joe grinned as he looked at him.
"Looks like I got the upper hand. Have fun!" said Joe.
"Why you little-," he said, trying to grab the sword out of the wall, "This wall is super thick!"
Back on the beach of Sandgem Town, Icewolf laughed as he was shooting down and burning the area. He grinned as he looked at the ice sculptures of humans and Pokémon. Mooks threw down other people as they landed on the beach. The creature laughed as he raised his claws.
"This is so much fun! No Pokémon or human can stop us!" he said, "Burn this whole town until we get those energy-."
He was interrupted by a laser blast. Landing on the sand, he looked up as Leona arrived with her blaster.
"You…," he snarled, "What makes you think you can stop me?"
Leona walked toward him, "I know what you're after now. As a matter of fact, I know what you and your 'leader' is doing. Don't mess with me."
"What do you know?" asked Icewolf.
Leona raised her energy crystal. A red aura was shining around it as she turned to him, "Looking for this?"
"Ah, I can't wait to grab it," he said.
"Come get it, wolfy…"
Immediately, the Mooks started charging after Leona. Leona shot a few of them down as she flipped backwards. She kicked two of them behind her as she pulled the trigger, piercing the bodies of the Mooks. She flipped forward as she continued her battle, destroying the creatures as they landed on the ground with her blaster. Leona turned around as Icewolf went to strike. Icewolf struck his claw as Leona dodged the attack. Leona turned around as Icewolf used an Ice Beam attack. The ice beam struck across as explosions appeared. Leona yelled, landing on her knees. Icewolf walked over, laughing as he reached for her energy crystal.
"It is mine," he shouted, bending down.
Immediately, a loud roar appeared as he turned around. Screaming, Leona's Tyrantrum landed on the ground. The roar was so deafening that Icewolf fell to his knees. Leona carefully climbed up on all fours as she climbed up. Icewolf turned around as Leona stood on her own two feet.
"I think it's time to give you a taste of what this energy crystal can do!" she shouted.
She reached for pocket, releasing a red battery with the number 1 on it. Immediately, her energy crystal began to glow as energy went into the battery.
"Fossil Charger, Energize!"
Pressing the button on the battery, a Tyrantrum roar appeared out of it. Leona took out her blaster and placed the Fossil Charger in the slot, closing the blaster.
Energize, Tyrantrum!
Leona stepped forward with her right foot and then stepped with her left foot to bring her right foot back, spinning around toward Icewolf, she spun the spinner on her blaster. A red energy aura surrounded the blaster as she stretched her pistol to the sky, "Unleash the Power!"
A red aura struck out as a Tyrantrum emerged. Heading down toward Leona, the Tyrantrum opened its mouth as she was bathed in a red suit. Leona had a red spandex suit. She had silver rims around her white gloves. She also had silver rims around her red boots. She had a silver belt with a golden belt buckle with a Tyrantrum logo. On her chest she had a silver dinosaur like design. The head of the dinosaur was on Leona's left shoulder, and she had a thick yellow line that went diagonal. There was a single black line that zig-zagged diagonally, almost like teeth. The Tyrantrum appeared on the top left-hand corner of her chest. Finally, her helmet was red and it was shaped like a Tyrantrum.
"Wow," Leona said, looking at the suit, "I feel super energized."
"What in the world?" asked Icewolf.
Immediately, a green beam struck down from the sky as the Mooks that were defeated began to grow. As they combined into two beasts, they looked like regular Maractus with black helmets and golden armor. They also had green cannons. Tyrantrum roared. Leona nodded as she took out her belt buckle, learning this on her own as she saw her three batteries. She took out one, "Tyrantrum Charger, Energize!"
Pressing the button, she threw it at Tyrantrum. The fossil charger grew bigger as it combined with Tyrantrum.
Tyrantrum Zord, activated!
The Tyrantrum Zord started thrashing the mega-sized Mooks as Icewolf turned around.
"Why you little…"
Meanwhile…
"It is true!"
Atticus was watching the battle from the chair as he was seeing what was going on. Leona, morphed, striking Icewolf down. Lisa nodded as she turned around, looking at Grayson. Grayson then turned around as he was watching Joe trying to chase after the battle. Shockhound was closer to him. Grayson stood up from the chair as he stretched his hand. His energy crystal appeared from the location as he went to grab his Fossil Chargers.
"Where are you going?" asked Lisa.
"They need our help… and now that I see that this isn't a dream, I can see we need to help them," said Grayson.
Lisa nodded slowly as she stood up, "Well, I said I was going to help save lives as a career. This is perfect hands-on experience."
Stretching out her hand, the pink energy crystal appeared. She went to go grab her Fossil Chargers. Turning around, Atticus looked at them. He clenched his fists as he went to stretch out his hand. The blue energy crystal appeared in his hand as he went to grab the Fossil Chargers as well. The three stood in a line as they aimed for the floor with their blasters. Blue, green and pink auras surrounded them as they teleported.
Meanwhile…
Joe flipped over as he destroyed the last group of Mooks. Panting and sweating, he turned around as he saw Icewolf fighting Leona. However, he saw Leona was doing more than her fair share. Quickly, Joe went to grab his Fossil Charger.
"She can't have all the fun!" he said.
He then turned around as he heard a snarling yell. Turning around, Shockhound was super close to striking him down. Before the lights flashed before him, blasts of energy shot out, shooting Shockhound down. Joe looked up as Lisa, Atticus and Grayson arrived.
"Guys," said Joe, "What-?"
Grayson turned around as he looked at him, "I owe you my life for what you did earlier."
"You were right… we should be out here helping," said Lisa, looking at Atticus.
"They've done too much. We need to stop them. Where's Leona?" asked Atticus.
Joe pointed to the beach as the others were watching. Immediately, Leona was trying to fight them on the ground while Tyrantrum was fighting the mega-sized ones. Turning around Shockhound went to strike them down as he got up from the dirt, "I am going to pry them off of your hands."
Joe, Atticus, Grayson and Lisa stood in a line. Joe reached for his Fossil Charger. The others followed suit as they each had their own battery.
"Fossil Chargers, Energize!"
Pressing the button, the rangers did their little dance, following Leona's as they turned around with their weapons. The rangers placed their Fossil Chargers in their blasters and closed them.
Energize, Armaldo!
Energize, Carracosta!
Energize, Kabutops!
Energize, Bastiodon!
The four rangers spun their blasters as they reached for the sky, "Unleash the Power!"
Pulling the trigger, an Armaldo, a Carracosta, a Kabutops and a Bastiodon struck out of the Fossil Blasters, swooping down as they transformed into their suits. Each of them had the exact same design as Leona's. Joe's was the black version of the others with Armaldo prints on the belt buckle and chest. His helmet was also Armaldo shaped. Atticus was the blue version of the others with Carracosta prints and his helmet was similar to a Carracosta head. Grayson wore the green version of the team with the Kabutops prints and his helmet had Kabutops features. Finally, Lisa had Bastiodon features while wearing a pink suit with a Bastiodon helmet.
"What in the world?" asked Shockhound.
"Dino Charge Black!"
"Dino Charge Blue!"
"Dino Charge Green!"
"Dino Charge Pink!"
Shockhound struck out his saber. As yellow lightning bolts struck out, the four rangers dodged the attack as they grabbed their blasters. Shooting them down, Shockhound was hit as he tried to land. Looking up, he bounced back to strike. His eyes grew as Grayson turned around with his saber.
"Fossil Saber!" he shouted. His saber arrived that he picked up from when he touched the fossil. Slashing Shockhound, Shockhound dodged the attack as he went to strike. Shockhound slashed the other rangers, however Grayson managed to parry. Before Shockhound could do anything, Grayson pressed his belt buckle, releasing a green battery. Opening the hilt of his saber, he noticed a space to put a battery.
"Kabutops Charger, energize!"
Placing the charger in the blade, a green aura surrounded his saber. He jumped up as he had his blade overhead.
"Kabutops Slash!"
A green line struck Shockhound as he was hit. Shockhound yelled as he fell to his knees. The other rangers turned to Grayson as he looked up. Shockhound took a deep breath, "It isn't over, especially for you, Green!"
A yellow aura surrounded Shockhound as he disappeared.
"Wow," said Joe, "Talk about learning quickly."
Grayson nodded, looking at his saber, "We can talk later, Leona's in trouble."
Meanwhile…
Leona was kicked to the ground with full force as Icewolf went out for an attack. Icewolf raised his claw as he slashed Leona again, causing her to spin around and land on the sandy beach head first. With her legs on the ground, Leona looked up to see Icewolf head toward her. Getting in a fighting position, Icewolf grinned as he raised his claw.
"Say goodbye!" he shouted.
Raising his hand, four beams of energy pierced his armor. Turning around, Icewolf had a surprised look on his face. Leona looked up to see Joe, Atticus, Grayson and Lisa with their Fossil Blasters. Running toward Leona, Joe helped her up as the others stood behind her. Icewolf turned to them.
"It's nice to see all of you," Leona said.
"Well," Atticus responded, "You and Joe motivated us."
Lisa grinned as she patted Leona on her right shoulder, "Shall we give this guy a taste of our medicine?"
"I will give you a taste of my own medicine!" shouted Icewolf.
"Thanks, but your medicine is expired," said Leona, standing in the middle. She pressed her belt buckle as another Fossil Charger appeared. The others followed suit as they grabbed their chargers.
"Fossil Charger, Energize!"
Opening the Fossil Blaster, the rangers placed their Fossil Chargers in their blasters. Closing the Fossil Blaster, the five rangers raised their weapons toward Icewolf. Spinning the blasters, the rangers blasters began to charge and glow in a red, black, blue, green and pink aura.
"Fossil Power Beam!"
Pulling the trigger, the Fossil Blasters relinquished each ranger color beam and then combined into one energy pulse. The energy pulse, shining with golden energy pierced through Icewolf. Icewolf yelled as he fell to his knees as the rangers saw him explode into dust. Joe turned around as he looked at his blaster, "This actually packs a punch."
Suddenly, the rangers began to feel vibrations from the ground. Landing on the ground, Leona turned around to see Tyrantrum on the ground. The Mooks were coming after Tyrantrum. Leona dashed over as she hopped on Tyrantrum's head, trying to stay stable. Tyrantrum jumped up, seeing two Giant Mooks heading toward him. Leona reached for her belt buckle as she picked up her last Fossil Charger.
"Tyrantrum Charger, energize!"
Placing the last battery in the Fossil Blaster, a red aura surrounded her blaster as she aimed toward the two Giant Mooks. The Tyrantrum opened its mouth as a bluish-red aura surrounded his mouth.
"Double Dragon Pulse!"
A wave of blue and red draconic energy was unleashed, incinerating the Giant Mooks. As the smell of smoke erupted, their bodies disintegrated. Tyrantrum roared as it lowered its head, letting Leona leave. Leona walked down as the others met her. Leona turned around as she looked at Tyrantrum. Tyrantrum nodded as a red aura surrounded the zord, disappearing. Leona grinned as she turned to the others.
"Well," said Leona, "I say that's a victory!"
Meanwhile…
Ferro Fett looked at the screen in agony. He threw his table and threw it to the ground, hearing the glass break. Turnchou, Cremelia and Maracturne looked at him as he went on a rampage. He turned around as he saw Shockhound, who stood injured.
"You thought you had them… what was that? Who are they?"
"I wish I knew," said Shockhound, "But, like I said, those humans must've bonded with those fossils."
Ferro Fett sighed as he looked at the group, "Oh this is going to be fun… and I am not retreating."
The others turned around as Ferro Fett sat in his seat, "If we have to finish the job, it's time we start with trying to rip those Energy Crystals from their bare hands if we have to."
His minions nodded as they turned around to look at the planet.
Back at Dino Paradise…
"Yo!" said Roark, looking at the team.
The Dino Charge Rangers walked toward the center part of the hideout. Roark was surprised as he was looking at them, "That was insane… actually, it was pretty cool."
"Well," said Leona, looking at the one side of the wall. She placed her Red Energy Crystal in the charging station while placing her batteries to charge, "I never knew these energy crystals have that power!"
"Exactly," said Joe, looking at them, "When I had this, I never knew there would be more secrets."
Atticus turned around as he placed his Energy Crystal in the same spot, "And it's going to be an interesting time."
"That's what you think."
The rangers looked up as they noticed Drake sitting down. Drake turned around as he looked at the rangers. He managed to sit up from the chair, attempting to get up. Looking at them, he gulped as he turned to Roark. Roark nodded as he turned to them, "Professor Rowan's lab is somewhat destroyed due to the Sandgem Town invasion. He said he won't be able to meet."
"That's horrible!" said Leona, "But, what about the -."
"The Pokémon are unharmed," said Roark, giving Leona relief, "But, rangers, it looks like if this how much damage Ferro Fett can do to get your crystals, it looks like he won't be retreating."
"Until we can get the other five Energy Crystals, we won't be able to send Ferro Fett and his cronies packing," said Joe, looking at the other rangers. Leona nodded as she turned around, "And we won't be able to unlock the mystery."
"The mystery?" asked Atticus.
"Yeah, Rowan sent us on an assignment. Once we find the ten crystals, it should be able to unlock whatever was in that tapestry he was able to recover about Sinnoh," said Lisa, looking at Leona. Leona nodded turned around as she looked at the four rangers, "That means we must protect Sinnoh and try to gather more about these crystals."
Joe nodded as he went to take a seat. As he placed his feet on the floor, he felt buzzing in his pocket. He reached over to his pocket, seeing that it was a text message from his phone. Opening the phone, he looked at it.
"Hey, sorry I didn't get back to you. Sis and I are fine, just banged up. Now I just heard what's going on … keep fighting the good fight… Black Ranger."
Joe chuckled, "Zander, I am glad you are okay."
Closing the phone, he turned around as the others were staring at him. Joe looked at them, "Yeah?"
"Well," said Leona, grinning as she turned to him, "Can we stay over at your ranch?"
"I don't know if Pa…," said Joe.
Immediately, the other rangers looked at him. Atticus took a deep breather, "It's almost 7pm, the Oreburgh Pokémon Center is booked. Lisa's hotel is booked and I would like some sleep."
Joe looked at Lisa. However, Lisa grinned as she headed toward the teleportation location. She aimed her blaster at the floor, "I'm going to sleep."
Pulling the trigger, a pink blast surrounded her as she disappeared. Grayson, Leona and Atticus looked at Joe. Joe sighed as he turned around, "Well… one night only."

Chapter 3: Inner Strength
A/N: So, yes! The premiere to Sinnoh is done! I hope you have enjoyed it and don't worry, there will be more coming to you very soon. Because I have so many chapters written, and its summer, I will be posting weekly until I have enough chapters to do two chapters a week... right now, I only have about 12 written chapters so I need to keep writing to at least have enough to do so. Be prepared to spend your summer reading in the Sinnoh Region. Feel free to leave a review and shout out!
There are ways, as readers, you can also contribute besides reviewing:
1. Discord- Believe it or not, we have a Poké Rangers FanFiction Discord. The link doesn't work on my profile, so you will have to message me for it. If you join our discord, you get to know "the tea" before I post it here. And we are trying to grow our fanfiction community.
2. Character Submissions through Google Forms- It worked out well if you were on discord, but I hope to do this more to keep things organized. If you would like to submit a monster for a future season or a possible guest star, there are two forms on my profile. You just need to fill out the Google Form and poof. You can access them through your phone, tablets instead of your computer. This also worked really well when we did new ranger submissions!
