Previously on Poké Rangers Dino Charge…
Shockhound unleashes Aerodactyl and uses the Aero Amber Megazord to destroy Jubilife City. The team transforms into their suits and fights Shockhound. However, Shockhound reveals that he has captured the original owner of Aerodactyl, Mackenzie. Learning a little bit about him, the rangers learned Shockhound has captured him as the powerhouse to use Aerodactyl as a weapon. Before learning more, Grayson and Lisa were captured by Mega Mooks, which leads to a showdown. After Leona blows up Shockhound's face, Mackenzie was released. Now, a serious battle begins…
"Your leader will pay for the damage destroyed…," said Mackenzie, drawing his saber toward him, "And I will make sure of it."
Shockhound laughed a little bit, "Well, once I defeat you, the Energy Crystal will bond with me!"
Dashing toward him, Shockhound swung across with his saber. Mackenzie blocked it with his saber. Both of them clashed as the swords were swinging. Every attack was a parry. Mackenzie swung across as he cut vertically. Shockhound blocked it and then pushed the saber away with his own. Yellow bolts surrounded his fists as he released an electric charge. Mackenzie blocked it with his saber. He turned around as he swung the saber. Stretching it out, a golden beam of energy struck as Shockhound was hit. Shockhound landed on the dirt, spinning around as he picked himself up. The two of them went at it like two warriors, seeking revenge on their own land. The other rangers stood and watched the whole battle. This was a battle that both parties wanted to see in a while, but not like this.
"Wow," said Leona, "This is brutal!"
"This was a battle a long time coming," a familiar voice responded. The three rangers turned around as Drake arrived. Drake cleared his throat as he went to speak to the others, "I've known Mackenzie for a long time. He's been waiting."
The battle continued as Mackenzie kicked Shockhound in the stomach. Landing on the ground, Shockhound looked up as Mackenzie swung his saber back and forth.
"Howling Thunder!"
Striking down on the ground, a blast of yellow electricity struck the ground, hitting Shockhound in the stomach. Shockhound yelled as he landed on the ground. Shockhound looked up as Mackenzie turned around. Shockhound grabbed his saber and threw it across. Mackenzie turned around as he tried to dodge. The saber stabbed the ground near him, creating a purple pulse. Mackenzie yelled as his whole body began to glow in a purple aura, being absorbed into the saber. Shockhound picked up the saber as a golden, purple aura surrounded him.
"You are going to have to do better than that to stop me! Hahahahaha! Rangers, take this!"
Releasing a purple and golden energy beam, the three rangers landed on the dirt with Drake behind. As Leona faceplanted, Drake caught her as he looked at the others, "Rangers, we need to retreat!"
A blue aura surrounded them as the rangers disappeared. Shockhound laughed as he turned to see them disappear.
"Run, run, run! I am going to have some fun destroying this whole place… hahahaha!" he shouted.
Chapter 11: A Golden Revival
Back at Dino Paradise…
The rangers were sitting, treating their wounds. Drake was sitting as he saw his arms. His arms were somewhat burned due to what was going on. Atticus turned around as he looked at Drake, who was very silent.
"So, Mackenzie was part of the Dinosaur Kingdom years ago," said Atticus, scratching his head, "He came with Drake to Sinnoh… right?"
Drake nodded as he looked at them, "Yes, Mackenzie went with me. But, there was someone else that was with us."
"Someone else?" asked Leona, looking at Drake. Drake looked up as he stared at her. Drake walked over as he saw Leona's necklace. A blue aura began to glow as he looked at her, "Leona, how long have you had that necklace?"
"For as long as I remember," said Leona, looking at him, "According to what I know from my parents, this pendant was with me when I was adopted…"
Drake took a deep breath as he looked at her. Joe turned around as he looked at Leona, "Well, after gaining more information… that pendant is not a normal pendant."
Leona turned around as she looked, "What do you mean?"
"That pendant matches the same power signature as Drake's…," said Joe, looking at Drake. Drake turned around as he reached for his pendant. The blue aura started reacting to her pendant. Leona looked up as she turned to Drake, "What does this mean?"
"Leona… you weren't adopted… you were founded," said Drake, "The Jaw Fossil you picked up weeks ago reacted to that pendant, and that was how you were able to see the history."
"History…," Leona said, "Of?"
"How you got here," said Drake, looking at her. Leona's eyes widened as she looked at him. She was very surprised as Drake went to continue, "You were the baby Mackenzie was trying to protect from Ferro Fett. Ferro Fett wanted to kill any means of royalty, especially those who protected the Energy Crystals, which at the time, we call Fossil Gems."
"Why?" asked Joe.
"Because the Energy Crystals were discovered during the Dinosaur Kingdom, we thought using the crystals as fossil gems will bring the kingdom power and peace," said Drake, "There are more to the pendants once we can get the crystals."
Leona turned around as she looked at them, "I'm… the princess then."
Joe and Atticus were silent as Leona looked down as a tear shed on the floor, "And that means my actual parents are dead… aren't they?"
Drake said nothing as Leona looked at the floor. Joe turned around as Atticus went up toward her. As he put his hand on her, Leona backed away, "I'm sorry, but I need some time to process this."
She marched forward as she grabbed her Fossil Blaster, shooting it on the floor as she teleported. Atticus walked back as he turned to Joe, who was also surprised. Joe turned around as he looked at Drake, trying to figure out the information.
"We need to save Grayson and Lisa, Mackenzie and get the Aerodactyl Zord back on the side of good," said Joe, turning to Atticus, "Ideas?"
Atticus sighed as he looked at both of them, "Well, that's a lot to jumble. Maybe we should think about getting Grayson and Lisa out first. We do better when there's five of us anyway."
Joe leaned in closer as he looked at the blue ranger, "I hate to tell you this, but I highly doubt Leona is in any condition to help us right now."
Atticus sank in his chair as Joe looked over toward him. He was right. All of Leona's life, she was hoping to find her parents, learn more about her purpose. Now, that all of the answers have been revealed, Leona is pretty much in shock and more traumatized. Drake had his head down as he went to walk away. He shook his head as he turned to the sky, "Now, that Leona knows… this is going to be interesting to see how everything plays out."
Meanwhile…
Grayson's eyes opened, trying to get adjusted to the light. Wayward Cave had some light, but it was enough to see what was going on. He noticed his arms and legs were constricted in a green vine. He looked over as he saw Lisa, who was also in the same condition. Walking over, he turned around as he looked at Lisa, "Hey… Lisa."
Lisa opened her eyes as she looked up, "What's going on?"
"I don't know," said Grayson, looking up, "I am just glad we're alive."
Lisa turned around, noticing something bright. She saw that Grayson and Lisa's weapons were caged up and their Energy Crystals were being charged. Lisa noticed the crystals were channeling into Aerodactyl, which was across from him. All being held in one machine, connected with wires toward Aerodactyl.
"That's what Shockhound's planning," said Lisa.
"Obviously… he wants to make Aerodactyl powerful," said Grayson, "We need to destroy this machine."
"How?" asked Lisa.
"HAHAHAHAHA! You both are awake!"
Shockhound's voice filled the cavern as Grayson and Lisa looked to see him. Shockhound turned around as he looked at them, "Now, all I need to do is capture your friends and then Aerdodactyl will blow up this whole region!"
"The fact you are that cruel to do this, disgusts me," said Grayson, spitting at his face. Shockhound punched Grayson in the face, knocking him to the dirt.
"Watch it, you -AHHHHHHHH!" he shouted.
Purple and yellow bolts surrounded Shockhound as his whole chest began to erupt. Grayson and Lisa hit the deck as an explosion appeared. Grayson opened his eyes as he noticed a new person walking out. Mackenzie arrived as he turned to them.
"Who the hell are you?" asked Lisa.
"A friend," said Mackenzie, taking out his sword. Grayson and Lisa flinched as he sliced the restraints. The two broke free as Mackenzie turned to them, "Look, you need to destroy this machine, find the princess and the rangers… there isn't time."
"Princess?" asked Lisa.
"What princess?" asked Grayson.
"You will know when you see someone with a blue pendant!" said Mackenzie.
Lisa turned around as she grabbed her Energy Crystal and her Fossil Blaster, "Wait… there's only one person who has it."
Grayson turned around as he grabbed his own. He looked up as he turned to Lisa, "Leona…"
"Leona?" asked Lisa.
The two rangers turned to Mackenzie. Mackenzie stood in shock, "I am guessing you have heard of her."
"She's the Red Ranger," said Lisa, "She leads our team to fight these crazy peeps!"
Mackenzie froze as he heard Lisa's response. He shook his head, "What? You mean you have been fighting this crew?"
"Yes," said Grayson, "For a while."
Before Mackenzie could say anything, a purple surge of energy appeared out of Shockhound's corpse as the parts of his body combined into one. Mackenzie turned around as Shockhound laughed manically. He turned to Mackenzie as he looked at him, "You won't be able to stop me! Mooks!"
Immediately, the Mooks arrived to surround them. Grayson and Lisa turned to each other as they took out their Energy Crystals. Green and pink energy surrounded them as they took out their Fossil Chargers.
"Fossil Chargers, Energize!"
Meanwhile…
Ferro Fett was sitting at the bridge as he was watching the whole thing occur. He was somewhat confused as he turned to Creamelia, who was jumping up and down with happiness.
"What are you so happy about?" asked Ferro Fett, curious to know what was going on.
"Shockhound has charged Aerodactyl to full strength… thanks to help of those two rangers!" said Creamelia, "They don't even need that charging machine!"
Turnchou turned around as he looked at Ferro Fett, "Incoming transmission from Shockhound."
"Patch it through," said Ferro Fett.
BZZT… BZZT… BZZT…
"Ferro Fett, even though the rangers escaped and my host is gone, he has give me enough power! I plan on getting all three of those gems," said Shockhound, pushing Mackenzie down, "We can start our plan that our boss wanted to do!"
Maracturne turned around as he did an analysis. He turned to Ferro Fett. Ferro Fett and Gircannon had a plan to use Aerodactyl as a powerhouse to destroy the whole entire region. The fact that it went above expectations was pleasing to hear. Ferro Fett stood up as he turned to Turnchou, "Shockhound, destroy them."
Turning off communications, Turnchou turned around as he looked at Ferro Fett, "Teleport the Mooks to Route 206, just outside Oreburgh City…Launch a full scale invasion. By the time the rangers defeat them, Aerodactyl will be out to play!"
Turnchou nodded as he looked at him. Pressing the button, Turnchou turned around as he looked at the microphone, "Attention, Battle Stations! Mooks proceed to the teleportation pods!"
Meanwhile…
Grayson and Lisa flipped backwards as they kicked a few of the Mooks. Grayson turned around as he used his Fossil Saber, slashing the Mooks back and forth. He flipped forward as he kicked another creature to the ground, stabbing him with the saber. He turned around as he took out his Fossil Blaster, shooting down all the Mooks at once. He laughed as he turned around with his blaster, shooting more down. Lisa flipped backwards as she kicked a few of the Mooks. She turned around as she used her Fossil Blaster, shooting it all down. Lisa kicked three Mooks in the face as she blocked with her Fossil Saber. She slashed a few as she flew next to Grayson.
"Shall we end them?" asked Lisa.
"Gladly," said Grayson, pressing the belt buckle. Lisa and Grayson both exchanged Fossil Chargers and placed them in the sabers.
"Fossil Sabers, Iron Windmill!"
Spinning around, green and pink slash lines pierced the Mooks, destroying them. Landing on the ground, Grayson turned to see Mackenzie fight Shockhound.
"Get out of here! I'll handle this beast!" shouted Mackenzie.
The two, without saying a word, started running out of the cave. Shockhound pushed him away as Mackenzie looked at him with his saber. Sweat and adrenaline was pouring throughout as he looked at Shockhound with anger.
"Now that I have seen what the Fossil Gems can do, it seems you have your hands full," said Mackenzie, looking to see his gold crystal still attached. As he went to reach, Shockhound released a golden bolt of energy, hitting Mackenzie. Mackenzie landed on the ground, who looked up to see Shockhound with his saber.
"You will have to kill me if you want the Energy Crystal!" shouted Shockhound.
As the duo continued into the Wayward Cave, the two rangers slashed the Mooks that were in the way. Continuing down the exit, they see the light at the end of the tunnel as the two were rushing toward the exit. Exiting, they hopped down as more Mooks were coming. Grayson and Lisa pulled their Fossil Blasters, shooting some of the mountain wall. Boulders descended as the Mooks were crushed.
"Yes!" shouted Lisa and Grayson. Lisa managed to activate her Dino Com from her wrist, "Dino Paradise, come in!"
Back at Dino Paradise…
Joe turned around as he was cleaning his Fossil Blaster with a cloth. As he was yawning, he heard a familiar sound as he looked up. It was the communication link. Joe walked over as he saw Lisa's face.
"I'm glad to see you!" said Joe, "Are you and Grayson okay?"
"Yeah, some guy broke out of Shockhound, saved us and now we need your help to stop Shockhound! It looks like he used our crystals to power up Aerodactyl to maximum!" Lisa shouted.
Joe nodded as he turned to her, "Mackenzie is fighting Shockhound right now?"
"Yes," said Grayson, looking at the intercom, "Wait… that's his name?"
"Long story," said Joe, turning to the others, "I got to find Atticus and Leona."
Lisa turned around as she looked at the screen, "What happened while we were captured."
"Like I said, long story," said Joe, turning around as he looked at them.
Meanwhile…
Leona was sitting outside of Route 206, looking at the rock quarry. She turned around as she was looking at her pendant. The fact that everything she never knew was coming into full fruition was not just disturbing, but it was hard for her to handle. She sat down as she looked at the area, upset at what was going on. The red ranger couldn't believe the whole story. She turned around as she had a few tissues in her pocket. She looked up as she went to get up, turning around as she noticed a familiar face. Atticus looked at her as she looked up.
"How long were you standing there?" asked Leona.
"Long enough," Atticus said, walking toward her. Leona sighed as she turned around, looking at the pendant, "Look, Leona, I know this is all new to you. I just wish we knew how to help you."
Leona turned around as she looked at him. Her hands were up in the air, "Frankly, I wish I knew too, Atticus."
Atticus nodded slowly as he placed his hand on her shoulder. She looked up as she placed her head on his chest, sobbing. Atticus hugged her as the sobbing continued. She was so upset with how things were going that all she wanted was a shoulder to cry on. Atticus placed his hand on her back.
As the sobbing simmered down, Leona turned around as she looked at him. Atticus nodded as he gave her a tissue that was in his pocket. Leona nodded as she blew her nose into it while wiping the tears from her eyes.
"I needed that," said Leona, "Now, more than ever."
Atticus nodded silently, "I am sure."
"Hey! What's up team?"
Leona looked over as she turned around. The trainer was wearing a black T-shirt with blue jeans and white sneakers. He also wore a teal hoodie with a zipper down the middle. He also had light brown skin with green eyes. He also had short black hair with red highlights at the tips.
"Kyland, what brings you here?" asked Atticus.
"Simple, training and then I saw you two… something wrong?" asked Kyland.
"I rather not talk about it right now," said Leona, looking at Kyland, "You will need to know though in the future, but now is not the time."
Kyland nodded in response. Before he could say anything, Leona's Dino Com started going off. Leona reached over to her Dino Com, "What's up?"
"Hey," said Joe, "Lisa and Grayson escaped and are outside Wayward Cave! But, it seems the Mooks started a full scale invasion in Oreburgh City. We're heading there now…"
"Great," said Leona, "We're on it! Where's Mackenzie?"
"He's still fighting Shockhound," said Joe.
Atticus and Leona looked at each other and then at the Dino Com, "We'll be there soon."
As the rangers turned off their Dino Coms, Leona and Atticus started to run. Immediately, Leona stopped walking as she turned around to Kyland. Kyland stared as Leona looked at him, "Are you coming with us?"
Kyland let out a small grin as he took out his Fossil Blaster that was in his backpack the whole time. Immediately, Leona stretched out her hand, pressing the Dino Com. Kyland's Aqua Crystal began to glow as three Fossil Chargers appeared. Kyland grabbed them as the three of them started running toward Oreburgh City.
Meanwhile, back in Wayward Cave…
"ARRRGH!"
Mackenzie kept dodging each slash as Shockhound kept slashing, Mackenzie turned around as he tried to find a way out. Shockhound turned around as he released an electrical surge from his saber. Mackenzie yelled as explosion surrounded him. Mackenzie landed as the golden-purple energy crystal detached from the wall and landed on the ground. Looking up, Shockhound laughed as he walked toward him. Mackenzie went to grab the crystal. As he did, Shockhound's blade stopped him from doing so.
"NO!" he shouted, bending over, "It's mine!"
Mackenzie turned around as he used his feet, sweeping Shockhound down. Shockhound turned around as Mackenzie grabbed the crystal. Holding it, a golden aura surrounded his body as golden lightning bolts surrounded the cave. Shockhound looked up as the purple energy around it began to disappear.
"Aerodactyl, destroy!"
Before the crystal could purify Aerodactyl, black and purple waves surrounded Aerodactyl as it bolted out of the cave. Debris and cave walls collapsed as Mackenzie started to escape. Shockhound turned around as he raised his saber. A yellow energy bolt surrounded him as he disappeared.
Outside Oreburgh City…
Turnchou, Maracturne and Creamelia were walking on Route 206 with an army of Mooks and Mega Mooks were ready to destroy the city. As they stopped, they were looking at the area as Maracturne turned around, "It's time we destroy the next neighboring city, now that Jubilife is demolished!"
Immediately, a yellow energy beam surrounded the area. Shockhound arrived as he looked at the others.
"Shockhound!" shouted Creamelia, "Where's Aerodactyl?"
"En route… it's uncontrollable now…," said Shockhound, "That bastard destroyed my plan to control it, so I ordered it to annihilate everything!"
"SHOCKHOUND!"
The villains looked up as they noticed six humans walking toward them. Leona stood in the middle with Joe, Atticus, Grayson, Lisa and Kyland. Leona glared at Shockhound, "Your invasion ends here!"
"There's nothing you can do. Aerodactyl is super powered… and your end is near!" he shouted.
"You will pay for what you did… to my parents, to our kingdom… and I won't let you destroy this region!" shouted Leona, "Let's go!"
The rangers nodded as they took out their Fossil Chargers, "Fossil Chargers, Energize!"
Activating their Fossil Chargers, the rangers did a little dance with their Fossil Blasters. Inserting the Fossil Chargers in the Fossil Blasters, the rangers held up their weapons.
Tyrnatrum, Energize!
Armaldo, Energize!
Carracosta, Energize!
Kabutops, Energize!
Bastiodon, Energize!
Omastar, Energize!
Spinning the Fossil Blasters, the rangers stretched their weapons to the sky, "Unleash the Power!"
Bursts of red, black, blue, green, pink and aqua energy shot out as their Prehistoric Pokémon transformed into their suits. Kyland's suit was like the others, except it was a cyan colored suit. His helmet was shaped like an Omastar with spikes on the back of the helmet.
"Tyrantrum! Dino Charge Red!"
"Armaldo! Dino Charge Black!"
"Carracosta! Dino Charge Blue!"
"Kabutops! Dino Charge Green!"
"Bastiodon! Dino Charge Pink!"
"Omastar! Dino Charge Aqua!"
"Poké Rangers… Dino Charge!"
Shockhound stood in anger, noticing the Aqua Ranger in the team, "So… actually with Mackenzie… seven rangers."
"Looks like you are surprised… or did you forget?" asked Kyland, chuckling.
Before the rangers could say anything, purple and black shockwaves hit the rangers as the six rangers landed on the ground. The villains and the Mooks dodged as Aerodactyl screeched through, beginning its destruction in Oreburgh City. Quickly, Leona turned around as she and the others took out their next chargers.
"Zords… I choose you!"
Throwing the six chargers, the six zords managed to arrive. While the zords fought Aerodactyl, the rangers headed straight toward the battle. The rangers used the Fossil Blasters and dragged them on their right shoulder.
"Dino Armor, Engage!"
Immediately, the team had silver armor on their right shoulders with an individualized weapon. Kyland's weapon was bright aqua with a silver cannon nozzle. It had golden spikes that connected to the weapon. As Mooks were coming toward him, Kyland held on to it and pulled the trigger. Ten to twenty spikes per second arrived, shooting them down instantly. Kyland was impressed as he then went to continue his rampage. Laughing, he walked over to destroy more. However, Turnchou arrived as he used his wrench like saber that was invented. There was a blue charge of energy as he went to strike him down.
"You are getting in my way," said Kyland.
Before Turnchou could say anything, black pulses hit him. Turning around, Joe had his Armaldo Blaster on him.
"You again…," said Turnchou.
"Don't worry. He's scrap metal," said Joe.
"SCRAP METAL?" Turnchou yelled.
Joe flipped forward as he pulled the trigger, shooting black and purple beams from his blaster. As Turnchou landed on the ground, Kyland turned on his Omastar Cannon to full automatic, aiming at Turnchou. Instantly, fifty spikes emerged as Turnchou was hit with the attack. Turnchou spun around as he landed on the ground. As more Mooks showed up, Kyland then reset the switch to see a rocket icon. Pulling the trigger, a golden spike shot out as it hit the ground. The Mooks screamed as they landed on the ground.
"Wow!" Kyland said, surprised at his own attack. He didn't know what to expect as Joe was amazed at what was going on.
Meanwhile, Atticus, Grayson and Lisa were facing Maracturne and Cremelia. Grayson and Atticus dodged Maracturne's bullets. Each bullet seed was missed, which lead to explosions around the area. Atticus took out his Carracosta Shield as he pushed on. Maracturne laughed as he continued to do a bullet spray toward him. Each bullet bounced back as Grayson followed Atticus. Jumping on top of him, Grayson used his Kabutops Slasher to slash Maracturne in the face. Maracturne screamed as Atticus swung his shield, knocking Maracturne down. Maracturne groaned as the two rangers stood together.
"Nice teamwork," said Atticus.
"Ditto," Grayson said in response.
Lisa flipped backwards as she continued her battle with Cremelia. Cremelia used her cake blaster to fight with her. Pink and white beams appeared as Lisa dodged each one. However, as she tripped Cremelia released a pink blast of energy, hitting Lisa. Lisa turned around as Cremelia pressed a button, "Let's try: Bake Mode!"
Pressing the button, a pink aura surrounded her blaster as an explosion of cake batter erupted, causing Lisa to be caught in the cake. Cremelia grinned as she reached for her left wrist. Pressing a few buttons, she saw that there was a red button. As she went to press, a vibration surrounded the mound as Lisa emerged, just as the cake mound exploded. Cremelia screamed as the Bastiodon Drill pierced her side. Lisa flew backwards, landing on her own two feet.
"Why you little-," she screamed.
"Come and face me!" shouted Lisa.
Leona and Shockhound continued their battle. Shockhound released electric bolts from his saber, which led Leona to dodge and miss with her Tyrantrum Fang. Dodging the attack, the Tyrantrum Fang swung across as Shockhound was hit. Leona turned around as she used her Fossil Saber to slash him. Shockhound yelled as he was hit by the attack. Immediately, Leona threw a punch in the stomach with her weapon. Shockhound looked down as Leona then released. She took out her Fossil Charger, "Tyrantrum Charger, energize!"
Pressing the button, she placed the red charger in the Tyrantrum Fang. The Tyrantrum Fang began to energize in red and gold aura.
"Iron Head Punch!"
Leaping, she threw her fist toward Shockhound. Shockhound was hit as gold and red sparks surrounded him. Shockhound roared as he was spinning around. The other rangers arrived together as the Mega Mooks also arrived.
"Dino Spiker!" shouted Leona, "Let's make it splashy!"
Kyland turned around as he set his cannon to rocket mode, "I'll keep them busy!"
While Kyland was shooting rockets, Leona took out her Dino Spiker Charger. The weapons were thrown up in the air as well. The Tyrantrum Fang stood as the base. The Carracosta Shield was placed on top of the Tyrantrum Fang. The Armaldo Claw and Kabutos Slasher connected to either side of the blaster. The Basitodon Drill connected to the end. The Dino Spiker charger went inside the front of the blaster. A golden energy surge surrounded it as Leona caught it.
"Dino Spiker, Horn Drill!"
As the spiker was thrown, it turned into a horn as it started spinning. Tyrantrum, Armaldo, Carracosta, Kabutops and Bastiodon emerged out as it pierced the ground. Explosions surrounded Shockhound, Turnchou, Maracturne and Cremelia as well as a few Mega Mooks and the Mooks. The six rangers turned around as the explosions continued.
"That should end that invasion!" said Leona, turning around to see Tyrantrum being thrashed. The Tyrantrum Zord landed on the ground as the Aerodactyl swung its tail, knocking Omastar and Bastiodon off its feet.
"That Aerodactyl will murder us at this point!" said Grayson, looking at the others, "What do we do now?"
"Simple… let's-," said Leona.
"WAIT!"
Leona turned around as she saw someone limping toward her. Leona turned around, seeing Mackenzie walk toward her. As he fell to his knees, he looked at her as the golden energy crystal landed on the ground. Landing on the ground, a golden aura surrounded the crystal as it pierced the Aerodactyl Zord. The Aerodactyl screamed as a golden energy beam surrounded it. The rangers watched as a black and purple sphere began to explode. A golden aura surrounded the zord as its wings spread. The Aerodactyl roared as it floated toward Mackenzie. Mackenzie looked up as Aerodactyl screamed.
"Aerodactyl….," said Mackenzie.
Aerodactyl opened its mouth as a golden energy beam shot out. Mackenzie turned around as his left hand began to glow. It was a sapphire wrist morpher with a golden Aerodactyl head on top. There was also an energy slot.
"No way," said Leona.
"Mackenzie!"
Mackenzie turned around. Drake started running toward him. Mackenzie turned around as Drake walked toward him, stopping him.
"It seems freeing Aerodactyl unlocked a new source of power for you," he said, opening his hand. Mackenzie noticed that Drake had three golden chargers. They were gold with the number 6 on them. Mackenzie grinned as he took them. He turned around as Shockhound and the others were up.
"I won't allow this!" he shouted.
Mackenzie turned around as he looked at them, "It's too late, Shockhound. Aerodactyl Charger, Energize!"
Pressing the button, a golden aura surrounded his energy crystal into the fossil charger. He did a little spin, creating a dance as he placed his hand on the morpher. Pulling a lever, the energy slot opened to place the charger inside.
Aerodactyl, Energize!
"Unleash the Power!"
Closing the slot, he pulled the slot with his finger. A golden aura shot out of the morpher as an Aerodactyl emerged. Flying across, Aerodactyl bathed Mackenzie into a new ranger suit. It was almost the exact same design as the others, but instead of the yellow teeth going diagonal, it was black instead, resembling the mouth of Aerodactyl. He also had blue spikes on the shoulder pads.
"Aerodactyl! Dino Charge Gold!"
"Dino Charge… Gold?" asked Shockhound, looking at him, "Mooks! Kill him!"
Immediately, the Mooks started dashing toward him. Responsively, Mackenzie turned around as he used his morpher, pulling it like a slingshot, "Old Amber Blaster!"
Releasing it, golden beams shot out as all of the Mooks landed on the ground. Turning around, more of the Mega Mooks arose from the ground. He stretched out his hand as a navy saber appeared with a golden blade.
"Golden Amber Saber!"
He used his saber to slash the Mega Mooks. As they spun around in pain, Turnchou went in with his weapon. Immediately, Mackenzie flipped over as he slashed Turnchou in the stomach. Turnchou screamed as he landed on the ground. Turnchou limped as he Maracturne and Cremelia stood there in surprise.
"Uh… handle it!" they said, pointing to Shockhound. Shockhound shook his head as he continued to fight. Shockhound was slashed multiple times as Mackenzie turned around. Shockhound looked up as he used his saber. Golden bolts surrounded it as he waved his saber.
"Howling Thunder!"
Releasing a thunderous pulse, Mackenzie watched for the ultimate moment. Immediately, blue wings shaped like an Aerodactyl sprouted out as he took off, dodging the attack. Flying across, Mackenzie placed two golden energy chargers in his saber. Pressing them, a golden aura surrounded his weapon.
Landing on the ground, Mackenzie swung his saber across as a golden aura surrounded it.
"Golden Amber Saber, Thunder Fang Slash!"
Swinging his saber, a yellow bolt of energy appeared with yellow and electric teeth emerged. Shockhound was consumed by the energy as he was hit. Explosions surrounded the area as Mackenzie turned around. Screaming, he landed on the ground. The seven rangers looked at each other as the villains managed to get up.
"I will make you pay for this!" shouted Shockhound.
As he went to strike, Aerodactyl and the others opened their mouths, releasing a Hyper Beam. Explosions surrounded them as they landed on the ground. Leona stepped forward as she looked at Shockhound. Grabbing him by the neck, Shockhound looked at her as Leona stabbed him in the stomach. He cringed as Leona moved her Fossil Saber up, destroying the pieces. As he split into pieces, the others looked at her as Mackenzie crushed his face. Black and yellow bolts surrounded the area as the other three turned to them.
"Send a message to Ferro Fett. He's going to have to do better," said Leona, "Once we get the crystals, he's on a one way ticket back to where he came from. Shockhound… without a host is a good example of what could happen to him."
"Oh, don't you worry…," said Turnchou, looking at her, "You all have started something really, really bad."
"And don't think Ferro Fett is going to give up on this!" said Maracturne.
"This has turned into a war now… it's not just about the crystals," said Cremelia, looking at the team, "Prepare yourself for this battle. I'm sure Gircannon will not be happy with this either. Let's go folks."
In flashes of pink, green and blue, they disappeared, along with Shockhound's remains.
The sun was setting off on Route 206 as the team was walking back toward Oreburgh City. As the rangers stopped walking, they noticed Mackenzie who was very confused on what was going on. This was very confusing to him, seeing where he was and did not know anybody that was there. All he remembered was he trapped inside of Shockhound's body and protecting Leona.
Leona stepped forward as she walked toward him, "Hey… can we talk?"
Mackenzie turned around as he looked at her silently. He walked toward her in surprise, "So… the princess of the dinosaurs has grown."
"I guess," said Leona, looking at him, "I'm still trying to process that I am not from this place."
Mackenzie turned around as he looked at the others, "How were you able to find these crystals if the Prehistoric Pokémon are extinct?"
"The crystals were found in fossils… except yours," said Leona, looking at Mackenzie, "Our mission is to collect all 10 from Ferro Fett. With yours, that means we only need to find three more. We were able to channel these crystals to become what you saw today."
Mackenzie turned around as he looked at them. Leona walked over to stretch her hand. Mackenzie shook his head as he turned the opposite direction, walking away. Leona shrugged as Kyland walked toward her, "It seems he needs to process this more."
"I guess. It's one thing when you were sent here as a baby. It's another when you are older," said Leona, looking at the group. Kyland nodded as he looked at his energy crystal, sparkling in aqua colors, "Well, we should probably return home."
"True," said Leona, looking at Kyland, "But, now that you saw what you can do. I think you and Mackenzie should know more about how to operate your zords and chargers."
"Wait… you mean there's more?" asked Kyland.
"We'll talk about it tomorrow when we get to the city," said Joe, yawning, "I'm tired!"
The six rangers started walking south as they were able to see Oreburgh City on the horizon, even though it was going to take them over an hour to get home, the city lights never looked so bright and beautiful.

Kyland and Mack get a crash course on how to use the Fossil Gems. However, when Creamelia decides to ruin the fun at Hearthome City, Mack tells the six of them that they are not even worthy to work with, including Leona. Lisa decides to give Mack a piece of his mind. Can our Pink Ranger friend break the Gold Ranger out of his shell?
Poké Rangers Dino Charge Chapter 12: Chivalry Isn't Dead
A/N: Well, that was it! I wanted to do things a little differently than what I wrote in my draft. So, this is pretty much what I wanted to do. Mackenzie is the next ranger up and we will get to learn more and more about him as we continue on. Kyland also morphed for the first time, so now seven rangers are part of the team. Who knows what will happen to Shockhound? This is going to be interesting.
Fun fact: If you read both chapters now and probably wondering when Chapter 12 will be... you will have to wait till Thursday, August 10th (two weeks from today!) Bum... bum... bum... lol
