A/N: Here is Chapter 12! I hope you enjoy yourself!
It was a few days after Shockhound was defeated by the rangers, specifically Mackenzie as the villains on Ferro Fett's ship were waiting aimlessly to figure out a solution. While Cremelia and Maracturne were trying to calm Ferro Fett down, Turnchou was already working on solutions to bring Shockhound back together with a few gadgets from the engineering deck. Working on the bridge, aimlessly, Turnchou found a few devices that helped. Using a metallic box with green and red wiring, he hooked it up to a metal pole that was used in the ship. It was then connected to Shockhound's saber. Stepping back, all Turnchou could do was bring a black box with a few lights on it.
"Here goes nothing…," he said, pressing the button on his device. Immediately, blue and red bolts surrounded the pole. Turnchou flipped backwards as the red and blue bolts surrounded Shockhound's pieces. Wrapping the pieces together, Shockhound arrived with his saber. He looked at them as he grabbed his saber, "I am alive! Thank you for putting me back together!"
"Sadly… it's only temporary until we find a host to regain you back organically. You are just a robot for now," said Turnchou.
"Well," said Shockhound, "As long as I have enough energy to fight the rangers and destroy them after what they did to me. They took my zord and my energy crystal!"
Ferro Fett, amazed at what Turnchou did, walked over toward him with happiness, "Turnchou, I want to applaud you on what you decided to do. This was a great idea! Shockhound is back to normal with what you could do."
Turnchou grinned as he put his wrench behind his head, "I try, boss."
Ferro Fett turned to the others, "Now, back to the business at hand. The rangers now have SEVEN energy crystals. That worries me."
"So quick to get them too," said Cremelia, "Well, how are we going to stop them from getting the other three?"
Ferro Fett snapped his fingers, "This is where my new monster comes into play!"
The teams turn around and look at the creature that appeared. He was a humanoid Skelderidge and Dusclops creature. His face was a Skelderidge with a Dusclops body but had skeleton symbols all over his back and front. He also breathed a few flames as he was looking at the crew. Ferro Fett grinned as he noticed the creature carried a white bone, which could absorb a trait.
"This is Skeletar… the Monster of Fear! His bone could absorb those with great courage and make them cowardly. Those rangers will be begging to give their crystals, knowing that they will be under the influence of this creature," said Ferro Fett, "It brought a planet down to its knees years ago."
Skeletar turned around as he looked at him, "What are your orders?"
"Suck up the courage of everyone… those rangers have to be somewhere!" shouted Ferro Fett.
Skeletar nodded in response as he looked at him with happiness, "Your wish is my command!"
Back in Dino Paradise…
Drake turned around as he was looking at Kyland and Mackenzie. Mackenzie looked at Kyland, up and down with a look of disgust as he turned around to Drake, "Master Drake, why do I have to be with this newbie here? I'm more experienced."
Kyland turned to him with his arms folded, "Simple. To learn how to use our powers. Duh."
Drake turned around to look at them, "To work with the other five rangers, you two need to understand how to use the zords as well as your weapons. The crystals given to you give you powers to fight Ferro Fett, as you all witnessed. When you use your zords, you can combine with Tyrantrum and the others to create Megazords of your own power."
"Hence, Omastar combining one time-," said Kyland.
"Correct," said Drake, "And you could do that with Aerodactyl as well."
Mackenzie turned around as he looked at him, "I am not combining with anyone. No offense, you need some battle experience."
"Cool. Train me," said Kyland, looking at the gold ranger. One of the things that Kyland could sense is that Mackenzie hated being baited. He walked over to Drake and the others as he noticed the panel on his right. It had both the golden and aqua crystal attached in the panel, along with three empty ports. The other rangers turned around as he looked at Kyland, "After all, Mack. You are going to have to learn to work with others in our time. Especially, when we get the others. I need to be at my best."
Leona grinned as she turned to him, "You seem to be knowing more and more, Kyland."
"Well, when Roark tells you about a Rampardos Exhibit coming in a few weeks. I wonder if the Grey Energy Crystal will be there," he said, looking at them.
"Rampardos?" asked Leona.
"Yes," said Drake, turning toward them. He picked up a few Fossil Chargers. The seven rangers looked over as they saw the grey chargers with the number 8 on them. Leona turned around as she looked at Kyland, "Once your training is over, I can head over!"
Kyland grinned as he turned to help Leona, "I sense your excitement, but after speaking with Roark, we'll have to negotiate to get the exhibit. Someone owns it… with royalty."
Kyland rolled his eyes as he turned to Mackenzie, "Besides, we need to get Mack acclimated with our present day."
Mackenzie, also known as Mack, looked at him, "Mack?"
"Yeah, like a nick name. Mack is short…" said Kyland, grinning.
Mack turned around as he looked at the Aqua Ranger, "You are full of surprises, you nitwit."
"Hey," said Kyland, "First rule, take a joke and lighten up!"
Joe grinned as he looked at Kyland. Kyland turned around as Joe chuckled. Rolling his eyes, he took out his black energy crystal, "Kyland, I am going on patrol. Good luck with that."
"What does that supposed to mean?" asked Kyland.
"Simple," said Joe, withdrawing his Fossil Blaster, "It's not up to you to decide if he's ready. That's Mackenzie's problem… or Mack… Actually, Mack sounds like a great name."
Before Mack could say anything, Joe pressed the button as a black aura surrounded him, disappearing. Lisa turned around as she looked at Mack. Mack stepped forward as she was looking at her watch. Pulling her Fossil Blaster, she also took out her pink energy crystal. Mack pulled her by the arm.
"What?" asked Lisa.
"Don't we all have to stay?" asked Mack.
"No… not unless needed," said Lisa, looking at Mack. She placed her hands on his vest, "I have to prepare my aromatherapy shop for today's Pokémon Contest at Hearthome City."
"Wait… Pokémon?" asked Mack, "You mean, there's more than Aerodactyl?"
Lisa grinned, "Oh yeah, there's over 1,000 species. When I have time, I can show you a few of mine. And you can learn a lot from me… no offense to Kyland."
Kyland shook his head as Lisa grinned, walking toward the edge of the exit. Pressing the button, a pink aura surrounded her as she disappeared. Mack turned around as he looked at Kyland. Kyland and Leona shrugged as they turned to Atticus and Grayson. Grayson shrugged as he turned to Atticus. Atticus turned to Drake. Drake was sitting down as he was watching the screens. He sensed something was about to happen.
Chapter 12: Chivalry Isn't Dead
Hearthome City, a city devoted to beauty. Seeing it was in the core of Sinnoh, many visitors call it the heart of the region. The city had beautiful purple roofing with pink and green flowers that flow. There was also the Hearthome City Gym for traveling trainers. But, it was more known for its mega sized contest hall. It was a pink and purple contest hall with a golden Poké Ball on top of the roof. Music was blaring as trainers and coordinators gathered around. Lisa was setting up her stand as she had her aromatherapy stand. Her stand was a pink table with green, red and purple fragrances. She also wore an emerald kimono with her pink bow tie. Sitting down at her chair, she noticed a few trainers walking.
"Hello, enjoy Kanto Region's favorite: Bloom Gloom… it has a good bitter smell, which increases smartness."
"Nice!" said a trainer, "What about this one?"
The trainer picked up a red bottle. Lisa grinned as she looked at it, "Ah, that is Paras Delight. It brings up smartness with a little bit of coolness. Each bottle of Celadon Aromatherapy will help modify or enhance Pokémon strength, beauty and endurance. We even have the pink bottle: Sweet Victree… based off Victreebel's scent."
"Ah," said the trainer, "I will take all three! How much is it?"
"400 Pokédollars per bottle… so 1200?" asked Lisa.
Immediately, the trainer pulled out a 2000 Pokédollar bill. Lisa, giving the change, grinned as the trainer left. Lisa grinned as she was looking at her sales, "Erika will be pleased."
"Celadon Aromatherapy?"
Lisa turned around, noticing Mack who was watching the whole thing. Lisa stood up as Mack walked toward her. Trainers were looking at him as they were passing him. Lisa turned around, "I am at work, Mack. This is what I do outside of being a ranger."
"This is interesting stuff," said Mack, "Soaps?"
"No… fragrances," said Lisa, looking at Mack, "My cousin owns Celadon Aromatherapy out in Kanto, which is far away, but I work for her so when we have special events, I sell our fragrances and it makes her business boom!"
"In my kingdom, we never use fragrances. We use pure-," said Mack, but Lisa put her hand up, "I know."
Mack turned around as he looked at her. He turned around as he saw a cluster of people, waiting in line to get their fragrances.
"I guess I better leave," said Mack.
Lisa sighed as Mack started to walk away. Lisa shook her head as she went to help the next trainer. As she went to help, she heard a familiar tune over the loudspeaker.
"Gimme gimme gimme your sickness at midnight! Inhale the darkness and I'll send you away!"
The trainers looked around confused. Immediately, pink pixie dust came through the loudspeakers. Trainers screamed as they fell on the ground. Quickly, Lisa covered her mouth as she grabbed a green face mask from her backpack. Placing it around her ears, she closed the bridge of her nose as she dashed over to the stage, having pure instinct, she knew where it was. Breaking open the door, she stopped as she saw Mooks playing the band, creating a pink aura into the speakers. Skeletar was playing the drums with his bones as Creamelia was dancing around with her voice.
"Half past twelve and I am watching the TV in my room alone, all I hate it when my monsters all get owned…"
"By the rangers… they always are against us, trying to get our crystals and destroying Gircannon's crazy home…"
"Is there someone out there? Someone to hear my prayyyyyeer…"
Lisa shook her head as she took out her Fossil Blaster, shooting the speakers. Skeletar and the others looked up as Lisa removed her mask. Lisa flipped forward as she landed on the stage. Creamelia turned around as she looked at her, "YOU RUINED MY SONG!"
"Stop ruining a classic!" shouted Lisa, shaking her head, "Now, what brings you here and no it's not a visit…"
She turned around, noticing a few people down. As Lisa looked, a few of them started crying and backing away. Lisa turned around, noticing Skeletar's bone. It was black with a few spots, "Courage… take the courage…"
"Courage?" asked Lisa.
"Yes… and with you… you can give up your Energy Crystal, free of charge!" shouted Creamelia.
"Sorry, Creamelia, but I would rather die first," said Lisa.
"Mooks! Destroy her!" shouted Lisa.
"WAIT!" shouted Lisa, looking at the Mooks, "Surely, you don't want to see me… dance?"
"Dance?" asked Creamelia.
Lisa spun around as she took out her Fossil Charger. As she did her dance, Mack opened the door as he snuck in, watching. Lisa pressed the button as a pink aura surrounded her. The Mooks started shooting as she dodged each blast. She turned around as she placed her charger in the blaster.
Bastiodon, Energize!
Spinning the blaster, she turned around as she pulled the trigger, "Unleash the Power!"
A Bastiodon struck the Mooks as it turned around, bathing Lisa in her suit. She turned around as she did a little pose.
"Bastiodon… Dino Charge Pink!"
Creamelia rolled her eyes, "I can't stand the dancing morph! Kill her!"
"Not so fast!"
Creamelia turned around as she saw Atticus, Joe, Grayson and Leona arrive. The four rangers kicked at least a few Mooks before heading to meet Lisa. Leona turned around as she looked at the others, "It seems there is more than just Lisa's dancing you are going to have to watch!"
"Fossil Charger, Energize!"
Creamelia rolled her eyes as the four rangers started doing their dance. They turned around, placing their Fossil Chargers in their Fossil Blasters. Stretching it up in the air, they spun the blasters, "Unleash the Power!"
Red, black, blue and green beams struck out as the rangers transformed into their suits.
"Tyrantrum… Dino Charge Red!"
"Armaldo… Dino Charge Black!"
"Carracosta… Dino Charge Blue!"
"Kabutops… Dino Charge Green!"
Immediately, Skeletar raised his bone in the air. The rangers turned around as a black aura surrounded the people affected. As they all stood up, they stood cowardly as they turned to Cremelia.
"If you want your bones back, you are going to kill the rangers!" shouted Cremelia.
"But…," said one of them.
"Do you want to die?" she asked.
"No…," he said.
"Then, do it!" shouted Cremelia.
Four trainers stood together as the rangers huddled. As Poké Balls were released Swellow, Beautifly, Altaria and Honchkrow.
"Swellow, Air Cutter!"
"Beautifly, Air Cutter!"
"Altaria, Dragonbreath!"
"Honchkrow, use Air Cutter!"
Three blasts of wind and a breath of draconic energy surrounded them as the five rangers landed on the ground. Landing off stage, Grayson turned around as he looked at the others, "I'm not fighting the Pokémon here. They are just following orders."
"Right… but in order to even get past Cremelia, we are going to have to distract them," said Joe. Leona nodded as she stood up. She reached for her belt buckle to reveal a magenta Fossil Charger. Pressing it, she placed it in the Fossil Blaster, spinning it.
"Hypnosis, Energize!"
A flash of pink waves surrounded the blaster as Swellow, Beautifly and Altaria were knocked unconscious. Honchkrow, due to its type advantage, screamed as it headed toward Atticus. Atticus quickly took out a bright pink Fossil Charger and placed it in the blaster.
"Tickle, Energize!"
Pulling the trigger, two pink hands emerged, giving Honchkrow the biggest tickle of its life. Grayson turned around as he took out a dark green Fossil Charger. He placed it in the Fossil Blaster, "Sleep Powder, Energize!"
Pulling the trigger, a gust of blue powder erupted as Honchkrow fell asleep.
Lisa turned around as the trainers turned toward her. Noticing they were all male, she grinned as she took out a lavender Fossil Charger. Pressing it, she placed it in the Fossil Blaster.
"Attract, Energize!"
Pulling the trigger, four hearts emerged as the male trainers started to fall in love with her. Mack stood there in anger as they were all around her. She grinned as she turned to Cremelia.
"Cremelia stole something important… grow a pair and knock her out!" she said.
"Yes, Pink Ranger! GET HER!"
As the trainers chased after Cremelia, Cremelia went from being happy to angry as she hopped off stage, trying to leave. While that was going on, Joe finished the last Mook and headed straight for Skeletar. The other rangers arrived, ready to face Skeletar. Skeletar laughed as he released his bone. The bone swung around like a Bonemerang attack, slashing the five rangers as they landed on the ground. Skeletar laughed as he turned to them. Lisa spun around and kicked Skeletar in the face, just in time for Skeletar to smack her in the face with his bone.
"How does that feel, pinkie?"
Immediately, Mack couldn't take it anymore. He grabbed his Aero Amber Saber and released a golden energy pulse, hitting Skeletar in the stomach. Skeletar turned around as Mack arrived.
"Mack, you made it!" said Leona.
"Out of my way, Princess. I saw what you all did. Stop playing around," said Mack.
"Playing around?" asked the rangers.
Mack turned around as he looked at them, "What I saw was a mess… you're all not worthy to be my comrades! This includes the aqua guy!"
He turned around to use his morpher, only for Skeletar to disappear. In a flash of pink light, Lisa turned around as she pulled him by the neck, "Now look what you done, you idiot!"
"Really… using Attract to get men to bow before you so they can chase Cremelia out of town?" asked Mack.
"Well, if you knew what attacks Pokémon can do, you wouldn't be so judgy," said Lisa.
"Judgy? I judge how you fight… you did better than the others… until you pulled that move," said Mack, "Chivalry is very important."
Mack turned around as he hopped off the stage. Marching forward, he exited the stage platform. Lisa sighed as Joe unmorphed behind her. Joe turned around, grabbing Lisa's arm.
"Remember, he hasn't been on this planet for a while," said Joe.
"I know," said Lisa, "But, trying to get him to adjust to our life is going to be hard. You said it yourself."
Leona shook her head, "It's almost like he's very angry with us."
"I think it's because of his upbringing," Lisa said, jumping off the stage and landing on her feet. Leona, unmorphing, stepped forward, "What does that mean?"
"Think about it, Leona. You were a baby when he saw you. If anything, your parents were trying to raise you to be tough. He expects all of us to be tough. But, not tough that he sees it to be. Let's face it… the Dinosaur Kingdom and 2023 is a mega generation gap! I got to go find him," said Lisa.
Leona said nothing as Atticus turned around, "Meanwhile, let's see what other damage he's done."
Later in Hearthome City…
"So, did you hear what happened about that guy?" a girl trainer said. She was sitting at one of the tables outside of a café talking to another girl. Both were in their mid-twenties, wearing purple and blue outfits.
"What guy, Lara?" asked the other, brushing her red hair back with her green eyes looking at her with curiosity.
Lara cleared her throat, "Well, Stephanie… this barbarian was at the Hearthome Contest Hall talking to Lisa, the Queen of Aromatherapy… or at least the assistant of Celadon Aromatherapy?"
"Yeah?" Stephanie asked.
"His clothes were so ancient… and he smelled really, really bad," she said, "It was like I was watching a horrible movie," she said.
"Hello, ladies!"
Lara and Stephanie looked up and froze. Mack stood there as he pulled up a chair. He looked at them as he placed himself in a chair, "So, what's it like to be in 2023?"
"Um, simple… lost… like we're gonna get lost!" said Lara, "Come Stephanie!"
As she grabbed Stephanie by the hand, Mack turned around in happiness, "I'll get lost with you."
"That's not what they mean by that!"
Mack turned around. Lisa arrived as she was now wearing her original clothes. She was back to her green jogging pants and a pink top with sneakers. Her emerald kimono was folded by her side as she was looking at him, "Look, Mack. We need to talk."
"Why?" asked Mack, "You have a lot to learn."
"So do you," said Lisa, looking at Mack, "Hear me out. 2023 is NOT like how it was in the Dinosaur Age. There's a whole generation gap."
"Generation gap?" asked Mack, "Everybody knows that warriors are popular!"
"Eh…," said Lisa, looking at Mack, "At that time, yes. However… I think I know how I can get you to fit in better."
"Fit in?" asked Mack, "How?"
Lisa sighed as she looked at the sky, "Arceus, here goes nothing!"
"Where are we going?" asked Mack. Lisa grinned as she tried not to react to his body odor, "We're going to clean you up a bit!"
Later that day, Mack and Lisa walked into a store. Lisa grinned as she picked out a few clothes for Mack. Mack turned around as he looked at them. The cashier nodded as she grinned, while trying not to focus on him. Lisa grinned as she saw a few more outfits that work. Using her credit card, she was able to pay for them. Within seconds, Mack was dressed in a black elbow length shirt with a blue and gold vest with a black half glove on his right hand and a gold wrist band on his left. He also had yellow cargo shorts and black combat boots.
Mack was then led to a haircut store, where Lisa paid for his haircut and shower. As Mack sat down at one of the chairs, the hairdresser cringed as she put his head in the bowl. Immediately, she took some shampoo and placed it on Mack's scalp. Mack smiled as he got a scalp massage.
"I never had one of these before…," said Mack.
Lisa giggled, trying not to say anything. Mack's eyes were closed, his face was in utter bliss as he was getting the best scalp massage of his life. After his hair was shortened and cleaned, Lisa took Mack out of the city toward Amity Square, where they sat and had lunch on the open field. Mack turned around as he went to look at her, surprised that someone he barely knew offered him new clothes, a haircut, clean hair and even lunch.
"Didn't expect someone so new to do this for me," said Mack, looking at her as he was eating his wrap, "Why?"
Lisa turned around as she looked at him, "Well, who knows if you will return and… I thought it would be important to get adjusted. You work with us now, you might as well dress the part."
"Dress the part…," said Mack, continuing to eat, "Hey Lisa, can I ask you a question?"
"Yeah, sure…," said Lisa, looking up. Mack turned around as he went to speak, "Did you know about Leona being a princess before?"
"No… only like three days ago," the pink ranger said, "Why?"
Mack sighed as he looked at her. He was quiet at first, trying to find the right words to say, "She is so… soft. And I am not talking physical. Her parents would be disappointed that she would be so… nice."
"What do you mean?" asked Lisa.
Mack turned around as he looked at her, "Lisa, in the Dinosaur Kingdom, the only way to get by is being tough. Tough for your family, tough for your kingdom and strict on those who go against it. That was what I was brought up when I was born and that was my duty when Leona was supposed to be protected. After Shockhound imprisoned me and Aerodactyl, I thought I would never see her again. The morals, the values I hope would pass on… and she does these things. I don't get it. Yeah, the five of you are like that too. But, she has higher standards."
Lisa sat there quietly, trying to process it all as she went to hear every word. It is true, she probably didn't understand what Mack meant. He then continued on…
"And people are not being treated respectfully. What happened to Chivalry and respecting people? It's like moral values are being thrown out the window!"
Lisa looked down as he continued on…
"Why are you so quiet about this?"
Lisa raised an eyebrow, "Frankly, Mackenzie… it's because I don't know how you were brought up. I don't know honestly how Leona was brought up. When I first met Leona, she was a scientist looking for fossils. I never knew that she was going to be a Poké Ranger, nevertheless, a princess. Honestly, I didn't know there was a code. It's probably shocking to you because you never saw society in such a different way. And it's probably hard to adjust."
Mack turned around as she continued.
"In a way, I am glad you're here," she said, "You protected someone who happened to become my best friend. If it wasn't for you, we would have a different leader. Leona is actually very kind, but she can hold her own."
"What about the others?" asked Mack.
"Well," said Lisa, "Joe is more experienced than all of us. It's a long story with him, but he fought a war prior to this one. And it was by choice he did it. Deep down, he is sweet, kind and very smart. Atticus is all about family values and how much he loves his family. Grayson is warming up to us because he's been a lone ninja swordsman all his life, just like you, but he was brought up to fight and not connect. Kyland, I'm still trying to figure it out. He just joined the team, but he's good in competitions."
She turned around, continuing, "We all have different ways to fight Ferro Fett and that's what makes us so unique. We don't have to strike all the time. And you'll see when we fight Skeletar again. We all have different ways of fighting, but we reach the same goal. And I am sure you can teach the men in our group about chivalry. Specifically, Joe…"
Mack laughed, "He seems to have a little flaw in that category."
"Oh believe me… if you know, you know," said Lisa, giggling.
The gold ranger grinned as he was drinking a bottle of water, "So, speaking of Leona… it is my duty to protect her from Ferro Fett."
Lisa nodded, "Yeah, you mentioned it."
"But, not in detail," said Mack, "You see… back in the Dinosaur Kingdom, King Leon and Drake appointed me to watch over Leona until she was fit to be queen."
Lisa turned around as she looked at him, "But, with the dimensional shift… that could've been years!"
"I know," Mack said, "When she was only a baby, Drake and I had to fight Ferro Fett alone. When the Prehistoric Pokémon of Sinnoh fought them, one being Aerodactyl. It was a battle that was easy to do. That is, until Shockhound fought me. Shockhound was so powerful and so fierce that he was able to use his secret power to bond with me. I was his host for years, hence why I never aged."
Lisa nodded, "Interesting… so, how?"
"That's the mystery," said Mack, "It had something to do with the gold Energy Crystal… but as Drake told me, once all ten crystals are together, the mysteries will unlock."
Lisa nodded as she turned around. Reaching into her backpack, she picked out a pink cupcake with green sprinkles. She turned around as she saw one of her Pokémon, Meganium, walk toward her.
"That's a beautiful Pokémon," said Mack, looking at what Lisa is doing, "What is that?"
"A Poffin Cupcake!" said Lisa, grinning, feeding Meganium, "Poffin Cupcakes are fun to make. They enhance a Pokémon's style. In this case, cuteness because its pink."
"That is awesome," said Mack, turning around, "How do you get a Pokémon of your own?"
Lisa turned around as she looked at him. She shrugged, "It all depends. Maybe one day, we'll need to go to Sandgem Town to speak to Professor Rowan. He usually has three starters to choose from about once every six months."
"Ooh… starter Pokémon?" asked Mack.
"And you get a Trainer ID," Lisa said, "Which I can explain more later."
Back in the Park of Oreburgh City…
Atticus was sweeping and mopping the floors as he was taking care of the cafeteria. The blue ranger was wiping some of the tables as well. It was slow for the most part. As he finished wiping another table, he turned around as he saw a customer sitting there. He turned around as he was looking at the watch. The museum didn't close for an hour. He looked to see who it was. It was a woman dressed in a black dress with black sunglasses. She looked up as he walked toward her.
"Hey, are you being helped?" asked Atticus.
"Oh… no," she said, grinning. Atticus stopped for a second. He heard that voice before. He turned around as he looked at her, "I will get you someone. One second."
As he turned around, he walked away to reach for his Dino Com on his wrist. As he did, Skeletar jumped him. Atticus landed on a table as Skeletar started waving his bone. A blue aura surrounded him as Atticus started to act cowardly. Laughing, Skeletar ripped the blue crystal from him. A blue aura surrounded him as Atticus started to crawl on all fours, heading toward the exit. Skeletar laughed as he was looking at the customer. The customer began to glow in a pink aura, transforming into Cremelia.
"Perfect… that was easy," he said.
Cremelia turned around as she looked at Atticus. Atticus stood there, worried as he was grabbed.
"If you want to live, you do as I say," she said.
Atticus gulped as he nodded. His eyes were bright purple as Cremelia grinned with ease.
Meanwhile…
Kyland threw a frisbee across as Lisa caught it. Lisa turned around as she returned it. Kyland caught it as he dashed over toward her. The other rangers met up as Kyland went to speak, "So, how's Mack? Where is he?"
"He went to take a walk around Amity Square alone. He is somewhat adapting. I just hope he can trust us to work with him," said Lisa, "Especially, now knowing what these crystals can do."
Joe turned around as he looked to see people not paying attention. His face was looking back and forth as he turned to Lisa, "Well, what do you mean?"
"Well, the ten crystals supposedly unlock a greater force. It's not just whoever controls time and space," said Lisa, turning to Joe.
Leona turned around as she looked at them, "Well, if I remember correctly…"
Suddenly, they felt someone tap behind. Leona turned around as Atticus arrived. Leona grinned as she turned around, "Hey, what's up?"
Immediately, Atticus's eyes began to glow bright purple. The rangers looked at each other as Skeletar arrived. Waving his bone, a purple whirlwind surrounded them as a metallic silver bone appeared, crushing them. Skeletar laughed as he went to grab the bones. Joe, Kyland and Grayson groaned as their crystals were grabbed. He then went toward Leona and Lisa. As Lisa's bone was taken, her energy crystal was taken. Next, Skeletar went for Leona. Touching her, the blue pendant began to glow. Instantly, a red spark hit Skeletar as he flew back. The metal bone disappeared. Leona turned around as she threw the pink Energy Crystal back. Lisa's bone began to glow in a bright pink aura as Lisa went back to normal. The other guys were crawling, cowardly.
"How? Bow to me!" he shouted.
"Thanks," said Lisa, "But, I don't bow to lizards."
Leona turned around as she saw a few people, who were also in the same boat. Apparently, Skeletar did an unannounced attack before getting to the team. Leona turned around as she looked at Skeletar, "Lisa, I think you have a score to settle?"
"I do," said Lisa, "Get the rest out."
"Pinkie, you think you can handle me alone? You have another thing coming!" shouted Skeletar.
"Shut it, lizard breath! Fossil Charger, Energize!"
Lisa spun around as she took out her Fossil Charger, completing her dance. Lisa pressed the button as a pink aura surrounded her. She turned around as she placed her charger in the blaster.
Bastiodon, Energize!
Spinning the blaster, she turned around as she pulled the trigger, "Unleash the Power!"
Pulling the trigger, a pink aura of energy surrounded her as she transformed into her ranger suit.
"Bastiodon! Dino Charge Pink!"
Immediately, Skeletar stretched out his bone. Three purple auras surrounded Grayson, Joe and Atticus. The four of them walked over, cowardly as they bowed at Skeletar. Skeletar laughed as he looked at them, "Destroy your friend!"
Lisa turned around as she saw Kyland, Atticus, Joe and Grayson heading her way. Lisa did her best to try to push away, but Kyland and Atticus tried to hold her down. Lisa kicked Grayson and Joe as she tried to get out of Kyland and Atticus's hold. As she screamed, golden bolts surrounded them as the guys landed on the ground. Lisa fell to the ground as Mack arrived. Mack dashed over as he saw Lisa on the ground.
"Are you okay?" asked Mack.
"I'm glad you're here… he is making them do things," said Lisa.
Mack turned around, noticing the four of them cringing in fear. Mack turned around as he looked at Skeletar, "You stole their courage and are controlling them to battle her. That is manipulation, my friend. Using cowards…"
"Cowards?" asked Joe, under the spell.
"Yes, you are a coward! You could've fought him," said Mack, stepping forward, "Guess it's my turn! Fossil Charger, Energize!"
Pressing the button, a golden aura surrounded his energy crystal into the fossil charger. He did a little spin, creating a dance as he placed his hand on the morpher. Pulling a lever, the energy slot opened to place the charger inside.
Aerodactyl, Energize!
"Unleash the Power!"
Closing the slot, he pulled the slot with his finger. A golden aura shot out of the morpher as an Aerodactyl emerged. Flying across, Aerodactyl bathed Mack into his ranger suit.
"Aerodactyl! Dino Charge Gold!"
Skeletar stretched out his bone as he went to strike. Using the Golden Amber Saber, both went at it with their weapons. Striking each other, Skeletar breathed a mega flamethrower from his body. Mack flipped backwards, dodging the attack. He turned around as he used his morpher, shooting him down with by pulling the trigger. Skeletar squirmed as he stumbled backwards. He then turned around as Lisa headed over toward him. Skeletar went to strike, only for Lisa to do two front flips and then a side kick. Skeletar was knocked off balance as she then took out her Fossil Blaster.
"Dino Armor, Engage!"
Immediately, her Dino Armor was placed on her right arm with her Bastiodon Drill. The Bastiodon Drill was shining in a pink aura as she pierced Skeletar. Skeletar screamed as he started wincing in pain. Looking up, Lisa swept as Skeletar landed on the ground. His bone staff fell to the ground. Turning around, Lisa noticed the four Energy Crystals on the ground. As she went to get them, pink beams pierced her chest armor as she fell. Looking up, Lisa noticed Cremelia with her cake blaster.
"I'll take these!" she said.
As she went to pick them up, someone tackled her to the ground. Cremelia turned around as Leona arrived, morphed, with her Tyrantrum Fang, smacking her down. Leona picked up the crystals as Lisa took out her Fossil Blaster. Shooting the bone staff, a purple aura was relinquished. The bones that were collected were all returning back to their rightful owners. Immediately, the other guys were able to collect their crystals.
"I am back!" shouted Joe, "Mack, Lisa?"
"Well, that was a scary time," said Atticus.
Kyland turned around as he looked at Cremelia, "You again!"
Cremelia squirmed as she looked at him, "I was so close… Skeletar!"
Skeletar stretched out his claws as a purple and red aura surrounded them. His mouth breathed flames as he combined his claws. A purple and red flame relinquished out. The three rangers dodged the attack. The guys landed on the ground as Mack and Lisa stood in front.
"Let's finish this!" said Lisa, placing the Bastiodon Charger in the Bastiodon Drill.
"Agreed," said Mack, placing two Aerodactyl Chargers in the blade.
Pink and golden energy surrounded their weapons as they were ready for their finisher.
"Drill Run!" shouted Lisa, stretching her Bastiodon Drill to the ground. A drill dug through with rocks and debris piercing upward. Immediately, Skeletar flipped forward as Mack jumped up with Golden Amber Saber.
"Thunder Fang Slash!"
Swinging his saber, a yellow bolt of energy appeared with yellow and electric teeth emerged. Skeletar was struck as he fell to the ground, exploding into pieces. Lisa walked over to Mack as he shook hands with her.
"Not bad for a young warrior," said Mack.
"Hey, I could learn a lot," said Lisa.
Leona grinned as she looked at both, "I'm glad things worked out for you."
Cremelia walked over as she stood there, huffing and puffing. She turned around as she reached for her communicator, "Maracturne!"
Immediately, without warning, a green beam pierced through the sky as Skeletar began to replicate and grow ten times bigger. Skeletar hissed as flames and shadow energy erupted the city. The seven rangers headed for cover as Mack turned around, looking for his last charger.
"Aerodactyl… I choose you!"
Throwing the golden Fossil Charger, a golden aura surrounded it as the Aerodactyl Zord flew across. The Aerodactyl Zord flapped its wings, releasing a golden beam, piercing Skeletar in the stomach. Immediately, Mack jumped up as he landed in the cockpit. The cockpit was bright gold on top with black and golden lights behind him. He placed his saber in the cockpit as he pressed a few buttons.
"Aerodynamic Change! Aero Amber Megazord!"
The Aerodactyl screamed as it swooped down. A golden aura surrounded the zord as it landed on the ground. The legs went from being bent to straight as the body was lifted. The wings folded into either side of its body as the body was now standing as a human body. The hands detached from the wings as golden arms grew out. The hands connected to the body as the head moved down to the chest. A human head appeared with a silver and black helmet that had an Amber Fossil on top. The head had green eyes.
"Aero Amber Megazord, Battle Ready!"
The rangers watched as the Aero Amber Megazord went to slash the creature with its wing. Immediately, Skeletar slashed the Megazord in the stomach. The Megazord landed on the ground, causing an mini quake in Oreburgh City. The Aero Amber Megazord struggled to get up as Skeletar went to release flames. Flames started to pierce the armor as Mack held on.
"Mack!" shouted Leona, turning to the others. The others were tired as they were watching what was going on. Joe was about to fall asleep, feeling exhausted. Leona and Lisa walked over as they were slapped across the floor, "WAKE UP!"
Atticus walked over as the others followed, "We know… Megazords. Sorry, ladies… we're exhausted from that attack! Come on…"
The four rangers nodded as they stretched their chargers, "Fossil Chargers, Energize!"
Doing a small, tiring dance, the four of them turned around as they placed their Fossil Chargers in their Fossil Blasters.
Fossil Chargers, Energize!
Spinning the Fossil Blaster, they stretched them in the air, "Unleash the Power!"
Flashes of blue, black, green and aqua surrounded them as they morphed. Atticus, Leona and Lisa immediately took out their next set of chargers.
"Bastiodon…"
"Tyrantrum…"
"Carracosta…"
"Tri-Fossil Fusion!"
As they threw the three Fossil Chargers, their zords appeared via ranger color. Immediately, Tyrantrum opened its mouth. Blue and pink energy surrounded Bastiodon and Carracosta as Tyrantrum ingested the energy. A red aura surrounded the Tyrantrum as the legs began to rise higher, seeing robotic feet. The Tyrantrum Zord roared as the upper body rotated, leaving the tail to be the left side and the head of the zord on the right. The Carracosta and Bastiodon jumped up. Carracosta shrunk its head, arms, legs into the shell. The tail transformed into the right hand of the Megazord. The Bastiodon raised its tail as it connected to the left side with its legs and arms shrinking, forming the left hand and arm of the Megazord. A human head popped out of the body. It was a silver head with a red helmet that looked like a Tyrantrum helmet. Green eyes glowed as it started jumping.
"Dino Charge Megazord, Battle Ready!"
Skeletar twirled his purple bone as he released flames from it. Both Megazords were getting pushed away by the attack. The rangers held on as he released a shadow like attack, causing a little bit of damage to both Megazords. The Aero Amber Megazord jumped up as it slashed Skeletar in the stomach. Skeletar screamed as he landed on the ground.
"Let's try this on for size," said Lisa, taking out a magenta Fossil Charger. She removed her Fossil Blaster and placed the Fossil Charger in the blaster, "Hypnosis, fire!"
Immediately, opening the mouth a pink wave of energy was unleashed as Skeletar fell to a trance. Skeletar started waving his arms back and forth, yawning as he went to strike, only to trip and fall. He laughed as he started to fall asleep.
"Great job, Lisa! Let's finish the job!" shouted Mack.
"Got it!" said Lisa, stretching out her hand. In a pink aura, her Fossil Saber appeared, "Dino Charge Saber!"
The other rangers nodded as they stretched their arms revealing their Fossil Sabers. Picking them up, Lisa's saber began to glow in a bright pink aura as the saber began to glow in a greyish-gold saber with five energy crystals of their ranger color. With each crystal, there was an engravement of the Jaw, Claw, Cover, Dome and Armor Fossils.
A blue aura surrounded the Dino Charge Megazord as an exact replica of the sword materialized, but bigger.
"Now, the finisher!" shouted Mack.
The Aero Amber Megazord began to stretch its arms out as golden blades surrounded each arm. A golden aura surrounded the wings as the Megazord charged forward. In a flash of golden energy, it swooped toward Skeletar faster than the average motorcycle. Mack grabbed his Golden Amber Saber and raised it above his head.
"Sky Attack Strike!"
He went straight through Skeletar's body with the Megazord. Skeletar winced as blue sparks began to surround him.
"Dino Charge Saber, Fossil Strike!"
Raising the saber, a golden circle was formed as replicas of Tyrantrum, Armaldo, Carracosta, Kabutops and Bastiodon arrive. As the saber reached the top, a golden energy beam surrounded the whole blade as it went down on Skeletar. Skeletar felt its whole body split in two as he fell to the ground. Explosions surrounded the area as the Dino Charge Megazord stood. The Aero Amber Megazord walked next to it.
"That's another monster down!" said Lisa.
"Indeed," Mack responded.
Later that afternoon…
The seven rangers were walking back to Oreburgh City. The rangers were impressed with Mack's new style as he looked at them. Joe looked over as he went to speak, "That was impressive, Mack. Thanks for saving our hyde."
Mack turned around as he looked at him. Silently, Mack went to speak as he looked at him. He nodded his head, "Sure."
Joe grinned as he turned to him, "I am sure you will get used to talking with us eventually."
Mack grinned, "Well, if you keep fighting lousy-.."
"Hey," said Joe, but Mack started laughing. Joe calmed down as he looked at him, "Okay, you were joking."
Kyland was walking with Lisa and Grayson. Lisa turned around as she went to walk backwards, "Things turned out really well."
"Yeah," said Kyland, looking at Lisa, "I don't know what you did but he's adjusting well. You got him pegged."
"Not bad," said Grayson, chuckling, "You know how to read people!"
"I do," said Lisa, turning to them, "But, something is a miss."
"What do you mean?" Kyland asked.
Lisa shrugged, "When Leona was attacked by Skeletar, her pendant knocked Skeletar out of focus, which was why we were able to escape. I wonder if that pendant has something to do with her past?"
Grayson turned around, seeing Leona and Atticus having a conversation. Kyland scratched his head as he turned to Lisa. Lisa had a point. With what has been happening lately, Leona has been more in tune with her pendant. The rangers speculated more when they try to find the Energy Crystals, but as more clues come, the complicated it got. The two rangers didn't have a response. The rangers turned forward as they were walking down the mountain range, seeing Oreburgh City in the distance. Mack turned around, smiling as he looked at Lisa. Lisa grinned back as Mack turned his head to the road. The sun was starting to set in the west, causing another day to be complete.

Poké Rangers Dino Charge Chapter 13: The Princess's Guardian
A/N: Well, what do you know… Mack is slowly adjusting and well this was one of those filler chapters, but we get to know Mack more. There is more character development for Mack in this chapter coming up. I am looking forward to this. I know we mentioned Rampardos, but that arc won't be for a few more weeks.
I also can't believe summer is almost coming to an end! But, luckily I have more chapters written so it should be easy uploads. Right now, working on Chapter 21, so at least, if real life does happen, you have chapters till at least Thanksgiving/Christmas time.
