" nathan come on wake! up !!" Haley said shaking him " five more minutes haley " he mumbled as he stirred his head in the pillow
" you have practice today and i have my interview! Plus you booked breakfast with our room and i really wanne eat !! So get your ass up to the bathroom while i order us breakfast " she said as she kept shaking him " ughh finee im up " he said getting up from the bed and walking towards the bathroom .
In the bathroom Nathan was about to grab his toothbrush from the cup when he glanced at Haley's short purple toothbrush next to his much taller blue toothbrush he chuckled at the view she was adorable .
For gods sake Nathan stop thinking about her shes annoying stupid and stubborn .
as he got out of the bathroom here she was sitting in a dark wash denim mini skirt with a Casey Plaid Pintucked Shirt in Red covering a white top she wore underneath his eyes shifted to her leg she was wearing a Suede Woven Ankle Strap Platform Heel ( her look in 7x02 if that makes sense) .

" finally your up come eat with me ! " she motioned for him to come breaking him from his thoughts.
" my favorite chocolate chip pancake yum ! Thanks hales for ordering breakfast " he said as he started to eat
" your the one paying. it should be me thanking you " she laughed her laughter filled the room as Nathan chuckled
" Thanks for dropping me off Nate dont forget after your practice we have lunch with Ian and his wife also good luck with practice even tho you will still lose " She said as she waved goodbye and walked into the building .
" Haley James? " a blonde tall skinny woman called out " yes thats me " Haley replied as she raised her hand and followed the woman
" hi I'm Melanie Thomas well you can call me mel ! How are you Haley" The woman said smiling softly at Haley
" well hi Mel I'm fine thank you " Haley replied smiling back at the blonde haired woman
" we couldn't believe when we saw that haley James send us her resume to be a producer at Music City Record label " The woman said smiling at a now confused Haley
" and why is that? " the brunette asked confused
" technically your a Rockstar ! Every record label knows Haley james and how talented she is ! Haley you have a talent your voice is amazing you need to share your talent with the world i remember watching you play at the USO Show on Tv and god Haley you were wonderful . " she sighed and continued "and when you released your album back when you were just in high school every label wanted to sign you and everyone wanted you on tour and you still refused, so chances of you being a producer here are low but chances of you being a musician are very high. Think about it Haley we would love to make you a rockstar, Think about it and let us know " Mel said as she let out a deep breath waiting for Haley to answer her
" I'll think about it " Haley said as she sighed
Haley stood infront of the label building thinking about her conversation with Melanie over and over again when all of a sudden the song ' pocketful of sunshine ' started to play shaking all her thoughts away when she realized if was her phone .
She took it out of her pocket seeing who was calling her when the name ' the stupid scott ' with a picture of Nathan popped up, Haley pressed the green button.
'WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU NATHAN? IM STANDING OUTSIDE AND REMIND YOU THAT WERE IN THE MIDDLE OF JULY DUMBASS '
' Im fine Thank you hales, practice went great how was your interview? '
' UGHH I HATE YOU. YOU BETTER BE HERE IN TEN MINUTES OR I SWEAR TO GOD I WILL MAKE SURE TO MAKE YOUR LIFE A LIVING HELL ! '
' hales look to your right… '
Haley did as he said when she saw his Black Range Rover came in sight with Nathan smiling at her and waving with one hand while the other held the phone up his ears .
' you look so happy to see me hales '
' you and your stupid ego ughhh ' haley said into the phone as she hanged up and walked over to his car and got into the passenger seat.
" well hello there Haley. Im fine thank you for asking " Nathan said smiling sarcastically
" shut up and drive to Ian's " Haley said as she smiled back at him
" let me choose a song you dumbass " Haley said angrily as she tries to fight Nathan who is covering the CarPlay with his big hands
" no your going to play some angry chicks music " Nathan said as he tried to fight off the small woman . gosh was she too strong for a short small woman .
Haley just glared at him while giving him the finger .
" finally we're here ! " Haley said excitedly as she got out of the car and walked to the front door of Her brother's house and knocked the door . The door opened revealing a blonde Tall woman with a toddler attached to her hips as she lowered him to the ground .
" haleyyy I was starting to think you blew us up " Julie said as she pulled haley in a tight embrace
" i missed you hales you dont call or text, tree hill got you busyyy " the blondie said as she tightened her embrace around the petite woman's body
" i missed you too Julie and dont think for a second i blew you off i would blew Ian but never you my favorite sister in law " the brunette said smiling as she looked down and saw the little boy with green eyes that mirrored the blonde woman's eyes .
" Auntie hawey ! " The green eyed boy said as he started to jump up and down
" if it isn't my favorite man ! " the brown eyes said as she knelt down to the little boys height and brought him in for a hug .
" ouch hales i thought i was your favorite man " Nathan said pouting " hi Nathan " Julie said laughing as she kissed Nathan on the cheek
" hi Julie how are you? You look too good to be a mom of two " Nathan said as he flashed her his infamous Scott smirk
" Ian!! Hurry up Nathan is flirting with me !! " Julie shouted while laughing at Nathans now scared expression .
" Nathan Scott still flirting with my wife even tho she's married? " a tall brown haired man said laughing " Ian !! " Haley said as she came running to her big brother's arms and hugged him tightly .
" baby james ! I missed you where have you been? what does a man have to do to get a call or text from his baby sister? " Ian said as he looked down at haley who pulled away from him to look at him .
" I-I've been busy with teaching and stuff lately. Im sorry for not being around much " Haley said sadly as she looked into her older brothers eyes . " its okay hales but promise me you will start to call at least once a week ? " The older brother said as he put his arms around his young sister's shoulder and walked her into his house.
They all gathered around the living room when the couple excused themselves to put their kids down for a nap. When they were out of sight Haley moved in closer to Nathan and pinched his forearm.
" owww Haley let gooo what the hell?? " The giant man pouted .
" no and your going to hear me and i will let go when i finish " The small woman said as she pinched him harder. He nodded in silence .
" Ian nor Julie know we live together none of my brothers know thats why I've been out of contact with them. If they knew i was sharing an apartment with a man let alone you. No offense or if they know that I'm tight on money and thats why I'm sharing it with you they will get mad at me for not asking them for money or for a home. So please dont tell them " Haley said as she stopped pinching Nathan and rubbed his forearm apologetically .
" okay okay I promise you dont worry " He said assuring her with a smile .
" lunch is ready guys ! " Julie shouted from the dining room .
Nathan and haley sat next to each other while across them were the married couple.
" so who wants Julie James famous mashed potatoes? " Julie asked the trio " Julie James.. that sounds so perfect " Ian said as he kissed his wife's cheek " oh your getting more than mashed potatoes " Julie winked at her husband
" ewww yuck party foul on the mental image " haley said gagging in disgust while next to her Nathan was laughing his head off .
" aww baby J is jealous dont worry im all yours tomorrow. How about shopping? " Julie said smiling at haley while putting mac and cheese on her sister in laws plate .
" Ian you lucky bastard. Your wife makes the best mac and cheese! " Haley said as she started to eat
" a 23 year old woman with a appetite of a 5 year old " Nathan said laughing at haley
" shut up you jackass " haley said as she kicked his leg from down the table
" ow hales watch the leg !! A kick like that would end my career! " Nathan pouted while Ian and Julie started to laugh at them .
They talked about everything over lunch. They talked about their lives and work, told old stories about each other as they finished up eating and moved to the living room to continue their conversation. Haley offered to help Julie with the dishes but she refused even after arguing with Julie she wouldn't let Haley help.
" its okay hales i will do them later don't worry " Julie said smiling at haley as she sat on the couch across from haley.
Haley glanced at the clock it was now 4:30 PM . She stood up from her seat and nodded towards Nathan who understood the assignment and stood up too .
" it was nice catching up with you guys but we have to leave " Haley said smiling as her brother walked over to her and hugged her .
" you better be in contact with us or i swear i will pull the Chris card and no one wants the Chris card " Ian says as he pulled away to look at his baby sis .
" i promise but please don't pull the Chris card " Haley laughed as she hugged her sister in law while Nathan gave Ian a manly hug " you look after her Scott or i swear- " Ian said as he got interrupted by Haley " relax Ian he only drove me here no need to pull the overprotective brother card "
As they said their goodbyes Haley and Nathan walked towards Nathans car and got in . Nathan chuckled to himself as he started the car.
" what are you laughing about you dork " Haley said confused
" what is a Chris card? And why every James brother i know is scared of it except the Man himself Chris " He said laughing
" laugh it out Scott , The Chris Card is when you wont reply or answer any Chris's calls or texts he will track you down since he's a chief officer and he can do whatever he wants. One time back at Stanford i didn't answer my phone so he asked Luke where i was and your brother being a dumbass told him i was in some college frat house party and of course everyone was underage and there were drinking and Chris being Chris called the police department in Stanford and told them about the party Ten minutes later the cops came and started asking for everyones ID " Haley said sighing " Im scared now hales i should give him a call " Nathan said laughing as he drove away from Ian's house .
Back at the hotel Nathan and Haley got ready to go out for some drinks even tho they both couldn't stand each other they decided to make fun out of each other's company.
" come on hales lets goooooo !! " Nathan yelled from the bedroom as haley yelled back a "okayyy" from the bathroom . Nathan was wearing a button up navy blue shirt with black jeans and belt . Haley came out of the bathroom wearing a tilt off shoulder top with black trousers and black pumps ( 7x14 look ) .
" ready to go to your rich people club? " Haley said laughing as she puts on her gold earrings . Nathan raised his head from his phone to look at haley . He felt his heart skip a beat, his throat went dry, his lungs stopped working. She looks so beautiful.. ughh its getting harder to hate her everyday !!
" sooo how do i look ? " Haley asked smiling as she twirled around breaking Nathan from his thoughts. " uhh you look good " He replied smiling she looks more than good..
" only good?? Nathan come on! " haley pouted laughing " okay okay you look pretty can we go now? " he said smiling softly at her. " well why thank you, you dont look bad i guess " she said laughing as she rolled her eyes playfully and walked towards the door with Nathan following her .
Its going to be a longgg night …
Nathan thought to himself as he walked to the hotel elevator with Haley in front of him .
Haley and Nathan arrived at the club and walked over to the bar to get some drinks.
" Nate this club is amazing!! No wonder rich people hang out here " Haley said smiling at Nathan who smiled back and said " its my treat hales get whatever you want "
" what can i get you guys? " The bartender asked the duo
" tequila shots please " Haley said smirking at Nathan as the bartender nodded and left
" whoa hales what do you have on your little mind? " Nathan asked scared as haley got closer to his ear and whispered " well since its just me and you tonight how about we play ' I never ' like old times when we would get drunk by playing it in high school and college " he could feel her hot breath on his neck .
god !! She isn't making this any easier anymore!
" here you go " the bartender said as he set the four shots on the counter both Nathan and Haley thanked him .
" okay this fun !! I'll start " Haley said giggling while Nathan laughed at her excitement and said " go ahead you goof " .
" umm okay i never slept with the whole cheerleading squad back in high school " Haley said laughing at Nathan who is now pissed " your just mean James " Nathan said rolling his eyes at haley " come on drink up " she said laughing at him as he took his shot
" my turn time for revenge get ready james.I never tutored the most amazing basketball player back in high school " Nathan said winking at haley " but your not amazing? " haley said confused " Just drink you dork ! " Nathan said angrily as Haley laughed and drank the shot .
After playing ' i never ' and drinking for the past half hour .
" i never slept with my college professor so i could play basketball. Come on Scott drink up " Haley said laughing drunkenly
" thats not fair ! Your cheating ! " Nathan said furiously as he drank the shot while haley shifted in her seat almost failing from the stool as Nathan caught her before she fell " come on you drunken goof lets get you back home " Nathan said as he paid for their drinks .
" but im not drunk Nathan " haley said as she smiled at him " ughh there's four of you !! " she yelled pointing at Nathan " not drunk huh come on lets go " Nathan said as he wrapped his arms around Haleys tiny waist as she had her arm around his shoulders . as Nathan walked them out the door and called for a cab since he drank tonight he couldn't drive.
he opened the cab door for Haley letting her in first then he slid next to her .
Haley had her head on Nathans shoulder as she drifted to sleep while Nathan was telling the driver their destination. The drive back to the hotel was filled with silence since Haley was asleep. Nathan couldn't help but smile while looking at haley who was sleeping on his shoulder he couldn't think about everything else except for how beautiful she is .
" come on hales wake up we're here " Nathan whispered in Haleys ear as the hotel building came in sight . Haley mumbled a 'okay' and stirred her head in his chest . Nathan hated that he had to wake her up. he loved having her sleep on his chest with his arms wrapped around her .
" your not going to wake up aren't you? I guess i have to carry you " he muttered to himself as the cab driver parked in front of the hotel . Nathan thanked the driver and gave him money while he carried haley on his back and walked towards the hotel entrance.
He lied haley down on her bed and walked over to the mini fridge and got her a cold water bottle and opened it " come on hales wake up and drink some water please " he said softly as she woke up drank some water and drifted to sleep again . " sweet dreams angel " he whispered softly as he tucked her hair behind her ear.
